# BREAKING NEWS…FRANK BAINIMARAMA SPARED ANOTHER JAIL TERM…

Posted on October 22, 2025 16 Comments

…but we can be sure that the corrupt ODPP will appeal the sentence after the “sacked by Christopher Pryde but reinstated by Nancy Tikoisuva” Assistant DPP, Laisani Tabuakoro, broke with convention and demanded a custodial sentence at the end of the former prime minister’s trial.

————————

Watch as the renegade Assistant DPP appeals the sentence as a matter of course. Because justice doesn’t come into it in the corrupt Salesi Temo‘s criminal justice system.

It is about retribution. Pure and simple.

When will someone speak up and lay some charges against President Pedo?
He is enjoying his entitlements at the moment with free medical care in India, we are told.

The Country, Fiji, really has gone to the Dogs !
Commit treason, you can write your own immunity clause.
Guilty of unwarranted demands by a Public Offical, get a suspended sentence.
Corruption, what the hell, live without fear !
    Accountability, whats that ??
Seems whether a public official or lawyer you’re above the Law in Fiji.
Zimbabwe here we come, while the exodus continues.
    WTF !

I am so happy that the Natives are getting Karma Served in its best form. This is not a racist statement but that of factual substance.

Vulagis and Kai India – hope all can go away from Fiji. Sooner the better. Let the mataqali run their country. Make it Great like PNG, Solomons, Vanuwatu, Somalia, and other mataqali countries which are so successful in African Continent.

Fiji will be rebranded. From “where happiness finds you” to “where kerekere and butako awaits you”.

    The country is finished.

@Troy, everyone is welcome to leave, live, as they choose. Just as you are most welcome to be a racist here yet claim otherwise. As for Fiji, it will always be home, to the vulagi and, Itaukei.

I’m not sure if or when people will kinder / but the most serious instances of bad governance in Fiji that have had biggest negative impact on. All of us by public officials are:

    – tax holiday: we taxpayers still have no understanding of how this happened and who benefitted

    – student loan write off which together with the exodus was a $1bn gift to Australia

    – conflicts of interest that serve elite with political connections

If Fiji is ever going to move forward there has to be better governance and honestly pursuing this particular case against old PM was another waste of money.

The reason we are where we are is irresponsible elite. Some of those elite have trashed their reputations for a little bit of power and money. It’s remarkable to witrness

“The reason we are where we are is irresponsible elite” and critically, let us not forget the cricket score 54-1.

Only 1 of the 55 years of political independence was under the leadership of the Vulagi who contribute over 90% of corporate taxes and are being threatened by indigenous supremacists to return to their motherland, or wherever under the sun other than Viti where happiness finds you.

I just want to see Rabuka in prison. He is the main evil, vile, sinful, devil infested person who has destroyed Fiji.

  8. PAP using Israel to rig elections ! says

Bainimarama has faced time like a man! Rabuka lamu tikoga ! So even though Bainimarama can’t contest elections now – at least he gets to be home with his family .

Rabuka on the other hand is still running away from prison and talks smart but too much lamu!

Meanwhile GD I had written here how Israel had offered in 2014 to help Sodelpa win elections by rigging the polls.

The late Mr Qarase refused the offer from Israel. When Rabuka recently went to Israel despite the war going on between Gaza and them , U knew Rabuka was there to try influence them to come back and rig elections next year and give SLR another term leading fiji.

This eve I read in the news that Israel is here to assist set up cyber security systems ! LOL cyber manipulation more like to rig elections for PAP!!

I’m pretty sure a higher court can legally invalidate FRANK’S conviction on the account of illegally appointed DPPs.

not under Bebe Temo’s watch. The Judicial system in Fiji is at his mercy.

Would not be surprised if the judge in this matter had their contract cancelled.

Effing like you would not understand.
    Just like a empty vessel.
There is a maximum and minimum in any judgment.
    A conviction is a conviction.
Will hold back a person in so many ways.
He’s out of the election race, same as was for Mr. Qarase and Chaudhry.
With his financial status,I don’t think Bai will ever come back to politics.
He has too much in his pocket.

Reason why Pedo Prez’ bitch Bebe Temo was appointed in the 1st place.

Pedo Prez could never forgive Frank – how dare he stand in his way.

About Grubsheet

Graham Davis
Grubsheet Feejee is the blogsite of Graham Davis, an award-winning journalist turned communications consultant who was the Fijian Government’s principal communications advisor for six years from 2012 to 2018 and continued to work on Fiji’s global climate and oceans campaign up until the end of the decade.

Fiji-born to missionary parents and a dual Fijian-Australian national, Graham spent four decades in the international media before returning to Fiji to work full time in 2012. He reported from many parts of the world for the BBC, ABC, SBS, the Nine and Seven Networks and Sky News and wrote for a range of newspapers and magazines in Australia, New Zealand and Fiji.

Graham launched Grubsheet Feejee in 2011 and suspended writing for it after the Fijian election of 2014, by which time he was working at the heart of government. But the website continued to attract hits as a background resource on events in Fiji in the transition back to parliamentary democracy.

Grubsheet relaunches in 2020 at one of the most critical times in Fijian history, with the nation reeling from the Covid-19 crisis and Frank Bainimarama’s government shouldering the twin burdens of incumbency and economic disintegration.

Grubsheet’s sole agenda is the national interest; the strengthening of Fiji’s ties with the democracies; upholding equal rights for all citizens; government that is genuinely transparent and free of corruption and nepotism; and upholding Fiji’s service to the world in climate and oceans advocacy and UN Peacekeeping.
