As the Prime Minister and the leadership of the People's Alliance make the agonising choice whether to risk splitting the party to accommodate the Queen of Tarts, Lynda Tabuya, the Oxford-based Victor Lal at Fijileaks reminds us of several issues bubbling under the surface of Tabuya's sordid life that threaten to erupt into fresh scandal. !/ Her … [Read more...] about # THE TIME BOMB TICKING UNDER LYNDA TABUYA

# IS THE PEOPLE’S ALLIANCE A MORAL SEWER AS WELL AS BEING INCOMPETENT?

Posted on January 25, 2025 28 Comments

The moral authority of the People's Alliance to govern Fiji is very much on the line this weekend as the Fiji Times reports that the party is to retain the Queen of Tarts, Lynda Tabuya, as a member of the party and an MP despite her pornographic video, drug-taking, adultery with a married fellow minister and tissue of lies, including to the … [Read more...] about # IS THE PEOPLE’S ALLIANCE A MORAL SEWER AS WELL AS BEING INCOMPETENT?

# MOMENT OF TRUTH FOR THE QUEEN OF TARTS

Posted on January 24, 2025 20 Comments

Speculation is rife that Lynda Tabuya is to be expelled from the People's Alliance and will lose her seat in parliament when the party's disciplinary committee reports today to the party leadership, including Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka, on its deliberations over her infamous nude video. The former Minister for Women, Children and Social … [Read more...] about # MOMENT OF TRUTH FOR THE QUEEN OF TARTS

# GUESS WHO’S BACK RUNNING THE ODPP? THE “CROONING STALLION” HIMSELF

Posted on January 23, 2025 34 Comments

Back in June, three Supreme Court judges ruled that John Rabuku was ineligible to be acting DPP because he had been found guilty of professional misconduct and Rabuku was forced to relinquish the position. But seven months on, he is back running the ODPP in defiance of the Supreme Court while the substantive DPP, Christopher Pryde, is absent … [Read more...] about # GUESS WHO’S BACK RUNNING THE ODPP? # THE MANGY OLD OWL AND THE SIMPERING PUSSYCAT (UPDATED FRI AM)

Posted on January 22, 2025 30 Comments

For everything that is wrong with Fiji, try wresting yourself away from reality from a moment to join the fantasy world of Sitiveni Rabuka and Vijay Narayan. The so-called "Straight Talk" program consists of a limp-wristed interviewer holding his subject "accountable" with such probing questions as "what are your thoughts on that?" And then the … [Read more...] about # THE MANGY OLD OWL AND THE SIMPERING PUSSYCAT (UPDATED FRI AM)

# WHAT GAME IS WYLIE CLARKE PLAYING?

Posted on January 22, 2025 45 Comments

A statement by the President of the Fiji Law Society, Wylie Clarke, calling for the removal/stepping aside of Janet Mason - the Counsel Assisting the Commission of Inquiry into the "rotten" circumstances of the appointment of Barbara Malimali as FICAC Commissioner - has raised a number of questions about Wylie Clarke's motives. Ever since the … [Read more...] about # WHAT GAME IS WYLIE CLARKE PLAYING?

About Grubsheet

Graham Davis
Grubsheet Feejee is the blogsite of Graham Davis, an award-winning journalist turned communications consultant who was the Fijian Government’s principal communications advisor for six years from 2012 to 2018 and continued to work on Fiji’s global climate and oceans campaign up until the end of the decade.

Fiji-born to missionary parents and a dual Fijian-Australian national, Graham spent four decades in the international media before returning to Fiji to work full time in 2012. He reported from many parts of the world for the BBC, ABC, SBS, the Nine and Seven Networks and Sky News and wrote for a range of newspapers and magazines in Australia, New Zealand and Fiji.

Graham launched Grubsheet Feejee in 2011 and suspended writing for it after the Fijian election of 2014, by which time he was working at the heart of government. But the website continued to attract hits as a background resource on events in Fiji in the transition back to parliamentary democracy.

Grubsheet relaunches in 2020 at one of the most critical times in Fijian history, with the nation reeling from the Covid-19 crisis and Frank Bainimarama’s government shouldering the twin burdens of incumbency and economic disintegration.

Grubsheet’s sole agenda is the national interest; the strengthening of Fiji’s ties with the democracies; upholding equal rights for all citizens; government that is genuinely transparent and free of corruption and nepotism; and upholding Fiji’s service to the world in climate and oceans advocacy and UN Peacekeeping.
