# CHARLIE CHARTERS CONSPIRES WITH A CORRUPT ESTABLISHMENT TO DESTROY THE CREDIBILITY OF THE ASHTON-LEWIS COMMISSION OF INQUIRY (PART TWO)

Posted on July 12, 2025 19 Comments

The author and rugby identity, Charlie Charters, has taken his campaign to undermine the Commission of Inquiry into the Malimali affair from the pages of Facebook to the pages of Saturday's Fiji Times with an extraordinary double-page feature that is a naked attempt to derail the Ashton-Lewis Commission of Inquiry into the Malimali … [Read more...] about # CHARLIE CHARTERS CONSPIRES WITH A CORRUPT ESTABLISHMENT TO DESTROY THE CREDIBILITY OF THE ASHTON-LEWIS COMMISSION OF INQUIRY (PART TWO)

# A RIGHT CHARLIE’S* CAMPAIGN TO DESTROY THE CREDIBILITY OF THE ASHTON-LEWIS COMMISSION OF INQUIRY (PART ONE)

Posted on July 10, 2025 31 Comments

Charlie Charters is one of those End-of-Empire Englishmen like Jon Fraenkel and Matt Wilson who set out for the South Seas like their 19th century predecessors, marry local women, get involved in local politics and exploit the gormlessness of the natives to advance their own prejudices. Some of these English imports like Harry Dugdale - the … [Read more...] about # A RIGHT CHARLIE’S* CAMPAIGN TO DESTROY THE CREDIBILITY OF THE ASHTON-LEWIS COMMISSION OF INQUIRY (PART ONE)

# TIME TO BE GREAT AGAIN (UPDATED THURSDAY)

Posted on July 9, 2025 52 Comments

56 years separates these images but there's a striking timelessness about father and son - Ratu Sir Kamisese Mara and Ratu Tevita Mara - being installed as Tui Nayau, the high chief of Lau. It was a significant event in the vanua then - July 1969 - and it is a significant event now as the people of Lau officially regain their traditional leader … [Read more...] about # TIME TO BE GREAT AGAIN (UPDATED THURSDAY)

# HOW CENSORING THE COI REPORT IS ENABLING BIMAN PRASAD AND MANOA KAMIKAMICA TO LIE ABOUT ITS CONCLUSIONS

Posted on July 8, 2025 5 Comments

The Opposition leader, Inia Seruiratu, is calling on the Coalition government to release the entire COI Report on the Malimali affair in unredacted or uncensored form. And for very good reason. Because the Fijian people are being deprived of vital information that is shielding some very important people from scrutiny and enabling them to hoodwink … [Read more...] about # HOW CENSORING THE COI REPORT IS ENABLING BIMAN PRASAD AND MANOA KAMIKAMICA TO LIE ABOUT ITS CONCLUSIONS

# COMING SOON… BIMAN PRASAD’S FALSE BRAVADO AS THE NOOSE ALSO TIGHTENS AROUND HIS NECK

Posted on July 7, 2025 17 Comments

In an astonishing story in Tuesday's Fiji Times, the Deputy Prime Minister and NFP leader, Biman Prasad says he is "unfazed" by the findings of the Commission of Inquiry into the Barbara Malimali affair. The man is totally delusional. Because at the heart of the Report's findings is an examination of how Biman Prasad managed, by a whisker, to … [Read more...] about # COMING SOON… BIMAN PRASAD’S FALSE BRAVADO AS THE NOOSE ALSO TIGHTENS AROUND HIS NECK

# MANOA KAMIKAMICA CONTINUES TO LIE ABOUT HIS ROLE IN THE MALIMALI AFFAIR AND THE FIJIAN MEDIA IS ENABLING THOSE LIES.

Posted on July 7, 2025 26 Comments

Manoa Kamikamica, has responded to the seizure of his mobile phone by FICAC by doubling down on his preposterous claim that he had nothing to do with influencing the appointment of his friend, Barbara Malimali, as FICAC Commissioner. Worse, the Deputy Prime Minister exploits the gormlessness of the Fijian media by avoiding altogether the main … [Read more...] about # MANOA KAMIKAMICA CONTINUES TO LIE ABOUT HIS ROLE IN THE MALIMALI AFFAIR AND THE FIJIAN MEDIA IS ENABLING THOSE LIES.

About Grubsheet

Graham Davis
Grubsheet Feejee is the blogsite of Graham Davis, an award-winning journalist turned communications consultant who was the Fijian Government’s principal communications advisor for six years from 2012 to 2018 and continued to work on Fiji’s global climate and oceans campaign up until the end of the decade.

Fiji-born to missionary parents and a dual Fijian-Australian national, Graham spent four decades in the international media before returning to Fiji to work full time in 2012. He reported from many parts of the world for the BBC, ABC, SBS, the Nine and Seven Networks and Sky News and wrote for a range of newspapers and magazines in Australia, New Zealand and Fiji.

Graham launched Grubsheet Feejee in 2011 and suspended writing for it after the Fijian election of 2014, by which time he was working at the heart of government. But the website continued to attract hits as a background resource on events in Fiji in the transition back to parliamentary democracy.

Grubsheet relaunches in 2020 at one of the most critical times in Fijian history, with the nation reeling from the Covid-19 crisis and Frank Bainimarama’s government shouldering the twin burdens of incumbency and economic disintegration.

Grubsheet’s sole agenda is the national interest; the strengthening of Fiji’s ties with the democracies; upholding equal rights for all citizens; government that is genuinely transparent and free of corruption and nepotism; and upholding Fiji’s service to the world in climate and oceans advocacy and UN Peacekeeping.
