# OOH- AHH. SAVAGED BY A FIJI FANTASTIC SHEEP NAMED MANOA (UPDATED TUES AM)

Posted on May 26, 2025 25 Comments

Grubsheet’s Facebook spies have sent me reaching for the champagne this afternoon to celebrate being mauled by no less than the Deputy Prime Minister of Fiji, Manoa Kamikamica, within hours of me accusing him of being the Number Two Snake in the Coalition government after Sitiveni Rabuka.

On the basis of that mauling, I have since revised my opinion. Make that “Number Two Sheep”. Because snakes aren’t that stupid and being savaged by Manoa is akin to being savaged by a lifeless domesticated ruminant. (With apologies to the former British politician, Denis Healey, who first compared being criticised by a political opponent to being savaged by a dead sheep).

Gosh, Ann Kamikamica‘s handbag of a husband is a sensitive flower. I made a number of perfectly legitimate criticisms of him and opined that he is unfit to ever achieve his ambition of supplanting Rambo as Prime Minister. And blow me down, he accuses me not of being wrong but of being an alcoholic.

Yes, Siree. I sit up until the early hours of every morning in a state of complete inebriation and only my life-long immunity to the affects of alcohol makes me capable of putting my fingers to the keyboard year in, year out to expose frauds like Mr Not-So-Sweet. As a matter of fact, I’m going to have another drink right now because you just can’t buy publicity like this. And I am getting it for free!

If you haven’t seen it already, take a look at what I wrote in the early hours of this morning and then consider the DPM’s response.

Thanks for the free plug, Mr Deputy Prime Minister. Silly little sheep. The proof is in the article itself and even the dimmest ruminant should be able to understand the case I make. You would also do well to learn the first rule of PR which is not to elevate your critics in such spectacular fashion.

My credibility in Fiji is shot? Then why on earth would you deign to fight back? No. It is your credibility that is shot. And your latest outrageous comments in relation to the Ashton-Lewis Commission of Inquiry only reinforce the notion that you are totally unfit to lead the Fiji Fantastic flock.

Yes, undoubtedly I will be drunk again on Election Night 2026. But this is what Fijian voters are going to do to you unless you clean up your act in the meantime.

And honestly. Who would you rather be?

Baa!

Wow what a nasty attack by Manoa. You have touched a raw nerve. He is an embarrassment to the office of the DPM. This guy is next in line to become PM? Fiji is truly doomed.

Manoa Kamikamica is biggest crocodile in the pond in getting Malimali appointed. He went to MPs and Ministers telling them support me as PM, I’m putting Malimali in as FICAC Commissioner. She will get rid of your case and ours too. Several MPs and Ministers testified to that effect. I was there and witnessed the whole thing. Manoa Kamikamica is desperate to become PM at any cost. But what I don’t understand is that why can’t he just challenge PM Rambo properly. Hang on I know he is a big lamusona who doesn’t have the support and what it takes it to be PM. (Eds note. Final sentence redacted for legal reasons)

Haha, you are everything that everyone says you are.

You write: ‘Several MPs and Ministers testified to that effect.’

To quote from the Fiji Times four days ago: ‘Commission counsel Janet Mason said the inquiry was conducted under strict rules of natural justice and fairness, and that participants were repeatedly reminded of their obligation to maintain confidentiality.

‘Witnesses were reminded on multiple occasions that confidentiality was to be maintained,’ Ms Mason said.

‘Yes, there are consequences. Disobedience of a lawful order is an offence under Section 202 of the Crimes Act.’

But it will be you that faces these consequences or your puppetmaster Rajend, the kabuki theatre operator of your Chūnori flying-without-wires act?

Charlie Charters you think I care? The doctrine of public interest outweighs the protection of those involved. I don’t listen to anyone and do my own thing. Whether I face the law or whatever happens I stand with a clear conscience that the PM was betrayed and those in power went behind his back to make such appointment to protect themselves. I will have the best lawyers money can buy so bring it on.

Isa Manoa, you are the communications minister for Fiji your own comms is abysmal. You need to sack your entire team because your response is downright stupid. You need to understand the concept of when silence is golden instead of putting your damn foot in your mouth . Your response is a disaster. It indicates that either your head is too deep up your own anus and/or you think you are so superior and smart, when in actuality, you are not. In fact, you sound quite dumb. With this response you have vindicated GD. Your post has revealed your total disconnect with public opinion and for this, you might have only your stupid comms team to blame and of course your own dumb ass.

What an idiot. Is he drunk on power again? Manoa is an idiot to respond to social media posts, especially when you don’t know who the author(s) of Fiji Transparency are. It thinks he controls the media so he can write the crap he wants.

MK’s school yard thinking and his “response” to GS speaks volumes about his intelligence. This clueless clowns comments speaks volumes about the depravity of a dull and empty soul.

MK would hard pressed to tell one tit from another. Fool.

Manoa, I know you’re reading this. Be it also known that your tasteless jibe is unbecoming of someone in high office, and aspiring for loftier perches.

An elected MP you may be, but a leader you most definitely are not.

    And that’s your legacy.

Guys, true story. Manoa was always broke and never had funds in his bank account until he became a Deputy Prime Minister. I know because his cheque account was always overdrawn.

And that would make him the ideal and most suitable person to be the next Finance Minister!! Because he has all the right qualifications and experience based on the standards set by this dumbo PM.

‘Sweetness’ spoke—and somewhere, one of his last brain cells filed for divorce. His thoughts rolled in like dial-up internet: slow, loud, and mostly useless. Now he’s over there overheating in that oversized 1970s wool blazer, GD! LOL

You are a disgrace to us Fijians when you shame another person, typical power and food hungry DPM. Stop throwing stones when you live in a glass house.

For the record, I am not an alcoholic but I realise now where this might have come from. Word reached me when I was working for Qorvis in Fiji that Biman Prasad was calling me an alcoholic. Clearly he and Manoa have put their heads together about how to deal with my criticism of them and have decided that ascribing the disease of alcoholism to me is the best way to smear me. ie by suggesting that my judgment is impaired by the bottle.

Clearly it is the best they can do in the absence of other scandals during my time in Fiji, such as Biman’s notorious harassment of women or a penchant for goats other than in a curry. The burden of living a blameless life is to be tarred with the dreaded drink.

      Cheers, Big Ears!

GD – I have personally met you few times in various roles and you have always been a decent bloke who would have a drink with a few laughs – at least, you’re not like Biman who surveys women at every party with and without drink or like Manoa who continuously has food plates around him with red wine. (I think he believes it makes him look smarter than normal beer guzzling Fijian )

About Grubsheet

Graham Davis
Grubsheet Feejee is the blogsite of Graham Davis, an award-winning journalist turned communications consultant who was the Fijian Government’s principal communications advisor for six years from 2012 to 2018 and continued to work on Fiji’s global climate and oceans campaign up until the end of the decade.

Fiji-born to missionary parents and a dual Fijian-Australian national, Graham spent four decades in the international media before returning to Fiji to work full time in 2012. He reported from many parts of the world for the BBC, ABC, SBS, the Nine and Seven Networks and Sky News and wrote for a range of newspapers and magazines in Australia, New Zealand and Fiji.

Graham launched Grubsheet Feejee in 2011 and suspended writing for it after the Fijian election of 2014, by which time he was working at the heart of government. But the website continued to attract hits as a background resource on events in Fiji in the transition back to parliamentary democracy.

Grubsheet relaunches in 2020 at one of the most critical times in Fijian history, with the nation reeling from the Covid-19 crisis and Frank Bainimarama’s government shouldering the twin burdens of incumbency and economic disintegration.

Grubsheet’s sole agenda is the national interest; the strengthening of Fiji’s ties with the democracies; upholding equal rights for all citizens; government that is genuinely transparent and free of corruption and nepotism; and upholding Fiji’s service to the world in climate and oceans advocacy and UN Peacekeeping.
