# AN ENDURING SYMBOL OF THE DEGENERACY OF THE ITAUKEI ESTABLISHMENT UNDER SITIVENI RABUKA

Posted on November 24, 2025 11 Comments

A year after their drunken escapade at the annual conference of the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions, the Acting DPP, Nancy Tikoisuva, and her Deputy, John Rabuku, are still in place and the substantive DPP, Christopher Pryde, remains in exile facing trumped-up charges of expenses fraud.

Drunken Nancy and the Crooning Stallion. Nov 2024

It beggars belief that this is the calibre of the nation’s two most senior prosecutors, who party on at the nation’s expense and preside over an ODPP in a state of serious dysfunction.

This includes multiple reprimands from the bench for procedural delays including the late filing of case documents. The ODPP is facing a $20,000 claim for costs for failing to provide disclosures on time by Wylie Clarke, the President of the Fiji Law Society, on behalf of Neil Sharma in the trial of Sharma, Frank Bainimarama and Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum. (see below)

Laisani Tabuakoro

We are also being treated to the unprecedented and unedifying spectacle of the Assistant DPP, Laisani Tabuakoro – who triggered the costs claim – being sued for defamation by the former Elections Supervisor, Mohammed Saneem, for having branded him “an unethical lawyer” in an extraordinary LinkedIn and Facebook postings that, in itself, should have resulted in disciplinary action against Tabuakoro.

Yet discipline is woefully absent at the ODPP, just as it is in a string of offices of state that have been stacked with iTaukei loyalists of the Prime Minister and other members of the government and where wrongdoing is both tolerated and enabled. This includes blatant theft, as Grubsheet will soon reveal in our upcoming series on fraudulent parliamentary expenses claims.

Yet the Acting Attorney General, Siromi Turaga, has the temerity to boast of new standards of integrity and service in an address to this year’s ODPP annual conference, where party girl Nancy Tikoisuva and the “Crooning Stallion”, John Rabuku, were understandably on their best behaviour, yet with their appalling exhibition of being drunk on the public purse still fresh in the minds of many.

You can relive the entire gruesome spectacle – including the full video – in our story from precisely a year ago – November 23, 2024.

# YOUR TAXES AT WORK. JOHN AND NANCY LIVING IT UP AT THE ODPP’S CONFERENCE

This is what Siromi Turaga calls ” a system rooted in integrity” (shouldn’t that be rooted full stop?) – the trashing of our institutions by a bunch of self-entitled, self-serving , incompetent viavialevu enabled by a corrupt government now entering its final year.

Yes, Fiji. The day is fast approaching when voters will have the opportunity at the ballot box to call “time” on this party and bring the whole sorry farce to an end.

The Acting AG, his Permanent Secretary for Justice, Selina Kuruleca, and Sober Nancy this time

————————-

In another astonishing departure from its traditional role, the ODPP under Nancy Tikoisuva doesn’t just take it upon itself to make defamatory comments on Facebook but is usurping the power of the judiciary (and parliament) by actively advocating for harsher penalties.

———————

Memo Nancy:

It is your job to collate the statistics and present the relevant sentencing tariff to the courts. It is not your function to advocate for particular sentences. You should know as Acting DPP that sentencing is a judicial function. Or perhaps your fondness for the bottle ( er, make that lots of bottles ) has clouded your judgment.

Yet a lot of conventions are being routinely broken at the ODPP in Christopher Pryde’s absence. It includes senior prosecutors attacking others on social media and winding up in the defamation courts.

Who is going to pay for Laisani Tabuakoro’s defence of her ill-judged attack on Mohammed Saneem? Guess who, Fiji? After Barbara Malimali used public money to defend her private interests, it will undoubtedly be YOU.

—————–

Some background to this unseemly, completely unnecessary and potentially expensive tussle.

# DOBBY THE FORMER HOUSE ELF – REINVENTED AS LAWYER SANEEM -WIPES THE SMILE OFF LAISANI TABUAKURO’S FACE

And who is going to pay for Laisani Tabuakoro’s tardiness in the claim by Wylie Clarke for $20,000 in costs for his illustrious trio of clients? Guess what again, Fiji:

YOU.

—————-

Laisani Tabuakoro is a one-woman walking disaster all on her own. Christopher Pryde refused to renew her probation and terminated her employment. Yet once he was safely out of the way, party girl Nancy simply reinstated her as if nothing had happened.

So now we have the taxpayer liable for $20,000 in costs over one of Tabuakoro’s “oversights” and a possible substantial defamation payout to Mohammed Saneem if he wins his case against her. And all on top of her public attack on the Fiji Labour Party on Facebook and another Facebook posting prejudicing the trial of Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum.

And what does drunken Nancy and her patrons, Siromi Turaga, and the corrupt Chief Justice, Salesi Temo do? Zip, zero, zilch.

It is yet another nail in the coffin of the criminal justice system in Fiji and its crumbling integrity across a broad front.

# “WHEN AIYAZ SAYED KHAIYUM IS CONVICTED”. THE ASSISTANT DPP CONFIRMS FEARS THAT THE FORMER AG’S TRIAL IS A STITCH-UP (UPDATED FRIDAY AM)

Ain’t life grand under the Coalition and its army of partygoers, pretenders and misfits?

Tick, tick, tick.

NOTE TO READERS:

For more on Laisani Tabuakoro’s scandalous conduct and why Christopher Pryde was 100 per cent correct in wanting to terminate her services, simply type her name into the Grubsheet search engine on the right.

Justice that Siromi Turaga is talking about will itself be served if this Government and the ODPP practice a bit of ethics, morality and legality. No use for fancy jargons, just the basics of above principles…all have gone out the window for the Civil service inclusive of this Govt as soon as the snake – Rolex Rambo took power…

The coconut republic is what we coconuts and the baimaan’s dalit dogs wanted.

So now, we are stuck with it for as long as we live.

The scales are heavily weighted and the vulagi will never, ever, be able to hold their head high.

FFP gave them a fighting chance, then Baimaan’s dogs clamoured to be let out of the FFP domain.

Now they are reaping what they sowed so as to speak.

The quality of Fiji’s entire legal profession is pathetic—from the ODPP, chief justice and even private practice—including the overrated and overhyped Richard ‘I have the means’ Naidu. First, his defence of his baiman client, Biman, was that the World Bank boss was coming so he should not be arrested 😂.

If that’s not ridiculous enough, now he’s defending Baiman on flawed 10 year statutes of limitations argument regarding concealment from FIRCA.

Our wonder boy legal eagle’s absurd and flawed argument has been demolished by Victor Lal on Fiji leaks. Lal schooled Richard by pointing out what every law graduate knows:

    1. The offence is the concealment.
    2. The offence repeats every year the concealment continues.
    3. The offence becomes actionable when the concealment is discovered.
    4. It is not when the hidden asset was first created.

This same Richard Naidu tried to threaten GD with defamation regarding a legitimate report that every law graduate knows was easily defensible under the public interest argument.
Richard even added the now infamous boast, ‘I have the means’ to sue you. This is from a so-called media lawyer.

Bitches who flaunt their wealth and use it to try and intimidate and stop questions into public interest and accountability issues deserve no respect. They must be hounded and exposed.

Richie Rich’s legal knowledge stinks, just like his stupid sense of humour.

A hack who is too much of a wuss to call out Rabuka and weirdly managed to get his own client tax benefits but tax hikes for ordinary Fijians.

    Speaking about the taukei.

I caught a cab this morning in Vatuwaqa.

The Hindi taxi driver tells me that a Hindi taxi driver was bashed up and stripped naked yesterday.

All because he refused to squash 5 taukei into his 4 seater cab.

The taukei told him “we can do whatever we want – this is our country, we say you take 5 you take 5”.

My taxi driver knows this because he collected the bashed up driver from Vatuwaqa police post. There was no police there and upon ringing he was told “we have no vehicles”.

This incident will never make the news or be reflected in the crime statistics that are “falling at a rate of knots”.

Most probably the vehicles were either out at a soli, picking up kava or dropping off a relative.

In the days of FFP govt Qiliho would have made sure that the police did what they are paid to do.

    Hey GD,

I have more in the line of f**k ups by this circus of a government. So when Manoa was stabbed in the back just before Biman was by baku the snake, the communication ministry was handed over to his new favorite boy Naivalurua.

(BTW Naivalurua’s child is married to Ratu Inoke kubuabola’s child…so they are very much related now in more than just political ideology)

So although Naivalarua is supposedly coms minister appointed by baku the Gazette officially appointing hom coms minister hasn’t been done yet. That is why Naivalarua can’t and isnt attending any coms meetings etc. That’s how inept this coalition circus is.

I know the media prostitutes like Stanley, Vijay and Fred read your comments section. But they won’t do anything with a lead like this cos it will make their masters look bad.

If they do grow some balls on a day when pigs start flying then they would also want to look at why fiji tv is ready to sell up and throw in the towel, why Wales wants to buy fbc, why there is no outcome to the walesi investigation, why mai tv hasn’t paid it’s tv license worth many many thousands of dollars and why Walesi hasn’t been allowed to charge fijitv, fbc and faith for the services it provides for all the tv stations.

If that’s too difficult for you lazy, compromised inept c**ts then at least check out the naivalarua story. Oh and GD, two Christmases ago PS employment beat the shit out of one of his staff at the ministry Xmas party at your favorite restaurant in Tamavua, the one near kundan singh. Bugger was beaten to a pulp with a bloodied face.

Many people know about these sorts of hundreds of crazy f**ked up stories by the coalition circus. But people are now just too fed up and have become nonchalant just like they don’t care about reporting the sharp increase in crime and racism to our inept police anymore.

And now to add to the corruption and lack of transparency, a media blackout on the PM’s speech at the GCC meeting.

Fiji is descending to Fat Cat meetings behind closed doors. Isa Fiji.

These idiots will be back again Graham after GE 2026.
The coalition will stoke the voters emotionally along the lines of the fabled promised land and the fake country that is currently busy conducting a genocide with the help of USA.
Because they’ve got nothing constructive but f*ck all to show for since they were sworn in so the chosen people route is the only route for these village idiots.

About Grubsheet

Graham Davis
Grubsheet Feejee is the blogsite of Graham Davis, an award-winning journalist turned communications consultant who was the Fijian Government’s principal communications advisor for six years from 2012 to 2018 and continued to work on Fiji’s global climate and oceans campaign up until the end of the decade.

Fiji-born to missionary parents and a dual Fijian-Australian national, Graham spent four decades in the international media before returning to Fiji to work full time in 2012. He reported from many parts of the world for the BBC, ABC, SBS, the Nine and Seven Networks and Sky News and wrote for a range of newspapers and magazines in Australia, New Zealand and Fiji.

Graham launched Grubsheet Feejee in 2011 and suspended writing for it after the Fijian election of 2014, by which time he was working at the heart of government. But the website continued to attract hits as a background resource on events in Fiji in the transition back to parliamentary democracy.

Grubsheet relaunches in 2020 at one of the most critical times in Fijian history, with the nation reeling from the Covid-19 crisis and Frank Bainimarama’s government shouldering the twin burdens of incumbency and economic disintegration.

Grubsheet’s sole agenda is the national interest; the strengthening of Fiji’s ties with the democracies; upholding equal rights for all citizens; government that is genuinely transparent and free of corruption and nepotism; and upholding Fiji’s service to the world in climate and oceans advocacy and UN Peacekeeping.
