    Enjoy your travels, GD.

Is there a Christian leader in Fiji who can broadcast the call (per Pastor Dr Daniel Nalliah) “If My people will rise up and be proactive, they will stop the disaster which is coming on the land. But if My people sit back, relax and be reactive they will pay a heavy price to take back their land spiritually.” “He then spoke to me through (The Bible) 2 Chr. 7:14 and said, Gather my people across the land together and tell them to humble themselves, repent, pray and seek my face in one accord, then I will heal their land.” ?

Are you traveling by a Tongan navy vessel, by any chance? Kadavu is not a good place to birth. They’ll be thinking it’s a drug export boat by mistake.

That means that we have political stability, that we have consistency in policy, that we have a very consultative, transparent and accountable approach.”

These are the words of current Finance minister in the Fiji Sun.

    Mr Prasad,

    1. Political stability means making decisions that are conducive to stability. Not against it. Statements that do not undermine the very foundation of a democracy. Decisions and actions that portray your position that contribute and complement political stability.

    2. Consistency in policy means you adhere to what you have stated to gain government, and also adhere to the policy whilst in government. Don’t chop and change like Kamala Harris just to suit whatever the narrative is of the day or season.

    3. Consultative, transparent, and accountable means – talk, communicate, sound out, seek advice, take counsel, involve the electorate who got you into government in the first instance. Don’t just talk amongst yourselves and then ram through what you think will benefit you guys instead of the nation and its people. Communication that is honest!

    4. Transparent is to be a clear glass. No hidden agenda, no lies, no cover ups, no eye winks, no favouritism, in other words, walk the talk!

    5. Accountable is to never be afraid of coming under scrutiny. No hiding behind lawyers and con artists. No hiding the real facts, it means to anddress and deal with skeletons in the closet. Yes, when you chose public office, everything that related to you became public Mr Prasad. Accountable for you Mr Prasad is what you think you should hide. No! Accountable means to let the charges against that have been filed proceed, let the appropriate investigations take its course, and let the courts decide your innocence or to the contrary.

Mr Prasad, you are a shame and hypocrite on all these points you have publicly made. You say them because you know that your equally hypocritical cohorts in this government will nod in agreement. You say this because you know that your time is limited. The law will catch with you either before you are booted out by Rabuka, or, whenever a legal and law abiding FICAC Commissioner is installed. Enjoy your time in the limelight of lies and deceit Mr Prasad. You can not fool all of the people all of the time!

Stop wil the gender misogyny. And you are comparing apples and oranges. Biamaan is no Kamala Harris. Stick to Fijian matters. Do not try to equate Harris’s mixed heritage with Baimaan.

Compare Baimaan’s lack of ethics, integrity, shame, character, etc., to SLR, Santa Clause Temo, Lin Dah, the ag, Kapotani Kalavata, Marimari ficac, and too many others in Fiji.

There is plenty of material right here.

There is no way in hell one can compare Fiji to a super power. We are worlds apart.

Where is the letter? This is the question Prime.

Minister Sitiveni Rabuka has put to the Constitutional Offices Commission secretariat when asked about the issues surrounding the appointment of Fiji Independent Commission Against Corruption (FICAC) Commissioner Barbara Malimali.

He said COC had not seen Ms Malimali’s letter of resignation as chair of Electoral Commission of Fiji.

The circus continues. The clowns are at play, beware Fiji lest you stop laughing.

Words like Transparency, accountability, collaboration, consultative , governance etc and the best of them all STAKEHOLDERS!
These are words you have to use in University academic papers to impress and pass your course as if you know what you are talking about. They then flow into the speeches written in govt and useless NGO seminars and conferences and management presentations.
These and other cliches of no real practical use are useful tools of PR spin doctors and Comms specialists. I’d be surprised if many of those that use these know what they mean…or ever see any practical application.
But they impress an impressionable voter bloc in Fiji ..vinaka Sir, vinaka Minister.

We can’t expect anything including justice or justification from a pretender PM who knows what’s going on yet is always in denial in public. However, whenever the PM’s lies are caught seeks forgiveness.

Happy holidays GD. A break is important to recuperate as the human body needs to rest occasionally to get energized.

Pramesh ‘Masi Polo’ Sharma strikes back:

“ I want to address a troubling trend I’ve noticed recently: some individuals are hiding behind fake profiles, taking cheap shots at those of us who are genuinely trying to make a positive impact through social media. Their aim seems to be to undermine and discredit, rather than engage in meaningful dialogue.

To those who find amusement in spreading misinformation and making baseless attacks from behind anonymous accounts: your actions are both cowardly and unproductive. It’s clear that you lack the courage to confront issues openly and honestly.

Here’s my response: I will not be deterred by your attempts to create discord. I choose to focus on the positive work and constructive conversations that truly matter. Your negativity will not derail our progress or dampen our enthusiasm.

Remember, hiding behind fake profiles is not a sign of strength or intelligence; it’s a sign of insecurity and cowardness. I encourage you to engage openly if you have concerns or criticisms. We’re always wanting to address issues constructively and objectively, not to be bogged down by shadowy attacks.

Let’s keep the conversation productive and respectful. You only reflect yourself and your upbringing on what you posts through a fake profile.

Trust you sleep well at night…..at least I know I do!! 💤🛌🥱”

About Grubsheet

Graham Davis
Grubsheet Feejee is the blogsite of Graham Davis, an award-winning journalist turned communications consultant who was the Fijian Government’s principal communications advisor for six years from 2012 to 2018 and continued to work on Fiji’s global climate and oceans campaign up until the end of the decade.

Fiji-born to missionary parents and a dual Fijian-Australian national, Graham spent four decades in the international media before returning to Fiji to work full time in 2012. He reported from many parts of the world for the BBC, ABC, SBS, the Nine and Seven Networks and Sky News and wrote for a range of newspapers and magazines in Australia, New Zealand and Fiji.

Graham launched Grubsheet Feejee in 2011 and suspended writing for it after the Fijian election of 2014, by which time he was working at the heart of government. But the website continued to attract hits as a background resource on events in Fiji in the transition back to parliamentary democracy.

Grubsheet relaunches in 2020 at one of the most critical times in Fijian history, with the nation reeling from the Covid-19 crisis and Frank Bainimarama’s government shouldering the twin burdens of incumbency and economic disintegration.

Grubsheet’s sole agenda is the national interest; the strengthening of Fiji’s ties with the democracies; upholding equal rights for all citizens; government that is genuinely transparent and free of corruption and nepotism; and upholding Fiji’s service to the world in climate and oceans advocacy and UN Peacekeeping.
