The sudden passing of one of the giants of the Fijian tourism industry and owner of the world-famous Kokomo Resort on Kadavu. Lang Walker not only built a huge property empire in Australia but fell in love with Fiji and Kadavu and built the island's tourism jewel, which transformed the local economy. Many Fijians who worked for him or … [Read more...] about # VALE LANG WALKER

# MAYBE NOT SO GAGA AFTER ALL

Posted on January 28, 2024 4 Comments

The Prime Minister has given an astonishing interview to the Fiji Times in which he says the reinstatement of Aseri Radrodro as Education minister "may take six months, a year or the end of the four-year Coalition government term". How about until hell freezes over? Because that's what Sitiveni Rabuka seems to be implying - that any hope that … [Read more...] about # MAYBE NOT SO GAGA AFTER ALL

# THE ATTORNEY GENERAL ENDORSES RACISM

"Just because they are foreigners, I think it is a bit unfair to give them their publicity" The dismissed Assistant Director of Public Prosecutions, Elizabeth Rice, will be claiming in her forthcoming legal action against the state that she was told by her boss, the illegal Acting DPP, John Rabuku, that she was being sacked because she was … [Read more...] about # THE ATTORNEY GENERAL ENDORSES RACISM

# A COWARD UP AGAINST THE WALL

Posted on January 27, 2024 11 Comments

Aseri Radrodro is not only a wife basher and and adulterer. He is a lying dog. (With apologies to our canine friends). At the 11th hour as the Prime Minister decides whether to reinstate him as Education Minister, he finally makes a public denial of a "romantic link" with Lynda Tabuya. You are in big trouble, mate. Because Victor Lal and I … [Read more...] about # A COWARD UP AGAINST THE WALL

# BURNING TARAUSESE OR DEMENTIA?

Posted on January 27, 2024 8 Comments

As the Fiji Times says, all eyes are now on the Prime Minister to see whether he will reinstate Aseri Radrodro - in other words, abandon principle and throw another lifeline to the man who almost killed his daughter and put him back in charge of the education of the nation's young people. It isn't enough that Aseri Radrodro is all over the … [Read more...] about # BURNING TARAUSESE OR DEMENTIA?

# IT ISN’T GOING AWAY

Posted on January 26, 2024 5 Comments

After the Times of London reported the scandal that the Fiji Times has studiously avoided and took it global, it was inevitable that the Lynda Tabuya- Aseri Radrodro "brutal" sex tryst in Room 233 of the Windsor Hotel in Melbourne was going to hit the Australian media and sure enough, it is now making news. This story in the country's most … [Read more...] about # IT ISN’T GOING AWAY

About Grubsheet

Graham Davis
Grubsheet Feejee is the blogsite of Graham Davis, an award-winning journalist turned communications consultant who was the Fijian Government’s principal communications advisor for six years from 2012 to 2018 and continued to work on Fiji’s global climate and oceans campaign up until the end of the decade.

Fiji-born to missionary parents and a dual Fijian-Australian national, Graham spent four decades in the international media before returning to Fiji to work full time in 2012. He reported from many parts of the world for the BBC, ABC, SBS, the Nine and Seven Networks and Sky News and wrote for a range of newspapers and magazines in Australia, New Zealand and Fiji.

Graham launched Grubsheet Feejee in 2011 and suspended writing for it after the Fijian election of 2014, by which time he was working at the heart of government. But the website continued to attract hits as a background resource on events in Fiji in the transition back to parliamentary democracy.

Grubsheet relaunches in 2020 at one of the most critical times in Fijian history, with the nation reeling from the Covid-19 crisis and Frank Bainimarama’s government shouldering the twin burdens of incumbency and economic disintegration.

Grubsheet’s sole agenda is the national interest; the strengthening of Fiji’s ties with the democracies; upholding equal rights for all citizens; government that is genuinely transparent and free of corruption and nepotism; and upholding Fiji’s service to the world in climate and oceans advocacy and UN Peacekeeping.
