# A MONUMENTAL POLITICAL OWN GOAL

Posted on February 5, 2025 17 Comments

Birds of a feather

Well at least, Fiji, we now know why the People’s Alliance and Coalition generally are so chronically hopeless at governing the country. The PAP can’t even govern itself and the conclusive proof of that is its decision to allow Lynda Tabuya to remain a member and an MP and be part of its team to contest the next election.

The notion that she will get 11,000-plus votes next time is a fantasy. Her performance in the 2022 election was when she was scandal-free and riding high as an articulate, attractive person who was making it known that her ambition included becoming Fiji’s first woman Prime Minister. I know because she asked me to be her PR advisor.

But after her drug-taking and “brutal” sex with Aseri Radrodro in Room 233, the adultery, lies and the shameless licentiousness, she was already soiled political goods when the Prime Minister kept her in the cabinet last March despite the PAP finding the allegations against her proven.

That was her “second chance”, not her latest howler of a nude, pornographic video reportedly filmed by her lover – a Fijian in the British Army – that she claims risibly to have been made for her “husband”, Rob Semaan, the multi-millionaire co-owner of Pacific Building Solutions, Fiji’s biggest construction company.

The problem for Lynda Tabuya now that she has been “cleared” by her own party is that she claimed to the Electoral Office and to FICAC that she doesn’t have a husband – that they were divorced in 2016 when the whole of Fiji knows that Lynda and Rob are living as man and wife and his income should have been included in her Elections Office income declarations.

The Supervisor of Election, Ana Mataiciwa, referred Lynda Tabuya to FICAC over a complaint that she had failed to declare her husband’s income even while calling him her “spouse”. Grubsheet understands that the deposed FICAC Deputy Commissioner, Francis Puleiwai was poised to charge Tabuya with making a false declaration. But then her close friend, Barbara Malimali, was parachuted into FICAC over Francis Puleiwai’s head and saved her, along with the Deputy Prime Minister, Biman Prasad – who was about to be charged with abuse of office on the very day Puleiwai was replaced – plus a slew of other ministers.

These people think they have got away with what they did. But it is only a temporary reprieve. Because once the corrupt Barbara Malimali is removed – and that is currently being played out behind the scenes in the stand-off between the Malimali Commission of Inquiry and the Chief Justice and head of the Judicial Services Commission, Salesi Temo – all bets are off.

Why has Lynda Tabuya chosen to target Victor Lal and Alex Forwood in her deranged news release of last evening? Because Victor Lal sent copy of her nude video to the Prime Minister, Sitiveni Rabuka, the Deputy Prime Minister, Manoa Kamikamica -as co-head of the government’s Anti-Porn Task Force (or is it Pro Porn Task Force?) – and a number of other senior ministers and officials. This is the crime of “sharing” the video to which Lynda Tabuya objects – the perfectly legitimate act of alerting the leadership to the scandalous conduct of the former Minister for Women, Children and Social Protection.

The targeting of Alex Forwood is even more outrageous. Because she shared the video with the current Commission of Inquiry into the “rotten” circumstances of the appointment of Barbara Malimali to FICAC. The video was formally accepted into evidence by the Commissioner, Justice David Ashton-Lewis. It is part of the inquiry into the Malimali affair, which includes the FICAC Commissioner’s action in blocking an investigation into Lynda Tabuya when she allegedly knew full well that she was still “married” to Rob Semaan and had made a false declaration.

So good luck to the Queen of Tarts in prosecuting Victor Lal when Lal “shared” her video with the Prime Minister and the leadership as part of his civic and journalistic duty to highlighting wrongdoing on the part of a senior ex-minister. And good luck in prosecuting Alex Forwood when she “shared” the video with Justice David Ashton-Lewis and his Counsel Assisting, Janet Mason, and it was accepted into evidence at the Commission.

The whole thing is a farce that will eventually bounce back and hit the People’s Alliance right in the face – an own goal of monumental proportions that is a gift that keeps giving to its political opponents. Fancy the PAP describing letting Tabuya off the hook as giving her a “second chance”. This is her third chance. And it isn’t the end.

Because there are not only reportedly other videos out there that have yet to surface allegedly involving other men. Proceedings are underway that have the potential to unmask the wrongdoing of Lynda Tabuya in making false declarations to the Elections Office and the wrongdoing of Barbara Malimali in abusing her position at FICAC to cover-up Tabuya’s dirty little secret about her marital status. Just what the main governing party needs in the countdown to the 2026 election.

Has anyone done any polling on Lynda Tabuya’s true popularity in the electorate since she was enveloped in scandal? There’s no sign of any. Has anyone done any polling on the government’s true popularity in the electorate as it wallows in chaos and dysfunction and can’t even provide basic services? There’s no sign of any.

And yet the PAP has the confidence to not only keep Lynda Tabuya in its tattered tent but allows her to immediately shoot her big mouth off about targeting Victor Lal and Alex Forwood when they have done nothing wrong and no court in Australia or Britain is going to lift a finger against them. It is all a giant bluff by a woman who will never spend good money going after bad. And the joke is on the Fijian media and the Fijian people who give her empty threats any credence at all.

As I said in my last posting – a light hearted spoof that some people seem to have taken literally – I’m just irritated that Grubsheet isn’t on Lynda Tabuya’s hit list.

I haven’t shared the video with the Prime Minister or the Malimali Commission of Inquiry. I’ve just shared it with my ten best friends and anyone who sends US$50 to my Cayman Islands bank account. BSB XXX: Account No 0073/4: Account name: Bush & Butt 4U2.

It’s all been there on Grubsheet since last October. And, inshallah, it is about to blow.

# EXPOSED: LYNDA TABUYA AND BARBARA MALIMALI’S BIG LIE

The lies continue. The Prime Minister “welcomes the decision” to retain Lynda Tabuya. It was he who reportedly bulldozed it through the party hierarchy!

A lying, amoral crook.

What else can one expect from a confused and incompetent leader like Sitiveni Rabuka? His decision not to expel Lynda Tubuya from the People’s Alliance Party was entirely predictable – another example of his failure to take decisive action when it truly matters.

Now, in a desperate attempt to salvage her reputation, Lynda is trying to distract the public by pushing for the extradition of two individuals. (Sorry, GD, she has conveniently left you out) She thinks this move will erase her scandalous behavior and make her a saint.

But let’s be clear- the real issue is Lynda’s own conduct as a member of the parliament. That’s why Rabuka stripped her of ministerial position. Yet, instead of taking full responsibility, she is playing the victim, acting as if she is the one who suffered an injustice.

Rabuka, on the other hand, has once again proven that he priorities political convenience over principles. Keeping Lynda in the party might be a calculated move for him, but he has failed to recognise that her continued presence in Parliament is an embarrassment – not just for her but for the entire government.

The public is not blind. Rabuka’s incompetence has been exposed time and again, and this is just another glaring example. But what’s even more shocking is the silence from those who claim to champion moral values.

The chair of the Great Council of Chiefs (GCC) recently talked about the moral decay in society but has conveniently ignored Lynda’s actions. If he truly wants to address moral decline, he should start by holding leaders like Lynda accountable.

Lynda has set a disgraceful example for young girls, women, and youths of this country. Rabuka’s failure to act decisively proves that he is unfit to lead.

You wouldn’t be surprised that she might even get back a ministerial position soon.

PAP better get ready. There will be more inquiries and pardons. Welcome to 2025.

The PM is taking a calculated gamble. He needs Lynda’s vote-grabbing power and will not expel her from the party. She has currently been sin-binned and like Big Arnie, she “will be back”.

All Rambo has to do is mumble the right words about God being the supreme forgiving being that we all worship and that “sinners do have a future” etc….and the people will be feeding out of his had once more.

The guy has succeeded in conning the i’taukei voters before, and will do so again in 2026. He will be back with Lynda his deputy.

Now go bet your house on that happening.

Ah Mark, you’re still alive! I thought one of your patients might have killed you by now.

Go back to the Fiji Times. That’s where thickheads like you deserve to get their “news”. But it’s nice to know you just can’t resist taking a peek over here now and again to find out what’s really going on.

You never know. You might learn something.

Linda’s threat to Victor and Alex is purely hot air, just like Richard’s on Graham.

Linda and Richard have lots in common. Among those, they have the gab and the means.

    Bula Mr Stanley Simpson; one question for you to please ask the current FICAC commissioner;
“Can you please explain as to why you are prohibited from practicing as a lawyer in Tuvalu?”

Let’s see what you are made of as a so called professional journalist.

The suggestion to ask such a question (tuvalugate) is rather unfair on Appu Simpson and risky too.

Aunty Titti might decide to give Appu a demonstration.

Shitmama (Shamima) and her NGO donkeys are more concerned about LGBTQA-Z people not being allowed to play women’s rugby whilst the country is being molested by the Coalition monkeys and their retarded appointees. Their silence and deliberate refusal to speak out against the corrupt and racist regime
is confirmation that these NGOs are full of SHIT.

    Source:
START In Fiji, diplomatic passports are issued to the President and their spouse, the Prime Minister and their spouse, government ministers, and government officials working in diplomatic missions abroad; essentially, high-level government officials conducting official diplomatic business. END.
With the ( former ) Minister for Women now relieved of her Ministerial position one hopes the Fijian Diplomatic Passport that was issued to her in her official capacity has been revoked by the issuer, as this privilege is only for the office holders noted above and for the duration of their holding office.
Then the individual hoping to travel to the UK and Australia, on this personal crusade against Victor Lal and Alex Forwood, should apply for a visa on her ordinary passport and hopefully she discloses fully any relevant information required in a visa application to those countries. Scammers and swindlers may not be entertained in both of these countries.

Tabuya is a scammer who scammed millions off people in USA.
Victor and Alex should report her to their respective agencies in their countries so she is never allowed in those countries on any visa. Report her now in all countries that you can think of too.
She wants to play well then it is time to play.

About Grubsheet

Graham Davis
Grubsheet Feejee is the blogsite of Graham Davis, an award-winning journalist turned communications consultant who was the Fijian Government’s principal communications advisor for six years from 2012 to 2018 and continued to work on Fiji’s global climate and oceans campaign up until the end of the decade.

Fiji-born to missionary parents and a dual Fijian-Australian national, Graham spent four decades in the international media before returning to Fiji to work full time in 2012. He reported from many parts of the world for the BBC, ABC, SBS, the Nine and Seven Networks and Sky News and wrote for a range of newspapers and magazines in Australia, New Zealand and Fiji.

Graham launched Grubsheet Feejee in 2011 and suspended writing for it after the Fijian election of 2014, by which time he was working at the heart of government. But the website continued to attract hits as a background resource on events in Fiji in the transition back to parliamentary democracy.

Grubsheet relaunches in 2020 at one of the most critical times in Fijian history, with the nation reeling from the Covid-19 crisis and Frank Bainimarama’s government shouldering the twin burdens of incumbency and economic disintegration.

Grubsheet’s sole agenda is the national interest; the strengthening of Fiji’s ties with the democracies; upholding equal rights for all citizens; government that is genuinely transparent and free of corruption and nepotism; and upholding Fiji’s service to the world in climate and oceans advocacy and UN Peacekeeping.
