“You win some, you lose some” is an adage that applies as much to celebrity lawyers as it does to anyone else who takes their chances in the courts. And Richard “I have the means” Naidu and Wylie “Coyote” Clarke – along with their star Kings Counsel, Martin Daubney – have sure had a big loss in their attempt to derail the FICAC prosecutions of Biman Prasad and Manoa Kamikamica.
Both sidelined deputy prime ministers are now going to trial – with all that entails for their own political careers as well as the fortunes of the Coalition as a whole – after the High Court judge, Justice Siainiu Fa’alogo-Bull, made the same ruling in Prasad’s case yesterday as she did in Kamikamica’s case – that none of the arguments their defence lawyers made to great fanfare back in March to secure a permanent stay in the proceedings had any merit at all.
That’s right. None.
Dear oh dear. And they seemed so certain they were going to win.

A reminder of how cocky the Roosters were back in March.

Oh dear, oh dear, oh dear. And our lawyers seemed so confident.

“The wheels of justice turn slowly, but grind exceedingly fine”. These type of judgements breathe fresh air into our justice system and shows not all is messed up. Chutiya Baimaan, it’s all over for you now. There are many more charges coming as detailed in Fijileaks investigations and picked up by FICAC. You will pay for letting down a society who helped you win the elections. Orange uniform is waiting ….
Please. Innocent until proven guilty.
Bastard Richie Richie liked to boast about his wealth while screwing the poor public with that recommendation to increase VAT to 15%. Karma has caught up with him and the Dogla from Dreketi, Baiman. They both thought they had it made. Could not wait to use their positions for personal benefit and for Richard’s law firm, Munro Leys client, Fiji Water, with the undeserved 7 year tax holiday. Baiman abused his powers as finance minister by nepotistic appointment of Richard Naidu as fiscal review committee chairman to facilitate these two decisions. He also appointed Kirti Patel, even though she had no qualifications. Maybe she’s qualified in other ways that only Baiman knows. Now suffer the curse of the resource owners and the public of Fiji. The question is why hasn’t finance minister removed Richard yet. Grow some balls, Emanuel.

POTE.
Eds note: Pote – The feeling of embarrassment after being made to look like an idiot or being caught in one’s own mistake, foolishness or lie.
POTE!! A good deal of the Judiciary, Lawyers, Police and Government would qualify for that moniker.
Time for some gulgula n sweet red tea eh Garam Graham mate. The sidelines are getting interesting.
Pote indeed. It’s time for the celebrity ‘dream team’ lawyers to get potted to lick each other’s wounded egos.
The dream team’s dream is dead, killed by a bullish judge no less. Brutal.
Are we going to have a public holiday when one of the biggest liars goes to Naboro? (For legal reasons, name not mentioned)
