# THE PRESIDENT’S OFFICIAL SECRETARY REPORTEDLY HAULED BEFORE THE MALIMALI COMMISSION OF INQUIRY

Posted on March 4, 2025 16 Comments

Could the following stories perchance be related, Fiji – the allegations Grubsheet reported eight days ago that someone in the President’s office didn’t pass on a letter from the Prime Minister to Ratu Naiqama Lalabalavu advising him to suspend Barbara Malimali and instead presented him with a letter from the Chief Justice advising him to send her on leave?

The person in question is reportedly Vukidonu Qionibaravi – the President’s new Official Secretary – who CFL Fiji Village has shone the spotlight on tonight (without naming her) with the following extraordinary disclosure.

And then there’s Grubsheet’s story from eight days ago that was never confirmed but takes on greater resonance with the revelation that the President’s official secretary was summoned to the COI.

All very intriguing. Could these stories perchance be related? It sure looks that way, don’t you think, Fiji?

Our full report on February 24, which some dismissed as gossip but has suddenly taken on new meaning.

# BOMBSHELL. WAS THE PRESIDENT MANIPULATED INTO NOT SUSPENDING BARBARA MALIMALI?

Vukidonu Qionibaravi should also come clean about her office affair with the former Secretary to the PMs Office which led to his forced retirement. She is part of the scheming cabal that is governing in the shadows.

So, the report comes out on the 11th of next month. I foresee Temo lifting one of his legs, letting out a a large fart, sticking his finger into a nostril, grunting and then ignoring the existence of the report altogether. As long as his full chow and salary isn’t affected, Temo is indifferent. He is a protected species, along with all the other iTaukeis who were appointed to their positions in this racist government.

Rabuka has already indirectly stated he doesn’t need to make the report public. As I mentioned before, the onus is on someone to leak the report to the media and this website so the public knows what really happened, and the recommendations. Besides that, he’s busy enjoying all his new expensive blings, while listening to sweet whispers in his ear by his favorite journalist, Cheerieann Wilson.

Someday, someone will find this report was being used as a door stopper in a civil service office. They’re also going to find all those invoices for the expensive blings purchased by Rabuka, or evidence of the people who have gifted them to him.

  3. Eventually people eventually says

Do these people understand that these things they are trying to do or have done will be found out eventually.

They could have at least tried to govern ethically in the first two years as that was that they were elected on but now they have destroyed their reputation in the process.
No moral standing they can stand on in the next elections.
They had that window of opportunity but intentionally did the opposite.

Was it greed, arrogance or plain stupidity or even worse have Machiavellian tendencies. It starts to look like they have that false facade all along, acting as angels but the devils underneath.
Wolves in sheep’s clothing. An example is the Queen of Porn, who had the privileges as a Minister of government but threw all that away so she can become a pornstar.

They have the ability to make a transformative budget for the Fijian people but chose instead to give tax breaks to a multi billion dollar water bottling company that exports the most lucrative product that Fiji has ever produced while slapping 15% Vat across the board on all items in shops across Fiji.
Had the chances to right the ship in the last 6 months but chose to hide the corruption by parachuting somebody into FICAC to stop the investigations into the government Ministers especially the Finance man. Now they have dug a grave on the first instance and now it is morphed into trying to save Malimali.

This could all have been avoided if they have done right in the first place.
The first 100 days was a window of opportunity but now they have created one disaster after another disaster.

    It is all their making.
Next time they preach about accountability and democracy somebody should tell them to shut up and go back to obscurity. Or shut them up in Korovou or Naboro.

    Bring on the 2026 elections.

    Lots of tangled affair GD.
You buy one and you get 5 for free. Just like freaking selling baigans in Fiji.
This is Rabuka’s Fiji. A repeat of his leadership from the last. Each day, a new drama and a new twist. One should draw a web of the drama that unfolds everyday. It will be simply amazeball 😂💩🤮

Who breaks the new twists each time? Well apart from what you do, GD.
Did you realise it is FijiLive? They are in bed with the government.
It’s so kind of them to twist and turn the saga to create curiosity.

Rabuka, it is about time you stop fooling yourself. People are over it. People are over you, Malimali, Biman, Tabuya, Kamikamica, Vosarogo, Siromi, Aseri, et.al. Meaning everyone in your coalition.

    Just retire.
    Go home.
    Collect bottles.
You have burnt the country down.
There is nothing left to say.

Makes me wonder how long will people keep sacrificing their career over worthless men in power.

Has anyone noticed that those at the junction and pushed under the bus are the women? One after another. I know these women are pretty dodgy themselves but they are the ones made to look worthless.

The PM, CJ, and President act clueless. But how long for! There will come a time when these women will flip. Why? Their image is already tainted and they will do anything to destroy anyone. Mark my words. These same women will cost Rabuka’s leadership to fall well before the next election.
Now watch that unfold for further news.

I learnt a new word today. And this word is ‘kakistocracy’.

I think there is no other word that could better describe this coalition government and their crew.

I voted for PAP in the last election and I’m not making this mistake again!

You forgot to give us its meaning. Kakistocracy: A government that is ruled by the least suitable, able, or experienced people in a state or country.

      You’re right. Very apt!

Let us invent a new word, kaisitocracy! After all, isn’t Parliament nearly full of them?

        Or kaisetocracy?

The MP who uttered that insult is likely to be in power now.

How the maggots have infiltrated Fiji. Every facet of life now has a maggot who eats into the society.

The proud legacy of Biman and Rabuka. Corruption at unprecedented levels.

Lets all enjoy the shit show.

So how many are there in this forum who voted for this mob?
You were blind, deaf and dumb at the time. And nothing has changed.
Just like the PM who supposedly had changed. Idiots will never change, it is a quirk of nature. One cannot change one’s DNA.
I mean, you must be a dumbo if you thought a well known and well documented dickhead from 38 years ago was going to change anything for the better. What do you think now?

I can tell you that am not relying on the government’s supporters for my readership, assuming they have anyone still stupid enough to be on side who hasn’t been given a job or some other kind of inducement.

Remember how the Fiji Times did a one and only Tebbutt poll after the election showing majority support for the PM and then none since? What does that tell you?

Here’s what I think. That the figures are so bad they are an embarrassment. Otherwise they would be crowing about it.

Tick, tick, tick. Except that Rolexes don’t make a sound. Only the silent progression of time running out on these jokers.

I can’t wait for the day when that golden Rolex watch will be sold to a corner shop to fund his retirement (again)!

He can’t even manage his personal finances. How in the world can he be trusted to run a country?

Na cudru ni vanua mai na tini ka va na veiyasana e Viti raraba ena muria na nona taba kawa vaka tolu se vaka va (The curse of both the land and the 14 provinces will follow his entire third and fourth generations down the line). He knows that, and that is why he’s not in a stable state of mind right now leading the country into chaos, confusion and misery.

The Father of all Coups – that will be his one and only legacy.

About Grubsheet

Graham Davis
Grubsheet Feejee is the blogsite of Graham Davis, an award-winning journalist turned communications consultant who was the Fijian Government’s principal communications advisor for six years from 2012 to 2018 and continued to work on Fiji’s global climate and oceans campaign up until the end of the decade.

Fiji-born to missionary parents and a dual Fijian-Australian national, Graham spent four decades in the international media before returning to Fiji to work full time in 2012. He reported from many parts of the world for the BBC, ABC, SBS, the Nine and Seven Networks and Sky News and wrote for a range of newspapers and magazines in Australia, New Zealand and Fiji.

Graham launched Grubsheet Feejee in 2011 and suspended writing for it after the Fijian election of 2014, by which time he was working at the heart of government. But the website continued to attract hits as a background resource on events in Fiji in the transition back to parliamentary democracy.

Grubsheet relaunches in 2020 at one of the most critical times in Fijian history, with the nation reeling from the Covid-19 crisis and Frank Bainimarama’s government shouldering the twin burdens of incumbency and economic disintegration.

Grubsheet’s sole agenda is the national interest; the strengthening of Fiji’s ties with the democracies; upholding equal rights for all citizens; government that is genuinely transparent and free of corruption and nepotism; and upholding Fiji’s service to the world in climate and oceans advocacy and UN Peacekeeping.
