The bigger the lie, the more believable was the advice the Nazi propagandist, Joseph Goebbels, gave to Adolf Hitler in World War Two. And someone has evidently been giving the same advice to the Queen of Tarts, Lynda Tabuya, as she fights to salvage her shredded reputation after her “brutal” rogering by her fellow minister, Aseri Radrodro, in Room 233 of Melbourne’s Windsor Hotel last August.
Nine months after the gruesome details surfaced, Lynda Tabuya has made her first public comment on what happened, telling a gathering in Suva yesterday that it didn’t happen. Well not exactly saying it didn’t happen because she can’t. But addressing the scandal in a manner that has cast enough doubt on it to prompt the Fiji Sun to report it as a denial even if that denial isn’t in the body of its story, where there is still sufficient ambiguity to protect Lynda the lawyer in a legal sense. ( As in “well I didn’t actually say it isn’t true, Your Honour”).
Grubsheet is extremely chuffed that Lynda told anyone who hasn’t yet visited these columns that she has been labelled the “Minister for Bonking and Weed” by “social media influencers”. That’s me folks! It’s just one of the appellations we have given her that also include the “Great Temptress” and our latest, the “Queen of Tarts”. Because let’s get one thing straight.
The Minister for Bonking Weed can get up in front of a credulous audience as much as she likes and “deny” what happened between her and Aseri Radrodro but it is the TRUTH. That’s right. It really, truly, ruly happened. And there’s no need to take the word of Grubsheet or Victor Lal over at Fijileaks who both covered the story for months when the Fijian mainstream media wouldn’t touch it. The TRUTH has been established by Lynda Tabuya’s own party.
A disciplinary committee of the People’s Alliance found after a thorough investigation of the evidence that the allegations of a sexual tryst between Lynda Tabuya and Aseri Radrodro were proven. They reported those conclusions to the Executive Committee of the PAP and Lynda Tabuya was stripped of the deputy leadership of the Party. Sacked. Established, inarguable fact.
That the Prime Minister subsequently declined to accept those conclusions and kept a lying adulteress and drug user on as Minister for Women, Children and Social Protection, doesn’t alter that fact. It is neither here nor there. The People’s Alliance found her guilty and removed her as deputy leader.
Nothing has changed to alter that finding. As the old saying goes, Lynda is as guilty as sin. So why is she still pushing back? Because she has to live the lie that it didn’t happen to stay in politics and in a radically altered political landscape. Why did she finally go public yesterday? Because with the imminent collapse of FijiFirst, the Prime Minister is now talking about a government of national unity with FijiFirst MPs who will soon be independents. And that means a spill of cabinet positions and a fresh ministerial reshuffle.
What would you do if you were in Sitiveni Rabuka’s position? Lynda Tabuya’s scandalous conduct in Melbourne hasn’t gone away. In fact there is renewed attention on what happened simply because the story has gone beyond Grubsheet and Fijileaks and is now a staple of the Fijian mainstream media. So much so that the Fiji Sun has already dubbed Lynda Tabuya a “straight-faced liar”. (see below)
She is a dead weight on the People’s Alliance. As well as being the “Minister for Bonking and Weed” and “Queen of Tarts”, there is now fresh attention being given to her lurid financial history as undoubtedly the biggest personal debtor in Fijian history. Lynda Tabuya and her husband, Rob, left the United States leaving behind a total of $F113-million owing to creditors of their failed weight reduction business. Whatever the quality of your wardrobe, that is not an attractive qualification for high office. So coupled with the sex and drug scandal that now haunts her at every turn, Lynda Tabuya is a political liability going into a fresh election. And the hardheads of the party know that she has to be cut loose.
That’s the context of the big lie she told yesterday. She is fighting like a scalded cat to save her political career and especially with a Prime Minister now eyeing up which of the FijiFirst MPs he might be able to recruit into a government of national unity, including individuals who have already been successful ministers and aren’t carrying Lynda Tabuya’s political baggage.
Yet even leaving aside the sudden change in the political wind, let’s just remind ourselves of the FACTS that have already been established. They include the FACT that Lynda Tabuya made a formal complaint to Australia’s eSafety Commission that she had not given Grubsheet permission to publish the leaked photographs that she sent Aseri Radrodro from Room 233. Not that they were fakes, that is wasn’t her, but that I didn’t have her permission to use them. ERGO. They are of her, they are authentic and the “brutal” sex session happened. And no amount of spin is going to alter that FACT.
As we’ve reported before, the eSafety Commission ordered Grubsheet to remove the explicit photos but not the texts that accompanied them. Now read what the Fiji Sun quotes Lynda Tabuya as having said yesterday and then read those texts that remain on the public record. And then make up your own minds, Fiji.
That’s the “denial”. Now some of the evidence – in no particular order – that prompted the People’s Alliance to sack her as deputy leader of the PAP.
.
What the Fiji Sun has reported before:
The renewed threat to Lynda Tabuya’s ministerial position – the “very real possibility”, in the words of the Prime Minister, of a government of national unity, with a fresh injection of former FijiFirst talent.
All of the above says
I believe every word that she says!!! Afterall she was put there by God and she is the praying and fasting type when it suits. She is such a pillar of society and a role model for all the girls and women.
What I do not understand is why would anyone would want to bonk her, they must have been blind or they must have been very drunk and high at the time…..or all of the above.
But, what the f*ck has she done in her role in the past 18months. That, no one seems to have asked.

Lynda Tabuya is one useless Minister sucking so much oxygen that no one takes her seriously. The sooner she is gone the better the oxygen flow will be in Fiji.

This where one lie will take many other lies to cover the original lie! Queen of Tarts is a good friend with Selina Kuruleca. The booking must run in MOE! Like Minister like his PS! Recently Selina’s long time side dick George Peters died suddenly of an unknown illness! Guess what! Selina takes her staff and the resources available to her as Sch Manager to the funeral place like she was his legitimate wife and used these MOE resources . QVS truck for example was there all throughout the funeral! Easy to check and verify by looking at the drivers driving sheet! And interviewing people present at the funeral! Even the Grammar Reunion her escort was the late George Peter’s son! Notice she’s still appearing in black as if she’s a mourning widow!? Come on Luke R! Your son’s cousin in law Selina is as bad as her Minister! Levu ga na lasa I tuba ! Laucaqe tiko vakatauatauvata na koli mudrau !
Fiji's Scandalous MPs says
It’s not surprising that given enough time, Fiji’s infamous MP and family-wrecker, would try her hand at outrightly denying her weed & bonking sexapades, publicly.
Should the ka-kila, con-artist MP convince the gullibles, it’s likely she would next sell the US$50million scam (that she and her husband escaped from) as fake news. Pathological liar..
For as long as she’s under the patronage of her Kama Sutra PM, she’ll persist in vain trying to reinvent herself. Alas for them, the wise see naked emperors for what they are…
Agree with Rajiv Sharma that the sooner the likes of these disastrous, corrupt, pretentious leaders disappear from our national leadership, the better off we are as a country.
