Sitiveni Rabuka is not only the Snake under the spell of the nation’s greatest snake charmer ( pun intended) but he is also a master of lasulasu-jhoot.
He said tonight that he had received no complaints about Lynda Tabuya‘s conduct that would warrant him sacking her as Minister for Women, Children and Social Protection.
It is a lie. Here is just one of the complaints sent to him. The sender’s name has been redacted (identity verified) but we also know that the People’s Alliance set up a disciplinary hearing into the sex and drug allegations against Lynda Tabuya after an official complaint from a party member.
Why is the Prime Minister lying to the Fijian people? Because he clearly cannot admit the truth. But as the old saying goes, truth will out and here is the proof of that within hours of Sitiveni Rabuka’s outrageous porky.
It is going to get worse. A lot worse. Because no-one is buying the PM’s narrative. The Snake may have delayed the sacking of the Trouser Snake Charmer but he has sorely misjudged public sentiment and he genuinely cannot save her. And in the meantime his pants are well and truly on fire and his credibility and that of the government is gutted.
Mai Lodoni Mai, Mai Inia Mai says
Just like when Lynda just could not wait for Aseri to jump into her bed, her bathroom and her body while Sainiana was asleep doors away, we just cannot wait to read the Fiji Sun’s next editorial when it will delve deeper into the PM as our pathologically lying leader. The Sun will do well to extend its editorial blowtorch to the AG. Fred’s will probably cover something about Osea replacing Ben; he has lost it.
Vinaka in advance then, Fiji Sun! Thanks too to Fijileaks and Grubsheet for without thee, we would still be applauding and voting for the Kadavu Rugby Union President for her exemplary deeds, community outreach etc.
BTW, are the DPMs sleeping well these nights following this expected exoneration during Parliament week? Especially the one who supported that Fly Now Pay Later flight. When is the leadership revolt coming from within the Coalition? Or are they all birds of the same feather?
Come on, Inia! As someone noted on this platform, you are the man! Not next month but this week.
Con-Emporer and Empress says
Can the Opposition drill the Liar tomorrow about his bald-faced lies! Do not give him a chance to explain, just firmly expose him for the liar that he is.
Tabuya is also neither fit to represent women and children, nor remain a parliamentarian. This photo of her dressed like ‘Aunty Bessie’ (excessive layering) in an attempt to look modest, does not fool anyone. Nor does her unconvincing, play-acting at innocence and down to business-as-usual. Sega sega sara..
Proud Fijian says
They say if you come for the king, you best not miss. The Queen is the most powerful piece on the board, and everyone just missed. The question is who will she come for first. My money is on the lawyers in PAP that fired the shot that missed.
Nothing to be Proud of Fijian says
She is damaged goods, unable to come for anyone.
“Shameless” is the word that comes to mind when I think of LT.

PM the bald liar and Bimaan the hairy liar. Of course Richard Naidu is the biggest lasulasu of all.
I just feel like vomitting when I see these clowns faces.
Demand for investigation. says
Graham, do you have the copy of the Code of Conduct?
Fiji fails to understand Rabuka.
He didn’t even stand Tabuya down while under investigation and this leaked information confirms that it was as early as January this year when a complaint was filed.
Other complaints were filed for Lynda last year straight away after she gaslighted the victims of the 1987 coup. No response was received by the government. Not even an acknowledgement.
People must write to the President, and RFMF Commander. Copy the PM and the Leader of the Opposition. Flood their inbox with two key messages:
1. Investigation into Lynda Tabuya for abuse of office for using narcotics while on official duty.
2. Investigation into Lynda Tabuya for abusing a child online by uplifting digital images without her consent.
And 3 – Fijians (who employ the shit lot in Coalition) demand the release of all PAP Disciplinary Committee proceedings and findings. Fijians have the right to see these.
Also state that Tabuya is stood down from her portfolio while the investigation is in place. So is the Prime Minister as he has compromised the nation’s better interest.
Graham Davis says
Sorry, I don’t have a copy of the Ministerial Code of Conduct. Does anybody else have one? But it must make for an interesting read when smoking weed is evidently permissible in the midst of an unprecedented national drug crisis. Mind you, there also seems to be no prohibition on cabinet ministers going into business with Chinese gangsters either. We live in strange times.
Concerned Fijian says
I am sure that by the end of today a sincere servant of the Fiji Government will send you or Fiji Leaks a copy of the Code of Conduct and the Disciplinary Policy. These are public documents and should be easy accessible online. But Fiji is so good at hiding every information.
Or you can write to Inia and request a copy:
seruratuinia@gmail.com
Jaguar says
It’s available online – Parliamentary Code of Conduct , Fiji.
Graham Davis says
No, Rabuka was talking about a “Ministerial Code Of Conduct” The parliamentary version doesn’t permit bonking other people’s wives in foreign hotel rooms, smoking weed, drinking Jack Daniels and lying to the Prime Minister. Whereas the ministerial one clearly allows all of this.
Compromised says
“PM expressed his reluctance to rely on the People’s Alliance Disciplinary Committee’s decision to remove Tabuya as Deputy Leader of the Party.”
Simply because he is in bed with her. It compromises all handling of the matter and conflicts of interest.
The PM is not fit to lead the party, the Coalition and the government. His leadership is questionable.
Why wasn’t this referred to a higher public service investigation team than sitting within PAPs Committee? Lynda carried these acts out while on official duties.
These actions are not small deals.
They wreak of disrespect to the Constitution.
They wreak of disrespect to women who expect all to be treated fairly during an investigation and not as an elite having an upper hand.
PM has lost credibility and this is exactly what Tabuya wanted.
Women of 1987 says
Change is not always good.
Not this one by one vote.
Karma is a bitch.
This one will bite Rabuka.
There will be no escaping.
Slow rot but surely rotting.

You are caught.
Caught in your own demise
By a woman unworthy of trust.
You deserve what you dished out.
And we the women of 1987 smile today.
Your own
i- taukei Delilah is walking all over you.
You have no control
Karma is a bitch.
There will be more
This is not stopping.
Complain to Police says
Is anyone going to demand a police investigation into the weed?
Rabuka says there is no hard evidence, well there would be if everyone was questioned.
Please complain to the police and immigration.
She should definitely have her diplomatic passport and visas taken away.
Even shadow if a doubt, she will lose her visas.
Golf Tango says
As I have said a couple of times before that nothing will happen to Lynda as this is a vakavanua government.
It has happened and PM says nothing to see here move on.
So ladies and gentlemen it is what it is. TRUMP 2024.

Food for thought:
Allegation: The kind of people who in their self interest bring disrepute to the same almighty God they worship – can you expect any loyalty or accountability from them to mere human voters of the country. I think not. And it is abundantly displayed.
God will judge the grievances against Him and his people.
The citizens will judge the indiscretions against us – the alliance of the common people.

GD you are the man of the moment ! Rabuka reads your columns and so does every cabinet Minister!
Rabuka is however we see it , still a military strategist. Even when he acts dumb and looks like his inconsistent, trust me that’s all part of the espionage .
So it’s breaking here in your site first and Rabuka is fighting you with everything he has in the armory !
Keep at it . Just please remember to cover Biman and Manoa K too! Lots of trail of blood there.
Sean says
“No hard evidence” eh of course, Madam took it all in Room 233, never to be seen up again. Sir, you need to harden up and sack LT and add Lasa i Tuba as prohibited in the Code.
Outside Review Board? says
If Rabuka is close to Tabuya in any way then how can you make the decision. . I have heard he is her mistress, niece, family member-if any of those are true then clearly it’s a conflict of interest. Is there anywhere in constitution discussing nepotism or these issues?
Ian Simpson says
A Prime Minister is coach and Captain of a Team.
He does not need ANY REASON , AT ALL !!!! to fire a member of the team.
NONE AT ALL !!!!!!! His prerogative! May not be wise, but that is another matter.
So, lets dispense with the NONSENSE of there not being enough evidence.
Love this country, and now in a blazing hot anger that my children and grandchildren must witness this potty, mad gutter politics that demeans our country.
My submission to the Constitutional Commission stated that the multiparty Westminster system was a total failure for Fiji. I made my case and the Ghai Commission decided in response that they would put a Constitutional Assembly in place that would allow for Fijians to make submissions on the Constitution going forward. Frank and Aiyaz took this safety valve away so it is impossible to change the Constitution. This is dangerous and does not allow autonomy and sovereignty of the people. In respect to one of my submission, our representative SYSTEM, I submit that 1. a one party state ( maybe a bridge to far) 2. the US system of an executive President that derives his Cabinet from the general public and NOT from Parliament, such as we have, that has been an utter and total disaster for our country these past 50 years.
RFMF , you need to fix the Constitution you broke and put back the Constitutional Assembly . While you are at , as a matter of urgency, during the period of a caretaker government, implement Section 121 of the Constitution and lets have our District Guardian Councils to keep our Civil and Public Servants honest, BUT , most of all, get rid of this Westminster system that is our greatest curse and lets have a breath of fresh air after 50 years of dirty politics. This system we have is a blackmailers dream over our PM by fellow Cabinet, Party members. STUPID! STUPID!STUPID!
The American system will allow PM to fire Cabinet members without a qualm, and Party members will be able to put pressure on their PM if he is not performing.
A country of less than 1 million and yet our politics is so burdensome for the people. We should hardly know they are there as they work diligently for us , yet they are noisy and mostly useless.
Ordinary Joe says
Ian, with respect, Therein lies our problem-in our zeal to ‘ find’ the best written/prescribed constitutional document. No need if any such is not honored and respected as a living creed. Case in point (ignore the irony): In the UK a constitution has never been codified in this way; instead, the various statutes, conventions, judicial decisions and treaties which, taken together, govern how the UK is run are referred to collectively as the British Constitution. https://www.parliament.uk/site-information/glossary/constitution
We simply do not have honest people —the populace at large prefer thuggery and mob rule to normal conventions, judicial decisions, statues, et al that taken together governs a people and a nation state. Our problem has been collectively, the nation —especially the natives, have not ever fully accepted any prime minister. Not one. They hated Mara (even threatened to kill him in 2000), SLR, Bavadra, Chaudhry, LQ (who believed democracy is/was a foreign flower, but thieving (insider trading) and racism were certainly universally acceptable conduct), Voreqe (history will likely judge him more kindly than us), and now again this clown car driver. We have somewhat come full circle with what, 4 constitutions in between? The main issue: there has never been a Fijian nation. This point has not been better articulated than by the esteemed Teresia Teaiwa -“a distinguished award winning I-Kiribati and African-American scholar, poet, activist and mentor.”
Teaiwa expertly evaluated the situation thusly: https://maorinews.com/karere/fiji/teaiwa.htm
I believe this to be still true today as it was in 2000.
Vaaark says
Spot on Ian.
How lame is this guy as Fiji’s Prime Minister?
He’s getting too soft and emotional for the demands of national leadership.
He knows what happened but burying his head in the sand because of her 11k something voters that they think will win them the GE2026. lol.
What about the 650,000 plus that didn’t vote for this cheap politician? Wanna take your chances on that?
Karma will take them to the shredders.
She’s got her kitty all over his face blurring his vision and judgement.
We don’t pay you to dress up, make loud useless noises and orchestrate a high school drama level performance in parliament.
What useful impacts are you making on the average Fijian, and I’m not talking about pots and utensils puhleeez!!!!!
Lord help us all!!
