# COMING SOON. IS JUSTICE DAVID ASHTON-LEWIS FACING ARREST ON ARRIVAL IN FIJI FOR THE COI JUDICIAL REVIEW HEARING?

Posted on November 14, 2025 7 Comments

The integrity of the judicial system in Fiji hangs in the balance as the corrupt Chief Justice, Salesi Temo, turns the tables on the Supreme Court Judge who has accused him of perjury and perverting the course of justice and is pressing for Justice Ashton-Lewis to be charged with fraud.

The shocking saga of how the Prime Minister, Sitiveni Rabuka – who is still refusing to suspend Salesi Temo despite the CoI findings against him – is allowing the Judge he engaged to “identify the crocodiles in the pond” to become the hunted instead.

Prey for the crocodiles who remain in place.

I think that Ashton-Lewis should stay as far away from this place as he can, just like Christopher Pryde.

Temo is a loose cannon with anyone who wants to help this country becoming a target for the mad hatter with a wig.

Who, in their right mind, would come here when the person at the head of the judicial system is a corrupt individual that should have been stood down, pending an investigation, months ago.

This country should never have gained independence. It’s not capable of running under its own steam.

Why not take the silly-looking wigs away, they look pretty stupid at the best of times, even on Jon Apted & Co !

Give Temo a couple of old war clubs and some pigs teeth to hang around his neck, more appropriate for the times wouldn’t you say ??

Justice Ashton-Lewis should take his cue from the Pryde (DPP) saga. Anything is possible in lawless Fiji. The selective justice system in Fiji is a ticking time bomb.

All just part of the smoke and mirrors to hide the real perpetrators. This is embarrassing for Fiji globally.

And of course Rabuka, being caught with his pants down, will only decide how this plays out to his advantage.

When will Fiji learn the difference between manipulation and real intelligence and leadership?

As long as the vulagi do not benefit.

Justice Ashton-Lewis should follow Chris and Graham; simply stay away or else you will be stored away.

Orchestrated onshore by the Chief Justice and Minister for Justice, and remotely controlled and endorsed from offshore by the stick-supported pedo military-trashing head of state chief and his loyal till death do us part subject. Plus the supportive spineless “free” media, led by the once blacklisted but now pardoned Mac Patel.

Any attempt by the clearly corrupt CJ to have Justice Ashton-Lewis arrested would be the final nail in the coffin of justice in Fiji.

It would show the world that there is no justice in Fiji, only payback metered out by incompetent appointed people.

And to those who thought the FijiFirst Government was vindictive, look what you now have!

About Grubsheet

Graham Davis
Grubsheet Feejee is the blogsite of Graham Davis, an award-winning journalist turned communications consultant who was the Fijian Government’s principal communications advisor for six years from 2012 to 2018 and continued to work on Fiji’s global climate and oceans campaign up until the end of the decade.

Fiji-born to missionary parents and a dual Fijian-Australian national, Graham spent four decades in the international media before returning to Fiji to work full time in 2012. He reported from many parts of the world for the BBC, ABC, SBS, the Nine and Seven Networks and Sky News and wrote for a range of newspapers and magazines in Australia, New Zealand and Fiji.

Graham launched Grubsheet Feejee in 2011 and suspended writing for it after the Fijian election of 2014, by which time he was working at the heart of government. But the website continued to attract hits as a background resource on events in Fiji in the transition back to parliamentary democracy.

Grubsheet relaunches in 2020 at one of the most critical times in Fijian history, with the nation reeling from the Covid-19 crisis and Frank Bainimarama’s government shouldering the twin burdens of incumbency and economic disintegration.

Grubsheet’s sole agenda is the national interest; the strengthening of Fiji’s ties with the democracies; upholding equal rights for all citizens; government that is genuinely transparent and free of corruption and nepotism; and upholding Fiji’s service to the world in climate and oceans advocacy and UN Peacekeeping.
