# A MONUMENTAL POLITICAL OWN GOAL

Posted on February 5, 2025 17 Comments

Well at least, Fiji, we now know why the People's Alliance and Coalition generally are so chronically hopeless at governing the country. The PAP can't even govern itself and the conclusive proof of that is its decision to allow Lynda Tabuya to remain a member and an MP and be part of its team to contest the next election. The notion that she … [Read more...] about # A MONUMENTAL POLITICAL OWN GOAL

# COMING SOON. THE EXTRADITEABLES. BUT WHY DID I MISS OUT ON A PART?

Posted on February 5, 2025 36 Comments

Grubsheet is seeking legal advice as to whether I can lodge a formal complaint with the authorities about the collateral damage of the Queen of Tarts, Lynda Tabuya, pursuing legal action against Victor Lal in Britain and Alex Forwood in Australia over her leaked video and not me. It is patently unfair that they get all the limelight and not … [Read more...] about # COMING SOON. THE EXTRADITEABLES. BUT WHY DID I MISS OUT ON A PART?

# THE PEOPLE’S ALLIANCE. THE PARTY OF DRUG TAKERS, ADULTERERS, LIARS AND HARLOTS

Posted on February 4, 2025 18 Comments

Well, Fiji, this is what we expected and this is what we got - the main political party in the country as a refuge for behaviour that would not pass muster outside a Texas whorehouse. Lynda Tabuya has been saved. But the People's Alliance has consigned itself to the outer reaches of the moral wilderness and cannot be considered an acceptable … [Read more...] about # THE PEOPLE’S ALLIANCE. # THE FIJI TIMES CARPETED FOR ITS AXE JOB ON JANET MASON

Posted on February 4, 2025 35 Comments

Reports reaching Grubsheet say that the lawyer for the Fiji Times, Richard "I have the means and make mine Fiji Water" Naidu, has been given a hard time by Justice David Ashton Lewis at the Malimali Commission of Inquiry over the paper's disgraceful front page attack yesterday on the Counsel Assisting, Janet Mason. Richard Naidu was summoned to … [Read more...] about # THE FIJI TIMES CARPETED FOR ITS AXE JOB ON JANET MASON

# THE CORRUPT FIJI TIMES PLAYS LAPDOG FOR A CORRUPT SYSTEM

Posted on February 3, 2025 45 Comments

The corruption of Fiji's traditional newspaper of record under the Motibhai Patel family of Ba has reached a new low with an extraordinary front page attack on Janet Mason - the Counsel Assisting the Commission of Inquiry into the "rotten " circumstances of the appointment of the FICAC Commissioner, Barbara Malimali. It is crude propaganda … [Read more...] about # THE CORRUPT FIJI TIMES PLAYS LAPDOG FOR A CORRUPT SYSTEM

# IN THE FACE OF GROSS INTIMIDATION, THE DPP AGAIN DELAYS HIS RETURN TO FIJI (UPDATED MON AM)

Posted on February 2, 2025 32 Comments

The vile threat by the rogue Chief Justice, Salesi Temo, to again suspend the DPP, Christopher Pryde, for misbehaviour on trumped-up charges of financial misconduct have had their inevitable conclusion, with Pryde declining to return to Fiji until the threat is lifted. The New Zealander was meant to return to Gunu House tomorrow to resume normal … [Read more...] about # IN THE FACE OF GROSS INTIMIDATION, THE DPP AGAIN DELAYS HIS RETURN TO FIJI (UPDATED MON AM)

About Grubsheet

Graham Davis
Grubsheet Feejee is the blogsite of Graham Davis, an award-winning journalist turned communications consultant who was the Fijian Government’s principal communications advisor for six years from 2012 to 2018 and continued to work on Fiji’s global climate and oceans campaign up until the end of the decade.

Fiji-born to missionary parents and a dual Fijian-Australian national, Graham spent four decades in the international media before returning to Fiji to work full time in 2012. He reported from many parts of the world for the BBC, ABC, SBS, the Nine and Seven Networks and Sky News and wrote for a range of newspapers and magazines in Australia, New Zealand and Fiji.

Graham launched Grubsheet Feejee in 2011 and suspended writing for it after the Fijian election of 2014, by which time he was working at the heart of government. But the website continued to attract hits as a background resource on events in Fiji in the transition back to parliamentary democracy.

Grubsheet relaunches in 2020 at one of the most critical times in Fijian history, with the nation reeling from the Covid-19 crisis and Frank Bainimarama’s government shouldering the twin burdens of incumbency and economic disintegration.

Grubsheet’s sole agenda is the national interest; the strengthening of Fiji’s ties with the democracies; upholding equal rights for all citizens; government that is genuinely transparent and free of corruption and nepotism; and upholding Fiji’s service to the world in climate and oceans advocacy and UN Peacekeeping.
