The Prime Minister is suddenly looking a shadow of his former self and the antithesis of a virile, commanding national leader.
And in response to a reader request for my favourite photo of the Pedophile President on his parambulations around Europe and the Gulf, here he is – stick in hand like his protégé, the Prime Minister – unable to cobo to the real Tui Viti, His Majesty King Charles III, whose mother, the Ranadi ni Viti, was unceremoniously dumped by Sitiveni Rabuka in 1987 without any of us being consulted.
Both Prime Minister and President are metaphors for the state of the nation as a whole – doddering, unable to stand on their own two feet unaided, increasingly out of touch and traveling the world at taxpayer’s expense earning huge allowances while more than half their subjects live below the poverty line.
It’s time for them both to return to Cakaudrove with their gold Rolexes and other spoils of office and leave the nation in better hands.
God Save the King. God help us, Fiji.

Well I can assure you I’ve been praying hard for God to remove this scum from the earth for all the atrocities he has committed against the minorities.
The day this MF dies will be a day of celebration.
The man who has inflicted so much bad can’t go peacefully or else God’s teachings will go to waste…karma is catching up and always wins.
Fijian funerals are expensive affairs so my bet is the bloke’s hoping to die in office so he gets a state funded funeral.
Do not be so daft. The man has a cause and has fought valiantly with vigour. The titoko makes him quite the dashing statesman.
He won’t be dashing anywhere, judging from this photo. A body in as much decline now as his mind.
Looks like his Titatium knee prosthesis made and Fitted in India is giving way, if you happened to see his recent india trip interview with Palki Sharma- where he said that his artificial knees will last ‘ lifelong’ – doesn’t seem like it after all the limping and support with walking cranes, I hope lifelong in this context means a few months at the most…..
He’ll make it to the finish line for sure-the question is before or after 2026. Me thinks the finish line is now nearer than ever.
Some have fire crackers in reserve at the ready. The diaspora never forgets why they were forced abroad.
To say these minorities that were direct victims of his cruelty are pleased would be the understatement of the year. Tick tok…
The only thing dashing is his soul towards HELL where I await him.
Let’s put it this way, satanyahu.
Guaranteed the Tevoro’s titanium prosthetic knees will outlive him so your wait is not long. You can use his titoko to welcome him. 🙃
Quite clearly the worst PM in Fiji’s history. Just like his manservant Baiman was the worst DPM and finance minister. Just like Bastard Baiman is toast, so will be Rolex Rabuka as karma leaves no one behind.
Greedy, power hungry, shallow no vision, no class, no ethics, no morals no ideas and no sense of fair play. Just like to strut around in suits, sulus and land cruisers. Just full of talk. Trying to manipulate everything, from appointments to elections. A complete waste of time. The ultimate ulukai of a PM. Only in Fiji.
He is a hero for some !
Such vitriol is not good for anyone.
Ease off folks
We all will answer for our deeds in one way or another.
Some of us make peace and are sincere, others can’t help but bite the hand that feeds
For the minority communities, I suggest we look ahead and let go of the past
Build a life for the next generation and move on
There is more to life than churning the past and letting it consume us
Minority communities?
Except for the strident Indo Fijians other minority groups in Fiji (kai loma, kai Rabi, kai Kioa, kai Jaina, kai Solomoni, kai Tonga etc) do tend to empathise with the i’taukei.
Rolex Rambo might not be their man but the hope is that someone else will rise in his place.
Anonymous Bosolevu, we know kai this and kai that and lotuma and no fans of the Indo community. We are not stupid.
The reason -other than dislike of a people that don’t look like them- is simple.
The kai this and that and lotuman destitutes hitch their wagons with the itaukei is simply benefit from the same handout as the destitute itaukei. Good for them.
It’s an open secret many of these other kai communities benefit from several mulit-ethnic based government programs–taking from the Indo meager government benefits too.
Besides, the kai this and that are smart enough to know there is no point siding with the ‘vulagi’ just to be hated on and be vilified even more as the Indos are.
We get it. It’s cool. We try to forge ahead regardless.
Our only hope and prayer is to be left alone to do our thing peacefully with the daily dose of harassment, aggressions, road rage assaults and other violence.
Try to walk a mile in the Indo-Fijians shoe one day in this new Ramkuba era to see the difference.
My sincere apologies for calling Indo Fijians, minorities.
I suppose in some quarters we are not even humans , so be it.
Reading the feedback I am still pained to see the harassment, name calling, bullying etc continues today by the post 87 generation.
I recall the gist of what Pastor Martin Niemoller said and extrapolate it to Fiji.
First they came for the Indo Fijians and I said nothing because I was not Indo Fijian.
Then they came for the intellectuals and I said nothing, as I was no intellectual!
Then they came for the Trade Unionist’s and I said nothing as I did not agree with them !
Then they came for the others who disagreed and I still did not object!
Then they came for me and there was no one left to speak for me.
The productive tax base has shrunk by some 100K in the last 3 years and Fiji survives on grants, loans and remittances but racism has clouded judgements and the gullible country keeps faith in failed politicians.
Wonder if those in power are so blinded by vested interests that they care not what legacy is being left behind for next generation?
It is painful to see and endure as we all continue to have an affinity and love for Fiji even if it is not reciprocated.
And herein lies the problem with Fiji. Apathetic citizens always willing to make excuses, defend, and give a pass to non-performing leaders. If you hold leaders to poor and low standards, what do you get in return? Poor and low standard country.
We pay these effing leaders an arm and a leg, including fat salaries, pension for life, overseas trips with hefty allowances and landcruisers with drivers to whisk around in. We look after them in every way. These so called leaders enjoy life while our overburdened tax payers struggle. But if we try to hold these leeches accountable and call out non-performance, some sentimental goody two shoes leaps to their defence.
You should sing that line to the Indian women and men who were brutalised and sexually assaulted in 87.
Easy for some to say “let go of the past” when that bloke is directly responsible for the hurt and suffering still lingering in Fiji today.
Except this devil is NOT letting go of the past — same old evil, racism, bigotry treachery, lies, ethnic purging, and race-based appointees in every sphere of government.
What is there for the minorities to ‘let go?’
Please take the time to try to speak with any Indo-Fijian family or home in urban housing areas in the Suva -Nausori corridor for a bit of reality on the ground.
The daily verbal abuse, harassment , bullying, home invasions, willful trespassing, damaging property and abject police responses let alone prosecution and protection, and are but a few of the indignities suffered in everyday living for the Indo-Fijian families.
Perhaps a better proposal might be ‘live and let live’ instead of ‘let it go.’
May God have mercy on his wretched soul, for I sure have none.
You obviously are not enlightened enough.
If you call torturing innocent civilian minorities just because they are of ethnic Indian backgrounds as heroism then you’re just as intellectually impotent as your Master.
What can the minorities possibly look forward to apart from being the cash cow for the coupist and rapist so that he can fill his pockets.
The minorities are going to definitely move on…moving to better opportunities overseas. Whilst the “majority” will remain behind – because you do need to keep the prison system ongoing with their numbers. And let’s not forget they are dying out themselves through HIV and their upcoming generations are injecting and inhaling themselves to death through drugs.
So whilst the minorities are moving on…the majority are heading towards self destruction and death…and an upcoming generation not to look forward to.
I am no Fan of the PM.
Never have been.
However you miss my point.
To the likes of Buta,Tora,Isikia Savua ,Ravuvu ,Kububola et al he was a hero at the time
Our fellow Indo Fijians are responsible for making him PM and keeping him in power
Even now
Perhaps your anger is misdirected
Let’s not get personal please
Karma catches up someday.
Even Hitler couldn’t take it anymore.
I suggest we don’t get consumed by things we have no control over and let nature take its course
Coalition MPs note. Thats workplace harrassment and bullying. Don’t flog the dead horse anymore.
Rabuka is on his final earthly journey . Many have predicted this will be last month counting because of ” I’m not advise/I’m not aware of it” . Totally senile PM. May his soul rest peacefully. Our local Porn queen 👸 is ready to take over as Fijian First PM promising Aseri Radrodro as DPM. TIME ⏲️ IS SLOWLY 🐌 CLICKING ON ON SENILE GRAVEYARD BOUND MR RABUKA.
The PM and PAP are physically dead. No meat left , ONLY CRUMBLES. Hopefully manoa perjury criminals and wannabe PM SAVES FIJI. ⏲️ Time is running away unexpectedly and showing true criminals faces.
I read with interest of all comments about SLR.
All about to do of his actions in last 30 years or so.
Some cursing and some praising.
Remember, no one runs away from karma.
Everyone will pay for their actions here on earth before they die.
Some will shi%%^t in pants or some would lie in bed with pain for months or years.
If he or she hasn’t done enough then his generation will pay or his wrong doings on his or hers behalf .
That’s how you pay back.
Everything happens here on earth.
Nothing happens in hell or heaven .
No one has seen what it’s like or even as such things exist.
All stories are imaginary.
So,please don’t curse anyone, he will definitely pay for his deeds.
May not be tomorrow but one day.
For Siti, his days are numbered.
Graham, kerekere bibi, what about a matching shot too of his chief at the Vatican or in Dublin, London or elsewhere in Europe.
That will be really telling to the electorate, especially the youth.
They continually try to squeeze out the minorities yet end up in India for a spare knee, hip and so on.
With pleasure. I have just added my favourite photo from the whole trip. Hope you enjoy it. Or maybe “enjoy” isn’t quite the world under the circumstances.
Vinaka, Graham. A picture is indeed worth a thousand words. Best that they retire (ideally ASAP), rest and enjoy their remaining sunset years. We want to avoid the possibility of two state funerals in quick succession since, after all, the state is broke as the Vulagi-driven tax base is known to be eroding fast.
Graham, what about a write up on the globe trotting president holiday
New York City Mayor-elect Mamdani has shown that not only can youth candidates but also youth voters can bring about change. Especially, when senior citizens are in charge.
So those photos of the President and PM should inspire the youthful segment of the Fijian electorate. A sure positive sign is the absence of youth leaders and representatives at the recent PAP forum and somehow, even the Minister for Youth was missing too that day.
Just to say that all dictators, invaders, coup makers all will die one day, Dick Cheney died so will Rabuka.
Hey, at least Cheney was a great shot when pheasant hunting. And a skilled master of ‘enhanced interrogation.’
However, can’t argue that he’s dead.
Very soon he will be same height as that Prado side window and then he will be able to look at his wicked, evil face clearly. I wonder if God ever spoke to him again ie after 1987.
As far as the President is concerned he was last seen in Abu Dhabi. Why on earth is he roaming around ?
I live in Australia but will visit Fiji just to be part of the celebration when this dog hits the grave.
Hell awaits him for eternity.
Alls I know there will be a snaking long ass line to piss on his grave.
Self Loving Repugnant deserves a slow and painful death methinks.
Just like the slow and painful death the coconut republic is dying because of him.
The top three items in Fijivillage’s 1pm news bulletin today. All we can say is, Vina’a va’alevu Siti.
1. 22 people, including 4 juveniles, have been charged with 34 counts of sexual offences in October this year.
2. A police officer who was found with over 600 grams of marijuana on 7th February this year has admitted in court today that he was selling drugs.
3. The Lami Town Council worker who was selling marijuana to buy his beer has been sentenced to 1 year imprisonment by the Suva Magistrates Court.
Well may you say God Save the King. Because nothing will save PM Rabuka.
The evil this man has done, driving thousands of people away from their homeland, causing misery to thousands of others, will live after him.
Thank you for reminding us of Gough Whitlam’s famous line when he was sacked by Sir John Kerr as Australian prime minister in 1975. “Well may we say God Save the Queen. Because nothing will save the governor-general”. Brilliant.
Boy, this could possibly be the shortest Grubsheet story that generated the most comments. Catchy title, really kaji. Well done, Graham.
Thinking about it, the PM trashed the British Crown in 1987, overthrowing the Queen (and her successors) as well as her representative here in Fiji, the Governor General. Whereas the President trashed in 2000 the army barracks named after Corporal Sukunaivalu, to whom the Crown had awarded the Victoria Cross posthumously.
Never mind the apologies, tears and hugs, Fiji will remain in sheer irreparable disarray as long as oath-violating leaders are in office. So the internationally funded Truth and Reconciliation Commission will complete its work but without getting the true truth behind this all.
The people who suffered the most during 1987 are either dead, not in the country or not willing to share their shame in this show pony called the “Truth and Reconciliation Commission”.
It is only the FFP haters that will appear so that they can have something to crow about.
Why does slr not appear before it and speak the truth about whom financed his coups – that would be a kick start.
What hold does Hari and Mahendra have on him?
The name Sitiveni Rabuka will be synonymous with the destruction of Fiji’s progress. He has done irreparable damage to the country. The Messiah who communicated directly with God and carried out the 1987 military coup.
On one hand was the suffering experienced by Indo Fijians. It is all documented and well known. The looting, killing, raping women in front of the family members, assaults, property damage, torcher of farm animals. The work mates of different races at work wouldn’t talk to each other. He was inciting iTaukei people to bully Indo Fijians. He himself called them spineless.
On the other hand, he became the main cause for the suffering of iTaukei people. The land was being reserved. Natives felt great to see Indo Fijians suffer. Unfortunately, majority could not see how Rabuka played with their emotions. They are still suffering; the lease money does not get paid. A large mass still considers him as their champion.
Bainimarama said the chiefs should not have any place in politics. He disbanded GCC. Currently Rabuka says he wants CJ Salesi Temo to be removed. He says he cannot take this action because he cannot upset his high chief, the president. He has gone against the constitution of the country. We can take a break here and ponder who is a better leader between Rabuka and Frank.
In my opinion Rabuka is the biggest problem for the progress of iTaukei people. What good has he ever done for the natives? He was major reason for downfall of SVT, split of SODELPA, with his military uniform during 2000 mutiny?
Yes, he has appointed and promoted his own people, not common natives. But they still can’t see and will never see. Of course he is a big hope for big business people. A lot of money is still to be made from the natives.
My vote did not contribute for him to become PM. He did say he was sorry for the 1987 coup and he was a changed man now. I did not believe him because I could not see any change in him.
I am a common man. I will not curse him. I will never vote for a person of his character.
Kai-Indias will get up and build again. They don’t sit back and drool over other’s assets. They have proved it. Also, their religious practicing is not for show and tell. They believe. The sad part is the suffering of the country and the iTaukei people will continue, even when Rabuka is gone!
SYSTEMS. SYSTEMS. SYSTEMS. , I have said this before,
so, as Goebbels said, repeat a lie enough and it is perceived as truth.
Well this is no LIE, but here goes, SYSTEMS, SYSTEMS, SYSTEMS, SYSTEMS, SYSTEMS, SYSTEMS,
The Universe is held together, from the unfathomable immensity of it, down to the atom,
and everything in between, by SYSTEMS!!!
There are many books offered by religions with rules, SYSTEMS, for the organisation of man
, and for this exercise I shall use the Bible, held by Christians as the word of God.
So here goes,
1. All men are the same. Cultures act on the periphery.
( CommonMan, who is decidedly UNCOMMON, has so far provided an excellent insight into the culture of the iTaukei)
Waiting for where this will take us in regard to solutions to the grave breakdown of society in regard to common human needs such as food, health, shelter, education, work, retirement.
2. Politics – means a SYSTEM of allocating resources.
3. So to achieve or maintain what I consider the needs of every man, irrespective of culture, we need to
get our politics right. Consider all political SYSTEMS and find one that WORKS in the world, and adopt.
If in fact our dominate culture believes there are societal problems and it is open to change and not threatened by change, then there can be hope, meanwhile I look forward to Common man’s thoughts on what I have outlined here.
4. We have to articulate the problem(s) or find we are going nowhere, and as some fellow has said, if we are not moving, we are in fact going backwards.
5. So, if GD allows, I look forward to agreeing or disagreeing with CommonMans propositions in regard finding solutions to our nations grave problems.
6. CommonMan is an anomaly, so in fact a most Uncommon Man. He reads.
I joke, when I tell people I am the most normal man, which makes me , abnormal. I also read.
I look forward to what CommonMan proposes as solutions to better societal and cultural outcomes.
In so far as all of what we are perpetually subject to day after day, year after year,
its all SH*T, never ending SHeighT, and it takes less than half a brain to determine it
must be a SYSTEM breakdown, a political SYSTEM that is farked, not delivering anything good for the vast majority of the PEOPLE, irrespective of culture.
This SYSTEM we have inherited, is past its use by date.
Look at the West, it is no longer as advertised, democracy my bum.
I think Rabuka is hated more than George Speight.
Must be really painful to get up in the mornings and thinking that you have liberated the itaukei from the so called indian demon, yet your own son does not see it fit to stay and take part in developing the land and enjoying the fruits of the father’s so called hard labour, he is so ashamed of his dad being called a coup daddy that he decides to settle in new zealand, karma truly has a way of screwing people.
Are you sure it’s a walking stick or a tapping cane for the blind. They probably are slightly challenged and need to feel for directions with the mess they created themselves.
Sitiveni Rabuka’s current term as Prime Minister under the coalition government has been marked by political instability and ambitious reform goals. His leadership has been erratic, with frequent shifts in policy direction and internal coalition tensions. His loyalty lies more with traditional power structures than with grassroots needs. This perception is compounded by his controversial legacy from the SVT era, which many still view as lacking tangible benefits for indigenous Fijians.
Still, Rabuka remains a formidable political figure, and his popularity among iTaukei voters could carry him to another electoral victory. The real question is whether he can translate that support into inclusive and sustainable development for all people of Fiji.
Vinaka chatgtp.
Rabuka’s biggest achievement is making the Itaukei believe it’s their Indo Fijian neighbor who is responsible for their impoverishment rather than their own laziness.
Fiji Indians have long moved forward leaving the new generation of Itaukei to fend for themselves while sharks like Rabuka serve themselves only.
The HIV and drug pandemic is only beginning. Rabuka will see the end of the Itaukei before he rots while alive.
CommonMan’s reasoned thinking, which has been articulated gracefully, disqualifies him from the descriptive name he has been given. However it is very aspirational that his world view and how he constructs his thoughts becomes much more common in Fiji and abroad.
It would be something to shout about when more Fijian people have progressive and educated views like him. The population does not have to have the same views as him but at least less of the uncivil and junglee behavior that many display, including the foul mouths and bitter vengeance that lead to no practical way forward.
There is a long way to go. And the likes of CommonMan are a beacon of hope.
