# IT ISN’T ENOUGH. SHE MUST BE SACKED ALTOGETHER

Posted on March 5, 2024 38 Comments

This woman slept with another minister metres from where that minister's wife was sleeping during an official parliamentary visit to Victoria. There is also evidence of drug taking on her part. She lied to the Prime Minister when he asked her if she had had an affair and he, in turn, lied to the nation. Removing her as deputy leader of the … [Read more...] about # IT ISN’T ENOUGH. The Republic of Fiji Military Forces has a duty under Section 131 of the 2013 Constitution – which it played a major role in formulating – “to ensure at all times the security, defence and well-being of Fiji and all Fijians”. Yes, all Fijians irrespective of ethnicity or religion. In 2006, the RFMF removed the ethno-nationalist government of … [Read more...] about # PONTIUS PILATE WASHES HIS HANDS AS THE RIGHTS OF FIJI’S MINORITIES ARE CRUCIFIED

# A LOSS THAT MUST NEVER BE REPEATED

Posted on March 4, 2024 10 Comments

Our national heritage - like that of any nation - is priceless yet many Fijians seem to have been indifferent to just how much we lost when an important part of our history went up in smoke with the fire that consumed the 109-year old Defence Club in Suva a week ago. There was the odd media reference to the destruction of the historical relics … [Read more...] about # A LOSS THAT MUST NEVER BE REPEATED

The Attorney General, Siromi Turaga, is spearheading the Coalition's effort to prosecute Frank Bainimarama and Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum, jettison the Constitution to abolish the common and equal citizenry, the common identity and the secular state and complete the program Sitiveni Rabuka began in 1987 to establish the supremacy of the iTaukei … [Read more...] about # A TERRIFYING VIEW OF FIJI’S FUTURE

# THE LONG WAIT CONTINUES

Posted on March 2, 2024 21 Comments

Wondering what is happening with the investigation into the antics of the Great Temptress in Room 233? The Fiji Times finally seizes on the story to tell us. Nothing. This suggests one of two things. The People's Alliance is torn between doing the right thing and recommending that the Minister for Women and Children be sacked and needing … [Read more...] about # THE LONG WAIT CONTINUES

About Grubsheet

Graham Davis
Grubsheet Feejee is the blogsite of Graham Davis, an award-winning journalist turned communications consultant who was the Fijian Government’s principal communications advisor for six years from 2012 to 2018 and continued to work on Fiji’s global climate and oceans campaign up until the end of the decade.

Fiji-born to missionary parents and a dual Fijian-Australian national, Graham spent four decades in the international media before returning to Fiji to work full time in 2012. He reported from many parts of the world for the BBC, ABC, SBS, the Nine and Seven Networks and Sky News and wrote for a range of newspapers and magazines in Australia, New Zealand and Fiji.

Graham launched Grubsheet Feejee in 2011 and suspended writing for it after the Fijian election of 2014, by which time he was working at the heart of government. But the website continued to attract hits as a background resource on events in Fiji in the transition back to parliamentary democracy.

Grubsheet relaunches in 2020 at one of the most critical times in Fijian history, with the nation reeling from the Covid-19 crisis and Frank Bainimarama’s government shouldering the twin burdens of incumbency and economic disintegration.

Grubsheet’s sole agenda is the national interest; the strengthening of Fiji’s ties with the democracies; upholding equal rights for all citizens; government that is genuinely transparent and free of corruption and nepotism; and upholding Fiji’s service to the world in climate and oceans advocacy and UN Peacekeeping.
