# THE LONG WAIT CONTINUES

Posted on March 2, 2024 21 Comments

Wondering what is happening with the investigation into the antics of the Great Temptress in Room 233? The Fiji Times finally seizes on the story to tell us. Nothing.

This suggests one of two things. The People’s Alliance is torn between doing the right thing and recommending that the Minister for Women and Children be sacked and needing whatever support she still has for an early election after June. Or it intends to turn a blind eye to her “weed” and Jack Daniels- fuelled sexual encounter with Aseri Radrodro in Melbourne and is hoping we are all going to forget about it.

We are not.

Yet the Fiji Times continues to promote the Minister for Bonking and Weed as if nothing has happened. The editorial in Sunday’s Weekend Times.

The whole world now knows what happened in room 233 and how Aseri was sacked after the revelations came about however the great temptress is still galavanting and enjoying fine wine at every opportunity including turning up at Kadavu rugby matches to bolster her support. Her tactics will not work this time she has failed her voters and tarnished Fiji image by indulging in brutal sex and use of weed whilst on tax payer funded trip and lying about it is too big crime for disciplinary committee to give her clean chit. To be sacked asap and warm the backbench with lover Aseri.

Word is the Opposition are working very hard to get their hands on the original evidence of this tryst between the bedsheets. You see such a scandal is enough to get them to make an appeal to the President that the Coalition Government is unable to lead and has the potential to ignite a call for fresh elections as the pressure will mount against the utterances of the PM that the two scandalous Ministers had not done the adulterous act.

Reliable word is that the President has already informed the Opposition of which he was a former member to bring him hard evidence or a statement from one of the directly involved parties and he will do the necessary including asking the people of Fiji that the Rabuka led Government is deceitful, conniving and utterly irresponsible .

The best thing to do was at the time of the scandalous text messages making it out on social media, the PM should have stood down the two Ministers and demanded for a Commission of Enquiry or an investigation involving the Police and those able to determine acts of an abuse of office.

The reluctance to do so and now months later into when the incident broke, any confirmations that adultery and God forsake use of drugs was true will end the Coalition Government. The people are already razor thin on their patience and all indications are that they are ready for a General Elections which will definitely end Rabuka’s comeback into national leadership.

Yes bank your cards on it. The obvious manipulations of those advising PM and his own poor leadership and personalisation of various issues of national importance will end his career. Rabuka no longer has it ! He is here only to fill up his pockets, use the diplomatic community for his own advancement including that for his family; and get his own friends including himself freed from jail!

Rabuka and his cronies know perfectly that Bainimarama will throw them in jail should he return to governance and that includes Biman Prasad and the whole lot! There is so much to go on we don’t know if any of the current Coalition government will escape the orange uniform ! Their corruption and bad governance gives Bainimarama so much to keep them inside for a long long time.

So pray hard Fiji that the Opposition does not get lucky ! God forbid if they do !

    So true Ashamed.

This was a test which was failed and what a great thing as it revealed already how weak the leadership is. A seemingly easy decision but self interests have prevailed.

The security of a nation is dependent on the leader not having skeletons in the closet as these things can be used against them. Next time look at the candidate and see that their womanising or fraud or abuse etc etc etc will inevitably lead to bigger national issues. This must be part of the vetting process. It absolutely is relevant, if not a judge of moral compass, character and integrity is enough but also affects the security of a nation when they cannot make a simple swift decision because of their personal interests. Hope everyone can see how important the past is. Fiji needs fresh blood.

PAP loses my vote permanently if she stays, along with many others. Her 15k sheep will do jackshyte to win them the election again in 2026.
We’ll make sure this sleeping giant issue will come back to haunt them in 2026 if they’re all talk and no action.
Grow a spine Peoples Alliance and some balls.
    Decide wisely.
    We’re watching.

Sitiveni Rabuka and Biman Prasad are the biggest liars under the sun. Deputy PM Mr Doomsday predictor Gavoka is no better. And Manoa Kamikamica is so circumspect, like a dog chasing its tail, that he couldn’t even bring himself to call out the US and EU by name at a a WTO Meeting earlier this week, parts of which were shown on national TV, referring only to them euphemistically as “Fishery Subsidising Nations”.

This earns him the nickname Mr Beat-around-the-bush. Do you seriously expect these guys to tell the truth in the Tabuya investigation? Of course, they would lie through their teeth to save her.

As for Biman, quite apart from the fact that he is being investigated by the Elections Supervisor for an allegation of misinforming her office on his disclosures, he and his fellow NFP hack Richard Naidu should be charged for misleading parliament and the public alleging criminal negligence in the public debt situation inherited from the previous Govt.

After a world recession from Covid, u would expect the Debt to GDP ratio to rise as the GDP denominator shrinks relative to the debt stock. But Prasad and Naidu went out of their way to raise public alarm to justify drastic cuts to govt spending, raise taxes and give tax breaks to their cronies like Fiji Water that Naidu’s law firm represents.

Prasad and his Coalition govt contrary to what they preached blithely went on to increase the stock of public debt by another $1.5bn, the very action they were crying foul over with the previous government. The public are not fools. The manipulation going on is obvious. It will continue in the Tabuya investigation.

It’s a known fact in certain circles that Tabuya is a drug user. It’s in the national interest to know who she buys illegal drugs from? Fiji Police? Intelligence?
The other update we’re all waiting for is not if but WHEN the People’s Alliance is going to ask Tabuya to resign or sack her, if she puts self interest above party and country.

Lynda Tabuya and Sainiana Radrodro are both lawyers. In October, 2023, she was replaced by Filipe Tuisawau before the story broke out mercilessly on the web.

Think about the defense her party played but failed. When she knew there wasn’t any concrete witness except the deal made with the crooked Radrodro couple, she filed a complaint with the Police to protect her or even prolong any investigation. At this point every attempt to sack her meant that Aseri goes with her too. Aseri took what the coaltion parties offered him to save the Coalition.

So it leaves Sainiana and Tabuya to save Aseri’s political career. Fiji has to bear the shame for this triangle love affair. Can’t renegade on the coaltion adulterers affair they had can they ?

Aseri walked free leaving the two desperate Fijian women hanging shamelessly

Sainiana will be called to testify if the police hope to take up on the challenge and forward it to Rabuku, the acting DPP. But who did she press charges on? Keyboard warriors?. If there are no charges to be made then the PAP party has no excuse to not proceed to sack her. But Sainiana will testify publicly whether she likes it or not.

Funnily we know the Opposition is telling Sainiana that Aseri will never be taken back to anything in government. What if she decides to end them all? Might be a good thing for her to tell all and save Fiji LOL????

Could it be that she has one too many nuts by the neck and could suffocate them if she drowns herself?

One must remember, she is after all the biggest party hopper in Fiji politics. I bet she has a secret or 2 about every man and woman from these parties.

In this age when there are no longer politicians left who look after the interests of the electorate, a weak leader like Rabuka will have no interest in removing Lynda especially if she has an insurance policy against him.

She has been shameless with all that is out in the open now, I bet she wont mind adding a few more adventures to her already best seller storybook should she be threatened.

Lynda Tabuya is willing to sink the PAP ship and Coalition government if she doesn’t get her way.
This woman is shameless and desperate. She knows she’s got most of the men by their golf balls, lol..cheapest woman politician in Fiji’s history.
Not related to her but I’m ashamed to be from Kadavu. Isa where are the real Fijian values we respect and admire?
    Sack her.
Imagine the damage she’s going to do if they show her what a bunch of scared men they are by letting her get away scot free. Biggest political joke of a party.
If she can get away with disrespecting this bunch of weak men, with her criminal drug and sex scandal, oilei Viti, my heart bleeds for you and our future generations.
What are we teaching our children?
History will not remember this government kindly.

A shameless hussy, totally undeserving of the portfolio she leads.
It’s clear she has no ounce of shame coz she keeps standing up and making a further ridicule of herself.
Because of her the PM has lost credibility as he rightly should have stood both Aseri and her down after news of their bonking incident surfaced and ensured an independent investigation. But word is PM will do jackshit cos she’s going around saying that she was the primary funder for PAP and they’ll turn a blind eye to this and she’ll get off unscathed.

This Tabuya-Radrodro saga reveals a few leadership lessons and some that I have quietly observed:
    1. Rabuka remains useless as a leader. This is seen from the day he started the investigation. He failed all parties and processes.
    2. The Coalition is running thin on its morals. Tabuya can walk all over them and screw each one of them and still be the queen B of all things awkward.
    3. Women in leadership have been brought to shame, doubt and protection because of the way this case was handled and the way a woman of disgrace continues to look important in the society. Women have lost trust in Tabuya.
    4. Role model standards have gone to the gutter for girls. Never before was something of such level of behavior been entertained in Parliament and Tabuya has created a new accepted norm for drug misuse, abuse, and infidelity.
    5. The Coalition cannot protect our women and children. Especially after what Tabuya did to the girl who was abused and the digital harm she carried out while the child was in state care. That itself is a failure of all safety and protection that should be accorded to a child and Tabuya failed miserably. In fact, it is a case of the state’s failure to protect any child under their care. It might come back to haunt Fiji at international level in child justice forums in years to come. Just watch the space.

@Vili, the drug use alone should set off alarm bells and trigger a formal police investigation with the subcommittee investigation. We have a drug war on our hands and weed users are likely to upgrade to become meth users. Any honourable MP in any democracy would have resigned.
Any PM worth his title would have asked her to step down while investigations were ongoing.
Sex scandals are about GOOD GOVERNANCE. In bigger democracies like the US, they’ve shamed and brought down presidencies.
In this tin pot democracy, Monica Lewinsky is still running amok, cutting ribbons and attending government functions in her pretty tea party costumes. What a joke! All because of what stolen money can buy.
Wake up Fiji. This is only the tip of the iceberg. Dangerous, dangerous precedent we’re setting here!!!!

About Grubsheet

Graham Davis
Grubsheet Feejee is the blogsite of Graham Davis, an award-winning journalist turned communications consultant who was the Fijian Government’s principal communications advisor for six years from 2012 to 2018 and continued to work on Fiji’s global climate and oceans campaign up until the end of the decade.

Fiji-born to missionary parents and a dual Fijian-Australian national, Graham spent four decades in the international media before returning to Fiji to work full time in 2012. He reported from many parts of the world for the BBC, ABC, SBS, the Nine and Seven Networks and Sky News and wrote for a range of newspapers and magazines in Australia, New Zealand and Fiji.

Graham launched Grubsheet Feejee in 2011 and suspended writing for it after the Fijian election of 2014, by which time he was working at the heart of government. But the website continued to attract hits as a background resource on events in Fiji in the transition back to parliamentary democracy.

Grubsheet relaunches in 2020 at one of the most critical times in Fijian history, with the nation reeling from the Covid-19 crisis and Frank Bainimarama’s government shouldering the twin burdens of incumbency and economic disintegration.

Grubsheet’s sole agenda is the national interest; the strengthening of Fiji’s ties with the democracies; upholding equal rights for all citizens; government that is genuinely transparent and free of corruption and nepotism; and upholding Fiji’s service to the world in climate and oceans advocacy and UN Peacekeeping.
