# MAULED BY HOMER SIMPSON IN A MUMU AS THE THREE AMIGOS GO QUIET ON TORTURE AND MURDER AT THE CAMP

Posted on April 23, 2026 2 Comments

Woo hoo!, as the famous cartoon character, Homer Simpson, is fond of saying. It's a red letter day when the "citizen journalist" and fashion plate, Charlie Charters, gives Grubsheet a plug on his Facebook page. And that day has come as Charlie praises the excellent article we featured yesterday by our mutual friend, Richard Thomson, on the proposed … [Read more...] about # MAULED BY HOMER SIMPSON IN A MUMU AS THE THREE AMIGOS GO QUIET ON TORTURE AND MURDER AT THE CAMP

# A BURNING ISSUE LIGHTS UP FIJI. GUEST WRITER RICHARD THOMSON ON THE PROPOSED CONTROVERSIAL WASTE DISPOSAL FACILITY AT SAWENI

Posted on April 22, 2026 17 Comments

On April 1 The Australian newspaper * reported on a plan by two Australians to ship 700,000 tons a year of Sydney’s waste to Fiji, and along with 200,000 tonnes from Fiji and other Pacific Islands, to burn it for energy on a small peninsula in mangroves next to an iconic beach.  Hardly a good look, and implausible as it sounds – no it wasn’t an … [Read more...] about # A BURNING ISSUE LIGHTS UP FIJI. # “WELCOME TO THE NOTHING TO SEE HERE WORLD OF OUR NEWEST COMRADES-IN-ARMS”. THE AUSTRALIAN’S WITHERING JUDGMENT ON FIJI

The Australian newspaper - the nation's most influential - has updated its front page print story on the killing of Jone Vakarisi (see previous article) with an Internet version that is even more pungent and is a PR disaster for the RFMF and Fiji's image as a whole. The timing couldn't be worse, as public attention in Australia is drawn to the … [Read more...] about # “WELCOME TO THE NOTHING TO SEE HERE WORLD OF OUR NEWEST COMRADES-IN-ARMS”. # MURDER AT THE CAMP. THE COMMANDER IS FORCED TO CHANGE HIS STORY AFTER A SCANDALOUS COVER-UP

Posted on April 21, 2026 10 Comments

The death in RFMF custody of the accused drug overlord, Jone Vakarisi, is now being officially called what it is - murder - after the disgraceful attempt by Major General Ro Jone Kalouniwai to portray it as having been triggered by natural causes - a "sudden medical emergency" caused by a "pre-existing condition". The Commander's latest … [Read more...] about # MURDER AT THE CAMP. THE COMMANDER IS FORCED TO CHANGE HIS STORY AFTER A SCANDALOUS COVER-UP

# NOWHERE TO HIDE. THE PRESSURE MOUNTS ON THE RFMF COMMANDER TO FINALLY TELL THE TRUTH

When Grubsheet starts fielding calls from the Australian media about the extrajudicial killing by the RFMF of the accused drug overlord, Jone Vakarisi, we can be sure that this scandal is also about to become a diplomatic issue, with a range of potential implications, none of them good. Why? Because whatever the circumstances, Australia isn't … [Read more...] about # NOWHERE TO HIDE. THE PRESSURE MOUNTS ON THE RFMF COMMANDER TO FINALLY TELL THE TRUTH

# BOMBSHELL. RFMF COVER-UP. WHY MAJOR GENERAL RO JONE KALOUNIWAI MUST RESIGN OR BE SACKED (UPDATED)

Posted on April 18, 2026 36 Comments

Grubsheet returns from medical leave temporarily with a sensational story - conclusive evidence that the RFMF Commander, Major General Ro Jone Kalouniwai, is a proven liar who has tried to cover-up the killing of a detainee in military custody and in doing so, is unfit to head the nation's military and must resign or be sacked. The fact that … [Read more...] about # BOMBSHELL. RFMF COVER-UP. WHY MAJOR GENERAL RO JONE KALOUNIWAI MUST RESIGN OR BE SACKED (UPDATED)

About Grubsheet

Graham Davis
Grubsheet Feejee is the blogsite of Graham Davis, an award-winning journalist turned communications consultant who was the Fijian Government’s principal communications advisor for six years from 2012 to 2018 and continued to work on Fiji’s global climate and oceans campaign up until the end of the decade.

Fiji-born to missionary parents and a dual Fijian-Australian national, Graham spent four decades in the international media before returning to Fiji to work full time in 2012. He reported from many parts of the world for the BBC, ABC, SBS, the Nine and Seven Networks and Sky News and wrote for a range of newspapers and magazines in Australia, New Zealand and Fiji.

Graham launched Grubsheet Feejee in 2011 and suspended writing for it after the Fijian election of 2014, by which time he was working at the heart of government. But the website continued to attract hits as a background resource on events in Fiji in the transition back to parliamentary democracy.

Grubsheet relaunches in 2020 at one of the most critical times in Fijian history, with the nation reeling from the Covid-19 crisis and Frank Bainimarama’s government shouldering the twin burdens of incumbency and economic disintegration.

Grubsheet’s sole agenda is the national interest; the strengthening of Fiji’s ties with the democracies; upholding equal rights for all citizens; government that is genuinely transparent and free of corruption and nepotism; and upholding Fiji’s service to the world in climate and oceans advocacy and UN Peacekeeping.
