# D-DAY ON THE CONSTITUTION. WE MUST FIGHT ANY NOTION THAT SOME FIJIANS ARE MORE EQUAL THAN OTHERS

Posted on August 29, 2025 18 Comments

We will know this afternoon at 2.30 pm whether the Supreme Court is going to give the green light to changes to the 2013 Constitution and at least one third of the nation is very much on edge. Why? Because we know that the majority party in the Coalition, Sitiveni Rabuka's People's Alliance, is looking to the Court to open up the prospect of … [Read more...] about # D-DAY ON THE CONSTITUTION. # THE ULTIMATE IRONY. GET RID OF A WHOLE LOT OF INDO-FIJIANS AND THEN BRING IN INDIANS FROM INDIA

The madness at the heart of the Coalition government is laid bare with the announcement that Fiji is looking for skilled workers from India to replace those Indo-Fijians who have given up on their country of birth and have moved overseas for good. More than 100,000 Fijians have joined the mass exodus from the country since the Coalition came to … [Read more...] about # THE ULTIMATE IRONY. History is repeating itself with Charlie Charters in his sustained campaign to destroy the credibility of Justice David Ashton-Lewis and Janet Mason - the iTaukei-speaking Fijian lawyer who was Counsel Assisting the landmark Supreme Court Commission of Inquiry into the Malimali Affair. We have seen it all before in the British-born expatriate's … [Read more...] about # WHITE MISCHIEF. CHARLIE CHARTERS SIDES WITH THE CROCODILES TO BRING DOWN THE ASHTON-LEWIS COMMISSION OF INQUIRY

# WELCOME TO FIJI – A COUNTRY LED BY AN ALLEGED CROOK UNDER ACTIVE INVESTIGATION FOR CORRUPTION

Posted on August 24, 2025 22 Comments

Only in Fiji would the Prime Minister embark on an overseas tour leaving the nation in the hands of one of his deputies who is being investigated by FICAC and is facing the prospect of years behind bars. Two of his fellow MPs have testified on oath that Manoa Kamikamica offered to use his friendship with the sacked FICAC Commissioner, Barbara … [Read more...] about # WELCOME TO FIJI – A COUNTRY LED BY AN ALLEGED CROOK UNDER ACTIVE INVESTIGATION FOR CORRUPTION

# IN A STATE ROTTEN TO THE CORE, THE CHIEF JUSTICE SOOLS THE POLICE ONTO THE SUPREME COURT JUDGE WHO HAS ACCUSED HIM OF CORRUPTION

Posted on August 23, 2025 38 Comments

It is an outrageous perversion of justice that the rogue Chief Justice, Salesi Temo, has escaped being investigated by the police yet has persuaded them to investigate Justice David Ashton-Lewis - the Supreme Court Judge who has accused Temo of obstructing justice, perjury and abuse of office. The Chief Justice as head of the Judicial Services … [Read more...] about # IN A STATE ROTTEN TO THE CORE, THE CHIEF JUSTICE SOOLS THE POLICE ONTO THE SUPREME COURT JUDGE WHO HAS ACCUSED HIM OF CORRUPTION

# THE SNAKE SLITHERS HITHER AND THITHER WHILE THE CROCODILES REMAIN IN PLACE

Posted on August 22, 2025 18 Comments

Our reptilian Prime Minister does what he always does in the face of Justice David Ashton-Lewis's withering criticism of his failure to act on the 17 recommendations of the Supreme Court Commission of Inquiry. He plays the hurt victim ("I'm sad that he has spoken out") and slithers away to hide under the nearest camouflage ("It's not the … [Read more...] about # THE SNAKE SLITHERS HITHER AND THITHER WHILE THE CROCODILES REMAIN IN PLACE

About Grubsheet

Graham Davis
Grubsheet Feejee is the blogsite of Graham Davis, an award-winning journalist turned communications consultant who was the Fijian Government’s principal communications advisor for six years from 2012 to 2018 and continued to work on Fiji’s global climate and oceans campaign up until the end of the decade.

Fiji-born to missionary parents and a dual Fijian-Australian national, Graham spent four decades in the international media before returning to Fiji to work full time in 2012. He reported from many parts of the world for the BBC, ABC, SBS, the Nine and Seven Networks and Sky News and wrote for a range of newspapers and magazines in Australia, New Zealand and Fiji.

Graham launched Grubsheet Feejee in 2011 and suspended writing for it after the Fijian election of 2014, by which time he was working at the heart of government. But the website continued to attract hits as a background resource on events in Fiji in the transition back to parliamentary democracy.

Grubsheet relaunches in 2020 at one of the most critical times in Fijian history, with the nation reeling from the Covid-19 crisis and Frank Bainimarama’s government shouldering the twin burdens of incumbency and economic disintegration.

Grubsheet’s sole agenda is the national interest; the strengthening of Fiji’s ties with the democracies; upholding equal rights for all citizens; government that is genuinely transparent and free of corruption and nepotism; and upholding Fiji’s service to the world in climate and oceans advocacy and UN Peacekeeping.
