# THE CROCODILES ARE WINNING AS THE SNAKE BACKPEDALS FURIOUSLY ON THE RECOMMENDATIONS OF THE COI. (UPDATED)

Posted on July 17, 2025 31 Comments

Despite being exonerated of any wrongdoing by the Ashton- Lewis Commission of Inquiry into the Malimali Affair, the former acting deputy FICAC Commissioner, Francis Puleiwai is paying a heavy price for taking a stand for justice. Not only was she forced to flee Fiji just in time to avoid an illegal stop-departure order placed on her by Barbara … [Read more...] about # THE CROCODILES ARE WINNING AS THE SNAKE BACKPEDALS FURIOUSLY ON THE RECOMMENDATIONS OF THE COI. # SHOCK DAMAGES CLAIM: BARBIE AND TANYA’S $2-MILLION CON JOB ON THE FIJIAN PEOPLE (UPDATED)

Posted on July 16, 2025 34 Comments

It is easily the most audacious attempt to fleece the taxpayer in the broad sweep of Fijian history - the corrupt Barbara Malimali and her lawyer, Tanya Waqanika, trying to extract $2-million dollars in compensation from the state for Malimali's dismissal as FICAC Commissioner. As we reported yesterday, the Ashton-Lewis Commission of Inquiry has … [Read more...] about # SHOCK DAMAGES CLAIM: BARBIE AND TANYA’S $2-MILLION CON JOB ON THE FIJIAN PEOPLE (UPDATED)

# CONSPIRACY AGAINST THE PEOPLE. THE “UNIVERSALLY CORRUPT”* BARBARA MALIMALI IS OFFERED A TAXPAYER-FUNDED FINANCIAL SETTLEMENT TO GO AWAY QUIETLY

Posted on July 15, 2025 28 Comments

There appears to be no limit to the moral depravity of the Coalition government and its "drunken sailor" attitude to spending the Fijian people's money, judging from the disclosure before the courts that the sacked FICAC Commissioner, Barbara Malimali, has been offered a financial settlement if she will drop her current action for wrongful … [Read more...] about # CONSPIRACY AGAINST THE PEOPLE. # WYLIE CLARKE MUST STAND ASIDE AS FIJI LAW SOCIETY PRESIDENT IF PUBLIC CONFIDENCE IN THE LEGAL PROFESSION IS TO BE UPHELD

Posted on July 14, 2025 16 Comments

Just as it is a first in Fiji to have a Chief Justice who is accused by a Supreme Court Inquiry of having perverted the course of justice yet remains in office, so too is it a first for the same allegation to be leveled against a sitting President of the Fiji Law Society and for him to also cling to the wreckage of a broken system. Welcome to … [Read more...] about # WYLIE CLARKE MUST STAND ASIDE AS FIJI LAW SOCIETY PRESIDENT IF PUBLIC CONFIDENCE IN THE LEGAL PROFESSION IS TO BE UPHELD

# BASTILLE DAY NEWS. NEW CALEDONIA TO BECOME A “STATE” BUT WILL REMAIN PART OF FRANCE.

Posted on July 14, 2025 4 Comments

Today's Fiji Times has four pages of articles and ads to commemorate Bastille Day - July 14 - the anniversary of the storming of the Bastille Prison in 1789 that was the climax of the French revolution. Yet characteristically there is no mention of a major development "just down the road" in neighbouring New Caledonia, which has been wracked by … [Read more...] about # BASTILLE DAY NEWS. About Grubsheet

Graham Davis
Grubsheet Feejee is the blogsite of Graham Davis, an award-winning journalist turned communications consultant who was the Fijian Government’s principal communications advisor for six years from 2012 to 2018 and continued to work on Fiji’s global climate and oceans campaign up until the end of the decade.

Fiji-born to missionary parents and a dual Fijian-Australian national, Graham spent four decades in the international media before returning to Fiji to work full time in 2012. He reported from many parts of the world for the BBC, ABC, SBS, the Nine and Seven Networks and Sky News and wrote for a range of newspapers and magazines in Australia, New Zealand and Fiji.

Graham launched Grubsheet Feejee in 2011 and suspended writing for it after the Fijian election of 2014, by which time he was working at the heart of government. But the website continued to attract hits as a background resource on events in Fiji in the transition back to parliamentary democracy.

Grubsheet relaunches in 2020 at one of the most critical times in Fijian history, with the nation reeling from the Covid-19 crisis and Frank Bainimarama’s government shouldering the twin burdens of incumbency and economic disintegration.

Grubsheet’s sole agenda is the national interest; the strengthening of Fiji’s ties with the democracies; upholding equal rights for all citizens; government that is genuinely transparent and free of corruption and nepotism; and upholding Fiji’s service to the world in climate and oceans advocacy and UN Peacekeeping.
