# THE PEOPLE’S ALLIANCE GIVES THE QUEEN OF TARTS FREE REIN TO WAGE A VENDETTA

Posted on February 7, 2025 24 Comments

It beggars belief that the People’s Alliance didn’t gag Lynda Tabuya from further comment in exchange for keeping her in the Party and the parliament after the public furore over her pornographic nude video. Instead she is all over the media in Fiji and overseas threatening those she accuses of leaking the video with legal action when what they did was clearly in the public interest.

The transference of blame is astonishing and is yet another example of Lynda Tabuya’s total absence of self-awareness. She was the Minister for Women, Children and Social Protection, for God’s sake. She had already been found guilty by the People’s Alliance of a “sex and illicit drug scandal” in Room 233 with her fellow minister, Aseri Radrodro, and been stripped of the Party’s deputy leadership. And then as Co-Chair of the government’s Task Force on Pornography, she made a pornographic video that cost her her ministerial position and has added to her notoriety as someone completely without morals or judgment.

Yet instead of being chastened, Lynda Tabuya has taken the PAP’s decision not to expel her from the Party and the parliament as some kind of vindication and a justification to go on the war path. Her public targeting of Victor Lal at Fijileaks and Alexandra Forwood with threats of legal action and even extradition to Fiji is totally bizarre.

Victor Lal of Fijileaks

She hasn’t got a snowflakes chance in hell of sustaining a case against them in Britain – in the case of Victor Lal – or in Australia in the case of Alex Forwood. They didn’t “leak” the video clip of Lynda Tabuya’s gyrations for titillation let alone commercial gain.

In the case of Victor Lal, he sent it to the Prime Minister, Sitiveni Rabuka, and the Deputy Prime Minister, Manoa Kamikamica, as Lynda Tabuya’s co-chair of the Pornography Task Force to alert them to a shocking breach of ministerial conduct.

And in the case of Alex Forwood, she sent it to the Ashton-Lewis Commission of Inquiry into the “rotten” circumstances of Barbara Malimali‘s appointment as FICAC Commissioner and it was admitted into evidence. Why? Because Barbara Malmali closed a FICAC investigation into her close friend for not declaring her husband’s assets to the Electoral Office knowing that Tabuya’s claim that she was not still married to Rob Semaan was a lie.

Alexandra Forwood

In both cases, there was a clear public interest in the actions taken by Victor Lal and Alex Forwood. And pursuing them in the courts in the UK and Australia, let alone having them extradited to Fiji, is a fantasy. It isn’t going to happen.

Instead, the longer this farce continues to play out in the media locally and overseas, the more focus there will be on Lynda Tabuya’s own scandalous conduct – the drug taking, the adultery, the lies and then the astonishing spectacle of the Minister for Women and Children and Co-Chair of the government’s Pornography Task Force making a pornographic video herself.

It just doesn’t get any better for international journalists looking for a juicy story and it has already begun with the Radio New Zealand story below that rakes over the coals again for a foreign audience who will be dumbfounded that someone like Lynda Tabuya, as a senior minister in the Fijian government, got away with such conduct. Because rest assured that in Britain and Australia, she wouldn’t have lasted 10 minutes in any government or political party for such scandalous antics.

All that Lynda Tabuya’s vendetta is going to do is drag the international spotlight onto the quality of the Fijian government that allows one of its ministers to behave with such licentious abandon. And a spotlight on the political party that gives her a home when she has twice brought it into “serious disrepute” – as the PAP finding against Tabuya for what happened in Room 233 described it back in March.

It is astonishing that the Prime Minister and the General Secretary of the People’s Alliance, Sila Balawa, haven’t placed a gag order on Lynda Tabuya. Because she is continuing to highlight her poor judgment and their poor judgment in having allowed her to behave in a manner that has damaged them, the Party, the government and Fiji’s reputation for accountability from its elected representatives.

Lynda Tabuya was at least absent from yesterday’s announcement by the Porn Task Force that the Fijian people are now downloading pornography at an unbelievable rate for a country of our size – 15 terabytes a day – which poses an increasing threat to the welfare of our young people, including reports of children being coerced into posing for explicit images in exchange for money.

Someone clearly realised that the presence of the Co-Chair of the Task Force who actually makes pornography might have raised a few eyebrows. But take it from someone with experience in these matters on both sides of the fence – PR and the media. Sitiveni Rabuka and Sila Balawa need to tell Lynda Tabuya to back off on her vendetta against Victor Lal and Alex Forwood. Or Fiji’s image will continue to be sullied and international interest in this saga will haunt the PAP all the way to election day.

—————-

No wonder Lynda’s husband, Rob Semaan, “doesn’t want to get involved”. Attracting publicity like this when there are so many skeletons in your closet is crazy.

At least she was absent from all of this…

The People’s Alliance is clearly suffering a serious internal backlash against continuing to give the Queen of Tarts refuge.

How else to explain this bizarre story on today’s Fiji Sun front page?

“We didn’t do it because she is electorally popular”. Oh really? Then why the hell would you do it at all?

These people are delusional and would be well advised to shut the eff up. Because all it is doing is degrading the image of the PAP as a credible political force.

POSTSCRIPT:

Grubsheet has had multiple messages suggesting that Lynda Tabuya shows classic symptoms of bipolar disorder – the narcissism, the constant demands for attention, the mood swings, the licentious sexual conduct.

Maybe the Permanent Secretary for Justice, Selina Kuruleca, can better use her skills in psychotherapy to assist the government’s sole backbencher than her absence of legal skills to attend meetings of the Judicial Services Commission. Because God knows Lynda needs help.

Unless, of course, Salesi Temo and Tomasi Bainivalu also need analysing, which is quite possible given their own bizarre conduct.

Although my law is a little bit rusty; but I am of the opinion that under Article 10, of the European Convention on Human Rights (ECHR), Victor Lal has the right to hold opinions, express, receive and impart information and ideas without interference regardless of frontiers. He is also protected under different legal Statutes as a practising “journalist”.

    The UK Courts have said;

“Freedom of expression constitutes one of the essential foundations of democratic soceity…It is applicable not only to “informaton” or “ideas” that are favouably received or regarded as offensive or as a matter of indifference but also to those that offend, shock or disturb…” (Sunday Times V UK (No.2) [1992] 14 EHRR 123).

Lynda Tabuya is bluffing with her rhetoric which is bound to backfire on her with all her antics and the resulting publicity that is expected to follow and destroy her credibility irreparably as an MP/public servant.

Weedy porny is gonna do nothing of the sort she threatens to.

It’s all a monkey dance to distract her electorate – the dimwitted who’d vote for her no matter.

The [1992] 14 EHRR 123) reference is meaningless to the brilliant and incomparable legal minds in our judiciary led by Santa Clause.

In fact, Lady Chief Justice of England and Wales The Baroness Carr of Walton on-the-Hill (sourced from Wikipedia) must make time to meet with our most highly-rated and respected and most esteemed Santa Clause about anything to do with legal matters before the UK Courts.

Satan Santa Clause is a scholar and a gentleman and a fountain of knowledge that’d greatly benefit the Lady Chief Justice and the people of the UK.

It’s not for nothing the world looks on in reverence and awe at Fiji’s judiciary.

Most of the world are astounded beyond belief with our unrivaled quality of judicial services.

    Happy Friday GD,

Almost all defamation cases that I’ve heard or read of is after an organisation or an individual has been falsely accused and or convicted and later exonerated.

This is not the case with LT. She has admitted that it’s her in the video?

So what chance of any successful litigation!

What caught my attention in the NZ media is PAP’s new name – PORN ALLIANCE PARTY!

This name shall carry them all the way to the GE 2026 since they are the Producers of the new project (movie) – the National Task Force against Pornography and in it they have its Co-Chair as as its main actress – the Naked Dancing Queen, Lynda Tabuya.

The big question is: Will the movie and the actress make it to the Oscars?

PAP is counting on the #s LT (a fitting acronym) will pull in 2026 elections.

Fijians must stand for integrity. I wish for Fiji, a party and leadership that will nurture the Itaukei to take charge in their own land. their welfare, their prosperity, their future, their role as custodians, and the gist, their will to share it honourably with all.

There are 5 other women MPs in Fiji’s parliament. There are many men MPs.

Why is it that only Tabuya keeps showcasing her nudes around and no one else is?
She needs to learn basic mannerisms and a crash course of self dignity first.
Definitely cannot be trusted with anything. That includes any text messages and other confidential information because her phone is forever hacked or she didn’t consent to things. That’s dangerous for a person in public office. How can the public trust her with any digital information?

PORN ALLIANCE PARTY (PAP) – It’s a deception party that real Kaiviti should never vote for in 2026. It’s against the principles of what the real indigenous Fijians stand for in life, their culture, traditions and reverence to the Almighty Living God, Yahweh!

All Indigenous Fijians should unite under one party only but not the PORN ALLIANCE PARTY of the coupster Rabuka and his band of “laveliga-squad wagons” who cannot tell SRL to terminate the porn lady of the party…. we are painting a wrong picture to the children of Fiji, that it is okay if they are involve in sex-scandals, because nothing will happen to them…this is disgusting! SHAME TO ALL THE PORN ALLIANCE PARTY MPS!!

All of you don’t deserve to be our leaders come the 2026 GE!

SHAME! SHAME SHAME!! – VAKAMADUA NOMUDOU BULA…SA SEGA NIDOU REREVAKA NA KALOU LEVU KO JIOVA O KOYA E LEWA NA VURAVURA KEI NA VEIKAKECE E TU KINA, DOU SA REREVAKAGA NA MARAMA KABUACARA QORI KEI NA NONA IWILIWILI …DOU YAVU KAISI BOKOLA!

    1. So she has a husband which means she has just proved she lied when not declaring her agents. Alex Forward therefore has a defence if she sent it to the COI as evidence. Obviously we all know it wasn’t for her husband but how is she going to explain another lie?

    2. Wish the journalists would dig deeper & expose her for the fool she is. Why is the internationally press giving her such airspace. Graham, hopefully you have corrected/ provided further information on her to the relevant outlets.

    3. As I have said, if I was LT, I would be laying low for a while. I also have no doubt she will be back as a minister very soon.

    4. She is going through a mid life crisis where I think your brain becomes foggy and you can become unhinged.

    5. She should take a break, go overseas and rest instead of wasting airspace, brain power of everyone else. All this analysis, newspaper space etc can be spent on real issues like why the hospitals are in the state they are in & where foreign aid is spent.

    6. Hope she has independent legal representation pursuing her cases internationally though she is wasting taxpayer money in Aust as the various bodies she has complained to will be spending time investigating this matter.

The Leader of Opposition (LOP) Hon Inia Seruiratu should refer Lynda’s recent conduct in which her nude video went viral, to the Privilleges Committee of the Parliament.

As a member of Parliament, her actions have brought disrepute to Parliament, and such behaviour cannot go unchallenged.

Members of Parliament are expected to uphold the highest standards of conduct, both inside and outside Parliament, as their behaviour directly reflects on the integrity of the Parliament.

While parliamentary privilege protects MPs in the course of their duties, it doesn’t exempt them from ethical scrutiny when their personal actions damage the reputation of Parliament.

Public confidence in parliament depends on MPs demonstrating responsibility, professionalism, and respect for the office they hold.

Lynda’s case arguably is more serious as she has been in such scandalous situations twice. It is, therefore, crucial for the Leader of the Opposition to take a firm stance and ensure that parliamentary standards are upheld rather than adopting a passive approach that he is known for. Lynda is making it worse by threatening legal action against Victor and Alex, thinking that such outbursts will change public perception towards her.

In democracies like Australia and New Zealand, parliamentary privilege and conduct rules are strictly enforced. Any conduct that damages the integrity of Parliament is reviewed by an Ethics or Privileges Committee.

In Fiji, the Privileges Committe should assess whether Lynda’s actions constitute a breach of standards and determine appropriate disciplinary measures to protect the integrity of Parliament and its members. This will also openly test the integrity of all other members of the Parliament, on where they stand on the morality scale.

But first, it will test the Leader of the Opposition if he has the guts to raise it.

Tead this poem after the well known nursery rhyme, “Little Jack Corner”

    Lynda Tabuya,
Stuck in the corner,

    No ministerial pie;

    Her dance went online,

Now backbench she’ll dine,

And sigh, “Oh, why, oh why?”

    Victor and Alex,

    She’s sending the Telex,
    “I’ll see you in court!”

    Her focus now lies,

    On legal goodbyes,

A battle of a different sort.

    But voters all frown,

    As polls tumble down,
    The party’s in quite a fix;

    This fight’s not astute,

    Re-election my foot,,

A red herring that’s sure to bite her
    manly glute.

    The balloons are deflated,
    the banners all gone,

    The cheers have faded,
    replaced by the dawn.

    Back home to Rob,
    the kids, and the dog,
    Wondering now
    what we were fighting for.

Lynda may be able to get pro government elements of the Fiji media, and in particular the FT, to publish whatever she wants… but internationally she’ll face another level of scrutiny. This will most likely reflect poorly on her, on the coalition government and the country as a whole.
Not a smart move, and from everything that has been revealed, it sounds sensible she receives professional help.

Over and above this, her enablers, and in particular SLR, need to bow out. They are dragging the country down, big time.
For Manoa Kamikamica, Inia Seruiratu or any other with aspiration for the top job, now is the time to step up. The country is crying out for leadership.

If this is the acceptable standard of behavior and conduct upheld and advocated by PAP and the coalition government partners – they can take all their second chances and hold hands. Because Fiji and its people are bigger than this cheap drama that continues.

The party has made its stand clear and we shall remember their wise words as the 2026 General elections get closer and closer by the day.

No office, no office bearer , no party , no coalition is ever bigger than the country or its people. PERIOD.

Remember , in the 2022 elections the leader of the coalition of parties (candidate number 480 Sitiveni Rabuka) only secured 16.5% of total votes 76,748 vote of the 470,244 total votes.

As individual parties they could not make it to government – they all had to hold hands to get over the line … it leaves me bewildered to see the arrogance and attitude of the elected officials now … talk about Laugh out Loud … did they all forget about how they were able to form government ?

Let’s remind ourselves and them whose mandate they have

    President
    Candidate 312
    Naiqama lalabalavu
    Total votes : 652 out of 470,244

    Minister
    Candidate 454
    Manoa Kamikamica
    Total votes : 3,874 out of 470,244

    Minister
    Candidate 427
    Biman Prasad
    Total votes : 11, 355 out of 470,244

Former Minister / Member of Parliament
    Candidate 405
    Lynda Tabuya
    Total of 11,965 out of 470, 244

    Minister
    Candidate 348
    Aseri Radrodro
Total of 1,239 out of 470,244 votes

    Minister
    Candidate 479
    Ro Filipe Tuisawau
Total of 2,041 out of 470,244 votes

    Minister
    Candidate 310
    Moses’s Bulitavu
Total of 631 out of 470,244 votes

Laugh out loud – may the numbers remind you of the reality of the mandate and confidence we the people have in you . Let it keep you awake to remind you how much harder you have to work to prove yourselves worthy of office …

Perhaps it also explains why we see the entitlement and attitude to do as they please as well … possibly, quite frankly they really don’t care either ?

Let the voting numbers remind you all of your place in this country – don’t be deceived by the frills we the people have bestowed on you all by virtue of your positions in public office .

Wake up and smell the fresh air.
Bring on the 2026 elections !
We the people – we deserve better than this.

It is apparent that by the standards of the leadership, that anyone in Fiji can do anything they desire. Be it legal or illegal, moral or immoral, righteous or irreverent. If you are doing a good deed font keep it private – make sure everyone knows about it and praises you. If it is illegal or immoral just make sure you don’t get caught. If you do get exposed then launch an attack on the person’s that expose who you are when no one ( but God) is watching, utilize the legal system, freedom, human rights, privacy and democratic ideas as it suits , to get your way out of the sinking sand.
