# BIRDS OF A FEATHER. ANOTHER EPISODE OF THE TANYA AND BARBIE SHOW.

Posted on December 11, 2025 13 Comments

So Barbara Malimali‘s loquacious lawyer during the Ashton- Lewis Commission of Inquiry, Tanya Waqanika, appears before a corruption court represented by… wait for it… Bad Barbie herself.

It really is a tiny crocodile pond in the legal fraternity in Suva, with Tanya flashing a brilliant crocodile smile while doing the traditional walk of shame for the cameras outside the court. Though there is nothing to smile about when the reputations of both women are now at stake and their careers are also on the line.

The walk of shame – already trodden in recent days by Manoa Kamikamica and Biman Prasad – keeps being taken by more accused. Wonder who’s next?

Bad Barbie tells the court that they are going to join the Wylie Clarke and Richard Naidu-led conga line for their own clients – the two stood-down deputy prime ministers – and file an application for a permanent stay on proceedings in the High Court.

It’s becoming the favoured tactic these accused think they can get off the hook. But mark my words. It isn’t going to work. The wheels of justice are already turning and nothing is going to stop the process, short of being hit by the Nasese bus or choking on their breakfast madrai.

Desperate try-ons by lawyers who think they are smarter than they are which are destined to fail. Unless, of course, the system itself is corrupt.

Perish the thought.

Now Charlie “No Long Loaf” Charters taking to Facebook to derail FICAC case against Tanya. It’s funny the lengths Charlie is going to go just because the rich and well connected lot can do.

The charges on smiling assassin Manoa Kamikamica, smiling mongoose Baiman Prasad, Bulky Barbara and Tubby Tanya should be a humbling experience as they were flying high and acting like kings and queens — like the sun rose from their rears.

Manoa and Baiman were riding roughshod over voters, having lied to them repeatedly about taking a pay cut to get votes, than doing the opposite when elected. Manoa actually demanded more so he could do more work. Why didn’t you say that while campaigning, Fatso?

Manoa and Baiman are leading members of a grabbing and greedy government who got voted in on a pack of lies, such as reducing debt and deficit and overseas travel.

They were like parasites preying on poor voters and taxpayers and sucking them dry while enriching themselves. Their charging was divine intervention. No tears lost for these charlatans. These losers are no loss for the country.

I don’t agree with the “The wheels of justice are already turning” statement. The only reason they are being charged is because Rabuka is putting his sinister plan into motion.

Let’s be honest, there is no justice or rule of law in Fiji at the moment. It’s a selective justice system currently designed to work against certain individuals whilst favoring the elite.

The appointment of an incompetent and corrupt Temo as CJ is proof that Rabuka is currently applying the law of the jungle. Otherwise the first one to go should have been Temo, based on the COI report.

From the pic, Tanya Waqanika is already walkking around the court halls, carrying a box of Orchid tissues. It looks like she is already aware of how this whole farce of her defence is going to end. In tears.

Meanwhile, the earlier demoted incompetent, liu muri and aage piche Chimoni Tauraga is baking his referendum bill to suppress public advocacy and the indigenous Rights Bill to fool i-taukei voters with matters that are already protected in the 2013 Constitution. Suvavou house level 9 requires another mopping of the diarrhea stench created by Chimoni Tauraaga.

The Coalition Govt is a lost cause now with its self created scandals, self created legal bungles, self created marital affairs, self created investigations on themselves, self created investigations on their appointees to public offices, corrupt Coalition ministers facing court now, inability to appoint a stable and competent AG, broken promises of ministers salary reduction and national debt reductions, losing supreme court case opinion to invalidate 2013 Constitution, mounting health crises, out of control drug situations, 47 police charged on drug cases so far while compol outright dismissing viber messages so far, kaloumaiwai busy apologizing to chiefs while Gadai raising drug red flags, increasing pot holes on road day by day, ever increasing ministerial overseas trips, local government election roller coaster ride with public taken on that ride, problems with Labor law Bill as raised by business community, problem with CAAF Bill as raised by Nawari of Fiji Airports, problem with the Referendum Bill as raised by Dialogue Fiji, problem with Indigenous Rights Bill as matters already covered in constitution, questionable appointments to overseas missions such as recent ones, questionable foreign policy with “coup maker meets war criminal” Fiji Times caption, unpaid Fiji Airways Israel debt , Baimaan appointed tax crime committee avoiding Baiman’s tax investigations on CGT as reported by Fijileaks, Problems with Rolex Rabuka always “not aware” while being fully aware, problems with water taps remaining dry at Sakoca and other areas, COI recommendations on Temo not implemented, and so on …..

    Hahahahaha…….Thieves writing alibis for thieves.

No integrity, no impartiality — just a mutual protection racket dressed up as legal practice, a corruption tag-team.

These 2 fatsos have a lot in common including their sizes, bullshit smiles, their immoral and unethical practices as lawyers etc. They are both part of a corrupt system and thought that they can fool all the people aÄŗl the time. Both don’t have an ounce of intellect in those big heads. Made me laugh when Barbie closed serious cases as FICAC Commissioner including one againat dogla Baimaan. I seriously hope that Barbie and her sister are under investigation for having used the FICAC budget to represent Barbie’s personal case at the COI; charges of similar nature brought against Riyaz Saiyad Khaiyum for using FBC funds.

It’s just one monumental, (with deep respect to 1863 and Case Reference: Case 3401, concerning Private Robert McKnight where the word was first documented) F**K UP after another.

About Grubsheet

Graham Davis
Grubsheet Feejee is the blogsite of Graham Davis, an award-winning journalist turned communications consultant who was the Fijian Government’s principal communications advisor for six years from 2012 to 2018 and continued to work on Fiji’s global climate and oceans campaign up until the end of the decade.

Fiji-born to missionary parents and a dual Fijian-Australian national, Graham spent four decades in the international media before returning to Fiji to work full time in 2012. He reported from many parts of the world for the BBC, ABC, SBS, the Nine and Seven Networks and Sky News and wrote for a range of newspapers and magazines in Australia, New Zealand and Fiji.

Graham launched Grubsheet Feejee in 2011 and suspended writing for it after the Fijian election of 2014, by which time he was working at the heart of government. But the website continued to attract hits as a background resource on events in Fiji in the transition back to parliamentary democracy.

Grubsheet relaunches in 2020 at one of the most critical times in Fijian history, with the nation reeling from the Covid-19 crisis and Frank Bainimarama’s government shouldering the twin burdens of incumbency and economic disintegration.

Grubsheet’s sole agenda is the national interest; the strengthening of Fiji’s ties with the democracies; upholding equal rights for all citizens; government that is genuinely transparent and free of corruption and nepotism; and upholding Fiji’s service to the world in climate and oceans advocacy and UN Peacekeeping.
