# “EVERY SINNER HAS A FUTURE”. SITIVENI RABUKA POISED TO SAVE LYNDA TABUYA. AGAIN

With one pornographic nude video on thousands of Fijian phones and reportedly two more in existence but yet to publicly surface, the Prime Minister has given his strongest indication yet that he intends to keep Lynda Tabuya in the People’s Alliance and will not expel her from the Party and the parliament.

In an interview with The Australian newspaper published today, the following is what Sitiveni Rabuka had to say about the scandal-prone ex-Minister for Bonking and Weed and notorious sex kitten from Room 233, who has again fouled her patch politically by parading her “bush” and butt when she is chair of the government’s Task Force on Pornography.

——————-

With apologies to Oscar Wilde, Lynda Tabuya has a past alright and she is definitely no saint. But the Prime Minister’s comment that “every sinner has a future” indicates that the current deliberations within the PAP over Tabuya’s future are a case of simply going through the motions.

Just as Sitiveni Rabuka saved her ministerial position from the “drug and illicit sex” scandal involving her fellow minister, Aseri Radrodro, in August 2023, he intends to ignore those in the PAP calling for her expulsion for her chronic inability to keep her knickers on and retain her in the Party.

It threatens a major split in the People’s Alliance, which its General Secretary Sila Balawa, says is evenly divided between those who insist that Lynda Tabuya be cut loose for again bringing the Party into disrepute and those who argue that the PAP needs her electoral support for the 2026 election.

Now, the Prime Minister appears to be indicating that he will again make a “Captain’s call” on whether Tabuya goes or stays. And that call is that “every sinner has a future”. Maybe. But does the People’s Alliance have a future with pornographic videos of its pin-up candidate in circulation in the election lead-up and rampant speculation over the Prime Minister’s own sexual history with Lynda Tabuya? We shall see.

The Fiji Times reports this morning that Lynda Tabuya is to make another appearance before Party leaders today to argue her case. But now that we know that the Prime Minister has brushed off her notorious video as a “human foible”, expect an announcement that the Queen of Tarts isn’t going to be dethroned. And then watch the fireworks as those PAP members who have had enough of her antics resign from the party and leave the PAP to its moral turpitude and squalor.

Now today’s story in The Australian in which the Prime Minister utters the immortal “every sinner has a future” line and brushes off the video scandal as a “human foible”.

There’s a great deal more in the interview with The Australian‘s Stephen Rice covering climate change policy in the region and relations with the Chinese, as well as Rabuka replying “inshallah” to a question about whether he will contest next year’s election.

Rabuka – from philanderer to philosopher. What a joke. Senile and stupid. Big ego, small brain. Unfit to be the PM.

Just like Caligula, Rabuka’s government is the modern day version of that style of rule – plenty of debauchery, corruption and scandals.

Any other government in the world with a normal PM would have been asking ministers to stand down, resign or even ask the whole government be dismissed, and elections be called. Not the iTaukei slanted Fijian government. Everyone is busy with their fingers in many pies and holes.

Now why did Australia not raise the issue that their sponsored trip of Lynda and Aseri consisted of a sex drugs binge in a hotel in one of their beautiful cities.
It was a trip that was fully funded by Australian taxpayers anyway. The pornstar should also publicly apologize to the Australians as well.

Green clarity? It’s as clear as mud, with all parties lacking integrity. BS all around.
It would take someone of your analytical and writing ability GD to cut through it all, though it would attract criticism for your promotion of previous policies.

Bottom line (no pun intended about the national disgrace of LT), Rabuka may be ‘someone we can talk to’, but the record shows he cannot be trusted. The average person on the street in Fiji will tell you this. Frank Bainimarama for all his faults remains popular with them because, as they say, ‘he would actually do something’ (to fix the many problems).

Back story is Australia is losing the contest for influence in the islands because an bandaid approach while they take their best people. China on the other hand appears to have longer-term plans with people on the ground, investing in property and making productive use of the land for the benefit… of?…them or the country? Under British endorsement, Aussies did this in the 19th and early 20th centuries for mutual benefit, but are now long gone.

Fiji may be an ‘independent’ nation, but if the last 50 years or so tells us anything, it is that the country cannot go it alone. Fiji needs genuine allies with their sleeves rolled up. Not this self-interested spin, giving with one hand and taking too much with the other.

Anarchy is just around the corner. It is indeed a very sad state of affairs.

The audacity of the PM to say that every sinner deserves a second chance.
If he knows what he’s talking about, (using an event from the Holy Scriptures to show up Rabuka’s foolishness) then a sinner who is truly and genuinely repentant, must be willing to front up with restitution; Zacchaeus said he would give back 4 times more than what he had stolen.
So, moral of the story is, if Lynda is genuinely remorseful, than she has to front up with some kind of restitution.

In my opinion, the most genuine form of restitution for her would be to resign from public life, and give the citizens of this country who she has ripped off and made a fool of, well deserved relief. Otherwise everything else coming from her and her alleged one time time boy friend, Rabuka, would be nothing else than a con.

Hon J Usamate very pertinently described the PAP led coalition’s reasoning for their failures as a complete hogwash! Spot on!
All Rabuka is concerned with is his own political ambitions and his pockets.
He has made his position known by surrounding himself with cronies who have no integrity or common decency. This whole rotten cabal must be eliminated from the political landscape in 2026.

His interview with The Australian reveals his lack of understanding of how a proper functioning democracy works. He is shaming Fiji on the international stage, big time!!!

Every sinner has a future. I’m sure the late Rev Davis would agree. And Rabuka is banking on the good work of the late Rev Davis and all the talatalas that the majority of the electorate would agree.

New age politics in play. Just look at the US, the supposed pillar of democracy.

As a matter of fact, my late father would be horrified, as is anyone with any sense of proper conduct in public life.

These people are supposed to be setting higher standards, not lowering them. The fish in Fiji is rotting from the head down. And the country’s current leaders have a great deal to answer for when it comes to the collapse of standards in the community as a whole.

How can the head of the Anti-Pornography Task Force have any credibility at all when she makes pornographic videos in her spare time? And with men other than her husband? The People’s Alliance should hang its collective head in shame.

If Rabuka is leaning towards keeping Lynda in the party for his political survival, then why is he fooling the public with the PAP management process. If he has already made up his mind, then tell the people of Fiji that he can’t be in politics without Lynda?

Why is he creating a smokescreen? He doesn’t realise that if he decides to keep her, he will be wiped out in the next election. He shouldn’t forget that he has 8 or 9 ministers under investigation, still continuing in their jobs.

They all should have been suspended until their investigations were completed.Instead, they brought in Malimali to close their files. This, in itself, is a big stigma and embarrassment to Rabuka’s leadership.

Unsurprising response from Rabuka as the con-artist himself stands on very flimsy, shaky grounds – morally.

Remember how he was dithering about (that pretense hand wringing) re Melbourne Room 233 sex scandal involving his two ministers – on what to do with Linda?

When she went public with her infamous wail: “It’s Not Fair”, old wrinkly balls quickly caved in, like the COWARD that I’ve always suspected that he is..

And now… he’s making excuses for the both of them and their sordid pasts whilst holding public office. Esa ra kawa beka ga ni tamata kaisi..

Well, the world now sees them both for the naked emperors that they are. Disgusting!🤮

About Grubsheet

Graham Davis
Grubsheet Feejee is the blogsite of Graham Davis, an award-winning journalist turned communications consultant who was the Fijian Government’s principal communications advisor for six years from 2012 to 2018 and continued to work on Fiji’s global climate and oceans campaign up until the end of the decade.

Fiji-born to missionary parents and a dual Fijian-Australian national, Graham spent four decades in the international media before returning to Fiji to work full time in 2012. He reported from many parts of the world for the BBC, ABC, SBS, the Nine and Seven Networks and Sky News and wrote for a range of newspapers and magazines in Australia, New Zealand and Fiji.

Graham launched Grubsheet Feejee in 2011 and suspended writing for it after the Fijian election of 2014, by which time he was working at the heart of government. But the website continued to attract hits as a background resource on events in Fiji in the transition back to parliamentary democracy.

Grubsheet relaunches in 2020 at one of the most critical times in Fijian history, with the nation reeling from the Covid-19 crisis and Frank Bainimarama’s government shouldering the twin burdens of incumbency and economic disintegration.

Grubsheet’s sole agenda is the national interest; the strengthening of Fiji’s ties with the democracies; upholding equal rights for all citizens; government that is genuinely transparent and free of corruption and nepotism; and upholding Fiji’s service to the world in climate and oceans advocacy and UN Peacekeeping.
