# THE CORRUPT DRUNK WISHES US ALL HAPPY FIJI DAY. SERIOUSLY, BARBARA. WHO THE HELL ARE YOU?

The drunken slug plays Queen for Fiji Day

Barbara Malimali is under investigation for abuse of office as Chair of the Electoral Commission after a colourful career that includes a drunken episode on a beach in Tuvalu and in a judge’s bed that led to a criminal trial being aborted.

She has also displayed corrupt conduct as the newly-appointed Commissioner of FICAC in clearing her close friend, Lynda Tabuya, of wrongdoing and allowing her to falsely claim that her spouse’s millions ought not to be counted in her election income declaration.

In the latest scandal to envelop “Bad Barbie”, she has been shamelessly fraternising with Siromi Turaga and John Rabuku when she is supposed to be investigating Turaga for abuse of office and when John Rabuku is supposed to be investigating her.

But she now gives Fiji the middle finger by playing de-facto “Queen” and issuing a Fiji Day message that is so tacky and inappropriate that Grubsheet’s first reaction has been an involuntary urge to puke. It is simply grotesque.

Seriously. Who does this shameless hussy think she is? Barbie the windbag makes the astonishing claim that Fijians went into Independence Day in 1970 with trepidation and fear. Bullshit. What would she know. To those of us old enough to recall the events of 54 years ago, there was no fear but soaring hopes for the nation’s future as a thriving multiracial melting pot determined to make Fiji a success in the world.

It is the miserable racists and feather-bedders like Barbara Malimali who have trashed the dreams of hundreds of thousands of Fijians and are propelling us down the Zimbabwe road to banana republic status. So keep your sanctimonious nonsense to yourself, you ignorant harridan.

Who the f**k are you to issue a Fiji Day message? A complete wannabe and non-event whose record of drunken escapades might be papered over by her equally corrupt kai vata but are there on the public record for all to see.

We’ll have a good Fiji Day when you and your ilk are dead and buried (figuratively will do), you preposterous, preening slug.

After the events of recent weeks, you could at least have the decency and humility to remain silent over the Fiji Day holiday . But to lurch onto the public stage in a “me, me, me” exercise of self aggrandisement and limelight-hogging is genuinely astonishing and obscene.

“A life free of corruption”? Give us a break. We are being deluged with corruption with you and your lot. What a disgrace.

What do you expect when you have a slut who has worked in a powerhouse Mickey Mouse country such as Tuvalu. She is here to impart on Fiji what she achieved in Tuvalu. She obviously has the ideal experience to take Fiji the way of Tuvalu. That is the only reason she was appointed by force.
We have the AG who is taking Fiji the way of the Cook Islands and others who have served in Solomon Island and Niue and I am sure in Kiribati and Vanuatu.
Fiji is well on the way to go the way of the Pacific family and their values.
The exuberance is justified, in their minds.

    Barbara:
“Today, civil servants from all over Fiji will be doing their part to clean up the streets and neighbours of our major centres.”
“Whilst FICAC may not be physically cleaning the streets, we are cleaning the nation of corruption.”

    Note from Fijians to Barbara:
You might as well be the street sweeper.
We have more trust and respect in a street sweeper than those at FICAC.

No mention of Late A D Patel, Patel was uncompromisingly committed to a vision of an independent Fiji, with full racial integration. Add to humiliation, they renamed AD Patel Stadium to King Charles Park in Nadi.

After the saga of the Pulewai interview by Stephen Dziedzic that was nixed by the Fiji Government , a more “balanced” take from Lice Movono in the new ABC article. Interestingly leaves out one key detail of the Tuvalu saga, but includes this interesting response from Malimali:

“If people say that somebody partying or having a couple of drinks makes one unsuitable for a job, then that would disqualify most of us,” she said.Having a job like this, I can’t go out and have a couple of beers?”

Lice Movono and ‘balanced’ should never be in the same sentence. I have heard this “reporter” on several occasions leaving out details that may discredit this government or be detrimental to anyone iTaukei.
One recent item presented by her in reference to the Miss Universe title was so biased I had to research it all over again to confirm her bias. She implied Nadine Roberts was the real winner, sort of blaming the young ‘Vulagi’ declared winner as being in breach. At no point did she report that Nadine was a perennial entrant or that she was married to the sponsor or that she hardly was a “Fijian” to be able to contest this ancient feast for the male eyeballs.
And poor old aunty ABC keeps using this excuse of a reporter for her version of ‘news’ from the Pacific.
BTW, this item was accurately reported by Grubsheet. Kudos GD.

Since joining ABC, ‘Laulasu Lice’s’ ego has swelled as much as her weight. ABC is bad for Lice’s health and Lice is bad for ABC’s reputation.

Barbara and Lice are the same idiots. They were both Hibiscus contestants in 1988 and both of them were unplaced!

The iTaukei people in parliament; judiciary and senior civil servants are on taxpayer funded gravy train, enjoying unlimited power and influence, as never before, receiving benefits in cash and in-kind (duty free cars), being chaffeur driven around, free IT equipment and access to internet, and the list goes on.

Therefore, they appear to be supporting, empathising and in cahoots with each others interests and well being, because they consider they are one race, one nation and one people and one country. They can do what they like and get away with it, because they are in the majority and in control and command of the militarily, judiciary, civil service and other instruments of government.

We are fighting a lost cause!

A proper test for FICAC would be to have a look at that tax holiday and whether there are undeclared conflicts of interest amounting to corruption. For tax payers that would go a long way toward restoring faith in good governance.

She had notions or delusions of royalty with the wave she gave – only missing was the white glove! And when she said on her appointment speaking about herself in the third person: ” A new Commissioner (of Ficac) has been appointed, the new Commissioner will decide”. Yes you majesty, you have spoken. Your loyal subjects bow down to your greatness and may your reign be without end.
Yes Barbara who?? – no so sooner was she usurped into the role of Ficac commissioner – a role to figurately keep the house clean and straight – and she self enthrones herself into the position of Malimali Queen of the empire. Puke, yuk.

Malimali- the self loving, self obsessed, narcissist, blockhead buffoon- who the hell is she to wish Fijians anything on Fiji Day ? Really WHO the hell does she think she is, a Joker.

Really- sometimes I think that the British did us a disservice by granting Independence in 1970, at least would have kept the likes of this Buffoon, and her mates & boot lickers locked up in the villages planting Dalo & Cassava-sparing us the indignity of being lectured by this Loser !!

Instead the British did themselves a service – they said good riddance to Fiji because we don’t deserve them. Just look at their international aid to Fiji in comparison to other aid countries – the lowest ever!

Lazy Lice’s latest on Malimali is just sickening. She is using ABC as a campaign vehicle and to do personal favors for her friend. This is what passes for journalism at ABC nowadays. GD this need a special article from you. According to Lazy Lice: “Fiji observers and academics echo Barbara Malimali’s views that FICAC was misused under the previous regime to target political opponents. Now, under the coalition government, she’s committed to restoring FICAC’s true purpose— protecting Fiji from corruption and serving the people”. Lice forgot to mention what’s obvious to Blind Freddy: Malimali’s role is to protect corrupt government ministers. So much for a new era of media freedom in Fiji.

About Grubsheet

Graham Davis
Grubsheet Feejee is the blogsite of Graham Davis, an award-winning journalist turned communications consultant who was the Fijian Government’s principal communications advisor for six years from 2012 to 2018 and continued to work on Fiji’s global climate and oceans campaign up until the end of the decade.

Fiji-born to missionary parents and a dual Fijian-Australian national, Graham spent four decades in the international media before returning to Fiji to work full time in 2012. He reported from many parts of the world for the BBC, ABC, SBS, the Nine and Seven Networks and Sky News and wrote for a range of newspapers and magazines in Australia, New Zealand and Fiji.

Graham launched Grubsheet Feejee in 2011 and suspended writing for it after the Fijian election of 2014, by which time he was working at the heart of government. But the website continued to attract hits as a background resource on events in Fiji in the transition back to parliamentary democracy.

Grubsheet relaunches in 2020 at one of the most critical times in Fijian history, with the nation reeling from the Covid-19 crisis and Frank Bainimarama’s government shouldering the twin burdens of incumbency and economic disintegration.

Grubsheet’s sole agenda is the national interest; the strengthening of Fiji’s ties with the democracies; upholding equal rights for all citizens; government that is genuinely transparent and free of corruption and nepotism; and upholding Fiji’s service to the world in climate and oceans advocacy and UN Peacekeeping.
