# GRUBSHEET ANSWERS THE QUESTION THE WHOLE NATION IS ASKING

ANSWER:

Because Charlie Charters is easily the most irritating know-it-all in Fiji.

He has been detained purely on the grounds of taste.

Seriously though. Do we need any further proof that Fiji has gone completely mad under the Coalition government?

Charlie has been one of its principal cheerleaders. And if he is to be arrested, what would happen to the likes of GD or Victor Lal or anyone critical of the “New Order” if they get their hands on us?

Also a wake-up call for Richard Naidu and his cronies. Crikey!

This is worse than anything Bainimarama and Khaiyum ever did. They went for their opponents, not their supporters!

# POOR CHARLIE. A CLASSIC CASE OF OVERREACH (UPDATED THURSDAY AM)

POSTSCRIPT:

Now that we know that Charlie is being brought to Suva, will his old mate, Wylie Clarke, be assembling another posse to go up to FICAC to free him?

Will somebody be telling Lavi Rokoika that no court in Fiji will hear any charge she brings as FICAC Commissioner?

As Manoa Gadai would say:

Kemudou!

Indeed a stupid move that makes long loaf Charlie into a hero and martyr, all quite unnecessarily. Brings him and Richard ‘I have the means’ Naidu into the media limelight which these megalomaniacs love. Media bitch Naidu has already commented, trying to sound all smart and wise. Fatboy Charlie will get some international media coverage so he will be very happy with his five minutes of fame. Can’t believe FICAC is this stupid. Played right into Fatboy Charters and Bitch Richard’s hands. What an own goal.

Some might argue that it is Charlie who is stupid returning to Fiji as a citizen when among other things, he has described Justice David Ashton-Lewis as a “conman” and in doing so, has breached a provision of the Commission of Inquiries Act that carries a two year jail sentence. (see the link to my post last September 3)

Just saying. Because Lavi Rokoika can charge him with this – and rest assured that she has the power to do so – without any reference to her kai vata at the Sports Council. Think about it.

As I’ve speculated, will Charlie’s old mate, Wylie Clarke, be assembling a posse to descend on FICAC to free him? And telling Rokoika that no charge she lays will be heard by any court in Fiji?

I think not. They’ve used that playbook before and it has caused them all sorts of bother. Dear oh dear oh dear.

Naidu is asking what legal means??? Well for a start “Mr, I have the means ” granted a 7 year tax holiday to Fiji Water in his capacity as Fiscal Review Chair. So if u can rob Fiji from much needed tax revenue, why cant FICAC create a bit of a circus? You can’t be having all your fun now, can you???

Fiji has been going to sh*t but the Muppet hack aka Richard Naidu only speaks up selectively. Used to do it for the nation but now only speaks up for his own few.

  3. Fiji Media Hypocrites says

Why Fiji mainstream Media hypocrites are undermining FICAC for doing its job? FICAC has detained a person of interest for questioning and what is wrong with you Media hypocrites? Charlie Charters can provide all evidence to support his earlier media outbursts such as calling COI chair “conman”.

Vijay Narayan was quick to do multiple updates today and a video bulletin to create unnecessary hype. He also got Richard Naidu to speculate and talk on law provisions, which everyone knows. Media Association came out with a Media release by jumping the gun. Come on, Media people, you need to report on many corruption and scandals engulfing the country and let FICAC do its job on Charters.

My principal question is this: when will Temo be formally charged and brought before the courts? If former Prince Andrew has been subjected to legal scrutiny, then there should be no exception in Temo’s case, particularly in light of the findings outlined in the COI report. The principle of equality before the law must be upheld without fear or favour.

Furthermore, why has the military remained silent on this matter, given its stated role as a custodian of law and national stability in Fiji? Such silence raises serious concerns about consistency, accountability, and the impartial enforcement of justice.

The RFMF will not intervene. Kalouniwai is a chief first and foremost, secondly he is Kepa’s son, thirdly the GCC is back, so he would not want be in isolation again because Bainimarama had disbanded the chiefs and were irrelevant.

Fourthly, Kalouniwai has bought all those loyal to Bainimarama by giving them high positions or sent them overseas. So forget th RFMF being the custodians, they are now led first by a chief who will look ensure that the chiefly system stays and his clan is looked after.

Mischievous and fictitious conjecture: The crime must be that of being able to renew one’s Fijian passport in such record time…one would say a highly probable case of corruptly obtaining a renewal by getting someone inside the relevant department to facilitate this so promptly! Through nepotism or bribery. Well done FICAC.

Long Loaf Charters is the Snake’s leading chato boy, and got arrested?

That is some funny sh*t going on! FICAC woulda made a fortune selling tickets to all just to see fat chato boy’s face on arrest.

‘I have the means’ is tripping!

    Too funny.

Walei! The poor whylie Clark does it again! He went to FICAC again to save Charlie just like he went to save Malimali. Well, this time he failed miserably and returned empty handed!

This Lavi lady boss at FICAC is very strong and cannot be manipulated or intimidated. She is cool, calm and collected. She has earned the respect of so many!

Meanwhile, Chief Registrar Bainivalu might have read about Chalie’s arrest while drinking at a bar and must have been late to accompany Clark to FICAC office this evening to free Charlie!

  9. Media want Biman for Money says

    February 21, 2026 at 9:09 pm

The Mainstream Media’s bigger and only strategy at play is to get Baiman back as Minister for Finance so they can milk millions as part of 2 Budgets (mini budget, and annual 2026/2027 budget) that will be announced before election! They never extensively reported on COI findings because it implicated Biman. So, they are now playing along to get Malimali back at FICAC to quash charges against Biman. Over the last few weeks, Media has mounted a campaign against current acting Commissioner as well. Media got upset that FICAC charged Biman. And today, Charlie’s arrest had increased increased public confidence in FICAC so mainstream media wants to suppress it by creating non news worthy news!

Isa ko Fish. Loose cannon back in the day in Suva and Nadi days. Codename with our gang: HBC for highest body count.
HBC reads like a Fiji phone book in the 90s. Unionists, taxi drivers, bus drivers, ex-con, lawyers, bakers, pastors, security guard, teachers, you name it. she’s not ashamed to talk about details with her female and male friends. Bahut vakarerevaki reh!
You can end this by asking our dear friends in Berkely Crescent for a copy of sex tapes in that office. That will end this circus, once and for all.
    Over and out.

About Grubsheet

Graham Davis
Grubsheet Feejee is the blogsite of Graham Davis, an award-winning journalist turned communications consultant who was the Fijian Government’s principal communications advisor for six years from 2012 to 2018 and continued to work on Fiji’s global climate and oceans campaign up until the end of the decade.

Fiji-born to missionary parents and a dual Fijian-Australian national, Graham spent four decades in the international media before returning to Fiji to work full time in 2012. He reported from many parts of the world for the BBC, ABC, SBS, the Nine and Seven Networks and Sky News and wrote for a range of newspapers and magazines in Australia, New Zealand and Fiji.

Graham launched Grubsheet Feejee in 2011 and suspended writing for it after the Fijian election of 2014, by which time he was working at the heart of government. But the website continued to attract hits as a background resource on events in Fiji in the transition back to parliamentary democracy.

Grubsheet relaunches in 2020 at one of the most critical times in Fijian history, with the nation reeling from the Covid-19 crisis and Frank Bainimarama’s government shouldering the twin burdens of incumbency and economic disintegration.

Grubsheet’s sole agenda is the national interest; the strengthening of Fiji’s ties with the democracies; upholding equal rights for all citizens; government that is genuinely transparent and free of corruption and nepotism; and upholding Fiji’s service to the world in climate and oceans advocacy and UN Peacekeeping.
