True to form, the racist and illegal Acting Director of Public Prosecutions, John Rabuku, continues to appoint iTaukei to positions in the ODPP to the exclusion of those of other ethnic groups.
His latest appointments come after he specifically removed the Assistant DPP, Elizabeth Rice, on the grounds that she was “white” – an outrage that has seen the State sued by Ms Rice for unlawful dismissal on racial grounds and also defamation after the poisonous Rabuku told the media that someone with an unblemished record had “failed to meet performance standards”. A blatant falsehood.
The word from within the ODPP is of a racial reign of terror under the Acting DPP, with Indo-Fijian staff targeted and another white Assistant DPP, Andrew Jack, also removed while he was on compassionate leave in New Zealand attending to his ill wife.
Yet there’s a supreme irony in the fact that all the new appointments will still have to work to a “white” man – the sole remaining non-iTaukei ADPP – Englishman Lee Burney.
Yes, the new white man’s burden in post-colonial Fiji is to see your white boss, Christopher Pryde, suspended, a replacement installed in the form of John Rabuku whose appointment contravenes the Constitution because he was found guilty of professional misconduct, to witness the purge of your immediate colleagues on racial grounds and still have to hand-hold these new iTaukei appointments because they can’t actually do the job to the required standard without you.
Sitiveni Rabuka, the Prime Minister, assured the Fiji Law Society back in December that John Rabuku’s unlawful appointment as Acting DPP would be reversed. What has happened? Absolutely nothing. And the Coalition government continues to defy the Constitution by refusing to convene a Tribunal to hear the case against Christopher Pryde ten months after he was suspended for being photographed at a Japanese embassy function talking to Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum.
It’s OK for John Rabuku to be photographed talking to the notorious Justin Ho after he was charged with alleged drug offences but not for his white predecessor to be seen talking to the former Attorney General before he was charged with anything.
Welcome to the new Fiji – the Zimbabwe of the South Seas – with a racist government and a criminal justice system whose integrity is being violated. Yes, raped by the Coalition government which promised change for the better yet has delivered a racist hellhole in which appointments are made not on merit but ethnicity.
A GRUBSHEET INFORMANT WRITES:
“The new ADPP appointed to replace the white one is surprise, surprise an iTaukei , ignoring a highly talented and promising Rotuman lawyer with several years prosecution experience. Yes, even Rotumans are now being discriminated against”.
While Elizabeth Rice , the most successful prosecutor in the DPP, was sacked for being white, the current illegal incumbent has decided that all iTaukei staff previously dismissed by the legal DPP, Christopher Pryde, because of incompetence and not doing their job, should be reinstated. The same has not been done for Indo-Fijian former employees.
When reviewing Elizabeth Rice’s case load – and she had numerous important appeal court cases – this was considered by Mr Rabuku to be insufficient and yet iTaukei staff have not had the same criteria applied to them, including those he has reinstated after being dismissed for underperformance.
Under Mr Rabuku, white senior managers have been excluded from senior management meetings. He refused to hand them any new cases , so the claim they were underperforming is due to a deliberate attempt by Mr Rabuka to deny them work despite being legally appointed civil servants of The Fijian government”.

Those who can must leave Fiji no matter which race you are. Fiji has gone to the clowns….and the circus is just starting.
The common Fijians will pay a huge price for this government’s policies.
If there’s one mistake I will regret forever is that I voted for Biman the traitor.

Coalition government has diabetes and soon their policies and racist ways will amputate them for good

Fiji is going down. Investor confidence dropping. Some Americans in Taveuni starting to sell up land and heading back. Citizens leaving by the thousands.
“Change” is here indeed ????

When you start promoting people based on their race and not merit, you know you are never going to achieve anything worth being proud of.
It’s sad. Maybe those guys promoted deserved recognition but now it’ll be known as handouts. And when the tables turn in the future, where will that leave the 3?
No one wins when politics gets in the way of good work.

What has happened to the Fiji Law Society? Has Richard Naidu gotten into Wylie’s ears? Have Biman and Richard no shame left? Indo-Fijians being sidelined in appointments within judiciary and various ministries and Biman, now known as Baiman by IndoFijians, visits overseas on taxpayer dollars. Jai Ram Reddy and the founders of NFP must be rolling in graves.

Vinakavakalevu for highlighting these racist appointments Davis, I hope the PM and AG take note to correct these appointments
We need a racial balance team in the DPP Office.

An alarmingly brutal statistic is circulating within confidential circles in Suva. It’s rumoured that some 3,000 Indo-Fijians migrated last Dec alone. Helpful if this can be verified. And if true, wow, then that’s 100 per day! Vinaka vakalevu to the Turaga at Suvavou House, and to the Rabuku whose name is super appropriate based on what it means in the Western side dialects.

I don’t know why people are surprised by what the jokers in Coalition are doing.
If people think that Rabuka doesn’t know what’s going on, then they are sadly mistaken. Perhaps Bainimarama was spot on when he called Rabuka a snake and no amount of shedding skin will change that fact. Rabuka is finishing off what he started in 1987. Siromi, Temo, Rabuku, Lynda, Vosarogo and co are all putting into action Rabuka’s plan to “ethnically cleanse” the system.
And why are we making a big deal about the removal of Rice and Pryde when the “ethnic cleansing” process started from Day 1 when these thugs came into power. Fijian Indians were being removed and terminated, but this wasn’t such a big deal then. Are we playing the race card because now the focus is on expatriates with different skin tones?
Baiman and Richard “I have the means” Naidu are cowards who are busy milking the country. Baiman is also quite busy with his “extra curricular” activities whilst Naidu is counting his $$$ from Fiji Water.
From drugs, sex scandals, abuse of tax payers funds, breach of a child’s right to privacy by Lynda, fly now pay later scam, corruption, to nepotism, favoritism, questionable appointments, lack of accountability and transparency, and the list goes on and on and on.
It’s a shame what’s happening but hey, this is what some of you voted for.
Wouldn’t it have been better to go with “better the devil you know”. At least under FFP there was a sense of belonging to this country. Now, its all being taken away from us.

Perhaps you should also look into the affairs of Seremaia Waqainabete at legal aid. This guy is Aseri’s brother in law and is surprisingly quite close to Lynda as well. Need we say more. Appointments without merit (appointment of a specially close female senior HR person without merit), award of contracts and jobs to certain vendors, appointment of relatives and those with links to Siromi, Ropate, and co. Apparently Seremaia is a frequent visitor to Suvavou house to meet Siromi and is given clear instructions what needs to be done. Political interference and where is the independence?
Questions: why did legal aid represent and take on the case of Takiveikata and file a discontinuance on his behalf? How does Takiveikata qualify for legal aid? Who instructed Seremaia to represent Takiveikata? Why were tax payers funds used on a convicted criminal who is now out and has the means to pay for a private lawyer?
This is just the tip of the ice berg.

Racial appointments and discrimination is happening at all levels, including both private and public sector. It’s the tone set by the Coalition Government.
Nepotism and corruption is visible everywhere you turn. Coalition Government is set out with a vendetta to destroy whatever good Fiji used to be.
The military is sleeping or has it’s priorities wrong because our Constitution is dead in the water, used to justify actions when needed otherwise disregarded.
Media in Fiji should be ashamed of themselves, they should stand for truth and facts. Right now, they are PR strategists for stupid people who call themselves leaders of Fiji!
People who voted for these nincompoops deserve what’s happening to them.
