# HOW MUCH LONGER IS THIS FARCE GOING TO BE ALLOWED TO CONTINUE? (UPDATED THURS PM)

Malimali: A law unto herself

So after having been sent on leave when the Commission of Inquiry into her appointment as FICAC Commissioner instead asked for her suspension, Barbara Malimali is still interfering with the conduct of the Commission and its FICAC witnesses.

Bad-ass Barbie is brazenly giving the middle finger to Justice David Ashton-Lewis. And if the Prime Minister and the President won’t act to remove her, she is now at risk of being arrested and charged with being in contempt of the proceedings.

The entire criminal justice system under the Chief Justice and Head of the Judicial Services Commission, Salesi Temo, is crumbling, whether it is the FICAC Commissioner’s contempt for the judicial process or the debacle at the ODPP, where Christopher Pryde is still on leave waiting for Temo to tell him whether he is going to be suspended again.

How can the Fijian people have confidence in the proper governance of the nation when the system is so dysfunctional and the leadership permits a rogue Chief Justice and a rogue FICAC Commissioner to thumb their noses at proper process?

The COI: Patience wearing thin

As Grubsheet reported correctly three days ago, Justice Ashton- Lewis – through his Counsel Assisting, Janet Mason – has again asked for Barbara Malimali’s suspension, which should have occurred automatically as soon as the Commission of Inquiry was announced.

The Prime Minister, Sitiveni Rabuka, and the President, Ratu Naiqama Lalabalavu, better get on with it. Because this is now front page news in both dailies today and Barbara Malimali is making both of them look impotent and dangerously irresponsible. She is totally out of order and totally out of control.

———————-

So much for being “on leave”. The email that has incensed the COI.

So she is “concerned about the direction the COI has taken”? It is a judicial investigation into YOUR appointment, Barbara. And it will take whatever direction it sees fit to establish the truth.

The arrogance of this woman knows no bounds. This is definitive proof that Barbara Malimali is not only not “on leave” but is still interfering in the process. And she must go and go now for there to be any public confidence in the integrity of the criminal justice system.

If the Prime Minister and the President won’t act, then it is they who are unfit to hold office.

POSTSCRIPT:

There is still no official response to our story three days ago about skullduggery at State House and the allegation that the Prime Minister’s advice to the President to suspend Barbara Malimali was not passed on.

# BOMBSHELL. WAS THE PRESIDENT MANIPULATED INTO NOT SUSPENDING BARBARA MALIMALI?

In his weakened state, is the President being manipulated by those around him? It sure looks that way.

POSTCRIPT 2:

And can it possibly be true that Justice Ashton-Lewis and Janet Mason haven’t been paid for six weeks?

After what happen to Christopher Pryde and the defiance of the Presidential order for his entire salary and benefits to be paid “immediately”, nothing would surprise us.

Biman Prasad boasts that there is plenty of money despite the national debt soaring under the Coalition. So what gives? Is the COI being punished for demanding proper process?

    It sounds so much better in the vernacular;

” Do it! Do it!, he’s old”

By pure chance I was riding in a vehicle of a friend and in the company of a very disguised Adi of great political linage and was totally shocked by her statement that the Rabuka gang were “Dinosaurs”. This was before the elections.

    So true.

This country is a sick place. An absolute mess with Rabuka who is known for poor leadership. A vote of no confidence should follow. A snap election should be called because we have had enough of this shit show.

Malimali should have never been appointed and the desperation to save her friends is showing 100%.

Rabuka, just sit your backside away. Go to the village and retire. We don’t need you.

The problem is – who would you actually vote for now? Sitiveni Rabuka has effectively neutered any opposition through his machinations (deliberate or otherwise).

As long as it takes the attention of people from real life issues such as water, roads, drugs, crime, robberies. This is the best smokescreen for the shitf**kery and the incompetence of Biman and Rabuka.

They don’t realise that whatever they do as leaders has a long ripple-on effect on them and their families. Most of these culprits, Graham, are Christians. And we know that the word of God says the sins of the fathers are visited down to the children and down to the 3rd and 3th generation!!

Barbara has tried to cover up for a lot of people including her recently crowned Bubu friend, Lynda Tabuya, whose second eldest child, Talei Semaan, has declared via her Facebook two days ago that she’s given birth to a baby boy and that she will be a single mum .

Remember not so long ago Lynda failed to declare the large sums of money deposited into her children’s bank accounts? One of those was for Talei Matiavi Seeman amounting to $90,419 at June 2018!

If these guys don’t get caught by the law- then the supreme law of God will render their lives measured and found wanting, Right from Rabuka to each Minister and senior civil servant who thinks they can cheat their way through this circus of a government.

Keda wele ga Graham. Ena muri kemudou na nomudoui valavala !!

I don’t get it at all.
Why has this government appointed someone, with issues.
Now with all this sh;,&it happening and waste of taxpayers money paying for the inquiry, why didn’t they get it right in first place?
All those who have abused funds in the last 20 years would be loughing away.
When your own house is in a shambles and you are trying to fix others.
There are so many potential people out there who can do a good job as FICAC commissioner.
Many young ones who have done law, forensic accounting, been auditors and so on yet Fiji is struggling to get a suitable candidate.
Friends, supporters, families, kaivata, and race will lead to nowhere if selection is based on this criteria.
We need hard working, qualified and transparent people for this role.
And that goes for any other role in the country.
    God bless Fiji!

The previous prime minister said Fijians were dumb.
Now the current PM is making us look dumb by appointing such people to very senior post beyond their abilities. .
      We itaukei are not dumb.
Some are very qualified and have equal strength intellectually with other races.
We know what is going on.
We spend every dollar we have to send our children to good institutions for better education.
We need honest leaders and not brain washers.

All this is happening because we have a fit and fearless President who is a high chief, a proud pedophile and a little wobbly at the knees and most importantly he has all his faculties in order so that he can make all the important decisions with the assistance of his family and kaivata around him.
Of course he has a very supportive subject in the PM who the President cajouled into appointing him the President and is beholden to him.
It is democracy at work, Fiji style. People should know by now that the iTaukei way of doing things is the best. People from around the world should learn from Fiji.
This is the way it should be done in one’s own country free from any vulagi influence and interference. True democracy at work. Just ask the PM.

What people do not seem to realise is that Fiji cannot do without people like the pedo President, the senile PM, the crooked CJ, dodgy Barbara M and Rabuku and all the other imbeciles who have wiggled their way into power.
Fiji is much richer since they have come in.
    Just ask them.

In normal countries, when someone is under investigation, they either voluntarily step aside or, they are suspended until the matter is closed.

Fiji’s alleged democracy is unique. You can be a serial killer, but still roam around free with a knife in your hand killing people, while the courts work out all the paperwork.

Malimali is doing exactly that and the racist iTaukei government is doing nothing to stop her harassment of other witnesses. In fact, they’re probably encouraging it.

Put a square moustache on her and she will easily pass for a fatter version of Hitler.

Is ” God Bless Fiji ” just a signature or a petition / prayer / sign of contrition.
It rather looks like God is punishing Fiji, and deservedly so if that is the case.
To note that with 2 seasons of failure to win the 7s rugby crown, may the remainder of 5 years of drought be a lesson. Of course I’m saying this in jest but to those who these figurative illustrations and numbers out of scriptures mean anything take heed.

I have said this before – the mentality amongst these people is “this is our country, this is our land and we will be a law unto ourselves as we like to maintain our God-given entitlements for those of us who are elites”.
What I did not make clear is that the President, the PM, the CJ and all the other crooks in government and in the government machinery should come out and say that clearly. That is, the President, the PM, the CJ and all others should come out and say that so that everyone is clear about how things work in the new democratic Fiji.
The people in the COI should be told that clearly. At the moment everyone is floundering around the edges and pussyfooting and talking about legalities and shooting emails and letters some of which do not get to the right places.
Soemone make these things clear please, or do I have to do this?

When the COI commissioner and the assistant meet the PM, the PM should tell them what I have said above. That way the COI will know what their position is and how they should approach the investigation and their report. At the moment, the COI is assuming that the PM and the President and the CJ are following the law. They should be told the reality, that is, this is iTaukei country and they will do as they wish and will be a law unto themselves to achieve what they wish. So their report will not matter. I hope that is clarified in their meeting tomorrow.

Bula Graham. Let’s face it. The PM Sitiveni The Snake Rabuka isn’t going to remove Lynda Porn Master Tabuya, Barbara Black Sheep Malimali, Salesi Worse than Walesi Temo, Biman Lamb Chops Prasad, Manoa Pay Me more to work Hard Kamikamica, Graham Turn A Blind Eye to everything Leung, or Ratu Joe Biden Lalabalavu from their positions.

Let’s come to grips with this unfortunate situation because this Pathetic PM is only there to serve his own interests. He was never in politics for the people. He was only in it for the MONEY as he had gone broke and started selling empty plastic bottles. From the day he took office he spewed lie after lie meticulously bringing the government, the justice system and the general public to its knees.

This is a man who complained about the $3k a day PM allowance for travel before elections and still enjoys this benefit today. He complained about Frank getting too cozy with the Chinese and he just recently toured China enjoying $3k allowance. Double betrayal there.

He told us Govt minister salaries was too much. But he sided with the Super Porn Star Chair of the Emoluments Committee to increase their own pay when the country was suffering so badly due to increased cost of living which in turn increased crime.

The Fiji population is POOR due to the lack of direction and purpose of this government who only prioritizes their own pockets. This is the sad reality we live in and the only thing we can do is FIRE them in the next elections.

In saying that, Graham, maybe your columns could start prepping for the next GE by including suitable options for people to think about and chew on. In my view currently none of the big 3 parties will protect my interests. PAP, NFP and Sodelpa have shown that they will only look after themselves in parliament. But Savenaca Narube looks like a good option. Mahendra Chaudary is doing a good job of calling out government shortcomings but im not sure if he will be a good fit to lead the country(with his history).

I really wish Lenora Qereqeretabua was part of Save Narube’s party. I really like the way she conducts herself. In the 3 years they been in government she has held herself with dignity and grace and had no drama episodes. If ever there was a lady to be Fiji’s FIRST Female PM it should be Lenora.

As for the Porn Queen who aspires to be the same, I hope she retires to Kadavu with her rugby team and never sees the light of public life again. We’ve seen enough of her to last us a lifetime (Pun intended). Anyways Bula Vinaka Fiji. General Elections next year. Lets ramp up the heat on these other Pretenders and throw them out on their ears next year!

About Grubsheet

Graham Davis
Grubsheet Feejee is the blogsite of Graham Davis, an award-winning journalist turned communications consultant who was the Fijian Government’s principal communications advisor for six years from 2012 to 2018 and continued to work on Fiji’s global climate and oceans campaign up until the end of the decade.

Fiji-born to missionary parents and a dual Fijian-Australian national, Graham spent four decades in the international media before returning to Fiji to work full time in 2012. He reported from many parts of the world for the BBC, ABC, SBS, the Nine and Seven Networks and Sky News and wrote for a range of newspapers and magazines in Australia, New Zealand and Fiji.

Graham launched Grubsheet Feejee in 2011 and suspended writing for it after the Fijian election of 2014, by which time he was working at the heart of government. But the website continued to attract hits as a background resource on events in Fiji in the transition back to parliamentary democracy.

Grubsheet relaunches in 2020 at one of the most critical times in Fijian history, with the nation reeling from the Covid-19 crisis and Frank Bainimarama’s government shouldering the twin burdens of incumbency and economic disintegration.

Grubsheet’s sole agenda is the national interest; the strengthening of Fiji’s ties with the democracies; upholding equal rights for all citizens; government that is genuinely transparent and free of corruption and nepotism; and upholding Fiji’s service to the world in climate and oceans advocacy and UN Peacekeeping.
