The Fiji Sun quotes “political commentators” predicting that the Prime Minister, Sitiveni Rabuka, is poised to clear the Minister for Bonking and Weed over her sex and drug scandal “because of her loyalty over the years”.
Oh really? Just try. Because it will be this government’s death knell judging from the public reaction on social media, the comments section of Grubsheet and now in the mainstream media, where letters to the editor today include one from Sivia Qoro – the former MP and People’s Democratic Party leader – calling for Lynda Tabuya‘s immediate dismissal. (see below)
The Prime Minister tells the Fiji Sun in an interview conducted last night that his decision on his Minister for Women and Children will be “according to the cabinet’s code of conduct”. If he does proceed to clear her, maybe that code of conduct has been changed to allow ministers to bonk other ministers on overseas trips, take drugs, and lie to the Prime Minister about it. That’s what the PAP itself has found after an exhaustive examination of the evidence. But, hey, Fiji, since when has logic and consistency mattered with this lot?
Lynda Tabuya herself is behaving as if she is still Queen Bee and nothing has happened. And in an outrageous example of her arrogance and high-handedness, turned on a Fiji Sun journalist, Sosiveta Korobiau, at a news conference for International Women’s Day and humiliated him into leaving. Why? Because of the Sun’s searing editorial earlier in the week branding her a “straight-faced” liar and calling on the Prime Minister to dismiss her. It turns out she also tried to have her taxpayer funded IWD message withdrawn from the Fiji Sun because of her anger over the offending editorial. Yes, the ad you paid for, Fiji, to make the Great Temptress look good.
It’s just the latest outrage by a woman with no shame – who should have resigned or been stood aside when this scandal broke, doesn’t possess an ounce of self awareness and doesn’t think she is accountable in the least to the voters who put her there, never mind the media which is meant to hold her accountable.
Lynda Tabuya’s hissy fit yesterday and outrageous conduct towards a journalist merely doing his job confirms that the Prime Minister has no choice but to sack her and expel her from the PAP as soon as it can be arranged. If he doesn’t, the Sword of Damocles hanging over the Minister for Bonking and Weed will come crashing down on him.
It is either her or the both of them. Because those in the government mortified by the current scandal – and Pio Tikoduadua is said to be a fan club of one – will turn on him. And so will the country as a whole.

She needs to get dismissed asap to save the country from international embrassement. That’s taxpayers money going for advertisment and she has no right to refuse publication in Fiji Sun. She has no shame left acting as if she has done a great thing by sleeping with married man and smoking weed and drinking Jack Daniel whilst on official trip abroad. She has no dignity left and is not fit and proper to hold all women and children ministerial position let alone being member of parliament.
Good Governance says
Turaga PM SLR, sack her from parliament altogether. You and your party will lose more than 11.something thousand votes if you don’t.
Don’t underestimate the power of the silent majority.
We represent at least 600,000+ that don’t actively engage on social media.
This is what you’ll be remembered for.
Listen to your advisers but remember this: some of them may be coming from cronyism standpoints that have zero to do with good governance.
We’re reading their views in the media and we’re watching with great interest.
Where is the change you promised us?
My family and I voted for you because you promised us good governance and change. No one is perfect, including you but what happened in Melbourne is the total opposite and these two MPs were not acting in their personal capacities but as representatives of the people of Fiji. They both failed us.
They must be held accountable. You risk setting a VERY dangerous precedent if you don’t.
Be stoic. No emotions please when making this important decision.
Don’t disappoint your supporters. We could have voted for her but we voted for YOU.
Show us leadership!

If Australia can have ‘Bonking Barnaby’ why can’t we have ‘Minister for Bonking’?!

Barnaby did the honorable and resigned. Huge difference

As I have said before that this is a vakavanua government, nothing will be done to her and extra marital affairs is something to joke about around the Tanoa and forget about it and move on. Thats the taukei way.
Meredith says
Get this woman out now PM.
What on earth are you trying to portray!
It has been a month of Tabuya’s saga.
Bullying a media reporter is the new norm now?
She did this few times already.
What on earth this woman has on these men in Cabinet?
Who else is she bonking? Surely the PM is on that list.
Very unacceptable.
Very concerning.
Fjord Sailor says
When Rabuka came to power, he quietly rewrote the code of conduct.
The new version allows cabinet Ministers to consume and transport narcotics, engage in extra marital affairs, freely hand out public funds to friends and family members.
The government is similar to the one run by Caligula when he was emperor – anything and everything sordid is acceptable.
The only thing to takeaway from Caligula is that in the end, he was removed by the people in a very nasty way…
Tinai says
God help us all. Caligula’s ending won’t hold up in 2024. More likely sail into the sunset on a people-funded super yacht.
The whole thing is nauseating. One had such hope……

Watch your husbands ladies says
Tabuya slept her way to the top.
She never spoke out against them because she was working it for her benefit. She knew exactly what she was doing.
How many of your husbands did she have sex with?
She is a sociopath and will stop at nothing for power. She needs to be chaperoned.
Don’t leave her alone with the PM. She will seduce her way out of it. Let’s see if he can say no to her.
Would love to hear from all the wives. You don’t need to be silent anymore. Truth is coming out one way or another.

In todays dailies we see Shamima Ali kicking up a stink about Lynda Tabuya’s non attendance at the Commission on the Status of Women in New York and Fiji “losing out”..
In Lyndas place, a capable female PS is selected to lead the delegation which is a fair decision worthy of respect. In what way is Fiji losing out?
Shamima would do well to shut up, put her emotions aside and read between the lines proper. Unless her unwavering allegiance to Lynda stems from a financial backing of sorts ?? Just saying as it begs the question as to why she continues to harp so loud like a wild bush chicken regarding Lynda’s exclusion and less about the fact that there is a female PS representing Fiji in New York after all. Your scope at the FWR should aim to support ALL Women in general and not exclusively Lynda Tabuya! Get a grip on things, Ms Ali!
The Govt and WE the taxpayers simply cannot afford another bonking and weed session abroad by the horrible minister for Women. If her own party has deemed her unfit for the position of PAP Deputy Leader, there is not much else that needs to be said. Lynda is unfit in the capacity she’s struggling hard to hold on to. To add, impressive is her feeble attempt to support certain individuals in the form of monetary and charitable contributions all to buy the support of her fast debilitating fan base no doubt:
Our Government has become a laughing stock to the international community. Likened to a circus. Clowns galore, loose animals, Bally girls, Jesters, Sword swallowers, Knife throwers, Snake charmers, CONtortionists, Jugglers, Artists trained in the art of manipulation. You name it, we have it. Gypsy mentality. Lynda at the helm.
To the Sitiveni Rabuka led Coalition- What’s on top will flow down. Remove this festering stench from your midst urgently else the rot will spread causing a serious and sad predicament for the nation. It may not be a pretty sight:

Political commentators predict that the PM is likely to save Ms Tabuya because of her loyalty over the years. Would that be her Financial loyalty ? Money scammed from Lyndas past dealings in the US? Had a background check been done to check the accuracy of this?
If you want to talk loyalty, this woman has none. No loyalty to her husband first and foremost, no loyalty to the women and children that have suffered as a result of her extramarital relationships, no loyalty to the Government, no loyalty to the media and freedom of expression having barred a reporter when asked hard questions pinching a raw nerve. And no loyalty to the people. She is in it for herself. Me myself and I.
So far these pointers and more should be well sufficient to expel her from Government.
1) drug taking whilst away on official state duties- A very serious offense when Fiji is already stifled with a drug pandemic. For those being apprehended for drugs, could they now counter that drugs are used by this Minister and permitted by Government with no disciplinary action so why arrest criminals when Governments backyard is no better?
2) Illicit extramarital affair with a fellow cabinet minister- Is this the example we want set for our young girls and boys? Can we seriously still consider to have her in Government as Minister for Women after seducing another woman’s husband with no regard for his wife and family?
3) Posting a video on her page of the young child beaten by her father when the online safety commission ordered all videos to be taken down- If they warrant adherence from the public, what of the Government ministers themselves?
4) on the day of her removal as Deputy Party leader, Lynda posted “The Enemy Within, I see you”- was that an indirect threat to party members ? Should this be a growing concern? Should this type of behavior be entertained by a Minister?
5) causing overall reputational damage to the Fiji Government and Fiji as a whole.
Can we seriously afford to have her represent our bests in Government ? We cannot because she has shown her incapacity as an elected official
Please remove her before the worst of it sets in. She is a danger to Fiji
Threw Ne Off My Axis says
When u have a former cult leader of itaukei nationalists, Rabuka as prime minister, and when you have a 95% itaukei party and govt run by this former cult leader, we must realise that the caucus and the party leadership structure is not led according to the dictates of a secular party in a secular westminister system but is run like the Luve-ni Wai cult described in Fiji history by anthropologists, Dr Reverend Lorima Fison and Sir Basil Thompson. The Luve Ni Wai cult has three distinct phases. Phase 1 is gathering and beating of bamboo drums to summon the spirit God (the manifestation of this today is the gathering of the selected for the purpose of politics, parliament, caucus and Cabinet); phase 2 is the emergence of a Raisevu or priest through which when the time is right the spirit god enters and possesses; the third stage is the party proceeds in a trance-like state to the community where on the signal from the Raisevu the whole party engages in sexual abandon and degrading acts. A chief when asked by Reverend Dr Fison ashamedly admitted that at this third stage they behaved like animals.
In this Coalition cult of a government the Raisevu is Lynda Tabuya. Her foolish victim was Aseri Randydrodro. Who knows who else in the party has fallen victim to the evil designs of the Raisevu.
A few sensible heads in the party recognise the evil and want to root it out but the Raisevu of all Raisevus, the supreme cult leader, Prime Minister Rabuka is unwilling to act against his protege.
The Methodist Church and the colonial govt stamped out the Luveni-ni-wai cult many years ago by acting decisively. They showed no mercy to the Raisevus and those who support them removing them from the community and exiling them to isolated islands.
For to remain in the community is to poison the whole community. So five people need to go in order to save the wider group from contamination: Chief Priest Rabuka, Deputy Cult leader, Pio Tikoduadua, Priestess Shamina Ali, altar boy, Randydrodro and the Raisevu Wueen Lynda Tabuya.

She used the PM’s bonging template when he overthrew the government and ruled the country. Just ask some bonging journos of the time. And she was asking for proof of Indian women and daughters being raped and assaulted during the coup days. This bonger is the lowest of the low.
Olei Shamima says
Shames Ali calls it “mere allegation.”
She can now ask Radrodro and Tabuya together is that is the case?
Fiji Times can give her a full page for that. What say Freddo 🙂

Just ridiculous says
It is only appropriate the PM should save the Minister for Bonking an Weed. He is a well known bonker himself. I have heard stories about the weed-taking etc during his coup days.
If he does not save the Minister, that would make him a big hypocrite.
Alternatively, knowing that he is such a God-feraing person and likens himslef to Moses, the vision of righteousness may set in and he may see the light and he may sack the Minister and himself at the same time, just so that no one can call him a hypocrite.
But I will not be holding my breath, all the glory is something he is incapable of giving up. And dressing up like a dictator from a despot country in Africa with shiny medals is really enjoyable and makes him feel really good.
