The Head of the Fiji Women’s Crisis Centre surely ought to be acutely concerned about the conduct and integrity of the Coalition’s Minister for Women and Children yet Shamima Ali seems more intent on protecting a fellow member of the sisterhood no matter how scandalous her behaviour.
The spectacle of Shamima Ali leaping to the defence of Lynda Tabuya to demand that she be reinstated as deputy leader of the People’s Alliance is gobsmacking. She seems to have lost all judgment and reason.
It started with her gross negligence in not standing up against Lynda Tabuya’s lover, Aseri Radrodro, when he was appointed minister for education in the Coalition government. Shamima knew that Radrodro was a domestic violence abuser who had almost killed his former wife – the Prime Minister’s daughter. And yet she saw fit to accept, without protest, that Aseri Radrodro preside over the futures of the nation’s young people.
Then the nation has been forced to witness the unedifying spectacle of Shamima Ali weighing in – in grossly inappropriate fashion – on the side of the Palestinians when it was Hamas that launched the murderous attack on Israel on October 7 that triggered the Israeli response in Gaza. She didn’t even try to explain that her bias didn’t represent the views of the FWCC as a whole, which is largely funded by the Australian government and which has tried to be even-handed in its approach to events in the Middle East.
Now she publicly sides with Lynda Tabuya when the Minister for Bonking and Weed has been removed as deputy leader of the PAP for her scandalous conduct in Room 233 of the Windsor Hotel in Melbourne, which is the talk of the nation despite the efforts of elements of the mainstream media to suppress it.
Shamima Ali tells the media these are only allegations. Excuse me, Shamima. They are allegations that have found to be proven by the PAP’s disciplinary committee that examined all the evidence. Those findings have formed the basis of the decision by the Executive Council of the Party to strip Lynda Tabuya of the deputy leadership. And now the Minister is almost certainly going to be sacked by the Prime Minister and maybe even forced from the parliament altogether.
Them’s the breaks, Shamima. It has nothing to do with the fact that Lynda Tabuya is a woman. It is to do with her scandalous conduct – enticing another minister to her room while his wife slept nearby, bonking him so “brutally” that she said she was having trouble walking the following day, and smoking “weed” – marijuana, a prohibited drug – on foreign soil. Oh, and getting smashed on Jack Daniels just in case the “weed” wasn’t enough.
If that is appropriate conduct for a Minister, Shamima, then you really need to take a good look at yourself. But that’s not all. Lynda Tabuya lied when she told the Prime Minister last September that she wasn’t having an affair when she was. And the Prime Minister, in turn, misled the nation.
It doesn’t matter what gender you are – male or female – this is unacceptable conduct for any minister. And Shamima Ali’s inability to see this is as perplexing as her acceptance of a domestic violence abuser as education minister and her woefully partisan public position on the appalling carnage in the Middle East.
It is in the best interests of the nation’s women that Shamima Ali is gently prodded into standing down as head of the FWCC. And if she won’t, she should be pushed. Because the combination of advancing age and diminishing faculties – plus living in a generously-funded NGO bubble – tells us that she has well and truly lost it.

This woman has totally lost the plot. The inability to objectively evaluate the situation is just unbelievable.
Shamima, seriously do you see any other women members of the Cabinet siding up with her? NO. Read the room. And your time’s up.
I am calling for an urgent AusAID funded initiative to fly independent experts in to hold a Talanoa style workshop to Talanoa important lessons and build dialogue around this. A Pacific style Talanoa could assist to understand whether (a) the etiquette for Ministers was well understood and get everyone on the same page going forward (b) the images and texts are an accurate reflection of what happened, and ensure they were not just a misunderstanding and (c) a Talanoa around not making future errors of misunderstanding.
Adopting the powerful Talanoa model to ensure we don’t just look at this through the colonial lens but at same time ensuring experts are flown in for independence reasons will draw a line under this once and for all.
Dear Colonialist Grubsheet (Australian taxpayer). Thank you for the free Navy patrol boat, the parliamentary trips and the other handouts. Please keep working hard for all our needs and wants like Talanoa sessions. And make sure the experts you fly in are indigenous, and are women just to be fair! And no one with antiquated brainwashed colonial views either!
Dear Grubsheet
Thank you for exposing this woke behavior by Tabuya and Shamima.
Radrodro and Tabuya have never denied the allegation.
Sincerely,
A Wise Girmitya.
Shammima Ali should talk to Jack and Jill.
They went up the hill and everyone knows what happened after.
Now she’s saying that someone pushed Jill, how could she? Jill’s actions was closely linked to Jack and she was responsible.
Keep the talanoa out the door. Just like the targeting woman talk.
You all need to grow up.
Why is Australia or any countries job to find things out.
Very much entitled, don’t you think? Wreaks of privileged self.
Remove any MP who displays this sort of behavior.
Just wow!
She should be removed from govt.
It looked like Shamima Ali was wearing some sort of strange phallic tekiteki. Then I realised it was a blowtorch to her head and INTEGRITY!
That’s a ‘brutal’ assessment, Graham! You are also engaging in brutalism!
Get that drift “Shame-Ma”, you’re nothing but one big time loser and a hypocritical bigoted puppet to your current masters of apartheid
Shamima’s forgotten to take her meds again!! Maybe weed will help.
She has a deranged look.
Looks like all the ‘birds of a feather” not only stick together but they will all fall on their swords together. And that is well and truly very long overdue.
Shamima Shamima Shamima!
What a day to be alive to witness this shit from her. No surprises though.
No moral standards as she knows too well that it is ok to have affairs with a married man.
This is our NGO that looks after women. Milking in millions.
I am ashamed to be a woman amongst these leaders.
All donor agencies must now think twice before investing into anything in Fiji.
These NGOs are vile.
They there to benefit themselves and their boyfriends. Like CFL.
Same lot.
Different day.
Audit all their spendings as an NGO.
Audit their performances.
Eeny, meeny, miny, moe
Shamima has lots of useless blow
High Shamima
Low Shamima
Doesn’t know which way to go.
Eeny, meeny, miny, moe
Shamima has lost her glow
Donor fund eater
Praising a man stealer
Doesn’t know which way to tow.
Eeny, meeny, miny, moe
Shamima goes with the misery flow
Begging Rabuka
Endorsing Tabuya
But, hey hey kept quiet on Radrodro.
Eeny, meeny, miny, more
It is all an interesting show
Dig deep
Follow the sheep
Smart funders will slowly come to know.
Eeny, meeny, miny, moe
Sa boko na fame
Sa boko na flame
It is all about to buto.
Please do not play the woman card.
Women in Fiji are tired already.
This is shameful as is.
Just accept the wrong and stand down.
The country is getting tired of both these women.
Hopefully she is the last woman standing to cheer for Tabuya as no one else will.
What empowerment!
What International Women’s Day celebrations!
It is hard to understand what the PM is saying half of the time but surely enough he should not be using empowerment in his speech.
Such a poor performance by this Coalition on women’s rights.
Minister’s bonking, beating women, doping, etc. says a lot about the leadership.
PM himself is a womaniser so can’t expect better.

Listen carefully Viti.
This is the new norm this person wants us to conform to:
1. Screw another married man. It’s ok.
2. Smoke Marijuana. It’s ok.
3. Lie to the public. It’s ok.
4. Misuse taxpayer funded trip. It’s ok.
5. Tell more lies to your boss. It’s ok.
6. Lie about entities like the Australian Police. It’s ok.
7. Do nothing for the country as a Minister. It’s ok.
8. When all else fails then pick up the gender card. It’s ok.
This is the standards that Shamima and Tabuya want women and girls in Fiji to live up to now. Expected norm according to these angels. Kalavos.
Shamina can learn now that she is not a politician.
She needs to look after the useless NGO that she is at.
We don’t need her to tell us what to do.
Living on the hardworking taxpayer aid from overseas for years has made her incapable of thinking wisely. Kana loto lot.
Most disgraceful NGO leader in Fiji.
I never used to believe someone named Frank when he said that donor-funded NGO stalwarts like Shamima and Sashi had a political agenda and wanted to be in Parliament. He was right all along.
Shamima, it’s time to hang your gloves and hand over the reigns, as you are no longer apolitical and increasingly losing it. Law of diminishing returns is clearly taking its course, so your donors should also be thinking twice or even thrice about supporting you and your advocacy groups.
Tabuya, two words, back at ya!
“Ciqoma, Jiloma” lol
Caught with your pants down.
Accept it, admit it, humble yourself and resign.
Alleged doesn’t mean false either, right or right?
Stop misleading the people of Fiji.
Imagine knowing the stories are true because you starred in it and pretending they are not because of one word, ‘alleged’.
Lying straight faced on TV. You’re a walking dangerous precedent that will likely wreak havoc on Fiji in the future if Rabuka doesn’t lance this boil.
Karma fired a warning shot.
Tell the truth because the next one in 2026 will be fatal.
Only two simple questions for you:
1) Did you engage in immoral sex with a fellow married parliamentarian Aseri Radrodro, while his wife slept a few doors down the hall in August 2023, during an official trip to Melbourne last year? Yes or No.
2) Did you use weed or marijuana, an illegal drug, while in Melbourne on a state funded trip in August last year? Yes or No.
You already have the answers. Radrodro knows the answers.
But MOST important of all, GOD knows and sees everything.
Don’t forget, KARMA never misses.
See you all in GE2026!
Shamima mentioned in the FijiVillage article today that Lynda Tabuya is not going to the New York Women’s Global Conference. Could be an ominous sign for LT “Ali adds they are also saddened by the news that the Minister for Women, Children and Social Protection will not be leading the delegation to the Women’s Global Conference in New York. She says they have received confirmation that the Permanent Secretary for Women will be leading the team.”
I’m a Fijian woman. Proud to be one.
Grateful to be here.
This woman does not represent me or any of my friends.
We all got to where we are now through sheer hardwork, tough life lessons and countless personal sacrifices. Not through any of her useless programs.
How dare she make that claim?
We did not choose or elect you! Period.
Amen Sister.
Keep speaking up against this unethical woman. We can make a change if we are brave and bold and stand up for our values.
We are just getting started to let our voices be heard and our signs be seen. We women will march in Suva until the PM removes Tabuya. We will not stop till we are heard. Do it for the children, above all else.
Well done my sisters.
Let’s go!
Time to remove the shame and the claiming fame people out of the government.
We will not tolerate any of this kind of behaviour from any of our leaders. Regardless of their faith, affiliations and gender.
Do right by the people and for the people.
Keep rising, people.
This is the role of the FWCC as per their website:
“The Fiji Women’s Crisis Centre is the only organization raising awareness on violence against women as a human rights violation…”
It does not mention that it also participates in political activities and has the mandate to dictate what political parties do with their members.
Why aren’t the FWCC donors, especially those recognized internationally, questioning the involvement of Shamima Ali in the political affairs of other parties?
Isn’t it time someone calls out the fact that Shamima Ali is using a NFP organisation as her political podium and has been doing so for many years now? Isn’t it time someone really took a look at the FWCC books and question why she has held power for so many years?
What promises has Lynda made to Shamima or the FWCC?
Why is Shamima not saying anything about how Sainiana Radodro must be feeling and what she is going through right now?
Where is the justice for the woman who’s husband has willing engaged in extra-marital affairs with someone who has gone on the public record to state she takes narcotics and has no qualms about sleeping with married men?
There are a lot of questions that need to be asked by any smart journalists left in Fiji on how this entire issue is being handled and why the government is so complacent in taking any action against Lynda and Aseri.
I suppose when you’ve lived in a pigsty all your life, the smell of sh*t doesn’t bother you and becomes a way of life. Anyone saying it stinks is a liar.

Expose Shamima as a hypocrite. She has lived and thrived on this position for too long. She must now go.
That Shamima is standing up for the offender rather than the offended (Sainiana) demonstrates her inability to support real women who are victims and her inability to differentiate between the two. Lynda losing her position in PAP is on Lynda. Shamima wants to be in the spotlight and Lynda provides that space but Shamima’s role has no place in political commentary.
It is clear Shamima is not meeting her KPIs or aligning her public oratory with the organisational values.
Why isn’t the church speaking up against adultery, boooze, weed, lying in government?
Can’t be say anything that would make the rulers of the land look bad, can we?
Silence on the matter is DISTURBING. You don’t get to pick who your morals should apply to and when.
