# THE SHAMELESS HUSSY GOES ON THE ATTACK

Posted on February 25, 2024 23 Comments

Is there a woman in the entire Pacific more brazen than Lynda Tabuya, the Minister for Bonking and Weed in the faltering Coalition government? In an astonishing new development as a People's Alliance disciplinary committee considers what to do about the sex and drugs scandal involving Tabuya and Aseri Radrodro, the Madam goes on the offensive in … [Read more...] about # THE SHAMELESS HUSSY GOES ON THE ATTACK

# BLINKY BILL SWAPS GUM LEAVES FOR RELISH

Posted on February 25, 2024 11 Comments

"Blinky Bill" Gavoka says he is relishing his new job as Minister for Education because it gives him the opportunity to look at the faces of our young people - the nation's future. Nothing about what he is doing to help them prepare for that future. Staring at them is evidently enough. He looks down at them beaming his broad koala smile. They … [Read more...] about # BLINKY BILL SWAPS GUM LEAVES FOR RELISH

# WADAN IS BACK!

Posted on February 24, 2024 9 Comments

You really have to laugh about the cynicism and lack of subtlety of the Fiji Times and its Editor in Chief, Fred Wesley, when all it takes is a Grubsheet article for him to reverse his decision to put Professor Wadan Narsey in the deep freeze for the past few months. Just five days after our piece “Missing in Action” that asked why the Fiji … [Read more...] about # WADAN IS BACK!

# THE MODERN DAY VERSION OF BEADS AND MIRRORS

Posted on February 23, 2024 16 Comments

The Prime Minister, Sitiveni Rabuka, appears to be in the thrall of the Fiji Water billionaires, Stewart and Lynda Resnick, in the same way that native chiefs were bought off with chests of worthless baubles by colonisers in the 17th and 18th centuries. What other explanation is there for his lavish praise for the California couple who are … [Read more...] about # THE MODERN DAY VERSION OF BEADS AND MIRRORS

# LYNDA’S FUTURE IN THE BALANCE

Posted on February 22, 2024 28 Comments

It’s a sign of the intense dilemma that the People’s Alliance faces over the future of the "Minister for Bonking and Weed" that its legal sub-committee is still locked in deliberations over the drug and sex scandal that threatens her political career. The Committee is supposed to have already reported its recommendations on what action, if any, … [Read more...] about # LYNDA’S FUTURE IN THE BALANCE

About Grubsheet

Graham Davis
Grubsheet Feejee is the blogsite of Graham Davis, an award-winning journalist turned communications consultant who was the Fijian Government’s principal communications advisor for six years from 2012 to 2018 and continued to work on Fiji’s global climate and oceans campaign up until the end of the decade.

Fiji-born to missionary parents and a dual Fijian-Australian national, Graham spent four decades in the international media before returning to Fiji to work full time in 2012. He reported from many parts of the world for the BBC, ABC, SBS, the Nine and Seven Networks and Sky News and wrote for a range of newspapers and magazines in Australia, New Zealand and Fiji.

Graham launched Grubsheet Feejee in 2011 and suspended writing for it after the Fijian election of 2014, by which time he was working at the heart of government. But the website continued to attract hits as a background resource on events in Fiji in the transition back to parliamentary democracy.

Grubsheet relaunches in 2020 at one of the most critical times in Fijian history, with the nation reeling from the Covid-19 crisis and Frank Bainimarama’s government shouldering the twin burdens of incumbency and economic disintegration.

Grubsheet’s sole agenda is the national interest; the strengthening of Fiji’s ties with the democracies; upholding equal rights for all citizens; government that is genuinely transparent and free of corruption and nepotism; and upholding Fiji’s service to the world in climate and oceans advocacy and UN Peacekeeping.
