The moral authority of the People’s Alliance to govern Fiji is very much on the line this weekend as the Fiji Times reports that the party is to retain the Queen of Tarts, Lynda Tabuya, as a member of the party and an MP despite her pornographic video, drug-taking, adultery with a married fellow minister and tissue of lies, including to the Electoral Office about her family’s millions.
The PAP’s General Secretary, Sila Balawa, says the party is equally split over whether Lynda Tabuya should be expelled for misconduct that has brought the PAP into disrepute or retained because of her supposed electoral appeal, though whether she will have the same vote-pulling power in 2026 that she had in 2022 is extremely doubtful.
That means that half the party will be up in arms if the Fiji Times is right and the PAP keeps her on. And that means that one of the most important requisites for any political party – unity – is going to be sacrificed for expediency and the political ambitions of one woman who would not survive in politics anywhere else on Earth.
Is the People’s Alliance prepared for the mass defections that are bound to happen in its ranks either now or when a plausible alternative political grouping emerges in the lead-up to the election that makes a stand it will have been gifted for proper conduct in government?
There were already resignations from the party when the Prime Minister ignored the disciplinary committee’s findings last March that Lynda Tabuya was guilty of a “sex and illicit drug scandal” in Room 233 and retained her in the cabinet. But there will be more as many Fijians are repelled by the Co-Chair of the government’s Task Force on Pornography making a pornographic video of herself that is now embedded in the phones of the thousands of Fijians who’ve shared it.
Lynda Tabuya’s supporters in the People’s Alliance evidently believe that a public apology will suffice – the hackneyed favoured tactic to try to defuse the impact of any scandal in Fiji. But if it is true that at least two other pornographic videos exist – and involving different people – these are going to be potent weapons in the hands of the PAP’s opponents if they circulate in the election lead-up.
This is a woman who blithely breaks all the rules in politics. She was found guilty by her own party of the sexual antics in Room 233, the drug-taking and the lies. Now she admits to making porn even as she complains of a porn crisis in Fiji corrupting our young people. And in an added political burden, she presided as head of parliament’s Emoluments Committee over the enrichment of the nation’s politicians with a 138 per cent pay rise when more than half the Fijian people live in poverty.
Can the People’s Alliance seriously be planning to keep her as a role model for the nation’s young people? To say “sorry, eh” and sail on in the blind hope that everyone else inhabits the same moral vacuum? It is starting to look that way.
It is also starting to look as if the People’s Alliance is prepared to sell its soul for the 30 pieces of silver that constitute Lynda Tabuya’s political base. And in doing so, to rip the party apart and commit political suicide with an election just months away.
Madness.

And from the Fiji Sun…

Quibble with the description of the PAP as incompetent? Then take a look at today’s Fiji Sun front page. More than two years after it came to power, it cannot or will not fix the crisis at our biggest hospital, the CWM.
And yet spearheaded by Lynda Tabuya, the nation’s MPs voted themselves the biggest pay rise in Fijian history.
A day of reckoning awaits.

The party is just taking a page out of Trumps playbook, his positive polling numbers went up with every crime that he was indicted and convicted for.
He is a convicted felon many times over, and was still elected President of the USA.
Some people in politics thrive on wrongdoing. Unfortunately, she is one of them.
Shameful!!
Shameful but Fiji has a forgiving population. The same could be said of the US and Trump.
Fiji will forgive her in the same way they forgave the father of coups in Fiji who promised he was now a changed man …but nothing has changed…he now gathered around him his fellow coup plotters from 1987 eg Kububola (Fiji HICOM NZ); Naivaulrua (Minister for Policing); Taraikininini (Fiji PRUN); Lesi Korovavala (PS PMs Office) etc thus completing the circle he drew in 1987.
PAP need Lynda’s vote pulling power. They need her numbers.
She has already been yellow-carded. A formal apology will secure her return to the front bench. You can bet your houses on it.
..1987 eg Kububola; Naivaulrua; Taraikininini; Korovavala…
+Balawa pap secretary. Hard core racist masquerading as a good guy.
Davo
Relax mada lai davo Trump is living rent free in your head.
The collision government has made 3 huge economic mistakes:
1. $700 million write off to students; insane and what we could do with that money now.
2. Tax holiday while raising VAT holiday in rotten process and conflict of interest
3. Putting up MP’s pay
Then add the daily scandals.
1. $700 million write-off did not impact the budget much in the short term. Repayments received were less than $4m a year. And repayments are based on 20% of graduates pay when they start work. With the cost of living now, the people are better off by govt foregoing $4m repayments a year to ensure graduates have extra 20% of their pay in their pocket. In fact, the bond should be doubled to minimize the brain drain so Fijk gets the most of its investments on these students as these are now effectively scholarships.
2. Tax rebate given to Fiji Rugbh was to ensure Fiji Rugby get adequate sponsorship. Fiji Rugbh for the first time in its history is now standing on its own feet. With a couple more years of financial stability, Fiji Rugby would be be financially secure and be able to support its operations and rugbh programs like a professional outfit should.
3. MPs pay need to be a lot higher. At the moment, we’re paying peanuts. That’s why we are getting monkeys. No highly qualified people would risk their secure income to spend their own money and campaign and then to live on $50k as a MP. If you want to attract high calibre people, set a good salary so that really qualified people would be interested to get into the circus and make make this place a developed country.
We’ve got monkeys even with pay increases. You need to take a reality check instead of playing spinner for these low-lifes.
Sai, is that you baimaan? Or perhaps one of your groggy lackeys pretending to be under cover.
Funny you make no mention of billionares getting 7- years tax holidays and how that impacts govt revenue.
So yeah, f**k off.
MPs are elected SERVE and not to enrich themselves with twenty times what the average Fijian earns.
Plus house, coconut furniture to match their coconut heads, plus duty free priviliges, plus free iphones, laptop (for keeps!) landline phones, free health insurance including overseas free overseas medical, business class travel, $3000 per day per diem, 5-star hotels, smoking weed, making porn and drinking themselves silly, screwing each other, adultery, and living large at tax-payer expense–to name a few.
So yeah, f**k off.
To further prove you’re a first class dunbf**k with your idiotic remarks to match, understand thay the more the renumeration package theory Neanderthals we attract. Lower salaries were designed to attract not leeches, but SUCCESSFUL, intelligent candidates instead of broke lawyers abusing trust finds, criminal MPs, pedo president, recycled dumderhead pm with prunes for balls bumbling his way through his racist agenda.
So, yeah f**k off.
Have you compared Fiji’s parliamentary pay-pack as a third world country to what the rest of the Pacific island states’ MPs earn? Our huge budget deficit? Our GDP? We BEG for budget support yet shamelessly pay our MPs exorbitant renumeration.
So, yeah f**k off.
Rugby is far from standing on it own feet — the idiots owe money to the Fijiana team salary. Have you forgotten too the team were sleeping rough on tour, were turned away feom restaurants for nonpayments by rugby house and were at the mercy of the diaspora for food not too long ago.
Stop your cherry picking jibberish. They make you look the fool you are.
So yeah, f**k off.
Lynda’s “nanga naach” (naked dance) and repeatedly shows she is either quite empty upstairs or has many internal issues to resolve. If only the racist corrupt coupist PM was a leader, he would let her go from the party to resolve those issues in private. See if a better person can formed out of some reflection and action planning guided by some professional help.
History shows these guys have no emotional intelligence whatsoever. Their awareness level is low and actions they take have no critical thinking involved. They don’t learn any lessons.
Being a slut is not a virtue. We want our party to be our flagship brand, PAP. Worse if you’re a politician and a slut to not one but many men.
Do your f**ken jobs PAP or resign if you have weak balls or subscribe to cronyism and nepotism.
She should have been history a long time ago! What are you trying to tell your supporters here?
That’s it’s ok to be a PAP MP, worse – a female one and sleep around. You forfeited a private life for public life privileges.
That it’s ok to make cheap nude videos, not surfacing now from teenage days but done months ago as a sitting Minister!!
That it’s ok to be a drug addict – it shows in her lack of respect to step down voluntarily. Something is seriously wrong in her big head. She has no morals and no class.
But she has a family. Isn’t that enough to do right or are they all in it together. Too many questions for our worst politician in Fiji’s history.
May the wrath of God Himself wipe off this party so our nation can be saved. We’re rotting from the top!
We’re watching PAP. We don’t need a PR team to spew lies after lies promoting scum on social media. You’re forgetting your 160,000 plus supporters who didn’t vote in this shameless scum.
We have God PAP so watch and learn in 2026!!
Well said! They will pay, big time come next GE. They are just a different kind of animal from the 2006 coupsters but power hungry animals all the same, with no sense of decency or shame.
Walking naked emperors…
I wonder if this is a deliberate leak to test the water and see if they can get away with keeping her.
Whether or not this is the decision or a manipulative leak, keeping her will reaffirm the disaster that is the Coalition.
I wonder who has no shame the most? Bee-man or Lynda?
You’re always coming up with tough questions, Slacker.
Ha ha! Jokes
PAP shouldn’t underestimate the power of the voters and social media.
Lynda’s opposition including those that have deflected from her will continue to use snapshots of her video to derail her chances in the lead up to the 2026 election.
If PAP wants to go down this path and retain her in parliament, go ahead but don’t blame your supporters who are already looking at other alternatives.
The people of Fiji can now see very clearly what PAP is all about ! They will sacrifice good manners; proper public decorum; a role model mum and Minister for Women image in order to keep their votes !
There you have it Fiji- PAP is more worried about the votes Lynda has to your children and who they get to have as their role Model!
Girls can now dance nude and sleep around. That’s the message by PAP in their retaining Lynda in their party! They are saying it’s ok to participate in the increasing number of HIV cases by sleeping around and doing porn and drugs because PAP condones it from its highest offices!
What a shame Fiji! How the standards have fallen so bad ! What a shame to every mum and women in Fiji!
Our images have just been reduced to trash !
The Peoples Alliance is much more concerned about VOTES than VIRTUE.
The So-Called GODLY are very plainly choosing between GODLESS and GOOD.
Their supporters Alliance of PERVERSE PEOPLE.
Shows what kind half of their support base is when the choice between Good and Devilish behavior is so hard to decide!
I know certain sects in Fiji are somewhat obsessed with what they call the Kaiyum Sunset Clause…I dont even know what they mean.
Anyhow, just look whats happened and happening to our children, our youth, our elderly, our resources and our infrastructure and the general moral decay of our society over the past 24 months.
The acceleration of these these things by Bimaan, Rabuka and Gavoka, that my friends is the real Sun Setting on our people and our country. That is the Sunset in real time. If you have half a brain, think about it.
Only 2 days ago Pastor Marian Edgar Budde slammed Trump, the leader of the free world, about his morality and the world clapped in silence. It has been the running joke for late night tv hosts and stand up comics globally, repeated at family dinner parties and school children reminded of morals and what they stand for.
I now await with baited breath for our much vaunted the Vulagi Archbishop Peter Loy Wong, to put on that medieval Vulagi robe of his, grab his staff 😺, wander down the stairs and slam the PAP, nay all politicians, and the Coup Master and his dancing queen about their morality or the certain lack of it.
Talking about the poor all the time Peter just doesn’t cut it mate. Why not address the Pollies responsible for the plight of the poor, remember, those that took a 50% pay hike ?
The stage is all yours, Archbishop.
Fiji , a land of big swinging dicks and divas who have more power and position in Fijian society than they earned or deserve .
Shameful and shameless.
Serial offenders who just keep making mea culpas left right and centre .
Next .
I am not so sure about “big swinging….”. The RFMF and British army are full of itaukei men who have slotted in pieces of marbles in their swings just to feel adequate.
The concern was raised by medical doctors checking them out at recruitment so fully validated information. Must be result of all the porn watching and drug taking.
One can check further details with a former minister who has seen it all.
Politics the world over seems to attract these types of personalities , so why Fiji would be any different to any other countries would be remarkable .
Politicians who diligently get on with the job and are focused on serving the community are a standout . The whole world is in need of good political leadership .
The true character of the man will be on display if he appoints Radrodro as a DPM to replace Blinky Bill.
Just to be in office he will appoint a wife basher who almost killed his wife, who is none other than the PM’s daughter.
That will be the true character of the man. All forgiven and forgotten as long as they can kaila at the expense of the daughter.
But then there are stories about the daughter and the man himself. So it is a very twisted web.
PaP no longer lacks the moral compass necessary to make the right decisions. It mirrors the moral compass of its leader and that of the government itself. There is no national interests – period.
Let’s consider what is openly available to read on various platforms:
1. She is divorced from 2016
2. Then posts picture with her husband who she has divorced
3. Then she made the video for her husband – private and personal use
4. Allegedly made the video with a Fijian soldier
My view she made an instructional video for her ex husband to demonstrate why they divorced perhaps
Overall, we should stop wasting our time because the people of Fiji got the government they voted for , a 3 legged dysfunctional coalition- now becoming even more problematic with the inclusion on the G9
LT will survive because SLR, PAP don’t want her pissing in.
She on the other hand will work on strengthening her position (no pun intended here) and eventually pursue he dream to be the PM of Fiji – and she may even make it
So that’s Fiji, for Fiji ever Fiji
It goes to show that the People’s Alliance Party (PAP) and its leadership are feeling insecure and afraid of losing the general election in 2026.
There was hesitation in sacking Lynda after Melbourne saga despite the fact that the party management found her guilty and sacked her as deputy leader.
Retaining her as Minister of a portfolio was hardly suited to her character and competence. Rabuka’s decision reflected his worry and fear of losing the 2026 election.
Now again, although Rabuka has removed Lynda from the ministership, he must be thinking about the consequences of the next election if the PAP management board recommends her sacking from the party.
Rabuka and some others in his Party must be taking Lynda as indispensable to the party. But he should understand the phrase that ” no one is indispensible.”
If Rabuka decides to retain her as MP, there will still be division in his party . Either way, he has no escape having a split in the party. It will still be better for him to take the correct decision to sack her from the party as she has become a nuisance, not just to the party but to the youths and adults.
However, we must not forget PAP’s only objective is to govern at any cost, not to serve the people of Fiji.
I recall the AG in the former government saying that Fiji was on par, if not better, than Australia.
Now we have the current Minister for Health saying that the dire situation our hospitals are in, “is nothing new”.
To all those who are suffering from medical conditions, all voters, and especially to the clowns of the current government, just consider what is happening in this administration now;
1. The ministers, including Lynda Tabuya who has no problem having her nakedness exposed, gifted themselves $8 million dollars a year in pay increases. Imagine now what that could have done to retain medical professionals, work on urgently needed infrastructure, and source urgently needed medical supplies.
2. The medical institutions are reusing “one use only” equipment due to shortages. This means that there is a very high risk of infection and transmission of diseases. This is a very serious problem that any medical institution worth it’s salt would eliminate immediately.
3. Patients are being carried up the stairs by medical staff due to inoperable elevators. Imagine the high risk levels of injuries to both patient and staff carrying out this dangerous procedure.
4. Rabuka and his Coalition team have no desire to fix any of these critical issues. The only items that they think is of great importance are:
A. Reviewing and changing the Constitution.
B. This corrupt coalition is more focussed on Finding a way to keep the porn-making MP, Lynda Tabuya, in parliament. This is so that they can use her to get the votes that PAP need come the 2026 elections.
C.Rabuka is concentrating on his province in Vanua Levu making sure that valuable aid money is going there instead of going towards addressing the crisis that the health department is currently facing.
D. Rabuka has no genuine interest or care for the strugglers on struggle street who have to put up with a very deplorable medical system. All he’s focused on is keeping his corrupt politicians in power.
E. The proof is clear for everyone to see. He has 36 ministers in his government for which you, the tax payer , is going to have find the money for their salaries. Any wonder why our hospitals are in such a deplorable state? They are taking all the money for themselves.
This is the leadership that Fiji is burdened with now.
The provisions of basic amenities, and the uphold of law and order are proofs of a properly functioning democracy.
Rabuka and his government have failed the citizens of Fiji in this. They must be replaced.
After those cheapo B grade videos, her Report Card as an MP now shows that she’s been demoted further from Queen of Tarts to Queen of Farts 🤣😂😂 My neighbour, Raju, prefers Queen of Tarti 💩 with a rolling ‘r’ 😂
Should we start speculation about how many seats will be won by which parties? Or is it too early since there could be more parties contesting the 2026 elections and also the PAP may have embarrassed itself further and lose support?
