# SHAMIMA ALI HAS LOST THE PLOT AND MUST GO

Posted on March 7, 2024 29 Comments

The Head of the Fiji Women's Crisis Centre surely ought to be acutely concerned about the conduct and integrity of the Coalition's Minister for Women and Children yet Shamima Ali seems more intent on protecting a fellow member of the sisterhood no matter how scandalous her behaviour. The spectacle of Shamima Ali leaping to the defence of Lynda … [Read more...] about # SHAMIMA ALI HAS LOST THE PLOT AND MUST GO

# WHEN LYNDA LOSES THE NATION’S WOMEN, SHE LOSES THE LOT

Posted on March 7, 2024 12 Comments

It's been noticeable for some time that the Minister for Bonking and Weed is rapidly losing the support of the nation's women as news spreads - despite the lack of mainstream media coverage in Fiji - of the sex and drug scandal that will inevitably cost her the women and children's portfolio in the cabinet. Lynda Tabuya's position is … [Read more...] about # WHEN LYNDA LOSES THE NATION’S WOMEN, SHE LOSES THE LOT

# FRED, THE SLEEPING MEDIA WATCHDOG, OPENS ONE EYE

Posted on March 7, 2024 11 Comments

It has taken Radio New Zealand to prompt Fiji's supposed newspaper of record since 1869 to finally start reporting the sex and drug scandal that has enveloped the Minister for Bonking and Weed. It is all so "unfair", the Fiji Times quotes the Great Temptress as saying. In essence, the argument runs thus. Dua: As a woman, I should be able to … [Read more...] about # FRED, THE SLEEPING MEDIA WATCHDOG, OPENS ONE EYE

# THE SUSPENDED DPP. THE PATIENCE OF JOB

Posted on March 7, 2024 5 Comments

So almost a year after he was suspended as DPP and famously left his office carrying the “Keep Calm and Carry On” sign that had become the office motto, Christopher Pryde finally gets the judicial tribunal the Constitution stipulates to hear the accusation against him of misbehaviour. It will have been extremely difficult for him to keep calm – … [Read more...] about # THE SUSPENDED DPP. THE PATIENCE OF JOB

# THE GREAT TEMPTRESS SHOOTS HERSELF IN THE HEAD

Posted on March 6, 2024 35 Comments

Lynda Tabuya has gone on the offensive against the People's Alliance Executive Council and the disciplinary committee that found the sex and drug allegations against her proven. In an astonishing interview with Radio New Zealand, the Minister for Bonking and Weed says those who have pronounced her guilty have always had it in for her. Tabuya … [Read more...] about # THE GREAT TEMPTRESS SHOOTS HERSELF IN THE HEAD

# CALLING IT FOR WHAT IT IS. CONGRATULATIONS FIJI SUN

Posted on March 6, 2024 12 Comments

There is hope for the Fijian media after all when a paper with a chequered history in the form of the Fiji Sun brands Lynda Tabuya a "straight-faced liar" and demands that the Prime Minister, Sitiveni Rabuka, sack her. If indeed, the PM dismisses the Minister for Bonking and Weed when he returns from Australia later in the week, it will be in … [Read more...] about # CALLING IT FOR WHAT IT IS. About Grubsheet

Graham Davis
Grubsheet Feejee is the blogsite of Graham Davis, an award-winning journalist turned communications consultant who was the Fijian Government’s principal communications advisor for six years from 2012 to 2018 and continued to work on Fiji’s global climate and oceans campaign up until the end of the decade.

Fiji-born to missionary parents and a dual Fijian-Australian national, Graham spent four decades in the international media before returning to Fiji to work full time in 2012. He reported from many parts of the world for the BBC, ABC, SBS, the Nine and Seven Networks and Sky News and wrote for a range of newspapers and magazines in Australia, New Zealand and Fiji.

Graham launched Grubsheet Feejee in 2011 and suspended writing for it after the Fijian election of 2014, by which time he was working at the heart of government. But the website continued to attract hits as a background resource on events in Fiji in the transition back to parliamentary democracy.

Grubsheet relaunches in 2020 at one of the most critical times in Fijian history, with the nation reeling from the Covid-19 crisis and Frank Bainimarama’s government shouldering the twin burdens of incumbency and economic disintegration.

Grubsheet’s sole agenda is the national interest; the strengthening of Fiji’s ties with the democracies; upholding equal rights for all citizens; government that is genuinely transparent and free of corruption and nepotism; and upholding Fiji’s service to the world in climate and oceans advocacy and UN Peacekeeping.
