# UNCONFIRMED REPORTS THAT THE POLICE HAVE SWEPT ON BIMAN PRASAD (BEING REGULARLY UPDATED)

Posted on June 5, 2025 28 Comments

Reports from Suva – so far unconfirmed – say that members of the CID went to pick up Biman Prasad – the Deputy Prime Minister, FInance Minister and leader of the NFP – for questioning this morning as part of their investigation into allegations of abuse of office against him.

They arrived at his office to be told that Prasad was in a budget meeting and was unavailable. They then reportedly left a message with his staff that the Minister was to report to CID headquarters immediately after his meeting had ended.

There are further unconfirmed reports that the Commander of the RFMF, Major General Ro Jone Kalouniwai, has told the Prime Minister, Sitiveni Rabuka, that the Ashton Lewis Commission of Inquiry report must be released, and that this could happen as early as tomorrow (Friday).

Sorry to bust anyone’s bubble, but there’s nothing to be excited about the possibility of positive news–that this government is going to do the right thing or going to get better.

The meetings today were likely just contingency security briefings to shore up the snake’s fortunes.

In other words, the government and its various security and administrative apparatus have already determined the real decision that it does nothing more.

The rest of the statements and comments by everyone, and particularly by the snake, are designed to distract people government’s real plan of doing nothing. No further action, including no release of the CoI report.

This another typical smoke and mirrors game of lying by the Snake. Fakery from all of them.

Fakes, liars, and the Snake but no ladders.

For everything going wrong to him in this life and next life, Biman will always blame it on “past 16 years of Bai-Kai rule”. Biman had huge support base when coming into power through Coalition but his arrogance will see total erosion of his support base for 2026 election and he may see himself fronting courts a lot as well.

It’s a disaster waiting to happen. The change of government was welcomed by more than half of the voters who exercised their right to vote. But not in a million years did we expect this bunch to be so thoroughly incompetent and to inflict such poor governance upon themselves. Our neighbourhood canteen and mini-market vendors have far superior leadership qualities than the coalition members of parliament.

It’s an utter tragedy that Fiji hasn’t got anyone with a clean moral conscience to change things for us ordinary Fijians who just want people leading our nation to do better for us, not themselves.

She and her NFP cohorts are busy looking for a new leader to replace the failed leadership of Biman.

So you Ben Chods should give her space.

The only time we know this is a confirmed report is when see a picture or video of the Baiman Dogla being led out of his office in cuffs, surrounded by CID and Police Officers to spend an evening in prison.

Biman Prasad is a grub of a human being. A rolled gold effwit who knows how to screw the system to his advantage.

Watch him flee to NZ if and when his mess with FICAC is over.

When is Chief Justice Temo going to be suspended? He is the main culprit who has bought the Judiciary, DDP and FICAC in to disrepute. Temo has to go for Fiji’s sake.

Wishful thinking. Biman ain’t going anywhere. He is innocent. He is staying put. Not only Pryde but Biman is also a victim of trumped up charges. It’s witch hunters and the leaders of the baying mob are Graham Davis and Victor Lal who have an axe to grind. But it won’t work. Prepare yourselves to be continue to be disappointed.

There is no news. Biman filed a case against Ben Padarath and CID went to record his statement. Alex VF posted this as well.

He is still under fresh investigation and the Prime Minister has confirmed it, albeit indirectly, in his comments today.

Let him issue a statement to clarify the position himself.

    GD.
I have been saying this for a few days now that rabaku will not make the report public cos he himself is implicated in it. And that in the meantime to divert the attention of fijian public he will offer a few minor heads on a plate and make lots of gibberish statements with added timber to the baritone.
And if you need more proof of this then just look at the fiji times cover story for tomorrow where baku admits that even he is mentioned in the report!
Do you think the media asked him any follow up questions to such an important comment? Of course not..we are the fijian media we don’t ask intelligent and follow up questions. We are an impotent compromised lot doing our best to protect the coalition circus clowns whilst pretending to inform the public.
Baku is involved in the whole mess up to his old fart eyeballs, he is mentioned in the report and nothing will be done that he doesn’t want done.
The snake will slither away yet again.

He is the Prime Minister so I would expect him to be mentioned. The question is whether he is mentioned adversely. In other words, that a finding is made against him. And if this is so, it’s the first I’ve heard of it.

Yes, he and everyone for that matter is innocent until proven otherwise before the independent courts. However, this innocence could have been established or otherwise if opportunity was given for FICAC’s Pulewai’s charge on DPM Prasad to proceed to court. Nonetheless, as per COI’s recommendations, Malimali (who closed his case) has been terminated and this therefore means all her decisions (including to close his case) is null and void/questionable – and now warrants a review- and this is what FICAC and police is currently doing as understood from PM’s general announcement today. Certainly, the FICAC charge had nothing to do with perceived witch hunting but was based on a referral of a complaint from the Supervisor of Elections.

    Our snaky PM
    – when the tribunal cleared DPP Christopher Pryde of any wrongdoing, Rabuka said he could not do anything from DPP being obstructed from returning to continue in his position. He said it is in the hands of the Judicial Services Commission. Oh! I hope someone told you your official DPP is being sworn at and threatened
    – now when it came to terminate Malimali he went direct to President. Why didn’t he leave it to the JSC. Oh yes he has to protect his CJ, the great help to put Frank behind bars.
Some Fiji people may be your gullible voters, but there is majority other sensible citizen who understand your motive.
Why don’t you suspend the CJ Temo, your political shield, if that is what the COI recommends. You wasted no time in termination the AG. Is that why you are not releasing the COI report to the public. CJ should be the first one to be suspended and investigated. Didn’t somebody tell you?
You may be able to influence the police, but I think you are running out of luck with the military.

About Grubsheet

Graham Davis
Grubsheet Feejee is the blogsite of Graham Davis, an award-winning journalist turned communications consultant who was the Fijian Government’s principal communications advisor for six years from 2012 to 2018 and continued to work on Fiji’s global climate and oceans campaign up until the end of the decade.

Fiji-born to missionary parents and a dual Fijian-Australian national, Graham spent four decades in the international media before returning to Fiji to work full time in 2012. He reported from many parts of the world for the BBC, ABC, SBS, the Nine and Seven Networks and Sky News and wrote for a range of newspapers and magazines in Australia, New Zealand and Fiji.

Graham launched Grubsheet Feejee in 2011 and suspended writing for it after the Fijian election of 2014, by which time he was working at the heart of government. But the website continued to attract hits as a background resource on events in Fiji in the transition back to parliamentary democracy.

Grubsheet relaunches in 2020 at one of the most critical times in Fijian history, with the nation reeling from the Covid-19 crisis and Frank Bainimarama’s government shouldering the twin burdens of incumbency and economic disintegration.

Grubsheet’s sole agenda is the national interest; the strengthening of Fiji’s ties with the democracies; upholding equal rights for all citizens; government that is genuinely transparent and free of corruption and nepotism; and upholding Fiji’s service to the world in climate and oceans advocacy and UN Peacekeeping.
