# THE ONCE MIGHTY NFP VENTS ITS FRUSTRATION WITH A PARANOID ATTACK THAT EXPOSES ITS UTTER DESPERATION

Posted on November 1, 2025 16 Comments

Grubsheet recently described Alexandra Forwood as the "bane of Sitiveni Rabuka's existence - a one-woman whirlwind bombarding his government with a constant stream of emails demanding action or answers as it lurches from crisis to crisis and scandal to scandal". It is, of course, Alex Forwood's democratic right. But the way the NFP tells it, you … [Read more...] about # THE ONCE MIGHTY NFP VENTS ITS FRUSTRATION WITH A PARANOID ATTACK THAT EXPOSES ITS UTTER DESPERATION

# THE SECOND MOST DELUDED MAN IN FIJI. YOU ALREADY KNOW THE IDENTITY OF THE FIRST

Posted on October 31, 2025 26 Comments

The NFP leader, Biman Prasad, has been charged with serious criminal conduct and his Coalition partner, the Prime Minister, Sitiveni Rabuka, says his trial may still be going by the time next year's election comes around. It is a political nightmare - the prospect of the NFP having to campaign for re-election with its leader before the courts … [Read more...] about # THE SECOND MOST DELUDED MAN IN FIJI. # CAN IT POSSIBLY BE TRUE? SOMEONE WITH INTEGRITY AND JUDGMENT AS ATTORNEY GENERAL?

Posted on October 30, 2025 26 Comments

The coconut wireless is crackling with reports that Luke Daunivalu - one of the finest Fijians of his generation - is about to be announced as AG to replace the hapless and perennially accident-prone Siromi Turaga. If it is true - and pray God it is - then it is cause for national celebration. Because as well as having had a distinguished career … [Read more...] about # CAN IT POSSIBLY BE TRUE? # PROFESSOR NEVER-SAY-DIE MAKES LIGHT OF BEING CHARGED WITH SERIOUS CRIMINAL CONDUCT

Posted on October 28, 2025 27 Comments

Like the Black Knight in the Monty Python skit who insists "tis but a scratch" when his limbs have been severed (see below), Biman Prasad is adopting the absurd posture that the FICAC charge against him of corruption is just a temporary setback. Quote: "One thing I have learned in eleven years of political leadership is that it involves many … [Read more...] about # PROFESSOR NEVER-SAY-DIE MAKES LIGHT OF BEING CHARGED WITH SERIOUS CRIMINAL CONDUCT

# THE COALITION GOVERNMENT TRIES TO SPIN ITS WAY OUT OF CATASTROPHE (UPDATED TUESDAY EVENING)

Posted on October 28, 2025 28 Comments

Today's Fiji TImes carries easily one of the most ludicrous front page headlines in the entire 156-year history of the nation's favourite fish wrapping - "Stable and focused", it proclaims, quoting the Prime Minister about his government, when the whole country can see that it is neither stable nor focused and instead, is in a state of catastrophic … [Read more...] about # THE COALITION GOVERNMENT TRIES TO SPIN ITS WAY OUT OF CATASTROPHE (UPDATED TUESDAY EVENING)

About Grubsheet

Graham Davis
Grubsheet Feejee is the blogsite of Graham Davis, an award-winning journalist turned communications consultant who was the Fijian Government’s principal communications advisor for six years from 2012 to 2018 and continued to work on Fiji’s global climate and oceans campaign up until the end of the decade.

Fiji-born to missionary parents and a dual Fijian-Australian national, Graham spent four decades in the international media before returning to Fiji to work full time in 2012. He reported from many parts of the world for the BBC, ABC, SBS, the Nine and Seven Networks and Sky News and wrote for a range of newspapers and magazines in Australia, New Zealand and Fiji.

Graham launched Grubsheet Feejee in 2011 and suspended writing for it after the Fijian election of 2014, by which time he was working at the heart of government. But the website continued to attract hits as a background resource on events in Fiji in the transition back to parliamentary democracy.

Grubsheet relaunches in 2020 at one of the most critical times in Fijian history, with the nation reeling from the Covid-19 crisis and Frank Bainimarama’s government shouldering the twin burdens of incumbency and economic disintegration.

Grubsheet’s sole agenda is the national interest; the strengthening of Fiji’s ties with the democracies; upholding equal rights for all citizens; government that is genuinely transparent and free of corruption and nepotism; and upholding Fiji’s service to the world in climate and oceans advocacy and UN Peacekeeping.
