The "crocodiles" who the Prime Minister, Sitiveni Rabuka, wanted cleared from the pond when he commissioned the Supreme Court Judge, Justice David Ashton-Lewis, to carry out his inquiry into the Malimali Affair are poised for victory as the corrupt Chief Justice, Salesi Temo, appoints a High Court judge to hear his own application for a judicial … [Read more...] about # THE SHOCKING PROSPECT LOOMS OF THE ASHTON-LEWIS COI BEING QUASHED AND BARBARA MALIMALI BEING REINSTATED TO FICAC. # “WHEN AIYAZ SAYED KHAIYUM IS CONVICTED”. THE ASSISTANT DPP CONFIRMS FEARS THAT THE FORMER AG’S TRIAL IS A STITCH-UP (UPDATED FRIDAY AM)

Posted on September 25, 2025 24 Comments

The Chief Justice, Salesi Temo, has been at pains to give the appearance of evenhandedness as he presides over the trial of Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum and Mohammed Saneem for alleged abuse of office, castigating the Acting DPP, Nancy Tikoisuva, in open court over aspects of her prosecution of the case. But it is evidently all a sham. Khaiyum is to be … [Read more...] about # “WHEN AIYAZ SAYED KHAIYUM IS CONVICTED”. The presence of the RFMF Commander, Major General Ro Jone Kalouniwai, in the official party that accompanied the Prime Minister, Sitiveni Rabuka, to Israel for the opening of Fiji's controversial new embassy in Jerusalem has been a lapse of judgment that, pray God, does not have tragic consequences for his men and women on UN peacekeeping duties in … [Read more...] about # AN ASTONISHING BETRAYAL. # THE ENTIRE OPPOSITION (AMPLIFIED BY BOTH NEWSPAPERS) JOINS THE CLAMOUR FOR SALESI TEMO’S SUSPENSION AS CHIEF JUSTICE

Further to our previous story last night, the Opposition has since issued a strong statement calling for the removal of the Chief Justice and accusing the Prime Minister and the President of failing in their duty to do so. The statement has added potency because it is being given headline treatment today by both the Fiji Times and the Fiji Sun, … [Read more...] about # THE ENTIRE OPPOSITION (AMPLIFIED BY BOTH NEWSPAPERS) JOINS THE CLAMOUR FOR SALESI TEMO’S SUSPENSION AS CHIEF JUSTICE

# A GOVERNMENT DYSFUNCTIONAL AND IN A STATE OF PANIC (WHEN IT’S AWAKE)

Posted on September 21, 2025 24 Comments

The sight of the Prime Minister asleep at a "Friends of Zion" function in Jerusalem before he flew to the United Nations for the next stage of his latest overseas odyssey pretty much sums up the state of the Coalition government. It is sleep walking through a minefield of its own making, triggering one crisis after another, has lost control of … [Read more...] about # A GOVERNMENT DYSFUNCTIONAL AND IN A STATE OF PANIC (WHEN IT’S AWAKE)

About Grubsheet

Graham Davis
Grubsheet Feejee is the blogsite of Graham Davis, an award-winning journalist turned communications consultant who was the Fijian Government’s principal communications advisor for six years from 2012 to 2018 and continued to work on Fiji’s global climate and oceans campaign up until the end of the decade.

Fiji-born to missionary parents and a dual Fijian-Australian national, Graham spent four decades in the international media before returning to Fiji to work full time in 2012. He reported from many parts of the world for the BBC, ABC, SBS, the Nine and Seven Networks and Sky News and wrote for a range of newspapers and magazines in Australia, New Zealand and Fiji.

Graham launched Grubsheet Feejee in 2011 and suspended writing for it after the Fijian election of 2014, by which time he was working at the heart of government. But the website continued to attract hits as a background resource on events in Fiji in the transition back to parliamentary democracy.

Grubsheet relaunches in 2020 at one of the most critical times in Fijian history, with the nation reeling from the Covid-19 crisis and Frank Bainimarama’s government shouldering the twin burdens of incumbency and economic disintegration.

Grubsheet’s sole agenda is the national interest; the strengthening of Fiji’s ties with the democracies; upholding equal rights for all citizens; government that is genuinely transparent and free of corruption and nepotism; and upholding Fiji’s service to the world in climate and oceans advocacy and UN Peacekeeping.
