As a furore rages in the Indo-Fijian community over four former FijiFirst MPs siding with the Coalition to change the 2013 Constitution, a disturbing video clip has emerged on social media showing an iTaukei man telling an Indo-Fijian to "go back to India". Suddenly, the pretence of multiculturalism and inclusion under Sitiveni Rabuka's … [Read more...] about # THE EX-FIJIFIRST DOGLAS (TRAITORS) DOUBLE DOWN AS OVERT RACISM ERUPTS AGAINST THE MINORITIES.

# LYNDA TABUYA’S ADMISSION OF GUILT FOR THE DRUGS AND SEX IN ROOM 233 AND MAKING PORN

The Queen of Tarts is in a terrible bind as she tries to explain why she has made a formal apology to the government as part of her campaign to weasel her way back into the affections of her Prime Minister and party and return to the Coalition ministry. Because even the dumbest Fijian knows that you don't apologise for anything if you've done … [Read more...] about # LYNDA TABUYA’S ADMISSION OF GUILT FOR THE DRUGS AND SEX IN ROOM 233 AND MAKING PORN

Dialogue Fiji and its head, Nilesh Lal, have thrown a big spanner into the Coalition government's blueprint to change the 2013 Constitution with a statement criticising its plan to remove the requirement for a referendum of voters and rely solely on a vote in Parliament to push through its agenda. # MR MAGOO’S BILL TO CHANGE THE CONSTITUTION IS UNLAWFUL, EVEN IF THE COALITION CAN GET THE NUMBERS IN PARLIAMENT

Posted on March 7, 2025 22 Comments

Much of the legal profession is in shock at the Bill introduced in the parliament on Wednesday night by the Attorney General, Graham Leung, to alter the 2013 Constitution. It isn't just the shoddy drafting, including a numbering mistake in the margin. The entire document is illegal. That's right, folks. Unlawful. Why? Because it takes the supreme … [Read more...] about # MR MAGOO’S BILL TO CHANGE THE CONSTITUTION IS UNLAWFUL, EVEN IF THE COALITION CAN GET THE NUMBERS IN PARLIAMENT

About Grubsheet

Graham Davis
Grubsheet Feejee is the blogsite of Graham Davis, an award-winning journalist turned communications consultant who was the Fijian Government’s principal communications advisor for six years from 2012 to 2018 and continued to work on Fiji’s global climate and oceans campaign up until the end of the decade.

Fiji-born to missionary parents and a dual Fijian-Australian national, Graham spent four decades in the international media before returning to Fiji to work full time in 2012. He reported from many parts of the world for the BBC, ABC, SBS, the Nine and Seven Networks and Sky News and wrote for a range of newspapers and magazines in Australia, New Zealand and Fiji.

Graham launched Grubsheet Feejee in 2011 and suspended writing for it after the Fijian election of 2014, by which time he was working at the heart of government. But the website continued to attract hits as a background resource on events in Fiji in the transition back to parliamentary democracy.

Grubsheet relaunches in 2020 at one of the most critical times in Fijian history, with the nation reeling from the Covid-19 crisis and Frank Bainimarama’s government shouldering the twin burdens of incumbency and economic disintegration.

Grubsheet’s sole agenda is the national interest; the strengthening of Fiji’s ties with the democracies; upholding equal rights for all citizens; government that is genuinely transparent and free of corruption and nepotism; and upholding Fiji’s service to the world in climate and oceans advocacy and UN Peacekeeping.
