The news that the DPP Christopher Pryde's salary has again been suspended to try to force him to resign has been accompanied by equally disturbing news for any Fijian looking for justice to be done in cases of wrongdoing exposed by the Ashton-Lewis Commission of Inquiry into the Malimali affair. The Police Commissioner, Rusiate Tudravu, has … [Read more...] about # THE CORRUPT STITCH-UP OVER THE COI NOW UNFOLDING AT GUNU HOUSE (UPDATED THURS AM)

The Fijian people can no longer have any confidence at all in their mainstream media, judging from Tuesday's front page story in the Fiji Sun reporting that the President, Ratu Naiqama Lalabalavu, has suspended the salary of the DPP, Christopher Pryde, even though Pryde remains in office. In an extraordinary lapse of all accepted journalistic … [Read more...] about # MAINSTREAM MEDIA SQUALOR. THE FIJI SUN IS AS CORRUPT AS THE FIJI TIMES (UPDATED THURS AM)

# HO HUM. SO NOW THE COALITION WANTS ME DEAD. JUST ANOTHER DAY IN THE LAND WHERE HAPPINESS FINDS YOU

Posted on July 29, 2025 24 Comments

After half a century in journalism and having collected my fair share of enemies, death threats aren't par for the course but they have happened before. You just alert the relevant authorities, revise your personal security and press on. But the latest death threat is from Fiji and is more startling than usual because of the manner in which it … [Read more...] about # HO HUM. SO NOW THE COALITION WANTS ME DEAD. # THE FUTURE OF THE NATIONAL FEDERATION PARTY? BECAUSE OF ITS MULTIPLE BETRAYALS, IT DOESN’T HAVE ONE

Posted on July 27, 2025 17 Comments

As well as being mired in alleged criminality and corruption, the NFP leader, Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister, Biman Prasad, is the most deluded man in Fijian politics. Even more so than that other Deputy Prime Minister from the same swamp of crocodiles, Manoa Kamikamica, who thinks he can still be prime minister. With two politicians … [Read more...] about # THE FUTURE OF THE NATIONAL FEDERATION PARTY? BECAUSE OF ITS MULTIPLE BETRAYALS, IT DOESN’T HAVE ONE

# HOW FAR THE NATION HAS FALLEN. THE CORRUPT FIJI TIMES (UPDATED SATURDAY AM)

Posted on July 25, 2025 10 Comments

The Motibhai Patel family of Ba have strengthened the case for them to be stripped of the ownership of Fiji's traditional newspaper of record by a future incoming government by facilitating the blatant censorship of the statement yesterday by the DPP, Christopher Pryde, clarifying why he continues to be absent from Fiji. Every other media … [Read more...] about # HOW FAR THE NATION HAS FALLEN. THE CORRUPT FIJI TIMES (UPDATED SATURDAY AM)

# THE CONSPIRACY LED BY THE CHIEF CROCODILE, SALESI TEMO, TO KEEP CHRISTOPHER PRYDE AWAY FROM FIJI

Posted on July 24, 2025 11 Comments

Ever since he was suspended in early 2023 for consorting with Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum at a Japanese Embassy function, there has been a determined effort to keep Christopher Pryde from completing his term as DPP, which expires next March. The corrupt Chief Justice, Salesi Temo, waited for almost a year before fulfilling his constitutional duty to … [Read more...] about # THE CONSPIRACY LED BY THE CHIEF CROCODILE, SALESI TEMO, TO KEEP CHRISTOPHER PRYDE AWAY FROM FIJI

About Grubsheet

Graham Davis
Grubsheet Feejee is the blogsite of Graham Davis, an award-winning journalist turned communications consultant who was the Fijian Government’s principal communications advisor for six years from 2012 to 2018 and continued to work on Fiji’s global climate and oceans campaign up until the end of the decade.

Fiji-born to missionary parents and a dual Fijian-Australian national, Graham spent four decades in the international media before returning to Fiji to work full time in 2012. He reported from many parts of the world for the BBC, ABC, SBS, the Nine and Seven Networks and Sky News and wrote for a range of newspapers and magazines in Australia, New Zealand and Fiji.

Graham launched Grubsheet Feejee in 2011 and suspended writing for it after the Fijian election of 2014, by which time he was working at the heart of government. But the website continued to attract hits as a background resource on events in Fiji in the transition back to parliamentary democracy.

Grubsheet relaunches in 2020 at one of the most critical times in Fijian history, with the nation reeling from the Covid-19 crisis and Frank Bainimarama’s government shouldering the twin burdens of incumbency and economic disintegration.

Grubsheet’s sole agenda is the national interest; the strengthening of Fiji’s ties with the democracies; upholding equal rights for all citizens; government that is genuinely transparent and free of corruption and nepotism; and upholding Fiji’s service to the world in climate and oceans advocacy and UN Peacekeeping.
