# THE BIG LIE REACHES THE BIG APPLE. AND THE REST OF THE WORLD AS WELL

Posted on December 31, 2024 23 Comments

Lynda Tabuya‘s monstrous lasulasu-jhoot that her scandalous nude video was meant for her husband and is a private matter is now news across the globe in media outlets owned by Rupert Murdoch’s News Corporation, including the New York Post and papers in Britain, Australia and elsewhere. So the disrepute that she has brought to the People’s Alliance and the Rabuka government in Fiji now extends to the four corners of the earth.

Fiji is making news for all the wrong reasons. Lynda Tabuya – who will know the line in the song, New York, New York, that if you can make it there, you can make it anywhere – is making it for all the wrong reasons and has dragged herself, her party, the Fijian government and the Fijian people into global disrepute.

These headlines are a national embarrassment that makes it even more certain that Lynda Tabuya will be expelled from the People’s Alliance and lose her seat in the parliament. Because at the heart of this story is a big lie that immediately turns the New York Post and other media outlets into purveyors of false reporting.

This is what she tells the paper and other News Corporation publications, just as she has told the Fijian people:

“There is nothing scandalous or illegal or immoral about sharing private videos and images between two consenting adults who are in a relationship, in this case me and my husband”.

It is a lie. As Grubsheet revealed in our previous posting, the person who is filming the video in an unnamed resort on Denarau Island is reportedly Lynda Tabuya’s latest lover – an iTaukei soldier in the British Army.

According to sources familiar with the current PAP disciplinary inquiry into the video, it was this man – who is yet to be publicly identified – who filmed Tabuya cavorting naked in front of her. Whether he is the source of the leak is yet to be established. But let’s just examine Tabuya’s version of the story.

She says she was sharing it with her husband, Rob Semaan, the multi-millionaire co-owner of Fiji’s biggest construction company, Pacific Building Solutions, which has been the recipient of tens of millions of dollars in contracts from the Coalition government.

If it is true that she was sharing it with him, then he must have known she was in the room with another man cavorting for the camera. This would make him not only a cuckold – a man whose wife was cheating him – but a voyeur if the video was meant for his benefit.

Has Rob Semaan been cuckolded? Yes and on multiple occasions, including this and his wife’s “brutal” sex encounter with her fellow minister, Aseri Radrodro, in Room 233 of Melbourne’s Windsor Hotel back in August 2023.

Is he a voyeur who gets off on his wife sending him a video of herself in a hotel room with another man parading her “bush” and butt for the cameras? Sa bera ni macala. Let’s see what Rob Semaan has to say about that.

But having lied in her initial statement, Lynda Tabuya is in all sorts of bother. It is now almost inevitable that she will be expelled from the People’s Alliance for twice having brought the party into disrepute – first with the “sex and illicit drug scandal” – that cost her the deputy leadership of the PAP – and now the astonishing video that will haunt Lynda Tabuya for the remainder of her political career and haunt the People’s Alliance until they get rid of her.

Worse for her, unconfirmed reports are emerging of three separate videos that will form the case against her in the PAP Disciplinary Committee, some of them reportedly with different men present. If this is true, her position is hopeless and she would do well to resign from the Party and the Parliament now rather than be sacked later.

Thousands of Americans will also be reading the New York Post article with more than passing interest. Because Lynda Tabuya and Rob Semaan relieved them of more than $F100-million dollars in unpaid debts when their fat-busting business in the US went broke. These unfortunate investors will undoubtedly be less keen to get their hands on Lynda’s ample physical assets than to get their hands around her throat.

The sacked minister must go altogether and until she does, the People’s Alliance is again mired in scandal with the clock ticking down to the 2026 election. The reputation of the Party, the government and the Prime Minister is at stake. And now also the reputation of Fiji and the Fijian people in the court of global opinion.

A complete and utter disgrace.

The happy couple – are they divorced or married? – left behind thousands of grumpy American investors when their weight loss business collapsed.

But is Rob Semaan not only willingly a cuckold but someone who enjoys watching his wife dance naked for another man?

Answers please, Rob.

BTW, have you thought of setting up a demolition arm of PBS? You don’t need a wrecking ball. Your wife (or is it ex-wife? ) can do it all on her own.

What the hell do I do? Easy. Get rid of her.

Why? Because the public debate is getting more intense. Your political capital is crumbling.

Turaga! I guess it’s only going to get worse from this point if they keep dragging her swift expulsion from the party and from parliament.
Her votes don’t matter. A lot happened between then and now.
A day is a long time in politics. We’re almost in 2025.
All her voters were fooled. Period.
PAP subcommittee won’t need the max 21 days to kick her out of the party.
Na Kalou e kila kece na ka duka kece e vunitaki, caka lo.
God sees all. He’s doing Fiji a favour to get rid of this festering cancer. Will PAP get the hint and follow through?
    Enough is enough!

I note that Dr Shailendra Singh (who has joined with Shamima Ali, Roshika Deo et al in defending Lynda’s porn video clip) is also a member of the Fiji Governments ‘National Security & Defence Review’.

The Minister for Home Affairs (Pio T.) recently released the Review’s report which found an ‘erosion of public trust’ in Government including the Judiciary. The Review raises the issue of the lack of trust in government as a national security issue.

Lynda’s latest video purportedly recorded by her soldier lover at the Hilton resort on Denarau, heightens the level of distrust in Government and its institutions.

Jaoji Savou and some others have correctly surmised that this is a national security issue, given Lynda’s position as a Cabinet Minister who is privy to confidential Cabinet briefs etc. She took an Oath that, under the Westminister system of Government Fiji follows, requires the highest standards of behaviour. Cavorting naked in a porn clip in an extra marital fling is unacceptable. Cannot Shailendra, Shamima, Roshika et al see it this way?

    Cannot.

‘…Shailendra Singh (who has joined with Shamima Ali, Roshika Deo et al in defending Lynda’s porn video clip) is also a member of the Fiji Governments ‘National Security & Defense Review’.’

Ha ha ha! I’ll be a monkey’s uncle if this toady is an expert on national security and defense matters.

This would come close to topping the most cruel joke Fijians have to endure everyday, save for the porn/weed/bonking queen of tatti’s antics.

This toady being a defense and security expert would be funny if it weren’t such a serious matter.

National security threats Fiji faces are from within Fiji-heck this coalition government itself is a threat to security threat. Government must get serious about peace, progress, and stability our nation is in need of.

Women’s NGOs, local media, and government are all corrupted beyond belief.

The general breakdown of law and order (robberies, street brawls, bold & brazen daylight street crimes) are what ordinary people fear.

The routine lying and cheating by people in high offices, govt minister repeatedly participating in and making porn videos are national security problems.

Importation, distribution and increasing use of drugs by Fijians has reached epidemic levels. Our mental health professional tell us so.

Drugs, alcohol, porn, combined with inept, corrupt, and incompetent policing are national security issues.

If only local ‘journalists’ took their fingers out for once and honestly address real issues impacting the daily quality of lives of our people.

Only the Minister (Pio Tikoduadua) who appointed Shailendra and others to the Defence & Security Review team, can explain the criteria they used to select people to the panel.
It is a question Fiji’s gutless media should hsve the courage to ask.
        But dont hold your breath!

I have been following Shamima and the lot for many years. What I have seen with this feminist and supposedly women’s activists groups is that they jump to conclusions without actually understanding in full entirety what is happening and how wide the negative impacts will be for the country, its donors, the children, and the women. They tend to defend using the word patriarchy when this has nothing much to do with it.

I would suggest that these feminist organisations and their CEOs as well at governance boards get a crash course on PR101 and basic violation of rights vs basic responsibilities that we expect from public sector workforce. I have till today not seen (in my nearly 30 years of this sector experience with women’s rights and violence) there being any women and men MP flaunting their penis, breast, and bottoms naked to be regarded as a citizen worthy of a public service and good. These are sexual acts and when in public eye called pornography.

This is where it stops. Tabuya is most welcomed to do any sort of video that she sees fit and share her video with whoever she wants to as an ordinary citizen but not while holding a government office.

If what is in front of us is what the Shamima’s of the world think is absolutely acceptable behaviour then the women and girls of Fiji are totally destroyed under their NGOs. Hence, the high number of cases of violence and abuse on women in Fiji as women are encouraged to do self inflicted harm with conscience and with “power and money” and blame others. These women are equally to blame themselves for their actions and consented videos.

And Why is Aseri still the minister of education?Simply because Rabuka does not have balls and is too scared to take a stand,he allowed Aseri to lead a ministry where the youths of the country are involved and you see how many issues we have in our schools. And who all remembers what Biman was messaging the Japanese lady from Nadi. And how many ministers have changes against them at FICAC which apparently has been closed by a controversial commissioner. We have a fat army and police sucking up the funds and can not control crime or safeguard the constitution. What a waste of tax payer funds are these lot in parliament on higher salaries where as the poor are struggling to put food on the table ,no assistance after the floods, higher vat, higher fuel prices and the list goes on.

Thanks, GD, for keeping us informed on many critical issues that the media has failed miserably to do. On Lynda saga, you have kept us abreast on her lies and deeds.

Of course, she has her own defenders, and one ardent defender is Shamima Ali, Shailendra Singh, and the likes.

It is disappointing to see Shamima’s apparent misunderstanding of ” gender based violence” and “cyber bullying.” If she considers the Lynda scandal to fall under these serious issues, it raises questions about her capacity to lead in this critical field. Such mischaracterisations risk trivialising the experiences of countless women and girls who face genuine and harrowing instances of gender violence and cyberbullying.

I empathize deeply with those who endure real struggles yet see their cases handled with less vigor or seriousness. For many ordinary women and girls, addressing their plight seems like a mere box ticking exercise. Their experiences, it appears, do not carry the same weight for Shamima as those involving politically aligned individuals like Lynda. Her selective activism undermines the credibility of her work and raises concerns about potential bias driven by personal or political affiliations.

Finally, I wish my best wishes for the new year to GD, contributors to this platform, and the readers. This blog serves as an invaluable source of information, which the mainstream media fails to disseminate freely, factually, and independently.

GD, I remember calling Fiji Police 3 times when Linda’s shared the video of the child who was in government custody and care after she was beaten by her father.
Fiji Police told me to email my report to them. I said I am calling them from overseas and I would like to have the report taken on the phone and I will also email them a copy of the report or they can too. They denied me that offer. 1 was a senior woman police officer handling sensitive cases for children.

So here we go. The Police can jump up and down on this case for Lynda but the child that Lynda abused wasn’t important enough.

Fiji has continued to fail its most vulnerable children in their care. I am not surprised that they will continue to do this by having Lynda as their MP. Fiji is a total disgrace and I will never trust any worker there with my child. It is a disturbing country where harm has been normalised on children.

The police and the ministry that should be looking after children are busy harming children. Don’t get me started on Safe Children Fiji. They are a bunch of liars and idiots also parading in conference and writing nonsense memos. They have no relevance and place in today’s society. What Fiji needs is a clean sweep with these NGOs, Fiji Police and all government agencies.

My partner showed me the video.
A mutual friend sent it to her.
    We deleted it afterward.
    Nothing special.
My partner is by a long shot more beautiful (inside and out), confident, generous, intelligent, open-minded, and classy.
She also comes from money (earned, not stolen) but there are no sex videos.
I tested her once by asking if we can make one, for our own viewing. She said, no. And that was the end of the story. In my mind, it makes her very, very special 🙂
For couples who value themselves, who needs sex videos when you can record it in your minds and feel those rare special emotions in your souls.
That’s where it matters. Not some flimsy digital recording.

Usually man or male animals are castrated ,so they cannot engage in sexual activities.
Can we not do that to women as well or female animals.
In future coalition may want to do the same for their members.
We have already one good example .

The spreading of the Lynda video to the international media may have an effect on tourism numbers, given she was the Minister responsible for ‘family values’ and painted herself as a crusader against pornography. It will also reflect on the Government and on the Fijian people.

We may see a fall in numbers in the coming months (it takes time for the potential tourists to decide). These being people whose personal and family values regard pornography in any form to be a ‘No No’ and will not expose themselves or family to the potential of it.

We may also see the arrival of tourists Fiji don’t need, the ones who prey on women and children and engage in dubious sexual acts and make videos! And they know from media reports that an unnamed resort on Denarau Island was the location of the filming.

This video and its fallout is trashing Fiji’s reputation on the world stage!

  15. Viber’s policy that Linda violated says

    December 31, 2024 at 1:46 pm

So Lynda was the Minister in-charge of combatting pornography. This means online and in person harm from sexual content and activity.

She sent and shared that video over Viber. As a minister or MP, did she not realise that while using Viber to do so she has abused the policy that Viber advocates for. That itself is a violation or breach of using a platform safely for reasons that is wrong. Sharing sexual content on Viber, whether consented or not, is PROHIBITED! Linda agreed that she shared that content, right? So she has violated the terms of use of a platform.

    Viber states:
    Sexual Content

We prohibit pornographic content, nudity in certain non-sexual contexts may be permitted, such as breastfeeding, we will report child sexual content to the authorities.

We allow a level of nudity within the context of a family-friendly setting, for example, breastfeeding and photos of art and sculptures. We do not however allow sexually explicit content or pornographic content. We may remove any content that depicts, threatens or promotes sexual violence, sexual assault or that sexually exploits an individual. We may also remove content that displays, advocates for or coordinates sexual acts.

Content that seeks to exploit or harm children by exposing them to inappropriate content, exposing them to content that may impair their physical, mental or moral development, asking for personally identifiable details or otherwise, is strictly prohibited. Additionally, Content that includes or glorifies the sexual abuse and sexual exploitation of children, including child pornography, constitutes a serious violation of the fundamental rights of children and the particular victim of such content and is also strictly prohibited. We will remove and may report to the applicable authorities (if required under applicable law) any Content that exploits children immediately when we become aware of it.

The bigger issue is sharing of sexual content on a digital site that prohibits the user to do so.

Viber has its own Terms and Conditions. Linda Tabuya violated these TCs by using Viber to post that video. Whether consented or not between adults, the video should not have ever been uploaded on Viber.

Did Tabuya not know the rules that apply on digital platforms for self and other peoples safety? These rules are common across all platforms.

As a Minister for Women and Children or MP she should know this and should have practiced ultimate caution. Sharing of sexual content is prohibited on Viber.
