Can it possibly be true? Can Lynda Tabuya be so stupid? Because astonishing reports are emerging from police sources in Fiji of yet another sex video featuring the Minister for Information, Environment and Climate Change, aka the Minister for Bonking and Weed.
The existence of the video is a closely guarded secret. But Fiji being Fiji, attempts to suppress it are beginning to unravel and threaten the Rabuka Coalition with a fresh crisis at the worst possible time – when Tabuya is due to host the pre-COP climate conference in Fiji in October and six months out from the election that Rabuka is trying to delay.
We are still to see the video ourselves here at Grubsheet and appeal to anyone in the Fiji Police who has a copy to send it to us. But here are the details that have emerged so far.
- The images were discovered when police seized the phone of Jonathan Hill – the boxer , fitness trainer and son-in-law of Lenora Qereqeretabua – the NFP MP who is Assistant Minister for Foreign Affairs.

- That seizure took place when police arrested Hill over his alleged involvement in Fiji’s biggest drug bust – the Vatia, Tavua, seizure of illicit substances valued at $F3-billion. Hill has since been granted immunity in a highly questionable decision by the ODPP in exchange for him testifying against his alleged co-conspirators.
- On Hill’s phone, the police are said to have found a video of him having sex with Lynda Tabuya. In another clip, Hill is allegedly having sex with a family member of Jone Vakarisi – the alleged drug king-pin tortured and murdered at the Queen Elizabeth Barracks back in April whose killers have yet to be identified and brought to justice.
- What is the relationship between Lynda Tabuya and Jonathan Hill that would have led them to engage in a sexual relationship in the first place? We know that by her own admission, LyndaTabuya told her then lover, the Minister for Education, Aseri Radrodro, that she was smoking “weed” in Room 233 of the Windsor Hotel in Melbourne in August 2023. Was she getting drugs from Jonathan Hill?
- All this requires a thorough investigation. But if the existence of this video is true, it is a major scandal that threatens to immolate not only Lynda Tabuya but the entire Coalition and especially the Prime Minister, who has brought her back from disgrace to one of the most critical roles in government and whose judgment is now seriously on the line.
It is not only a major embarrassment for Fiji – which is set to host the nations of the world for critical talks on climate change in three month’s time – but the New Zealand Government, which has provided $NZ200,000 for the making of a film that perpetuates the lie of Lynda Tabuya being a victim when she has engaged in scandalous conduct which would have had her removed in New Zealand or any democracy other than Fiji.
The police hierarchy in Fiji cannot continue to bury the latest video, which sources say is in direct response to pressure from Lynda Tabuya. Lenora Qereqeretabua also owes it to the public to tell us what, if anything, she knows. Because this is an unprecedented scandal that comes on top of all the other scandals that have enveloped Lynda Tabuya, Sitiveni Rabuka and the rest of this government.
After all the shenanigans with Aseri Radrodro in Room 233 of the Windsor Hotel, the lies, the finding by the People’s Alliance that Lynda Tabuya was guilty of a “sex and illicit drug scandal” that had “brought the party into severe and probably irreparable damage”, the stripping of her deputy leadership of the PAP and her first pornographic video made when she was co-Chair of the Coalition’s Anti-Porn Task Force, we might have expected that she had learnt her lesson.
Not so, it seems. And tonight, Tabuya and the Coalition are embroiled in yet another scandal that requires an immediate response from the Prime Minister and a full explanation of the reports emerging from police sources.
Speaking personally, Grubsheet can scarcely believe Tabuya’s recklessness. But also Sitiveni Rabuka’s recklessness in propelling her into a senior position when she had such stunning “form” that indicated her complete unfitness for high public office.
The New Zealand government and media seems to be totally ignorant of the fact that she left behind debts in the United States of more than $F100-million after the failure of her fat busting business there, the scandal of Room 233 in 2023 and her removal as deputy PAP leader. While they do seem to be aware of her first sex video, how will they greet reports of a second?
There is egg poised tonight to be spread all over the face of Sitiveni Rabuka and also senior members of the New Zealand government (if these reports are confirmed). But all the signs have long been there that Tabuya has been totally bereft of judgment. And they should have known all along that one way or another, this was always going to end in tears. Because the woman seemingly can’t help herself.

The letter from the Prime Minister to Lynda Tabuya finding her guilty of a “sex and Illicit drug scandal” that has never been published by the mainstream Fijian media.
The New Zealand media and government would do well to examine it closely.

Online abuse of vulnerable people that leads to mental health issues & suicide is to be taken seriously and needs to be actively addressed.
Lynda is wealthy, well connected, powerful and a mature aged woman. It is shameful that she has forged a victim mentality over a video that SHE made. Not a video a perpetrator made & blackmailed/shamed her with. Not a naive child or teen. A video she made as an adult knowing the risks of making a permanent record of a sex act. Smallest violin in the world. And Rabuka – smallest IQ of a Prime Minister in the world.
If there is another sex video, it does not matter. Lynda deserves forgiveness and another chance. That is the Christian and the kai viti way. Vulagis will never understand the kai viti way. This is Fiji so let the kai viti do things their way. That is exactly what has been happening for the last 4 years – the right way.
Karaik. Now we know why there was so little reaction to Joe Nata’s account at the Truth and Reconciliation hearings of those holding the Chaudhry government hostage at the old parliamentary complex in 2000 contemplating an act of cannibalism.
The rest of us may be forced occasionally to eat our words (or our hat) but it’s only the “Kai Viti” who still long to eat each other (or the odd vulagi).
We all thought this was behind us but clearly not. But do go ahead. Fornication followed by feasting (or the other way round). Sa vinaka. The Fijian way, eh?
Just do the rest of us a favour and leave Christ out of it. Because it isn’t Christian. It is savagery.
I was being sarcastic GD. But that is the prevalent and overwhelming thinking in the kai viti populace without a doubt. That is the thinking in the highest offices in the land 120%.
No more Lynda videos for me, I’m still receiving psychological treatment after watching the Bush version.
I think Lynda could dance naked down the main street of Suva and everyone would stop and watch and then carry on walking as if nothing happened.
And still be employed (I use that term lightly) as a Minster.
Agree, that’s how desensitized people are – if one is to believe that Fiji has one of the highest stats in pornography viewing. Nothing ever happens in isolation. The country pays the price for the declining moral standards, and that doesn’t pertain to only sexual matters.
Once again: as long as the compromised Rabuka remains at the helm, the nation will continue to see scandal after scandal after scandal… He and the shameless likes of him cannot help themselves, history has shown this time and again. So how much more proof is needed to convince voters that Fiji deserves better than settling for this rubbish-characters masquerading as leaders?
Aren’t we getting ahead of ourselves?
There is no concrete evidence of any such video. Not even a smoking gun of any significance. It’s all pure speculation at this stage and should not have been written, so flimsy is the evidence. Hold your horses a bit until you have concrete evidence rather than make such wild claims. This is not journalism.
Crikey. And here am I expecting a denial or clarification and all I get is a lecture on journalistic practice.
You’re right. This isn’t journalism as practiced in Fiji – timid, subservient, selective and with a constant eye on the taxpayer payments to millionaire media proprietors who are on the government drip.
Lynda Tabuya has form – with pornographic videos, louche sexual conduct and an almost pathological propensity to lie. As the Prime Minister’s letter says: guilty of a “sex and illicit drug scandal” that has caused serious, even irreparable damage to the reputation of the PAP.
When I get reports from sources I trust and have a history of being reliable, I’m gonna go for it. The necessary caveats are there. IF this is true. But on any fair reading of what I have written, it is both responsible (I have protected the identity of the Vakarisi family member allegedly on Jonathan Hill’s phone) and in the public interest. Because despite the damning findings against Lynda Tabuya even by the Prime Minister himself, he brought her back as Information Minister and to head Fiji’s climate fight. And that is scandalous in itself.
We await further details and comment from the principals and especially the Prime Minister. But Grubsheet stands by this story in the form we have written it. I specifically ask “Can it be possibly true”? And if it isn’t, then I will report that too.
If a person gets caught doing something in private that they as a public figure are advocating against and then claim victimhood , isn’t that gaslighting ?
If the person was a man in similar circumstances what scrutiny would he face?
These are questions people should ask themselves.
This latest news of Tabuya’s whoring should make anyone wonder if the town’s “bus stand” has slept with every man in Fiji. I believe the medical term for her condition is nymphomania.
Any bloke who has slept with Tabuya should be heading into the nearest STI clinic and get tested for STDs because this latest fiasco shows she has no limits and will sleep with anyone.
– Connection between Lynda and Jonathan Hill is Box Fit/Grass-Fit. Lynda is still ‘training’ with them. Didn’t know the personal sessions were of extreme nature..
– RNZ is compromised because Lice is their Fiji correspondent.
Isn’t Lice Movono the ABC’s Fiji correspondent? Surely she can’t also file for Radio New Zealand? That’s hardly media diversity. Clarification appreciated, anyone?
Lice could be found in Lynda’s bush.
She is the most one eyed foreign correspondent ABC ever has had.
Could someone teach her that it is “three” and not “dree”?
https://journalist.net/lice.movono
Lice Movono is a Suva-based multiplatform journalist, communications specialist and media skills trainer with over two decades of experience covering the South Pacific, particularly Fiji, reporting for international outlets including ABC, RNZ, Al Jazeera, The Guardian among other titles
But the question is: “Is Lice Movono simultaneously correspondent for ABC and RNZ right now?”. Because the RNZ journalist who appears to specialise in Fiji is Margot Staunton – not resident in Fiji but who reports on Fiji seemingly more than most.
Speaking personally, I would be very concerned if just one journalist is presenting events in Fiji to audiences in both Australia and New Zealand simply on the basis of media diversity. We clearly need more than one voice, especially given the concerns expressed here and elsewhere that Lice Movono is too close to the Coalition.
This is especially so with an election looming and the absolute imperative of having unbiased coverage on the public broadcasting outlets of Australia and NZ. Opinion journalism with strong advocacy like you see here on Grubsheet or Fijileaks is one thing. But mainstream media reporting paid for by Aussie and Kiwi taxpayers must not only be fair but seen to be fair.
It is something the opposition parties in Fiji must insist on, along with members of the Fijian diaspora in Oz and NZ whose taxes also pay for this coverage.
Lice is for both ABC and RNZ Pacific.
If there is another video of Lynda, that would surely qualify her to be the next PM.
Isn’t that how it works in this gvernment? The more scandal, the more convictions and the more you fiddle your trust account and allowances the more you deserve a promotion.
In most countries people get promoted by getting a leg up by helpful colleagues, in Fiji it’s by getting a leg over.
GD, it looks like you are obsessed and consumed please get out of the jungle/bush for your own good before it’s too late. Get real. You are no Tarzan.
Me Tarzan. You Cheetah, (Tarzan’s pet chimp).
Obsessed? Moi?
Ee, ee, ee, ee, ee!
Shit no more videos of this bushy lady. Kerekere any Grasschopper company in Shuva can werewere the bushes. lol
