# IS THE FIJI TIMES DELIBERATELY TRYING TO DAMAGE LYNDA TABUYA?

Posted on February 10, 2025 32 Comments

The first rule of crisis management is to staunch the bleed. Which when it comes to politics, means starving a negative story of oxygen. To shut it down so that it is out of the headlines and you can begin the task of saving the rest of the furniture and moving on. It is why the management of the People's Alliance is reported to have told Lynda … [Read more...] about # IS THE FIJI TIMES DELIBERATELY TRYING TO DAMAGE LYNDA TABUYA?

# EXPOSED: HOW GRACE ROAD HAS FIJI BY THE THROAT

A major investigation for The Economist - one of the world's most prestigious magazines - has revealed the full extent of the hold on Fiji of the South Korean doomsday cult, Grace Road. As Daniel Kim - the local leader of Grace Road and son of its founder - continues to chalk up wins in the courts to prevent his extradition, The Economist … [Read more...] about # EXPOSED: HOW GRACE ROAD HAS FIJI BY THE THROAT

# A SUNDAY REFLECTION. LUKE 1:42 “BLESSED ARE YOU AMONG WOMEN” (UPDATED MON AM)

Posted on February 9, 2025 26 Comments

The normal rules simply don't apply to the Queen of Tarts. Found guilty of drug-taking and illicit sex by her own party, stripped of its deputy leadership, stripped of her position as minister for women and children after making a pornographic video, and with evidence that she lied about her marital status to avoid declaring her true income, she … [Read more...] about # A SUNDAY REFLECTION. # THE CORRUPT FIJI TIMES AGAIN TRIES TO REWRITE HISTORY (UPDATED SUNDAY AM)

Posted on February 8, 2025 21 Comments

The decision by the ODPP to discontinue its prosecution of the Fiji Times over the vile hate speech against Muslims that it published in its iTaukei vernacular paper, Nai Lalakai, in 2016 has triggered more self-righteousness from the paper's Editor, Fred Wesley, and a tamani-sized lie. Here's what Fred Wesley says in today's edition in response … [Read more...] about # THE CORRUPT FIJI TIMES AGAIN TRIES TO REWRITE HISTORY (UPDATED SUNDAY AM)

# COULD THESE TWO PUBLICITY ADDICTS PERCHANCE BE RELATED?

Posted on February 7, 2025 21 Comments

Much of the world was startled last week when rapper Kayne West's wife - the Australian model Bianca Censori -stripped off on the Red Carpet at the Grammy Awards in Los Angeles. But the decidedly odd couple didn't seem to realise it had all been done before. "Yo Dude, what's up man? Are you so drug f**ked that you think your Bianca is the first … [Read more...] about # COULD THESE TWO PUBLICITY ADDICTS PERCHANCE BE RELATED?

# THE PEOPLE’S ALLIANCE GIVES THE QUEEN OF TARTS FREE REIN TO WAGE A VENDETTA

Posted on February 7, 2025 24 Comments

It beggars belief that the People's Alliance didn't gag Lynda Tabuya from further comment in exchange for keeping her in the Party and the parliament after the public furore over her pornographic nude video. Instead she is all over the media in Fiji and overseas threatening those she accuses of leaking the video with legal action when what they did … [Read more...] about # THE PEOPLE’S ALLIANCE GIVES THE QUEEN OF TARTS FREE REIN TO WAGE A VENDETTA

About Grubsheet

Graham Davis
Grubsheet Feejee is the blogsite of Graham Davis, an award-winning journalist turned communications consultant who was the Fijian Government’s principal communications advisor for six years from 2012 to 2018 and continued to work on Fiji’s global climate and oceans campaign up until the end of the decade.

Fiji-born to missionary parents and a dual Fijian-Australian national, Graham spent four decades in the international media before returning to Fiji to work full time in 2012. He reported from many parts of the world for the BBC, ABC, SBS, the Nine and Seven Networks and Sky News and wrote for a range of newspapers and magazines in Australia, New Zealand and Fiji.

Graham launched Grubsheet Feejee in 2011 and suspended writing for it after the Fijian election of 2014, by which time he was working at the heart of government. But the website continued to attract hits as a background resource on events in Fiji in the transition back to parliamentary democracy.

Grubsheet relaunches in 2020 at one of the most critical times in Fijian history, with the nation reeling from the Covid-19 crisis and Frank Bainimarama’s government shouldering the twin burdens of incumbency and economic disintegration.

Grubsheet’s sole agenda is the national interest; the strengthening of Fiji’s ties with the democracies; upholding equal rights for all citizens; government that is genuinely transparent and free of corruption and nepotism; and upholding Fiji’s service to the world in climate and oceans advocacy and UN Peacekeeping.
