# A SHAMELESS LIE

Posted on April 15, 2024 13 Comments

Liar, liar pants on fire

We know that Sitiveni Rabuka is a habitual liar but his latest lasulasu-jhoot really takes the keke. The Prime Minister says it isn’t true what Grubsheet reported last week – that the Chair of the PAP’s disciplinary committee, Alefina Vuki, resigned from the committee and the People’s Alliance in protest at Sitiveni Rabuka’s decision to retain Lynda Tabuya as minister after the Committee found the allegations of drug taking and illicit sex against her proven.

FACT: Alefina Vuki herself has confirmed to Grubsheet the veracity of our story.

FACT: It is a bald-faced lie for the Prime Minister to say she resigned because she is being given “a government job”. Her position on the Human Rights and Anti-Discrimination Commission was announced last September (see below), long before the Committee’s inquiry and findings and the subsequent decision by the People’s Alliance to remove Lynda Tabuya as deputy leader.

We simply cannot trust the “Snake” to tell us the truth about anything. His decision to retain Lynda Tabuya as Minister for Women and Children is unforgivable and will haunt him all the way to the next election. But he could at least have the decency to remain silent about the circumstances of Alefina Vuki’s decision to have nothing more to do with him or the People’s Alliance because he has failed the most basic of moral tests.

The announcement of Alefina Vuki’s “government posts” seven months ago.
Judgment day awaits. For Siti…
and his equally shameless “Show us your tatts” Minister for Women and Children.

Is anyone else getting sick of seeing the crusty Stache?

From the early 80’s till now is a very long run! Would love to see a fresh look.

Example of this govt being stuck in the past.
    Stagnation is not good.

lol at Crusty Stache. My better half still has his but when it’s removed it looks creepy and everyone wants it back.

Hangover of the 80’s RFMF offficers.

Quite surprisingly that’s how people can spot his career in another lifetime.

And now the stache is back in fashion.

      However I digress.

Pio was busy doing farewells today I see. He’s distracting. I can’t watch him. Heck, I can’t watch any of them.

      Shameful scary mess.

The term “daidai” in Vanua Levu speak literally a liar, but unlike English culture where a lie is derogatory, in Vanua Levu u cud be a dai dai and still be considered a hero, the key is to sell a lie and get away with it, like a dummy pass in rugby.

So the more Rabuka gets away with his trickery the more smug he will feel about himself.

The trick is to call his bluff every step of the way as u are doing GD.

He will eventually paint himself into a corner and reveal his true incompetent self.

Rabuka has a PhD in lies and womanising. His new chapter is also being intentionally forgetful.
I so hope to see a day where all these coup artists are taken to task and Fiji is coup leader free.
Fresh taste of leadership who are there to serve.

Was talking to Fijians at home today. They work in the government sectors. I asked which media do they read or follow the most for Fiji news?

    Answer: Grubsheet and Fiji Leaks.

Had a giggle and thought it is great that Fijians are watching corruption unfold before their eyes. Great job Lal and Davis.

Whilst I’m world travelled a thousand times over I’m a political featherweight so forgive my well intentioned opinions.

I can’t help but think if we had someone like Lee Hsien Loong PM of Singapore in for a few years, just like Lee Kuan Yew-he would wip things into shape quick fast. But where to find and replicate him. The term democratic dictatorship comes to mind with Singapore.

But in a space of less than ten years Singapore went from having open drains and dangerous timber shanty towns into the mega modern country it is now.

No objection to chewing gum being banned for a while (doesn’t apply now).

Singapore is a small country like Fiji………

Fine, straighten me out if I’m wrong……

Especially you GD. I just admire the progression of Singapore from way back then til now. Yes everyone has to toe the line……..

Wish I could shake Alefina’s hand and tell her congratulations well done for standing her ground and not being intimidated by those grossly incompetent double standard characters. She gives us hope that one day they will be held accountable for what they are putting the country through. Vinaka to Graham Davis & Victor Lal that we don’t have to be in Fiji to know what is really happening there.

RABUKA is definitely a big time failure and liar from 1987.
Yes I will agree with you that he is a habitual lying machine. It came from the horse’s mouth about him going to Veronica Malani’s dad in the village. Promising him that he would reopen the bombing case once he got back to parliament. To this day he hasn’t.
Rabuka’s tracks of lying and fingerprints are all over the place. He has to fabricate and lie to the Vanua to save his stinking ass from being caught. It also came from the horse’s mouth Kaiyum senior that he received $$$ to let his son Aiyaz Saiyad Kaiyum get out of the country.
What a track record of a womanising PM. The list goes on that low down to the toilet of where he had sex with a woman.
A lay preacher who shed crocodile tears during his campaign . Asking forgiveness for some wrongs but held some saying that he would take it with him to the grave.
THESE ARE PROVEN FACTS THAT CAN NOT BE DENIED.
Yet the venomous snake ???? slithers on . ????????????

About Grubsheet

Graham Davis
Grubsheet Feejee is the blogsite of Graham Davis, an award-winning journalist turned communications consultant who was the Fijian Government’s principal communications advisor for six years from 2012 to 2018 and continued to work on Fiji’s global climate and oceans campaign up until the end of the decade.

Fiji-born to missionary parents and a dual Fijian-Australian national, Graham spent four decades in the international media before returning to Fiji to work full time in 2012. He reported from many parts of the world for the BBC, ABC, SBS, the Nine and Seven Networks and Sky News and wrote for a range of newspapers and magazines in Australia, New Zealand and Fiji.

Graham launched Grubsheet Feejee in 2011 and suspended writing for it after the Fijian election of 2014, by which time he was working at the heart of government. But the website continued to attract hits as a background resource on events in Fiji in the transition back to parliamentary democracy.

Grubsheet relaunches in 2020 at one of the most critical times in Fijian history, with the nation reeling from the Covid-19 crisis and Frank Bainimarama’s government shouldering the twin burdens of incumbency and economic disintegration.

Grubsheet’s sole agenda is the national interest; the strengthening of Fiji’s ties with the democracies; upholding equal rights for all citizens; government that is genuinely transparent and free of corruption and nepotism; and upholding Fiji’s service to the world in climate and oceans advocacy and UN Peacekeeping.
