# SAVAGED BY A DEAD SHEEP

Posted on December 27, 2012 22 Comments

As I was saying, Mad Marc Edge continues his assault on anyone in Fiji who had the temerity to challenge his Napoleonic ego. Now safely out of the country after being sacked from the University of the South Pacific - where he was facing charges of misconduct -Dr Edge's fingers trip across the keys in his frigid Canadian bolthole, spewing forth the … [Read more...] about # SAVAGED BY A DEAD SHEEP

# MAD MARC ON THE WARPATH

Posted on December 27, 2012 4 Comments

Marc Edge has confirmed his departure from Fiji with an extraordinary diatribe that also confirms what he flagged a few weeks ago in the headline of one of his rambling web postings - "Whom the Gods would destroy, they first make mad". The former Head of the School of Journalism at the University of the South Pacific has been clearly unhinged by … [Read more...] about # MAD MARC ON THE WARPATH

# INTO THE ABYSS

Word has reached Grubsheet that the embattled former Head of Journalism at the University of the South Pacific, Dr Marc Edge, has left Fiji after losing his job. There's so far been no official announcement but Fiji Leaks - the suspected blog site of the Oxford-based journalist and academic, Victor Lal - reports that Dr Edge flew out of Nadi for … [Read more...] about # INTO THE ABYSS

#…THEY FIRST MAKE MAD

As the Marc Edge saga plays on at the University of the South Pacific, Dr Edge himself has made an extraordinary posting on Fiji Media Wars -his own website. He's published the front page of a Marvel comic book - The Mighty Thor - under the heading " Whom the Gods would destroy, they first make mad". There is no other text whatsoever. What does it … [Read more...] about #…THEY FIRST MAKE MAD

# AN ABUSE OF OFFICE

The deposed Head of Journalism at the University of the South Pacific, Dr Marc Edge, continues to expose himself to opprobrium and worse with his continuing antics behind the scenes with his students. He evidently sees it as his role to peddle  an anonymous scandal sheet feigning exchanges between Grubsheet and Sharon Smith Johns,  the Permanent … [Read more...] about # AN ABUSE OF OFFICE

Academic and media circles in Fiji and the rest of the region are abuzz with gossip and speculation following our latest postings on the demotion of Dr Marc Edge as Head of Journalism at the University of the South Pacific. Of special interest is the leaked correspondence from the Deputy Vice Chancellor of USP, Dr Esther Williams, telling Dr Edge's … [Read more...] about # PACIFIC MEDIA LUVVIES IN A TIZZ

About Grubsheet

Graham Davis
Grubsheet Feejee is the blogsite of Graham Davis, an award-winning journalist turned communications consultant who was the Fijian Government’s principal communications advisor for six years from 2012 to 2018 and continued to work on Fiji’s global climate and oceans campaign up until the end of the decade.

Fiji-born to missionary parents and a dual Fijian-Australian national, Graham spent four decades in the international media before returning to Fiji to work full time in 2012. He reported from many parts of the world for the BBC, ABC, SBS, the Nine and Seven Networks and Sky News and wrote for a range of newspapers and magazines in Australia, New Zealand and Fiji.

Graham launched Grubsheet Feejee in 2011 and suspended writing for it after the Fijian election of 2014, by which time he was working at the heart of government. But the website continued to attract hits as a background resource on events in Fiji in the transition back to parliamentary democracy.

Grubsheet relaunches in 2020 at one of the most critical times in Fijian history, with the nation reeling from the Covid-19 crisis and Frank Bainimarama’s government shouldering the twin burdens of incumbency and economic disintegration.

Grubsheet’s sole agenda is the national interest; the strengthening of Fiji’s ties with the democracies; upholding equal rights for all citizens; government that is genuinely transparent and free of corruption and nepotism; and upholding Fiji’s service to the world in climate and oceans advocacy and UN Peacekeeping.
