# GOD HELP US, FIJI. THIS IS THE QUALITY OF OUR LEADERSHIP

Posted on September 8, 2025 18 Comments

So after having put his attendance at the Pacific Islands Forum meeting in Honiara in doubt, the lame Prime Minister arrives in the Solomons capital after all, with his “Minister for Bullsh*t, Bonking and Weed” in tow.

What on earth was all the bullsh*t about last week of having an “important matter” to discuss with the President about the Ashton-Lewis Supreme Court Commission of Inquiry? (see below)

Sitiveni Rabuka doesn’t say and the supine mainstream media doesn’t ask. It’s as if it didn’t happen and the whole shabby caravanserai moves on. Next stop, Jerusalem.

It really is incredible – Fiji represented in the region and the world by the coup-maker of 1987 who jettisoned an elected government and the monarchy without asking anyone what they thought about that yet insists that the Fijian people must have a say on changes to the Constitution.

And accompanied by the strumpet who Rabuka sacked as deputy leader of the PAP for the “sex and illicit drug scandal” in Room 233 and sacked as minister for women and children for making a pornographic video when she was chair of the government’s Anti-Porn Task Force but is now back in the cabinet after reportedly giving the Prime Minister a $150,000 gold Rolex watch.

You couldn’t script this except as a passage of fiction in a novel about some corrupt African dictator yet this is the reality in today’s Fiji under a government that promised better governance but has delivered infinitely worse.

What is Lynda Tabuya carrying in that bag that she won’t let anyone carry for her? A stash of “weed” brought with her on her diplomatic passport that prevents anyone from checking her bags?

You can bet that Tabuya will be a prime target of the “Five Eyes” intelligence services during the PIF, not only for her drug taking and scandalous licentiousness but her close ties to the Chinese, who have given her cash for her pet projects in Kadavu, bypassing the normal channels for dispensing aid.

That headline photo is a metaphor for the sorry state of the nation – a physical and moral cripple as Prime Minister, accompanied by his courtesan, illicit drug taker, proven liar and multi-millionaire who fleeced American creditors of more than $F100-million and now has Fiji’s leader by the proverbial “short and curlies”.

Disgraceful.

—————–

What happened to this? Yep. Gone the way of every other distraction.

And why Lynda Tabuya is a prime target for the intelligence services who are all over the PIF like a rash.

As Victor Lal writes, she serves no useful purpose but merely a cheap ornament on the PM’s arm

She’s just an opportunistic political tourist.

As if the Rolex wasn’t enough, Rabuka needs a female human ornament to make him feel and look good. He is, after all, feeble of mind and weak in body.

Taxpayers are paying the cost of a useless ornament and political tourism.

It’s criminal, greedy and selfish considering the level of poverty in Fiji.

Meanwhile, where is our erstwhile finance minister Baiman Prasad in all this? Busy racking up his own frequent flyer points, no doubt.

This government is nothing but a parasite sucking the blood out of one country and our poor, suffering citizens.

Who is bearing the cost of the Israel junket? Some are saying it’s the host country. And the Fiji Airways saga leaves one scratching the head. The only PM in the world with not an ounce of shame.

PM needs to go and register Fiji’s unhappiness at China forcing PM Manele of Solomons not to include Taiwan in the talks. The spirit of ‘talanoa’ established by Ratu Mara needs to be maintained.

The refreshing candid views coming out of Honiara from the various NGO meetings should already be a signal to the ‘Ocean of Peace’ crusade, in case Rabuka wants to take credit. The issue of oceans has been championed by the smaller Pacific states for a very long time and can also be credited with the 2050 Strategy for the Blue Pacific.

Rabuka, the Johnny come late is trying to claim credit for this. The Leaders have been too polite and diplomatic to point out to Rabuka the obvious, that is the concept is not new to them. It may be new to Rabuka who has clearly been out of his depth and the scene to appreciate how the issues have evolved over the last 2 decades.

His proposed Israel mission will be under intense scrutiny. The Pacific Council of Churches (PCC) has condemned Israel’s planned “goodwill” mission to the Pacific, warning that Pacific nations cannot promote peace while engaging with a
government accused of genocide in Gaza. Bhagwan went onto say ““We cannot talk about West Papua, Kanaky and other places, then allow Palestine and Gaza to go unanswered. The PCC is very concerned about the narratives around Zionism being pushed to gain political traction in the Pacific. It is wrong in theology — theology is being twisted for political purposes”.

James Bhagwan went onto say it undermines the Pacific’s call for peace. “If we are gathering at the time talking about Ocean of Peace, we cannot talk about peace in our region and then engage and support those who wage war and harm others. This is a very important crossroads for the Pacific.”

Fiji Council of Social Services (FCOSS) CEO Vani Catanasiga also raised concerns over Fiji’s plan to open an embassy in Jerusalem.

Pacific Women Mediators Network representative Sharon Bhagwan Rolls also tied the Ocean of Peace to deeper issues of justice. “In terms of the context of the Ocean of Peace – it’s demilitarised, it’s denuclearised, and it’s decolonised.” “You can’t have an Ocean of Peace if we still have militarisation, if nuclear waste continues to flow, or if the nuclear fallout and the impacts have not been resolved. Decolonisation also means going beyond political independence.”

The Pacific Regional Non-Governmental Organisations (PRNGOs) Alliance called on Leaders to recommit to “people-centred, rights-based, and inclusive regionalism” that confronts militarisation, exploitation, and shrinking civic space.

Perhaps it will be a baptism of fire for Rabuka, Tabuya and the blatantly exclusive delegation.

Great to hear the wonderful James Bhagwan’s position! Also, Jiaoji Savou has let loose on the Israeli murderers today with both barrels. Pity the fundamentalist nuts aren’t educated enough to grow up, in most cases.

There will never be any peace in Gaza since the goal of Hamas is the total obliteration of Israel – at any cost.

All the world’s Muslims want to see Israel wiped of the map. They will not rest until this is achieved. There will never be an end to this religious war.

The most famous antisemitic hadith is the apocalyptic hadith about killing Jews.

“Allah’s Messenger said, “The Hour will not be established until you fight with the Jews, and the stone behind which a Jew will be hiding will say. ‘O Muslim! There is a Jew hiding behind me, so kill him.’” (Sahih Bukhari 4:52:177).

Hamas is even willing to put civilians women and children included in the direct line of fire to achieve this prophecy.

After Israel it’s India’s turn and so on so forth.

F**k with Islam at your own Po!

I think you are missing the point. It is about standing up for injustice wherever it occurs and not rewarding any aggressor.

That’s what Rabuka and his unreformed Magdalen are doing by standing shoulder to shoulder with Netanyahu at the present time.

Not every Fijian is “with Israel” given its conduct towards the Palestinians, just as no-one endorses the murderous conduct of Hamas. So good on James Baghwan, Jioji Savou and the rest for speaking out against the Prime Minister’s visit at this time.

Father of Coups Dumps Wife, Jets Off with Lynda on Taxpayer’s Tab

Rabuka again shows that hypocrisy runs deep in his veins.

Shamelessly dumped wife and handpicked Lynda Tabuya as for a lavish taxpayer-funded trip to Israel.

This is not about diplomacy. It is about chalao-ing Lynda while pocketing $3,300 per day allowance.

At a time when hospitals are short of medicine, schools crying for resources, and Fijians struggle to survive, Rabuka has turned taxpayers’ money into his personal holiday fund.

The so-called “man of sacrifice” is nothing more than a master of indulgence.

While his wife remains at home, then he prances abroad with his favourite minister, making a mockery of taxpayers.

This trip is not about serving Fiji. It is a circus act where the old horse plays statesman while enjoying luxury perks.

For Rabuka, power has never been about principle, only about self-interest.

Rabuka, in my view, lacks a very basic level of decency, competency and integrity. He has demonstrated time and again that he is not fit for the Office of the Prime Minister.

FICAC should make inquiries in the public interest about the acquisition of a Gold Rolex watch by Rabuka. Who gave the watch, what favours if any Rabuka granted to the giver, did Rabuka abuse the powers of his office to receive such an expensive gift etc etc. It may well be a gift from someone with no strings attached, in which case, the inquiry will clear him.

Inia Seruiratu is a failure as the Leader of Opposition. Any one of Jone Usumate, Premila Kumar or Ketan Lal would be an improvement over Inia.

Q: Will the Police Commissioner be concerned and assign his officers to check on people like Noa Viriviri who – in response to Jonaji Taoba on the Government’s FB release about the new embassy – champions Israel as “more like best country to teach us how to kill Indians and others in Fiji”?

A: I don’t think so. Sadly, his inaction will instill more fear especially with the more vulnerable segments of the vulagi community.

And that will be contradictory to the PM’s follow-on FB assurances below in relation to his “Ocean of Peace” crusade for the Pacific in Honiara.

“Peace is not only the absence of war but the assurance that families everywhere can live without fear.

The decision to open our Embassy in Jerusalem was made by the Government of Fiji as a sovereign state, not driven by religious or external pressures. Fiji will always stand for peace, justice, and human dignity.”

Fiji is at risk…..there may be economic sanctions, development assistance sanctions including grants, Sports, Education, Migrant worker arrangement, medical, budget support, travel bans imposed on politicians, loans….etc.
How irresponsible can this government be how can they risk the lives of Fijians for the benefit of a religious group…..this decision could have potential repercussions.. from severe sanctions against Fiji for supporting a criminal state where the Israeli PM has an arrest warrant out for Genocide.

The world has finally woken to the atrocities that have been committed by Israel, including genocide obstruction of humanitarian aid, alongside targeted attacks and killing of civilians and aid workers, despite repeated UN appeals, binding orders from the International Court of Justice and resolutions of the Security Council, Israel is intentionally causing death, starvation and serious injury, using starvation as a method of war and inflicting collective punishment on the Palestinian population.
Several Nations have cut diplomatic ties and have put in place sanctions including boycotts.

Sitiveni has exposed the lives of all Fijians to potential unmitigated risk that sanctions may bring,
Has he even thought about the welfare of Fijians. What may transpire next is a flood of Israeli soldiers coming for rnr, they are being kicked out of other countries…the backlash from the international community will be unforgiving should this happen.
Fiji will lose its friendly credence internationally as a supporter of genocide.

On possible sanctions, noteworthy are those nations (our partners including Vuvale) that have announced plans to recognize Palestine as a state later this very month at the UN General Assembly namely, Australia, France and Malta. In addition, Belgium, Canada, and the UK will do so too subject to certain conditions. More could be joining the queue.

A monumental September then – Embassy opening coinciding with State recognition.

It’s not rocket science to figure out that it’s not only the Rolex that Lynda has given to Rabuka. She gives him a good f**k too that’s keeping him feeling young and in love!

Why else would he need to take her around with him? They don’t care. It has to be sex! The oldest trick in the book by the Bonking slut!

About Grubsheet

Graham Davis
Grubsheet Feejee is the blogsite of Graham Davis, an award-winning journalist turned communications consultant who was the Fijian Government’s principal communications advisor for six years from 2012 to 2018 and continued to work on Fiji’s global climate and oceans campaign up until the end of the decade.

Fiji-born to missionary parents and a dual Fijian-Australian national, Graham spent four decades in the international media before returning to Fiji to work full time in 2012. He reported from many parts of the world for the BBC, ABC, SBS, the Nine and Seven Networks and Sky News and wrote for a range of newspapers and magazines in Australia, New Zealand and Fiji.

Graham launched Grubsheet Feejee in 2011 and suspended writing for it after the Fijian election of 2014, by which time he was working at the heart of government. But the website continued to attract hits as a background resource on events in Fiji in the transition back to parliamentary democracy.

Grubsheet relaunches in 2020 at one of the most critical times in Fijian history, with the nation reeling from the Covid-19 crisis and Frank Bainimarama’s government shouldering the twin burdens of incumbency and economic disintegration.

Grubsheet’s sole agenda is the national interest; the strengthening of Fiji’s ties with the democracies; upholding equal rights for all citizens; government that is genuinely transparent and free of corruption and nepotism; and upholding Fiji’s service to the world in climate and oceans advocacy and UN Peacekeeping.
