The Prime Minister has announced a cabinet reshuffle in a desperate attempt to breathe life into his chaotic and dysfunctional government as the nation is poised to enter Election Year 2026. But it isn’t going to work. On the contrary. It just confirms that the PM has lost the plot and that he and his government are totally unfit to govern the country.
The most astonishing aspect of the announcement is that the battle against the existential threat to Fiji and the Pacific posed by climate change is now in the hands of the Coalition’s resident harlot – Lynda Tabuya.
This is a woman who the ruling Peope’s Alliance found guilty of a “sex and illicit drug scandal” after she lured a fellow minister, Aseri Radrodro, from the bed he was sharing with his wife, Sainiana, in Melbourne’s Windsor Hotel in August 2023 to have “brutal” sex with him in Room 233, where Tabuya was “high on weed” and “drunk” on Jack Daniels whiskey.
Tabuya was stripped of the deputy leadership of the PAP but incredibly, kept her portfolio of Minister for Women, Children and Social Protection. Yet that was stripped from her after she was enveloped in a second scandal – the emergence of a pornographic video she made when she was Co-Chair of the government’s Anti Pornography Task Force.
After a period wallowing on the backbench, Sitiveni Rabuka restored her to the cabinet as Minister for Information – a drug-taker, adulterer and pornographer as the government’s face to the nation and the world. Yet now she gets two additional portfolios as well – Environment and Climate Change.
It beggars belief that Fiji’s global climate campaign is now headed by a fallen woman who has broken all accepted moral and ethical conventions yet is now in charge of one of the nation’s most important priorities – to convince the world of the urgent imperative of climate action and the provision of funding to enable Fiji to withstand the climate threat.
Lynda Tabuya is to be our voice in the great forums of the world spearheading our climate crusade while shamelessly carrying the most extraordinary baggage – a drug-taking adulterer who actually made a pornographic video when she was the nation’s anti-porn czarina. And who had fled the United States before she entered politics leaving behind debts of more than $100-million Fijian dollars from a failed business venture.
She has zero credibility yet has been chosen by the equally degenerate Prime Minister to lead the climate fight on Fiji’s behalf. It is utterly perverse and proof conclusive that Sitiveni Rabuka has totally lost it. Worse, he is putting the entire nation at risk by putting the climate portfolio in the hands of a person who is least likely to be persuasive in the corridors of power because she is mired in moral turpitude and scandal that would automatically disqualify her from public office in any other country.
It is a dark day for Fiji and the final nail in the Coalition’s coffin when it comes to public credibility and trust. Because rest assured that this outrage will dog Lynda Tabuya wherever she goes in the world and dog the Coalition all the way to election day. The sniggers at Fiji’s expense will be long and loud.
It is a grave insult to the Fijian people and the wider Pacific community as a whole. Because of her scandalous conduct, Lynda Tabuya is morally unfit to lead the moral crusade for radical action by the big polluters to save our way of life. She is the worst possible role model for Pacific young people and it beggars belief that Sitiveni Rabuka would give her such a high profile and critical role.
But, of course, it tells us a great deal about the “Snake’s” own moral standards. In March 2024, the Prime Minister put his own signature to the letter to Lynda Tabuya accusing her of a “sex and illicit drug scandal” and removing her as deputy leader of PAP. (see below). Is this promotion a prelude to her being reinstated as deputy party leader?
We all know that Illicit drugs are tearing at the fabric of Fijian society and destroying the lives of many of our people. Yet here is an illicit drug user who has not only never been brought to justice yet now occupies a senior ministerial position leading the climate fight. It is beyond disgraceful. It is obscene.
Grubsheet will be having a lot more to say about this reshuffle in due course but here are some other first impressions:
1/ Someone else tinged by scandal – Ifereimi Vasu – becomes Minister for iTaukei Affairs, when he is in a private business relationship with the convicted Chinese drug dealer and gangster, Jason Zhong. How can Vasu possibly be seen to do his job without fear or favour when he and Zhong are trying to extend the scope of their agriculture business by doing deals with iTaukei land-owning units? The whole thing is preposterous.
2/The seeds of racial division in the PAP are sown by the Prime Minister’s decision to strip Charan Jeath Singh of the portfolio of Minister for Sugar. The millionaire Labasa businessman is not going to be happy to be humiliated and cast as a failure in his effort to dig the sugar industry out of the terminal decline it is facing. And the removal of a senior Indo-Fijian member of the PAP is a slap in the face not only for Singh but for any Indo-Fijian stupid enough to have put their trust in Rabuka.
3/ The Prime Minister has surrendered his portfolio as Minister for Foreign Affairs to someone with no background in foreign affairs whatsoever – Sakiasi Ditoka, the indigenous supremacist and PAP backroom operator for whom diplomacy has never been his strongest point. Ditoka also takes over Trade while Manoa Kamikamica sits on the sidelines facing serious criminal charges that won’t even begin to be heard until after his next court appearance in late March.
Ditoka is fortunate to have a competent deputy at Foreign Affairs in the form of the NFP’s Lenora Qereqeretabua but Fiji’s entire foreign and trade engagement is now headed by an amateur bereft of anything like the experience he needs to do the job properly.
4/ The latest reshuffle does nothing to formalise the role of Siromi Turaga as Attorney General, which is bound to create tension between the Prime Minister and the Acting AG and his supporters. Rabuka clearly thinks that Turaga cannot be trusted to be the government’s chief legal advisor. But refusing to confirm him in the substantive role will be another cancer eating away at the PAP’s unity and the unity of the Coalition as a whole.
All in all, an unmitigated disaster that speaks of a government in terminal decline under a Prime Minister who has clearly lost his political mojo. The ineptness and cynicism – especially of Lynda Tabuya’s appointment to the climate portfolio – is extraordinary and the government parties seem destined to pay a terrible price, especially if and when serious competition emerges in election year.
Seriously. Who in their right mind would vote for this rabble?

——————————
Siromi Turaga was clearly expecting to be confirmed as AG. It didn’t happen and he is not going to be a happy camper.

NOTE TO READERS:
For pages and pages of scandal about Lynda Tabuya, just type her name into the search engine on the right.
Anyone involved in the climate fight to date – and Grubsheet was part of Fiji’s team when we chaired COP23 – will be gobsmacked by her appointment as Climate Minister.
It is hard enough for individuals of stature to cut through the global politics of climate change but in one fell swoop, Sitiveni Rabuka has destroyed Fiji’s credibility on the world stage.

The letter in which Sitiveni Rabuka found Lynda Tabuya guilty of a “sex and illicit drug scandal” that had brought “severe and probably irreparable damage to the image and reputation of the People’s Alliance”.
21 months later – in Rabuka’s twisted mind – that scandal qualifies her to lead the climate fight.

The Prime Minister thinks the Fijian people have short memories and are stupid. But Lynda Tabuya’s scandalous conduct will not be forgotten when they pass judgment on both of them next year.

Showing off her turtles as well as her ample “bush” and butt. The notorious Minister for Bullshit, Bonking and Weed.
Coming soon to a climate gabfest near you.

It is Christmas and Santa Claus has come early for some parliamentariansđ đ°. You missed the point, Minister for climate change has been released in the world by Fiji to honey trap recalcitrant countries to take action and also donate to Fijiđ. But as has always been predicted by many readers of your articles that her time out would be short lived before the snake brings her back. After Rolex will it be Cartierâïž?
Do you honestly believe the advanced countries sitting on the opposite side of the table will not have already been briefed about her past, her absconding from the US leaving behind millions in debts, her exploits in room 233, etc etc?
Mosese Bulitavu was the most successful climate change minister Fiji has ever had, based on his success rate in getting funds from donors. After all that is what the Climate Change Ministry is really there for? Nubukalou Creek in central Suva has been at the same level for the past 150 years. Bulitavu should have been retained in the position.
Lenora should have been promoted to Foreign Minister, and Sakiasi Ditoka moved to Public Sector, CJS retained as Sugar Minister, Sashi Kiran to Health, Antonio Lalabalavu to replace Ditoka as Disaster Minister and Rural Development. Time too for Agni Deo Singh to be rested.
Sugar won’t be sweet for Charan! About time.
The reshuffle is the same garbage in new bins. However, the turtle depiction as is shown here should be the wall paper for next COP meeting and all the billboards associated with it.
The only job she has experience in, would be foreign affairs……and local ones it would seem.
Or External Affairs (Extra), Domestic Affairs
I think the turtle dove went and whined to Buka that the current portfolio didn’t allow for much travel. So he gave her an early Christmas gift. Now everyone will see her flying everywhere to collect handbags, clothes and allowances. I wonder how Charan is feeling. But the reshuffle will bring nothing new to the table.
Once the Fiji media emerge from basking in the glory of their useless awards night, they can hopefully do some real journalism, and look into the affairs (pun unintended) of Lyndaâs husbandâs construction firm, and all the government contractors he has been securing.
Surely it is on the public record and the least the Fiji media can do is get off their fat arses, and begin by simply listing all the projects and their value. Then they can start looking deeper and asking the hard questions – like how many contracts this particular firm is receiving compared to others? Is there a discrepancy? Because it certainly seems to be the case?
I am no journalist, but this is so obvious even to me, a layperson. How can the Fiji media not see it?
Thirdly, are there any conflict of interest scenarios? Again, on the face of it, this too is a possibility, given Lyndaâs cabinet position, and her access to privileged and confidential information about infrastructure development in Fiji in cabinet discussions.
We all know how ethical and honest Lynda is â NOT!
She is already using her position to gain financial advantage from the Chinese government for her political career via projects in Kadavu. In any other country that is corruption.
The question is, is she also using her position and connection with developmental partners aid agencies, and other construction firms, to further her own business interests? If the China example is anything to go by, we should be very concerned, but our media seem blissfully, ignorant.
Yet another question is whether she is sharing cabinet information with hubby to gain advantage for their business? This is very relevant given their dishonest record robbing and defrauding so many poor US citizens of no less than $100 million in total, and getting away scot free,. The question is are they doing something similar in Fiji?
The fraudulent behavior in the US indicates that Lynda is so greedy and ambitious – she even fancies herself as a future prime minister – that nothing is beyond her.
Unfortunately, it seems that our media are fat slobs too lazy to even carry out basic journalism. They are only good at organising useless awards tonight for self glorification.
Hopefully Alex Forwood is reading this and can use her contacts and sources in government to get to the bottom of this.
Alex is better than all the Fiji journalists put together.
The media are not investigating because they have been bought off by the government, and are close to Lynda, Baiman and Kamikamica, who paid them off from the national budget. Especially the ringleaders Stanley Simpson, Vijay Narayan and Fred Wesley, the self-styled big swinging dicks of the Fiji media, but in reality they are all limp dicks when it comes to investigative journalism or any form of in-depth reporting. It’s not just politics and government, the media has also gone to the dogs.
I reckon the next position for the Minister for Bonking and Weed will be deputy prime minister. Just watch this space. And she will be the next PM eventually.
And the people of Fiji are really blessed and stupid at the same time. Just like the people in this column, the people of Fiji are not a very sharp lot. They cannot see the bleeding obvious and what is staring them in the face.
Every single one of the people in government are incompetent and have always been incompetent but the people of Fiji voted for an idiot from 40 years ago….again…. and I just do not know what the f*ck is wrong with people.
Great article GD although the repercussions for wider group of supporters is going to be most felt by Charan’s removal.
Unemployed NZ-based motor mouth Nitya Reddy loses his $100k with business class travel to see his family around the world ( all those whiskey nights with Charan goes to waste), Ba Crook again NZ based womanizer Ahmed Bhamji loses his only lifetime claim to fame position as sugar growers boss,Pramesh Sharma (aka pussy grabber) loses his strong advocate for governance roles.
And FSC CEO should have known that nothing lasts forever – donât worry boys, we will not forget you and your contribution – GS and his supporters will come after you now – time for FICAC to check abuse of office, expense accounts etc, complaints coming Nitya and Bhamji, did you all think that your shit doesnât stink – Rambo checkmated you.
That Fiji Media Night can be described in one word: “Masturbatory”.
Nitya Reddy talking to THE MAGICAL MIRROR
Nitya – Mirror Mirror on the wall, whose the fairest of them all
Mirror – Idiot, are you drunk with Charan, itâs not you dumb ass
Nitya – Okay, Mirror, point noted, why charan being removed as Sugar Daddy, he is our saviour
Mirror : another idiotic question, drunken master is selling his people with and to the devil Rambo and you canât see it
Nitya : last request, do you think things will change ?
Mirror : again you idiot, let me explain simply Kalia, you wanted change and this is the reality of change so piss off back to NZ and get on the social welfare benefit again, Rambo’s fiji wonât change and neither will your look.

Refine: The trend worldwide is that most leaders of their respective countries are incompetent, corrupt, and or outright stupid and use the media to spin things in their favor. Gone are the days of ethical standards and moral conscience. Look at the buffoon running USA, the cow dung filled Modi in India, the genocidal and corrupt Satanyahu, etc.
The clowns in Fiji are no different.
What’s also interesting is the slow sidelining of ethnic Indians in Parliament. Rabuka and Co are strategically removing Indian representation. Biman is f**ked with FICAC on his ass and I couldn’t be happier for this asshole to spend some years in prison – because this MF never represented indians to begin with. Charan Jhaatu Singh has been sidelined – a drunk and useless dickhead. Indians no longer have a voice nor any foreseeable protection like they did under Bainimarama.
With the laws currently being passed in favor of indigenous rights, its a telling sign of what’s going to happen to the minorities.
The only thing funny in all of this is how the indigenous are portraying themselves as victims as if their lands and rights are being forcefully taken away. The similarity between the racist itaukei bigots like Rabuka, Siromi, Temo and others are like that of Satanyahu.
Supposedly the itaukei are God’s chosen people – yet they do UNGODLY things to fellow human beings. Makes you wonder what they preach and learn when they appear before their “God” once a week dressed in a white man’s clothes and at the same time wanting to protect their dying customs and traditions with their youth mostly in prison, taking drugs, and infecting each other with HIV. A slow but certain demise awaits these Godly people.
ChatGPT said:Here is a refined version that keeps the core argument and political critique but removes gratuitous profanity, tightens the logic, and presents the points in a clearer, more persuasive way:
Across the world, there is a growing perception that many national leaders are increasingly incompetent, corrupt, or morally bankrupt, relying heavily on media manipulation to maintain power. Ethical standards and moral accountability appear to have eroded. From the United States to India to Israel, leadership failures are evident, with figures who prioritize self-interest, nationalism, or ideology over genuine governance and human dignity.
Fiji is no exception to this broader global pattern.
What is particularly concerning is the gradual sidelining of ethnic Indian representation in Parliament. The Rabuka-led government appears to be systematically diminishing Indian political influence. Certain Indian politicians who once claimed to represent the community have either been marginalized or exposed for their own misconduct. In truth, many of them failed to meaningfully advocate for Indian interests in the first place. As a result, Indo-Fijians today find themselves without a strong political voice or the institutional protection they previously experienced under Bainimaramaâs administration.
The passage of laws framed as strengthening indigenous rights further signals an unsettling future for minorities. While the protection of indigenous culture and land is important, the selective application of power risks undermining equality and social cohesion. History shows that when legislation favors one group at the expense of others, minorities often bear the consequences.
What is striking is the persistent portrayal of indigenous communities as victims, despite their legal ownership of land and constitutionally protected rights. This narrative is frequently used to justify exclusionary or discriminatory politics. Certain nationalist leaders echo the same rhetoric seen elsewhere in the world: portraying themselves as defenders of identity while marginalizing others in the process.
There is also a troubling contradiction between religious rhetoric and lived reality. Claims of moral or divine superiority ring hollow when accompanied by social decay, systemic injustice, and the mistreatment of fellow citizens. The tension between preserving tradition and confronting modern social challengesâsuch as crime, substance abuse, and public health crisesâremains largely unaddressed.
Unless leadership begins to prioritize genuine accountability, inclusivity, and ethical governance, Fiji risks deepening divisions that will ultimately harm all communities, not just minorities.
Tabuya, like Bulitavu, will ride on the coattails of the Indo-Fijian permanent secretary for climate change. He is one of the few qualified in this coalition. Knowledgeable and an experienced negotiator, he has gained respect on the world forum.
The other two are useless clowns, only there to distract, shop, and claim victory. They are a hindrance to the PS. Give the PM a few bucks from the Chinese; their handmaiden LT calls the shots. After she received the information ministry, she prevented many people from accessing the government and Rabuka’s social media pages.
It is an embarrassment, cringe-worthy for Fiji to be represented by this well-known porn tart. Bring on a change of government, and they will all end up in prison, Rabuka included!
Is there an opposition in Fiji? Why are they not blogging, tiktoking, youtubing, facebooking comments on this.
Complete silence
What is our way out of this mess?
Good point Jone. Is there an Opposition? In Fiji?
There canât be , can there, Jone?
I donât hear of anyone âopposingâ anything. Do you Jone? Anyone protesting? Anyone boycotting? Media fearless and inquisitive? âOpposition â Parliamentary members holding the Government (if thatâs what they are calling themselves) to account? Law Society showing some balls? Army questioning? Even dogs barking? ⊠anything?
Seqa tau. Seqa na lega, Jone. All good bro. No worries, eh? Complete silence as you say.
This is Fiji. The Fiji of today. And this is the Parliamentary democracy at work my friend. Everybody singing đ” Donât worry, Be happy đ”
This Coalition Government is reaching the pinnacle of madness and disaster and is the worse thing that has happened to Fiji in the recent past. This is all due to people like us who voted for Baimaan Dogla and others who campaigned for change including GD.
We were far better off under Bainimarama.
True. But if Frank and Aiyaz hadn’t had such tin ears, they would still be there. So they are ultimately responsible for their own demise.
+Why are they not blogging, tiktoking, youtubing, and facebooking comments on this.+
Because apart from a select few, they all imbeciles, most are barely able string together a sentence to speak on government policies and issues impacting the lives of ordinary people.
The porn, weed, and bonking minister, of course, is a well-known e exemption, being a frequent and adept social media user. Perhaps she could host a few seminars for fellow MPs to demonstrate–not how to smoke weed or make porn movies, but on the nuances and effective use of social media.
Most MPs will also vote blindly in support of the hare brained baboon’s draft plagiarized referendum bill.
You could bet the house that three quarters of all MPs have not even read the stupid bill, let alone comprehend the consequences short or long term.
While the bill is in draft form, and soon to be enacted into law (and it will be made law), previously democracy bleating and dancing NGO queens, civil society, and crucially the media remain silent. Save for Dialogue Fiji.
No real concerted attempt is being made to question the contents of this half-assed and yet dangerous draft paper, no questions are being asked by media to inform and/educate the public of the pros and cons about the proposed bill and its contentious attempt to stifle freedom.of speech.
Except, of course, the usual old farts and dinosaurs bloviating about free speech accusing Dialogue Fiji of being mischievous in trying to create awareness.
One particular racist former life-long civil servant and eastern island coalition side kick talks about freedom of speech in one breath and, in the next, suggests others should shut up until the bill is presented. Funny that.
Freedom of speech for me and not for thee. Nice.
Unusual that Fiji media has not reached out to another much vaunted closet racist and distinguished coalition lackey, Dr. Zeus in an English hat, for his halting knee-jerk predictable commentary.
So far too, we’ve had the distinct honour not to hear from the long-retired former parliament administrator not only spew her slanted, vile, hatred defending any and all reported disagreeable opinions about the coalition gobs, but to also tell others to shut up for knowing less than her.
Maybe the local media coalition acolytes are still busy with self accolades and scratching each other’s asses.
