# COMING SOON. THE SECRET COALITION PLAN TO CANCEL THE 2026 ELECTION

Posted on August 5, 2025 14 Comments

Grubsheet has been flooded with public and private messages asking me not to permanently leave the field of play in the wake of the scandalous appointment of the Slut of Room 233, Lynda Tabuya, as Minister for Information.

I admit to have been overwhelmed personally by a sense of hopelessness about the lawlessness and outrageous self-interest displayed by the Coalition, which has reached its apogee with the attempt to extradite the DPP, Christopher Pryde, from New Zealand on trumped up charges of financial misconduct. But I clearly have unfinished business to conduct on the minds of a great many of my readers and I am listening. In their interests and in the interests of our beloved Fiji.

Coming soon is a sensational account of the ultimate betrayal of all by these goons – the Coalition’s plan to cancel next year’s election and govern for three more years without another poll until 2029 under the same leadership of Sitiveni Rabuka as Prime Minister and his high chief, the “Pedophile President”, Ratu Naiqama Lalabalavu.

Stand by to be genuinely shocked at the sheer audacity of these self-entitled mongrels, who have corrupted our nation and its institutions of state and intend to keep doing so using the criminal Chief Justice, Salesi Temo, to stave off any immediate prospect of them being brought to account at the ballot box.

Wonder why they seem so arrogant and unconcerned about public opinion? Because the biggest stitch-up of all is just around the corner – something that will keep them in power whatever the rest of us think until the end of the decade.

Unless…

This is correct GD. Parliament will be dissolved on 10th October 2025. No more NFP and SODELPA. New Cabinet. Interim government led by SLR. Thanks to CJ.

Joe Schmidt’s squad was over the moon last weekend after just missing out seven days earlier. So just as it was with the Wallabies, despondency for us, your followers, after reading about your recess plans but there’s now cause for celebration after you changed course. Vinaka vakalevu, Graham, for having Fiji at heart always.

This stance is indisputable simply because Fred, Stan, Vijay et al. and their respective media company owners will continue with their skewed reporting and thus miserably fail the reading public leading up to 2026, and even beyond, till 2029 as you will reveal shortly. The PM will be 81 by then.

It is a combination of ignorance and hopelessness. Low levels of governance IQ add to the disinterest.

This allows those in power to do as they please with impunity.

The real story is the iron fist rule – when the last bastions of law and order living large in Nabua and goverment are working hand in glove to thwart the will of the electorate.

The threats of legal action by the karia baimaan neora, the harsh gestapo style police responses to even the slightest sign of open discontent, the rigged prosecution process, the rigged judiciary, the rigged “independent” commission against corruption, the rigged gcc, corrupt state house, corrupt media, selective deploment of police resources, selective justice, religious persecution as a tool to oppress, all continue to play an active role to bring us to where we are today.

The selective and rigged NGOs advocating actions and the law society serving only the elite, kith, and kin demonstrate that they aren’t exactly pillars of society, let alone in nation-building.

Add poverty, lack of basic medicine, horrendous health services, misery, and pain are compounded even more.

The pain is real when half the populace is under employed, under educated, underpaid, and undernourished.

Voter education can help if the boulders of racism and utter disinterest were not such formidable roadblocks.

It is not an exergeration to say we are doomed.

Mr GD, please continue with this site and your contributions. I cannot trust Fiji media. Not sure if they are incompetent or biased. You are our only source of accurate reporting. I am ready to contribute (monetary) to cover the cost.

As for the news of no election, I hope the last defender of the constitution, our Military will be ready to protect and safeguard everyone’s rights. I know they won’t let down the citizens of Fiji and the world.

I wouldn’t call it a coup. It is in the 2013 constitution as the role for the RFMF, to safeguard and protect. Coup was something that took place in 1987 and 2000. That was illegal takeover a legitimate government by a lawful means for sinister motives. Go and review the history what transpired after both coups. Our nation suffered. No one can deny that.

The trend in which things are happening now, with the breakdown of law and order, bribery/corruption, etc., no one will want to invest in business. Once that happens, where will the funding come from to help pay for the operation expense for the government, for funding infrastructure, and to fund social programs? You just don’t need people to run the government; you also need funding. God has gifted our Fiji with enough resources (land, water, minerals, etc.) for everyone to live a peaceful and prosperous life.

We, patriots of Fiji, regardless of ethnicity feel your hopelessness, Graham.
Courage and Grit to you, a true son of Fiji.
Let’s not let our disillusionment with the appointment of a slut as Minister for Information crush our spirits.
I’m hopeful that itaukei women understand that Lynda Tabuya, despite her money and flash looks is a kutu and kalavo and is not representative of the women of Fiji.

Of course everyone sees through her, she’s one bleeding “all that you’ve described” and seems out to prove a point… but it’s all too little and too late. You’ll see. We deserve better than being represented by this bleeding 🩸 trash.

If this is true, then this is a very very sad day for all of us.

I hope it isn’t true at all.

Up until now, i have resisted any calls to get the military involved to resolve the situation in Fiji.

I am now changing my mind.

Not surprised at all. Anything is possible under the this coalition governemnt.
What can one expect when the judiciary itself is so compromised.
Thing that worries oneself is the suffering of innocent people, irrespective of race or religion.
Rabuka will do anything, and anything, to stay in power.

GD, if it does happen, what will be the justification and obviously the trigger. So are we expecting a caretaker under the same miserable lot?

About Grubsheet

Graham Davis
Grubsheet Feejee is the blogsite of Graham Davis, an award-winning journalist turned communications consultant who was the Fijian Government’s principal communications advisor for six years from 2012 to 2018 and continued to work on Fiji’s global climate and oceans campaign up until the end of the decade.

Fiji-born to missionary parents and a dual Fijian-Australian national, Graham spent four decades in the international media before returning to Fiji to work full time in 2012. He reported from many parts of the world for the BBC, ABC, SBS, the Nine and Seven Networks and Sky News and wrote for a range of newspapers and magazines in Australia, New Zealand and Fiji.

Graham launched Grubsheet Feejee in 2011 and suspended writing for it after the Fijian election of 2014, by which time he was working at the heart of government. But the website continued to attract hits as a background resource on events in Fiji in the transition back to parliamentary democracy.

Grubsheet relaunches in 2020 at one of the most critical times in Fijian history, with the nation reeling from the Covid-19 crisis and Frank Bainimarama’s government shouldering the twin burdens of incumbency and economic disintegration.

Grubsheet’s sole agenda is the national interest; the strengthening of Fiji’s ties with the democracies; upholding equal rights for all citizens; government that is genuinely transparent and free of corruption and nepotism; and upholding Fiji’s service to the world in climate and oceans advocacy and UN Peacekeeping.
