# THE PERVERSION OF JUSTICE AT THE HEART OF THE COI INVESTIGATION PROCESS

Posted on September 12, 2025 15 Comments

The Fiji Police are making a virtue of taking their time to investigate cases arising out of the Supreme Court Commission of Inquiry because of their importance. Yet the whole process is compromised because any decision to prosecute is going to be taken by individuals adversely named in the COI Report. First, here's what the police are saying … [Read more...] about # THE PERVERSION OF JUSTICE AT THE HEART OF THE COI INVESTIGATION PROCESS

Eyebrows will have been raised in the "Five Eyes" intelligence alliance of Australia, New Zealand, the US, Britain and Canada at the sight of Lynda Tabuya at Sitiveni Rabuka's right hand as he discussed an upgraded security arrangement with the Australian Prime Minister, Anthony Albanese, during the Pacific Islands Forum in Honiara. # FIJI STANDS SHOULDER TO SHOULDER WITH ISRAEL AT THE WORST POSSIBLE TIME

Posted on September 10, 2025 40 Comments

Sitiveni Rabuka has upended decades of even-handedness in Fiji's foreign policy by siding resolutely with Israel as it shocks the world by bombing Qatar for the first time and prepares for a full invasion of Gaza. What happened to our policy of being "friends to all and enemies to none"? Flushed down the toilet as the Prime Minister prepares to … [Read more...] about # FIJI STANDS SHOULDER TO SHOULDER WITH ISRAEL AT THE WORST POSSIBLE TIME

# CHRISTIAN FREELOADERS, COALITION PONTIUS PILATES AND AN AIRLINE THAT SHOULD HAVE DEMANDED PAYMENT UP FRONT

Posted on September 9, 2025 52 Comments

Fiji Airways was insisting back in October 2023 that its decision to fly a planeload of Christian pilgrims from Fiji to Israel to commemorate the Feast of the Tabernacle was strictly a commercial decision. Some decision. It has cost the majority public-owned national airline some $2-million in unpaid bills and triggered a wave of litigation. … [Read more...] about # CHRISTIAN FREELOADERS, COALITION PONTIUS PILATES AND AN AIRLINE THAT SHOULD HAVE DEMANDED PAYMENT UP FRONT

# GOD HELP US, FIJI. THIS IS THE QUALITY OF OUR LEADERSHIP

Posted on September 8, 2025 18 Comments

So after having put his attendance at the Pacific Islands Forum meeting in Honiara in doubt, the lame Prime Minister arrives in the Solomons capital after all, with his "Minister for Bullsh*t, Bonking and Weed" in tow. What on earth was all the bullsh*t about last week of having an "important matter" to discuss with the President about the … [Read more...] about # GOD HELP US, FIJI. About Grubsheet

Graham Davis
Grubsheet Feejee is the blogsite of Graham Davis, an award-winning journalist turned communications consultant who was the Fijian Government’s principal communications advisor for six years from 2012 to 2018 and continued to work on Fiji’s global climate and oceans campaign up until the end of the decade.

Fiji-born to missionary parents and a dual Fijian-Australian national, Graham spent four decades in the international media before returning to Fiji to work full time in 2012. He reported from many parts of the world for the BBC, ABC, SBS, the Nine and Seven Networks and Sky News and wrote for a range of newspapers and magazines in Australia, New Zealand and Fiji.

Graham launched Grubsheet Feejee in 2011 and suspended writing for it after the Fijian election of 2014, by which time he was working at the heart of government. But the website continued to attract hits as a background resource on events in Fiji in the transition back to parliamentary democracy.

Grubsheet relaunches in 2020 at one of the most critical times in Fijian history, with the nation reeling from the Covid-19 crisis and Frank Bainimarama’s government shouldering the twin burdens of incumbency and economic disintegration.

Grubsheet’s sole agenda is the national interest; the strengthening of Fiji’s ties with the democracies; upholding equal rights for all citizens; government that is genuinely transparent and free of corruption and nepotism; and upholding Fiji’s service to the world in climate and oceans advocacy and UN Peacekeeping.
