# THE NFP BEGINS TO SHOW SIGNS OF PANIC AS BIMAN PRASAD’S CASE IS SET TO DRAG THROUGH ELECTION YEAR (UPDATED)

Posted on January 28, 2026 24 Comments

Four months after the NFP pledged "full and unwavering support" for its leader and sidelined deputy prime minister Biman Prasad over the criminal charges he is facing, that support is starting to waver. The latest developments in the case - that the pretrial conference won't be held until April 20 - have only increased the existing anxiety … [Read more...] about # THE NFP BEGINS TO SHOW SIGNS OF PANIC AS BIMAN PRASAD’S CASE IS SET TO DRAG THROUGH ELECTION YEAR (UPDATED)

# FIJI DEMEANS ITSELF BY ACCEPTING THE 21ST CENTURY EQUIVALENT OF BEADS AND MIRRORS TO BUY THE NATIVE’S FAVOURS

Posted on January 27, 2026 28 Comments

It isn't enough for the President, Ratu Naiqama Lalabalavu, to be an accused paedophile who impregnated a 15 year old girl with "special needs" who was the daughter of one of his retainers. It isn't enough for Sitiveni Rabuka to have made his chief the nation's Head of State when Lalabalavu is a convicted treasonist who served jail time for his … [Read more...] about # FIJI DEMEANS ITSELF BY ACCEPTING THE 21ST CENTURY EQUIVALENT OF BEADS AND MIRRORS TO BUY THE NATIVE’S FAVOURS

# “TABLES TURN!”, CRIES THE FIJI TIMES, AS RICHARD NAIDU USES THE PAPER HE ADVISES AS A WEAPON TO CRUSH THE COI (UPDATED)

Posted on January 26, 2026 10 Comments

Even before all investigations arising from the Commission of Inquiry into the Barbara Malimali affair are completed, the forces who have conspired to trash its recommendations are claiming victory and want anyone fingered by Justice David Ashton-Lewis absolved. Well they would, wouldn't they? Some very big reputations have been severely dented … [Read more...] about # “TABLES TURN!”, CRIES THE FIJI TIMES, AS RICHARD NAIDU USES THE PAPER HE ADVISES AS A WEAPON TO CRUSH THE COI (UPDATED)

# JUSTICE MUST NOT ONLY BE DONE BUT SEEN TO BE DONE*. AND THAT ISN’T HAPPENING IN SITIVENI RABUKA’S FIJI (UPDATED SATURDAY PM)

Posted on January 23, 2026 26 Comments

The announcement by the corrupt and conflicted Acting DPP, Nancy Tikoisuva, that not one of the 12 police investigations arising from the Ashton-Lewis Commission of Inquiry into the Barbara Malimali affair is to result in prosecutions is shocking enough in itself. Yet it was accompanied on the same day by the Solicitor General, Ropate Green … [Read more...] about # JUSTICE MUST NOT ONLY BE DONE BUT SEEN TO BE DONE*. # BREAKING NEWS… THE ODPP DECIDES NOT TO PROSECUTE ANY OF THE 12 POLICE CASES ARISING FROM THE COI

Posted on January 22, 2026 14 Comments

Incredibly, none of the 12 cases referred by police to the ODPP arising from the Ashton-Lewis Commission of Inquiry into the Malimali affair are to be prosecuted. Yet it isn't the end of the matter - far from it - as FICAC independently continues its pursuit of a number of cases involving prominent individuals. Detailed analysis to come on a … [Read more...] about # BREAKING NEWS… THE ODPP DECIDES NOT TO PROSECUTE ANY OF THE 12 POLICE CASES ARISING FROM THE COI

# ASERI RADRODRO TAKES HIS BEATING FROM THE PRIME MINISTER TO AVOID SODELPA BEING CUT LOOSE. PLUS THE SECRET FNU REPORT (UPDATED WED PM)

Posted on January 21, 2026 24 Comments

There's an exquisite irony in the Education Minister and SODELPA leader, Aseri Radrodro, being humiliated by the Prime Minister in having the Fiji National University stripped from him and taken into the Prime Minister's office despite the fact that it is completely against the law. The move effectively protects his former wife, the Prime … [Read more...] about # ASERI RADRODRO TAKES HIS BEATING FROM THE PRIME MINISTER TO AVOID SODELPA BEING CUT LOOSE. About Grubsheet

Graham Davis
Grubsheet Feejee is the blogsite of Graham Davis, an award-winning journalist turned communications consultant who was the Fijian Government’s principal communications advisor for six years from 2012 to 2018 and continued to work on Fiji’s global climate and oceans campaign up until the end of the decade.

Fiji-born to missionary parents and a dual Fijian-Australian national, Graham spent four decades in the international media before returning to Fiji to work full time in 2012. He reported from many parts of the world for the BBC, ABC, SBS, the Nine and Seven Networks and Sky News and wrote for a range of newspapers and magazines in Australia, New Zealand and Fiji.

Graham launched Grubsheet Feejee in 2011 and suspended writing for it after the Fijian election of 2014, by which time he was working at the heart of government. But the website continued to attract hits as a background resource on events in Fiji in the transition back to parliamentary democracy.

Grubsheet relaunches in 2020 at one of the most critical times in Fijian history, with the nation reeling from the Covid-19 crisis and Frank Bainimarama’s government shouldering the twin burdens of incumbency and economic disintegration.

Grubsheet’s sole agenda is the national interest; the strengthening of Fiji’s ties with the democracies; upholding equal rights for all citizens; government that is genuinely transparent and free of corruption and nepotism; and upholding Fiji’s service to the world in climate and oceans advocacy and UN Peacekeeping.
