The former prime minister and Labour Party leader, Mahendra Chaudhry, nails it when he suggests the “nation is in denial” about a “government rocked by scams and scandals” that has left the electorate in “utter disgust”.
To underline his point came confirmation of Grubsheet’s report three days ago that Lynda Tabuya would be guest of honour at Fiji Day celebrations in Levuka. There yesterday posing with young people who had re-enacted the Deed of Cession was a Minister who has been found guilty of a sex and illicit drug scandal and is now embroiled in a fresh scandal about hiding her family millions and lying to the Electoral Office about her marital status.
The call by the resident cream puff – the President, Ratu Wiliame Katonivere – for a process of national healing and forgiveness in his Fiji Day address (written by the government) is just so much blah, blah, blah when a drug taker, adulterer and fraudster like Lynda Tabuya remains in the Coalition’s ranks and is held up as a role model for our young people.
We will not forgive conduct that is unforgivable in our leaders just because they ask for it. Because unless they genuinely change their ways, we are merely endorsing and enabling that conduct. The presence of someone as guest of honour at Independence celebrations who the Prime Minister himself has cast as being guilty of a “sex and illicit drug scandal” is an insult to the Fijian people. No, we are not going to forgive. On the contrary. We are going to punish you for your moral turpitude at the first opportunity.
There is also no prospect of national healing unless the root cause of the sickness in national life is addressed and proper standards of behaviour are restored. This goes beyond the conduct of the Queen of Tarts and Minister for Bonking and Weed to some of those who are presiding over our most important offices of state – the outlaw Acting Chief Justice, a Deputy DPP guilty of professional misconduct, a drink-driving Chief Registrar and the appointment of a government stooge to FICAC to stop corruption investigations into a gaggle of government ministers.
So until the moral pygmies in the State and this government get their house in order and stop the assault on the rule of law, the rape of democracy and the violation of all accepted standards of proper conduct, transparency and accountability, forget it. There will be no forgiveness and no healing.
A day of reckoning is also coming. Because the best news Grubsheet has heard in a long time is that a new political force is being assembled to contest the 2026 elections and sweep these degenerates away like straws in a flood.
That’s the healing the country needs – men and women of honour to set the nation on a proper course and give our young people the future they deserve. And to put an end to the Coalition nightmare once and for all.

The mere presence of the Minister for Bonking and Weed defiles one of our most important Independence traditions.

Could these stories perchance be related? Someone at the Fiji Sun has a sense of humour placing them together.

So to recap. Why can there be no healing and no forgiveness?
Because, for one, Lynda Tabuya was found guilty by her own party of a “sex and illicit drug scandal” but remains as Minister for Women and Children. And there is no justice in that.
Memo Sitiveni Rabuka: Get rid of her and cleanse the institutions of state and then get back to us.
Otherwise get used to the fact that your entire 37 years in public life will enter Fijian history as its blackest period.
Not a nation builder but a nation destroyer.

NOTE: The media keeps reporting that the President has called for healing and forgiveness. He is merely parroting words written for him by the government. I know because I used to do it for the other lot.
So it is the Coalition asking for healing and forgiveness.
No, no, no! Not unless you clean up your act.
Lynda once posted Mother Teresa as her cover page on Facebook. How could she stoop so low to put one of the most revered Catholic nuns who is well known for her generous work helping the poorest of the poor in Calcutta, India.
Lynda is the total opposite. A con woman masquerading as a saint.
She ran away with her husband from the US after defrauding their customers. She committed adultery several times including her having sex with her fellow minister. She is a consistent drug user and continues to sleep with married men up to this day.
Unlike Mother Teresa, she with her committee recommended a salary increase for herself and other parliamentarians.
She is an insult to all Catholics in Fiji and around the world when she posted Mother Teresa as her Facebook cover page.
All Catholics should be disgusted by this fake of a woman!
Isaa, this self-professed drug taker, adulteress, criminal/fraudster and shameless (mata auauwa ni demu o caava tio!) of a PAP cabinet crackers minister is a perfect embodiment of Fiji’s national disgrace.
PM Rabuka couldn’t have chosen a better government representative to be part of a high school level drama during a national event while the real deal is happening elsewhere on my turf.
We know it’s to keep her ‘I love me, look at me’ antics away from Labasa where the main event was happening, lol.
Vinaa Lynda DiBenu Tabuya.
The perfect personification of Fiji’s national disgrace in a similarly failed and disgraced politician.
Do us all a favor and just resign, willya! Woucaa!
But then you have zero integrity and you’re desperate to get political mileage at any chance you can get those itchy fingers on.
No darling Rob will never allow it.
All those personal investments and con jobs and scams you’ve planned over pillow talks to get to this stage down the drain??
No, no, no. Put on a brave face, Dibenu and pretend nothing is happening, your Fijian voters are stupid. Well, at least for the remaining handful of gullible ostriches that have their heads high up the you-know-where.
Just remind Rabuka and all your corrupt officials in the PAP party and Cabinet what you know about what they did last summer and they will cave in like the corrupt bashturds that you all are.
A cheap PR photo op and selfie here riding on a community-impact success story that had nothing to do with you! A cheap useless statement there, hopefully the stupid Fijian voters will still vote for her royal thickness in 2026!
Nomu arse sara!
Lao!
A disappointed EX-Lynda supporter!!
Wow…so much hatred which has made you bitter and twisted. Try meditation to help your damaged psychological condition.
Welcome to Fiji, Ms/Mr Vilikesa Ostrich lol..where disappointed voters are allowed to express our views FREELY especially with 52% of the nation living in poverty while your low value politician pretends to care.
I would vote for her again in 2026 had she lived up to her election promises and at least what we now know is her fake political resume. I’m from Savusavu so you should know that my expletives could be far far worse than what you’ve just read above.
Now, take several seats, dumba$$.
Tell that to your psycho- damaged politician. You know she smokes marijuana right??
Let Fijians voice their frustration. It’s a free country just as your heros in parliament are freely robbing the nation’s coffers in varking broad daylight bruh.
Wow tale ni nomu shonty bro.
The country is fed up, peel off the grog scales from your bloodshot eyes (and God knows wherever else). Have heard worse, no jokes. Are you reading the room. Kalas! Time to FO these lying a-holes. We just celebrated Fiji fu$&g Day. Full of shiiit.! No gooda, worse than FFP.
Vilikesa, damaged goods is a female minister smoking weed and sleeping around with many men at her 50 plus age and preaching to the nation about teenage pregnancy and porn. Dou yavu boii levu.
Look at that joker smile. A grinning narcissist.
And a few screws, loose and rattling somewhere, for sure.
God save Fiji. Bring on 2026 already!!!
Levuka came into prominence on the back of the early white settlers who were promised protection by the Tui Levuka if they remained. Together with all those in Levuka the town was built up, a multi cultural society that has existed through thick and thin. All the locals know and support each other regardless of race or creed. Lynda Tabuya belongs to one of the most racist Governments Fiji has ever lived under and takes her track record with her that Rabuka tolerates. Anywhere she goes does more harm than good. Leave well alone. No one needs the likes of people like her visiting them.
Bloke in the first pic directly behind Tabuyas eft looks like he’s getting an eyeful or seen something that is about to make him hurl.
Lynda is our national disgrace. Period.
Too much feel good statements with no real traction on the people. They have turned. All eBlah blah blah is therefore hot air.
Fijians, please learn.
The word is “learn.”
Learn to keep your children away from this woman.
Learn to say no to drugs.
Learn to be wise and not a thick parents.
Say no to her presence and turn your back.
People died to get Fiji Independence and here you all are just parading with this sick woman!
Tell her to take her spoon and plates and get off the island.
Don’t encourage her to come and fool you all.
It is sad that those youngsters are oblivious to the slut that this person is pretending to be a role model.
Any adult seen in pics and selfies with this big slut of Fiji must have their head checked.
Dear Fred,
Be grateful for the 101 course on editorial writing that the former PM has blessed you and your Butt Street team with. Your competitors at the Sun passed the course with flying colours and are applying what they learnt without fear or favour.
Dear “Lynda Dibenu”,
What a brilliant name you have bestowed upon the QT and MBW. Dibenu – Adi Benu, Princess or Queen of Rubbish, of Moral Pollution!
Dear Pio,
Sorry, your message is rejected. The youths will not stay away from drugs because they have lost hope, because at least one of your fellow Ministers is a drug user, who herself does not practise what she and her Cabinet colleagues preach and will not be arrested.
Dear Graham,
We cannot thank you enough. What will make our day is a story on that grouping that is in the making, simply because we desperately need an alternative government. There is none now as the core of the Shadow Cabinet have crossed the floor. Inia’s acclaimed claim that “we are a government in waiting” is water under the Rewa Bridge.
Thank you,
Betrayed Voter.
The new group is in its nascent stages and deserves the opportunity to get its act together away from the glare of publicity. But what I understand about who is behind it and its financial viability to contest the election is very encouraging.
The existing players will wonder what the hell happened to them when the time comes. It is they who have created the opportunity for fresh faces to emerge and stand on a platform of returning Fiji to proper moral governance. And I will personally be supporting them 100 per cent.
The Fijian people are crying out for a better alternative and God willing, they are going to get it. The Coalition’s days are numbered and with their tin ears, chronic self interest and corruption, the Coalition parties will have been the instruments of their own demise.
AS YE SOW, SO SHALL YE REAP.
Former PM Chaudhry is a breath of fresh air, in the backdrop of the continued corruption, hypocrisy and head-in-the-sand stance adopted by the self-congratulating Coalition mob and their beneficiaries occupying critical positions on the Rabuka gravy train. MPC’s remarks on current issues, underscores his analytical aptitude, experience and maturity on governance and leadership.
Is it a wonder that the kindergarten kids like Biman Prasad feel so threatened and opt to assassinate his character rather than take him up on the substantive issues.
Watch the NFP convention in Sigatoka this weekend where Rabuka has been invited to give an address. The NFP leadership is gleefully announcing this as a major coup. Really?
More salusalu for the man who started the coup culture in the country using the Indians as the perfect escape goat. He continues on the agenda ‘legally’ now, thanks to the support from NFP which has lost all its moral compass, principles and values.
It doesn’t need an Einstein to understand that this is designed to prop up Biman Prasad, who has been under scrutiny recently and is still there due to Rabuka’s inability to clean up the rot in his government. It is a win-win. Rabuka will be hoping for appeasement from the Indo-Fijian community mainly who are now feeling more threatened, marginalised and discriminated against than anytime in Fiji’s history.
I would not hold my breath for the NFP to begin a reset and bring back the virtues and aspirations under the leadership of stalwarts such as A D Patel, S M Koya and J R Reddy. The only thing which matters to the current NFP Ministers is to preserve their positions at any cost, even if it means showing their 2 fingers to the Indian community and continue to ride the gravy train for at least another 2 years.
In the last 2 years, the NFP leadership has not publicly raised a single issue which has been of specific concern to the Indians. Is it a surprise that the skills are leaving the shores in droves, the sugar industry is collapsing with no genuine interest to continue given the uncertainty and the businesses are merely keeping afloat until the dependents can find more preferrable sanctuaries abroad.
Food for thought for Biman Prasad and his loyal lieutenants in Sigatoka this weekend.
I have no idea why Indians and Indian politicians are hell bent on improving or changing fiji. Why are they wasting their time and lives on things that will never change. Instead focus and help Indians on moving out of this country. I do remember reading some where the late Jai Ram Reddy who once said…”a life wasted”. We are all wasting our lives trying to help or change this country. How long are we going to rely on people like Frank or ASK, Narube, Chaudhary to save or lookout for he minority race. It will end sometime and then what?
Oh and am waiting for Linda’s Diwali message. Remember what she said last year.
That conwoman unfortunately takes a lot of pride in hurting woman especially those whose husbands she has slept with ! She uses the name Herly Quinn online and has a habit of running down and slurring women she has already hurt!
The most astonishing part of all these is the refusal by PM to accept any evidence against her ! He is not budging from his support for her because she also has him curled up around her (Eds: words redacted)
Just so you know , once she is intent on getting a man hooked, she sends them dirty dancing nude videos of herself that depict her masturbating and playing with herself! When we raise the issue with her as to why she is doing what she is doing ? Guess what she does?
She gives you the evil laugh! Yes ! Records herself laughing and sends it to you ! That’s how insane and sick in the brain she is!
I’ve taught myself something ! That’s to leave her to her madness because that way she will commit the ultimate mistake ! When we try and confront her, she merely improves on her tricks !
I’m praying GD that one of these days she will get it for her racist; shallow and stupid contributions that are a real reflection of who she really is behind the fake smiles and the expensive dresses and suits !
Butako squad ! Vote them out ! All of them in 2026!
Bainimarama instilled dignity and pride to the Indian population of Fiji. He gave them a sense of belonging.
Biman and Rabuka took this away, and showed they are only interested in lining their own pockets and staying in power.
The NFP is finished.
All those who attend the NFP convention in Sigatoka are a bunch of idiots. Their pics and selfies with the PM and their leader will say “Hey all, look at us, we are first rate dickheads and so proud to be dickheads”. Thumbs up!!!
Lets us all see how many such people are there in the NFP.
Great to hear that a new political movement could be on the cards. Let’s hope that with all sincerity that they will truly do the right thing by the people. Quite a number thought the same way in 2022, but were utterly disappointed and betrayed by Rabuka and his bunch of cronies. 24 months isn’t long in an election cycle so they would do themselves and Fiji great to hit the ground running soon. They will have so much political ammunition to blow this rotten sinking ship of the coalition into political oblivion. And no more old faces of FFP and Coalition members, SODELPA, PAP please
Look at the buff guy to her left checking her out. Her behaviour has ensured she’s not taken seriously for her intellect or leadership. All she has to offer is the smuttiness.
I honestly pray that the new political force you are talking about materialises.
All fresh faces, no Rabuka, no Bainimarama, no Chaudhry, no Khaiuym, none of the elite crowd or their hangers on….
If we are getting a new political party they should ensure their manifesto says: No frigging tax holidays and let’s have a conflict of interest policy. No more effing corruption and let’s actually practice good governance not just preaching it and then doing the opposite
