We know that Lynda Tabuya is licentious, arrogant, manipulative and vindictive, as evidenced by her conduct towards a Fiji Sun journalist on Friday, who she attacked because the Sun refuses to join the Fiji Times in turning a blind eye to her outrageous conduct and the sex and drug scandal that now poses a genuine threat to the Coalition.
Grubsheet has been at the receiving end of Tabuya’s wrath by being removed from Facebook on a complaint by her, referred to the Fiji Police and ordered by Australia’s eSafety Commission to remove “intimate” images of the Minister for Bonking and Weed not because they are fake but because we didn’t have her consent to use them.
All this, of course, was before the People’s Alliance accepted that the allegations against her were true and she was removed as the party’s deputy leader. Lynda Tabuya has nowhere to go. She had sex with her fellow minister, Aseri Radrodro, in Room 233 of the Windsor Hotel in Melbourne while Radrodro’s wife, Sainiana, slept in a room nearby. She took drugs and drank Jack Daniels whiskey and complained the following day that the sex with Aseri was so “brutal” that she had trouble walking.
All this is now established fact. Indeed Lynda Tabuya has given up denying it. But she still thinks that she is entitled to remain as Minister for Women, Children and Social Protection and has got Shamima Ali of the Fiji Women’s Crisis Centre to join her in a preposterous campaign to cast the accusations against her as an attack on women when it is really about appropriate conduct on the part of a cabinet minister irrespective of gender.
The People’s Alliance has been entitled to strip her of her position as deputy leader of the Party. But the PAP says it is the Prime Minister’s call whether the findings of fact by its disciplinary committee warrant Lynda’s Tabuya’s removal as a minister. In any other democracy, Sitiveni Rabuka would have moved by now.
The facts themselves are one thing. But what genuinely makes Tabuya’s position untenable is that she lied to the Prime Minister last September about what happened in Melbourne and he lied to the country. So his own position is untenable unless he dismisses her because misleading the people who elected you to set a standard is a grave offence for any national leader.
So why is he stalling? Grubsheet has been told something genuinely shocking that takes this whole sorry episode to a new level of gravity. Because it appears that Lynda Tabuya has threatened to bring down the entire government if Sitiveni Rabuka removes her.
According to a senior source, Lynda Tabuya had a conversation with the Prime Minister in which she intimated that she would not hesitate to threaten his own position and that of the entire Coalition if he moved against her. Her precise words are said to have been. “I am close to Aseri. And I am becoming closer”.
Sitiveni Rabuka is said to have taken this to mean that as parliament gathers tomorrow for its first session of the new term, Lynda Tabuya is willing to join forces with her sex partner in SODELPA to launch a motion of no-confidence in the Prime Minister, cross the floor and bring down the government. Yes, Fiji, this is what is appears to have come to – a minister who should have been sacked as soon as the PAP disciplinary committee reported its findings is blackmailing the Prime Minister.
It is for Sitiveni Rabuka to confirm the veracity of this report from an impeccable Grubsheet source close to the top who has never been wrong before. That he is baulking at dismissing Lynda Tabuya because his numbers on the floor of the house are so precarious that if he were to act, she and her lover would join forces to bring him down and hand power to the FijiFirst opposition. Yes, Fiji, I had to scrape myself off the floor when I heard this too.
One thing is certain. The cancer that the Prime Minister has already allowed to take hold in the government by turning a blind eye to blatant misconduct is spreading. At first, it was about Lynda Tabuya’s sex and drug scandal and the way that it is damaging public confidence in the Coalition. Then it has become about the Prime Minister’s refusal to accept that when he misled the nation on the basis of Lynda Tabuya’s lies, the cancer has also infected him. And now it is spreading to the entire government – one minister with the power to remove the Coalition and bring an end to this whole sorry farce.
Parliament meets tomorrow. So we don’t have long to wait. But the real tragedy is that the Prime Minister’s Coalition partners – Biman Prasad and “Blinky Bill” Gavoka – have no interest in pressing him to do the right thing. They too are desperate to remain in power. And live in fear of a fresh election because they know that they are unlikely to again meet the five per cent threshold to get any seats at all. So it has become a Coalition conspiring against the national interest by turning a blind eye to blatant misconduct.
POSTSCRIPT: Why did Lynda Tabuya deliver her video message for International Women’s Day purely in iTaukei?
Is she attempting to go over the heads of everyone to appeal directly to her 11,000 odd voters? It sure looks that way. Because she is clearly the Minister for ALL Fijians and is patently not behaving that way.
Does she regard herself as purely the Minister for iTaukei Women and Children and her Assistant Minister – the “vulagi”, Sashi Kiran – is meant to take care of the rest? Another nail to add to the multiple nails in Tabuya’s coffin.
Paul says
She, Lynda, is a complete disgrace. She should be removed immediately!
Thank you Grubsheet.

Is that how desperately she’d grasp on for power ? Fiji First won’t take her.
She’s trash. Pls remove the trash from Govt.
Jack Daniel says
This is just a ploy not to remove her. She is mistress of Rabuka and he doesn’t have balls to remove her. There is no blackmail thing.. Just a cover up by PM To save Lynda’s political career. Both have an adulterous past. Like they say, birds of same feathers flock together.. This is the change people wanted where there is no respect for rules, processes, code of conduct and law and order in this current imbecile coalition govt..

Finally showing her true colors. On IWD, she gave a national address in the Fijian language, castigating women of other ethnicities. Given the theme for this IWD was inspiring inclusion, it’s completely contemptuous of the Minister for Weed and Bonking to leave out women who don’t speak Fijian. Waiting for Shamima to say something about the exclusion of her and women like her from Lynda’s speech. The racists in government no longer hide.
Dejected says
And the two cowards running the Facebook group for Rabuka’s inept government, one who can barely spell, and the other who seem to be reading us a bedtime story every night on her television bulletins have limited comments on the post too!
Two parasites who need to begone with Rabuka when he is booted out!
Just ridiculous says
There is nothing better than a racist, arrogant, righteous, lying, misleading, Israel-loving and God-fearing government full of crackpots to implode from within. I hope it happens and I hope it will be a lesson for the future. I hope our “churen” will learn from this.
Wounded Nation says
The much acclaimed “power of one vote” is now biting him and them left, right and centre. Foregone conclusion when Lyndagate dragged on was one of political survival, paisa, perks, parade etc. Sheer selfishness on full display in place of selflessness, integrity, visionary leadership, role modeling to our youth and the list goes on, while national interest is firmly buried in the trash can. Liars of the highest order then. We certainly didn’t vote for that and can imagine the contents of petitions during worship today.
And BTW, the numbers game in Parliament this week mostly likely barred the Honorable Assistant Minister for Women & Needs from replacing the Dishonorable Minister for Women & Weeds at that show in NYC.
One kerekere to the Opposition then, please don’t turn Parliament into a circus. Play your part well in the interest of our beloved but broke and wounded nation.
Sad Observer Scared for Fiji says
Rabuka’s gone either way. Just a matter or time. He does have the choice to leave with a tiny skerric of integrity by removing her, or absolutely none by keeping up the farce. The saddest part of this epic tragedy is that the itaukei have been in waiting to show Fiji better governance for 16 years. But what they have served up to the people of Fiji has set them and Fiji back decades. They have let down the very itaukei they were wanting to uplift, and have in all likelihood ensured it will be many decades, if at all, that the people of Fiji would trust a predominantly itaukei government again. Just sad.
Concerned says
Wow. If true, can we afford this level of ruckus in Government ? Always figured she had a loose screw somewhere and wasn’t mentally fit to lead. User, abuser, druggie, sex maniac and deviant. Pride comes before the fall. A sad, terribly wicked women on the inside. Veiled with the fake demeanor and over exerted “look at me” arrogance. Dark days ahead if she isn’t expelled from Government.Do the needful Mr Rabuka.
SLR vs Frank leadership style says
SLR is a weak leader. Time and again during his tenure in the last 14 months we have seen him showing serious signs of being a weak leader, list can go on but to highlight a few he talked on mini budget yet Biman bulldozed him on it, he talked on 15% vat being high prior to budget announced yet Biman announced 15% vat for this financial year, SLR announced cabinet reshuffle yet this was turned in just 2 weeks, now this Lynda bonking & Drug saga to which has brought a total disgrace to the current government and Fiji as a nation yet we all know he wouldn’t be able to dismiss her coz had he been a strong leader he would have done this already back in September 2023. We all know what Frank would have done by now, Lynda wouldn’t have even remained a MP let’s forget about her being a minister. Ashneel Sudhakar & Mereseni Rakuita are 2 good examples of Frank’s Leadership. Fijians are watching in silence and this will surely be remembered come 2026.
Ashamed says
Her lover boy Aseri hides himself well! You think he will allow a change in Govt? We know not !! He is Rabuka’s supporter despite what everyone wants to think ! In his quiet circles He warns Sodelpa any suggestion to change Rabuka as PM and Sodelpa should pull out of the Coalition! You know why Aseri will always stand with Rabuka? Because His kids live with Rabuka and Aseri knows if Rabuka is no longer PM, their family goes back to destitution and poverty.
Aseri, Lynda and Rabuka are one and the same person ! Crooked, lacking substance and all about their own survival !
Someone should encourage Rob Seaman and Sainiana to meet . We want to read some new drama. This old Bonking and weed one is getting so f**ken boring because the assholes involved are useless narcissists anyway .
Meanwhile tomorrow shall be interesting GD as we watch any possibility of a vote of no confidence being moved .
Licentious Lynda says
The licentious trio (Rambo, his beloved LT and barbaric Aseri) will naturally be supported by the likes of them: narcissist Shamima & gang.
These “fake” LT leaders (includ. those before them who’ve dared to grace Fiji’s august house as if its their entitlement), have pathetically set the bar SO DAMNED LOW.. and expect everyone to follow their lead. Yuck!
Thankfully, the people of Fiji clearly see the naked emperors and empresses for the trash that they really are.. Please do yourselves a favour and daily recite these words to your compromised selves: “Money can never buy me class”.. B)
#whitewashedrottentombs
Fiji Watcher says
The irony is that if she thinks that FijiFirst will save her and Aseri Radrodro if they crossed the floor she is dreaming!
Whilst the current PM is spineless, his predecessor would have sacked them both on the spot and ensured they were no longer members of parliament and replacing them with the next candidate of each party.
If they were to cross the floor they would ensure their political death. The Constitution is very specific about party members voting or abstaining from voting contrary to the party direction. I would find it unbelievable that either party would allow either of these two to “cross the floor” and vote with the opposition.
Just Ridiculous says
I think it is time for Biman Prasad to shower the government with the blessings he brought back from the unfinished Ram Temple in Ayodhya recently. He went using tax payers money so it is about time he showered the blessings on his government – unless of course it was a private visit and there was no personal and religious prejudice for the visit using tax payers money.
Moreover, with the Pilgrimage of Hypocrisy to the Feast of the Tabanacles last year, those who participated with so much exuberance should now shower the government with the blessings from the Holy Land.
Further, the love for Israel and the fear of God should help this government. You never know, the resident “Moses” could perform some miracles. I and others have been waiting for the equivalent of the “Red Sea in Fiji” to be opened so that the local Israeliltes in Fiji can be saved.
Even further, the transformative study tour by the delegation of the GCC to China last year should have opened the eyes of these people who are full of wisdom and they should assist in saving the government. I am sure they are fully behind “Moses” when he does open the Red Sea in Fiji.
Call her bluff PM - Imposter in Cabinet says
Hmm, nearly choked on my ulavi in miti Sunday lunch lol. Obviously, an empty threat from an empty vessel. Sometimes they will deliberately leak false information to damage your credibility GD. Be careful.
She’s not smart. The PAP voters that didn’t vote for her and other Fijians that believe she needs to be sacked for breaching Fiji’s parliamentary Code of Conduct would tear her to shreds.
PAP got a total of 168,581 votes in GE2022.
That’s around 157,000 PAP supporters that DIDN’T vote for her.
It would work if the illegal weed use and immoral bonking rumours on a government trip were not true.
BUT after her sacking from the Deputy Party leadership, that’s just confirmation of what the non- gullible Fijian voters already know.
Yes folks, not AI generated images and text messages ( someone joked, AI stands for Aseri and I, ouch!) AI can’t speak Fijian eh? Or understands ‘Naita’ or whatever. Se vacava Tau. Sobo. But you can’t blame Rabuka, the committee, Mrs Radrodro or the party. Only yourself. Accept it and resign.
Big fail. Even her friends and naive supporters are beginning to doubt. I know some have unfollowed her useless, shallow daily FB posts. No substance. Just using rugby and other women, etc to get likes, the oohs and aahs. That’s not what we pay you for.
Just resign while you still have the chance for a more decent exit.
And even if that’s true, as PM who should put party and national interests above a tainted, scandalous and manipulative MP who slept her way up the ladder, Rabuka should remove her TODAY.
Get the next PAP candidate in line ready to join Cabinet in a special forum before the session tomorrow.
I dare her to try.
She’s finished.
And she knows it.
Get the popcorn ready.
Leadership 401 in session.
Take several seats.
Tinai says
One thinks maybe Rabuka wasn’t as good in the sack for her too.
Ahhhhhhmmmmm just sayin y’all……
Qamar Azad says
If sacking Lynda will cost him to lose the governance of Fiji then I can understand the PM not sacking Lynda. I think it’s a bad decision in the long run. He hopes to find another way to deal with it. Either way I think this coalition is on limping legs, at best. Whether the PM sacks her or not, it will cost him.
The PM has failed to show great leadership!!!! Can’t see them winning the next election; may not last this term.
God Bless Fiji
Ashamed says
The PM knows his govt is built on one vote only ! He may very well go in tomorrow as PM and come out as Opposition leader if the vote of no confidence happens ! And guess what….he also knows he and his govt will go to jail as soon as Frank returns to power !! And all of Rabuka and advisers and beneficiaries will face the ultimate price of arrogance ! Naboro for life !
Toso Lynda…do your worst ! You have the money anyway to live a fancy life away from politics . The Coalition govt need to go away ….far away and you have the powers to do it ! …
Game Over says
@ Ashamed. If you understand the Fijian political landscape better, she won’t.
Not even with stolen money or whatever is left of it.
Wanna bet, lol
See you back here tomorrow.
Jaguar says
Rabuka must not allow Lynda to hold the Coalition to ransom. She must be expelled from Parliament if this is true (which is highly likely).
Then again, Rabuka is a weakling unlike Frank. Unfortunately for Fiji, we had given a rejected leader (1999) another shot, hoping he’d be something he never was. A strong and wise leader.
Stop the weed please says
Linda is not thick-skinned.
Her marijuana stash is helping her to disconnect with the reality on the ground. In her mind, the weed-fuelled bonking in Melbourne never happened. She has believed her own lies.
This woman needs help. Counseling maybe? Her behaviour reeks of a person with a mental disorder. Not normal. Sad.
The fact is, they’ve invested so much into her now pie in the sky ambition to become Fiji’s 1st woman PM, it’s kinda hard to just let go.
Politicians in other countries had fall-back careers. She probably doesn’t or can’t practice law after this? This is her whole life dream. But why so careless, arrogant and proud?
If our Fijian boys are getting jailed for possession, how can PM, in his good judgement, allow this circus to continue?
Cummon, do the honourable thing and resign, MP. Or be sacked for insubordination like your lover Aseri. Good thing for him, he didn’t use illegal substance like you did.
You need to exit stage left.
Please don’t disrespect the people of Fiji by appearing in parliament tomorrow after what you’ve done.
Have some self respect. Be kind to yourself. This isn’t going away.
It’s only going to get worse.
Kelerap says
She should be arrested and extradited to stand trial in Australia for drug use and drug trafficking for carrying her stash of weed with her across the border fm Fiji to Australia.
What are you waiting for Australia?
Sad Observer Scared for Fiji says
Australia would only extradite for far more serious crimes (violence or high level trafficking), and Fiji doesn’t have jurisdiction in Australia to charge her for drug possession. But I totally understand the sentiment to see LT brought to justice any way possible!
Only in Fiji a PM pardons a bonking Minister says
Sack her. End of story.
Useless Minister.
Bonking men all over the show.
Has achieved nothing except to deliver pots and spoons.
Rabuka, be very careful as this is your time of ultimate test.
Don’t for a single moment think that the opposition will welcome this woman. And that’s the difference between Bai and Rabuka. Bai will stand true to his values. Unlike spineless Rabuka who has entertained this shit since last September and now this Jezabel is holding the govt to ransom demands. No surprises.
Now you all reap what you sowed Dec 2022. Damn, not even a 18 months and you lot are crumbling already. Good change.
M Naidu says
Thank you for this article. In addition to this and the comments that have come through, the first thing all media need to be reporting is that the Tabuya sexual misconduct case is now proven. They are no longer allegations.
This fact is not being highlighted in media reporting (except Fiji Sun). It is providing the fuel for creating the smoke and mirrors Tabuya is an expert at creating.
Then these are some items we voters/taxpayers need clarity on (which media could do some work on):
1. If Prime Minister Hon. Rabuka is now saying there is a “cabinet code of conduct” (Nasokia in Fiji Sun, 29/30 March 2024), why are media not aware of it nor reported on it from the start?
2. Shouldn’t this code of conduct be a public document on the government or party website?
3. Don’t voters need to know the definitions of sexual misconduct, harassment, etc. and guidelines in this code of conduct, now that it is being used to decide a Minister’s fate?
4. “Cabinet” is made up of three political parties. A “cabinet code of conduct” is an important governance document. Why don’t all their websites have this code of conduct?
5. The bigger question: if the cabinet has a code of conduct, why should it only be activated after the results of a political party investigation come through? Clearly, it should have been activated from the start of this mess, surely it would have a simple clause saying a Minister should step down while being investigated. No?
6. Common sense says if the Hon. Rabuka waited for the PAP party process then he is making a decision on Lynda in his role as PAP Leader, not in his role as PM. The role of PAP Leader is within, not external to PAP.
7. Hon. Rabuka currently holds 3 positions: PAP Leader (within PAP), Head of the Coalition (external, which is the cabinet & backbenchers of PAP, NFP and SODELPA), and PM of Fiji. Which role is he using to handle the sexual misconduct case of Tabuya?
8. If a cabinet (joint three party document) is now the document to decide Tabuya’s fate, then PAP has no role to play. The cabinet itself (the Coalition) should have acted on this from the start because the “Cabinet Code of Conduct” should have flashed red and necessitated an action and it would have involved all three parties, not just PAP. This should have not been dependent on a PAP investigation brought about by a lone member of that party.
9. Given Hon. Rabuka is saying the “cabinet code of conduct” will be used to decide the Minister’s fate, why have NFP and SODELPA the other parties (who are members of cabinet) silent throughout this spectacle?
10. The most troubling issue is that the complaint of a single PAP member led to this investigation and unearthing of facts. Nothing would have been done if this individual had not lodged a formal complaint. Whoever it is, needs to be commended for their courage.
11. But far worse, why did the “cabinet code of conduct” not stir any cabinet member of the Coalition (person or party), to lodge a complaint and seek an investigation?
No matter which way Hon. Rabuka’s decision goes, these are questions whose answers will provide the political learning and growth Fiji’s children, youth and voting population need in order to mature. Such learning can only lead to improvement, if not now, then for the future.
Brutal PAP False Promises says
@MNaidu / Makes good sense. Tough questions that the impotent Fijian media haven’t really asked and applied their investigative journalism skills. Except for Fiji Sun.
2026 is only 2 years away. It will be political suicide to keep a drug addict in Cabinet who will most likely create new scandals along the way.
Why is FFP quiet? Do they also have one drug addict or two in their midst? I hope not. Show up and do your job.
Why is NFP quiet? Same-same as Tabuya? So what about the people, and the oaths you swore on to serve diligently and with the utmost integrity? Not to be served!
Where’s the parliamentary Code of Conduct. Tucked away under their sulus and dresses somewhere?
Maybe we’ll see your pathetic lot again preaching good governance before GE2026?
Fijian history will not remember this corrupt lot kindly. I see Narube’s party benefiting from this scandal and good for them. I will vote for his party in the next election if they choose self interest over national duty and good governance.
Will make interesting case studies to teach our children in schools and universities.
PM, you still have the chance to do the right thing for the people of Fiji.
Leave us something good to remember you by. What are you still waiting for?
Maumau Dina your military background and lessons learned in post 1987 to guide you. Too emotional and soft.
You lack leadership skills and clout.
Prove us wrong.

In the unlikely event a vote of no confidence is passed, watch the Speaker of the House and what his take on the matter is. He is the most “independent” Speaker in the history of the Fijian Parliament. He may try and save his subject.
Please SLR do what’s right by us says
Deeply disappointed SLR could make the Fijian people wait so long and remain silent all the while. When he promised change that meant taking care of situations such as this. We want and expect a higher standard for Fiji. So much could be accomplished if decisions are made swiftly and based on the people and the rule or law.
To allow integrity, ethics and morals to slip EVEN further backwards is shocking and a betrayal.

I thought that an MP must vote with the Party or else be expelled? A group of teenage girls walk past.
The boys starts doing the whistling and calling on the girls. Wacece much.
The teenage girls ignore and giggle. Wacece lot too.
The boys: Sa sivia ga na fancy. You want us to jump your face. Be brutal little bit.
One yelled: oi me can’t walk properly tomorrow.
I sat there listening and thinking what have we come to. Young boys abusing girls openly and playing Lynda’s drama. No shame. But what is the real shame here…Lynda and Aseri. Both still in Cabinet.
Lynda, this is the legacy you leave behind. Now the boys can harass young women using your words. Such is your leadership Lynda.
Get your a%s out of Parliament now.

Ethical-diligent-decisive leadership says
Any workplace has to abide by professional code of conduct, ethics and moral behavior. Fiji has always been always recognised and applauded widely for discipline, respect and its special culture – the kindness, caring and vuvale attitude giving everyone a special lift as a nation. The recent developments seem to be quite deviant to who we are. Some decisive leadership is urgently needed to arrest the current situation and put our country on the map for the right reasons. Political expediency will fast erode our moral compass. Besides this will deflect attention to mask anything good the government is doing. So, leaders, our humble request is to eradicate the cancer that can potentially cause irreparable damage for generations to come. We need your firm leadership and we need it now! We all know where an unfettered ‘b*j*r*’ state of affairs can take a State!
We’ll keep praying and hoping that our moral compass and our beloved country do not fail. May God always Bless Fiji!
The Govt has to get on with the business of leadership and governance and get the country moving towards progress and prosperity. We need leadership in health, education and economy at least and something to show for. This will galvanise hope and people but we cannot see anything strategic yet from our leaders. They seem to be ducking the issues that confront us and playing cheap politics. NFP-DPM may have brought some epiphany and divine guidance from his recent trip to find a way forward. We pray for that guidance!
Tevita Naroba says
Thanks for highlighting all the possibilities that can happen tomorrow at parliament. The motion of no confidence against the Prime Minister will not happen as both Aseri and Lynda know that choice will make them very unpopular with iTaukei voters. Lynda may be closer to Aseri and that relationship can blossom to become permanent but their connections to their people and vanua is much closer to their hearts than the 30 pieces fo silver to sell the PM.

They don’t belong in parliament.
Simple.
Where to next? says
“Cross the floor and bring down the government” and “hand power to the FijiFirst opposition”?
This potential scenario would then beg the question: Is LT (no pun intended – lol) prepared to forfeit her ministerial portfolio and be relegated – together with AR – to the backbenches of the incoming FFP government? It’d be something akin to cutting off her nose to spite her face… That I’d like to see – LOL
Ashamed says
Your answer Where to Next is this – the word if is there ! If PM does sack her front her Ministerial position, she can very well try to influence Aseri to cross the floor with her! That woman is manipulative and evil. She will simply say, I don’t get it, none of you will including you PM (Ministerial positions).
Whether Aseri listens to her or not is another story ! My bet is He won’t listen to LT! He now realizes she’s bad news and the way AR is begging his wife to not leave him is evident that He realizes in all of this, losing his wife will be the most valuable loss of his lifetime he will not be able to regain.
PM on the other hand knows this is politics and a woman scorned is more dangerous than a whole army put together ! The anger of a woman scorned can bring a government to its knees!
