Sitiveni Rabuka has confirmed his status as a totally amoral and conniving reptile with his appointment of the whore, Lynda Tabuya, as Fiji’s MInister for Information.
It is the most cynical of appointments – to buy off Lynda Tabuya so that she remains in the People’s Alliance and doesn’t follow through with her threat to set up another political force to oppose the PAP at the next election. ( Grubsheet readers will remember that as recently as last week, Tabuya was refusing to commit to standing for the PAP.)
It also achieves another one of the Prime Minister’s objectives – to ensure that Lynda Tabuya withdraws her support for Manoa Kamikamica , who is destined to be charged by FICAC with serious criminal offences arising from the COI finding that he offered to “fix” the corruption watchdog’s investigation into a government minister, Kalaveti Ravu.
It is breathtaking in every way -a woman who is totally beyond the pale and lied about her marital status in a formal declaration to the Elections Office to avoid her multi-millionaire husband’s income being taken into account when contesting the last election. She claimed risibly to be divorced when she is still very much married to Rob Semaan – the co-owner of Pacific Building Solutions, Fiji’s largest construction company – and always has been.
The Slut of Room 233 is utterly corrupt in every possible way – sexually, morally, financially and ethically. Yet she now controls the nation’s information effort. In a long line of outrages by the Coalition government, this is surely the worst of all.
Grubsheet is going into recess to think about our future participation in Fiji. But in the meantime, we mourn the loss of all hope in the nation’s future under a government that is totally corrupt and deserves to be removed at the earliest opportunity. Democratically, of course.

Good choice,
Lot of information will be available on how body should be used.
Very experienced minister.
Well done.
Rolex Rambo needs the numbers. That’s politics for you.
Fiji’s voting public will remain apathetic and will vote for her.
Her antics in the bedroom will not affect their vote.
Ciqoma, Jiloma !
Oh yes it will. Spoken to many on the ground. She has dwindling support from her once previous rock solid core base.
A prime minister bereft of any morals and values, principles, or ethics. Don’t depend on him to follow through on the COI report or make outlaw temo accountable for his actions.
Porn Queen redeemed but not for long as the voting public should speak, unless of course the next video is released.
Manoa celebrating his 15% US tariff drop as if he did something about it. Just so that everyone knows NZ tariff has increased to 15% from 10%. Nobody negotiated anything just a slap on game being played by Orange man to run away from his domestic issues.
But Manoa don’t worry, you will get full support on yours and Fiji”s economic prowess from ANZ junior economist “ Bina pendi ke lotta”, and “please give me a Fiji govt job” , 23.2% growth predictor Kishti Sen.
For every govt minister and their deplorable cabinet, there are crooked enablers that leads to today happen repeatedly.
Who could blame you, Graham, for joining those of us suffering from learned helplessness in a deeply ingrained cultural dynamic that sees a country with so much potential being thrust blindly into oblivion by a Government spending all of their energy externalising blame, as opposed to reflecting, growing and doing the hard honest work necessary.
You are human after all. While it would be a great loss to Fiji, and many would lose hope without your input, you do deserve such peace rather than battling a helpless situation. Whether you stay or go – you deserve to be honoured. A heartfelt thank you 🙂
Mahn that censored part of the photo, only if you could remove it. hahaha.
I have strong concerns about Tanya’s politics and conduct, especially during her time as Minister for Women, Chikdren etc. I absolutely understand and share the frustration. But calling her (or any woman) derogatory names like “slut” crosses a line IMO.
Language like that doesn’t just undermine the strength of your argument, it reinforces the same sexist norms we’re trying to dismantle. Critique her policies. Expose her hypocrisy. But please don’t resort to misogynistic slurs.
We don’t need to stoop to the level of the Fijian media or government figures we criticise to make a powerful point…especially when it comes to defending the rights and dignity of women. You’re better and have more class than that, GD.
Slut: “a promiscuous women or one with multiple sexual partners”.
1/ Lynda Tabuya enticed Aseri Radrodro from the bed of his sleeping wife, Sainiana, down the corridor from her own Room 233 at the Windsor Hotel in Melbourne and they had “brutal” sex which left Lynda, by her own account, struggling to walk properly the following day. Her subsequent lies to the PAP disciplinary committee resulted in her being removed as deputy leader of the party.
2/ Lynda Tabuya – as co-chair of the govt’s anti pornography task force – made a pornographic video that she later claimed she made for her husband (though she had told the Elections Office and FICAC she was divorced). That video was reportedly filmed by her lover, an iTaukei member of the British Army. It resulted in her being dismissed as Minister for Women, Children and Social Protection.
So make no mistake. On any objective reckoning, she’s a slut.
GD
Please do not give up. You are and have been the beacon of hope for all of us who believe and hope that Fiji returns to proper multi racial, democratic rule with independent arms of government with proper governance and accountability and of course and free and fair media.
Are lot of Fijians, itaukeis (like me) included can see that the current government is worse than the previous one and needs to be removed come next election,
Please stay with us and help us make this happen.
Whether you are itauki, Indian, Rotuman, or any other race, can you honestly say that the government is working for you? No freaking way! How many ministers are needed for a population of around 750k. No wonder there are no medicines in hospitals.
Here we go!!!
Rabuka never disappoints. A PIG shall always remain a PIG. After months of diversion…she is back.
Still think Rabuka is a changed man and that these so called elite God’s chosen set of itaukei are genuinely in power to make a change and make Fiji a better place for all?
The KALAVO with turtle tattoos is back on the market. This used and damaged goods is now available for any one who is overly desperate.
Isa, I voted for Rabuka in the last election to lead Fiji into the next chapter.
What a great disappointment!
To be easily bought and manipulated by what is clearly an immoral, lying and corrupt Fijian woman politician. A conwoman with many masks. The naive stupid voters who support her are no worse. You’re the standard you ultimately walk past and vote for.
If the People’s Alliance-led govt wants to forgive and be gracious with MPs who destroy the dignity of our most august House, then don’t be selective and free all prisoners. Go the full nine yards!
You can’t play mimi with a global audience (using social media, what else did you expect?), play victim when you got caught, then cry wolf?!
E cava, dou nanuma ni keimami tamata lialia?
PAP, you’re a disgrace. We’re not voting for your party again. Imagine if 60% of your disgruntled voters simply don’t bother to go and vote in 2026.
Eimami sa ida!
Course-correct because we cannot unsee an unshaved bush swinging shamelessly to and fro when we see this woman’s face anywhere.
Dou bau oca mada, vasisila!
The ‘naive, stupid voters’ will vote for her again regardless of what she does in her personal life.
Why?
Because they are as you describe them.
It’s Fiji and it was only a matter of time before the (dis) honourable PM brought her back in power. Now it is putting a fox in charge of the hens. Let’s watch levels transparency of and free speech standards go down now.🤔. To me this looks like the PM surrounding himself with same people as per last elections.
Minister for Misinformation will now print more money
Very disappointed to hear that “Grubsheet is going into recess”. So you are not just thinking about doing it but you have already decided? PLEASE reconsider. Your voice is needed as a necessary counter to the supine media. Take a rest if you need but return please.
What a tragic spectacle of a misdirected government – led by the Prime Minister and Finance Minister who behave as if the national treasury were their personal bank account to raid at will.
The sacking of Linda Tabuya from Cabinet was nothing but a political charade meant to fool the people of Fiji. We all know why she was removed. Barely months later, she is quietly brought back into Cabinet – not because of merit or necessity, but because she poses a threat to Rabuka at the next election. Meanwhile, an Assistant Minister is elevated to full Cabinet rank, and a new MP from Rabuka’s party conveniently finds himself rewarded as Assistant Minister.
Every member of the three-party Coalition Government (except Ravu) is a minister or an assistant minister, as well as seven of the 11 defectors from the Opposition. Two Indo-Fijian MPs who crossed the floor later during the motion to amend the 2013 Constitution remain empty-handed. Their loyalty was purchased with empty promises because, in the end, Rabuka never intended to reward them. Perhaps now they will realise they were merely used – betrayed not for lack of obedience, but because of who they are.
All of this unfolds as Fiji drowns under its highest-ever debt and a staggering deficit budget of $886 million for the 2025- 2026 financial year. Crime and drugs run rampant. Hospitals and health services languish at crisis levels. So as the cost of living, infrastructure, and other critical areas are insufficiently addressed. Yet the government keeps spending without discipline, accountability, or shame.
At the same time, the Prime Minister has fallen conspicuously silent on the Commission of Inquiry report and its serious allegations. Those under investigation, or named in damning findings, remain in charge – shamelessly running the country as if nothing happened.
We need you GD. Please consider setting up another account on Facebook as well. Every Fijian needs to know the truth.
We know FB has, in fact, lowered its standards of censor on the urging of (threats) the Orange one.
The Orange one now has full control of the U.S. media, and they must report and comply at his behest. Including TV companies and online platforms like X and FB.
Extreme right wing media promoting hate and anti-semitic views. What was once not permitted now thrives in the U.S. mass media markets.
This should make it easier for GS to create a new account using several social media platforms, including but not limited to X, FB, Instagram, Reddit, Telegram, Tumblr, YouTube, and many more.
Keep your blog space, and you still could tag sites of your choosing.
Let’s go, GD! You never never know until you have a go.
Lynda Tubuya needs to be in ministerial position as she attracts massive number of votes. If she is left out, 20 percent of the PAP support base will dwindle in no time regardless of what she did, she remains popular.
Seruiratus party wont make required threshold to be in even as opposition as its now known as “liumuri” party across the populace as their trust base is gone for good.
The likely threat is Labour and Unity party coalition, but one can see Narube is double minded with Labour.
As the election nears, the “survival of the fittest” strategy is kicking in.
Narube has lived the high life for far too long. His ivory tower mentality means he is too far removed from the common man and problems faced by the masses living in poverty.
Nature has no plans, no solutions, no social policies, nothing to offer except for his occasional racist jibes and unrealistic pontificating.
Not to mention a lack of credible leadership skills and governance experience. The man has lived a millionaire’s lifestyle for too long to understand the real world.
However, no one can fake it like Narube, so there’s that.
GD during your recess time to ponder over your own contributions to the mess we are in. From one of the hand maidens of ASK and FF to an enabling force for Rambo, Baimaan and most of all Manoa to come to power during your post FF mouthpiece role into an anti FF crusader. Maybe use the recess to strategies as perhaps only you can the right words and phrases to counter this terrible Coalition Cabal and bring to power at least some semblance of a democracy with inclusive leaders. 😉
A Series of Misjudgments in Ministerial Appointments: Rabuka and Lynda Tabuya
Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka’s continued appointments of Lynda Tabuya to key cabinet positions raise serious questions about judgment, suitability, and the direction in which he wants to lead Fiji.
First, the decision to appoint Lynda Tabuya as Minister for Women, Children, and Poverty Alleviation was highly controversial. Many felt that her public image and personal conduct were at odds with the values expected of someone entrusted with the welfare of women and children. In a country where cultural, moral, and societal expectations around leadership are still strong, her appointment was seen by many as tone-deaf and even damaging.
Now, her appointment as Minister for Communications and Information raises fresh concerns. What exactly does the Prime Minister expect her to “inform” the nation about? Is this appointment meant to send a message—or confuse one? At a time when Fiji is grappling with growing social challenges like the rise in prostitution and increasing HIV infection rates, clarity and credibility in public messaging are vital. Instead, this choice raises suspicion and disillusionment.
Is the government aware of the perception this creates among the public? Is this the leadership Fiji deserves—one that overlooks principle and accountability for the sake of political convenience?
The Prime Minister must answer whether these appointments are genuinely about service delivery or simply about political loyalty. Fiji needs leaders who reflect the values, integrity, and seriousness that the country’s challenges demand—not appointees whose public image contradicts the responsibilities they are given.
PAPS new logo “Turtle”, Do not Vote candidate # 233
I am appalled ! I wish I could just wave a magic wand and make both racier Rabuka and the slut Lynda Tabuya disappear into Korovou prison where they truly belong !
I guess I’ll have to pray harder that our good Lord saves Fiji from these two! Not all is lost! Remember the last elections they couldn’t make a complete victory . They needed the coalition! This time in the next elections with their true colors; the increase of their own ministerial salary to $200,000 and the submerging of the COI report; the increase in Cost of living and the VAT on Essential food items and so forth- PAP will be lucky if they win any seats ! Lynda or no Lynda- PAP is losing the elections next year !!!
@ appalled – Totally agree with you – not all is lost. We all know LT survives in politics under SLR’ patronage and nothing more. Otherwise, she’s burnt toast resorting to “buying votes” that will not command any real loyalty in the long run. Both tragic clowns need to be removed from public office. Appeal to fence sitters on the ground that they can all make the necessary distinctions and put to pasture such conartists masquerading as itaukei leaders. Nothing good and lasting will ever come out of SLR’s so-called ‘leadership’.
Lynda is still better looking than your boyfriend Ashwini. I’ll take her any day than your dictionary speaking boyfriend.
